How are the angle grinder pages split?

A general angle grinder comparison sits beside pages for 115 mm, 125 mm, 9 inch, variable speed, mini and air tools, plus separate brand ranges. Quick-release nuts and stands are their own comparisons, because they are accessories rather than grinders. Use the page that matches the disc size or the supply you already have. A 230 mm body is a different tool from a small 115 mm grinder.

What is the difference between an impact driver and an impact wrench?

An impact driver takes a hex-shank bit for screws. An impact wrench takes a socket, which is the usual tool for wheel nuts. Cordless, mains and air impact-driver pages on this hub each include a guide on that split. Read the drive size on the listing before you compare a torque figure. A high torque number does not turn a driver into a wrench.

When should you look at a corded, cordless or air tool?

A corded tool runs from a socket for as long as the job needs. A cordless kit includes a battery and a charger, and a bare body only helps if you already own a matching pack. Air angle grinders, air die grinders, air impact drivers and air tool sets need a compressor and a coupler that fits. The comparison states what the listing includes.

UK mains are nominally 230 V, and a household plug is BS 1363. A 110 V tool is for a site supply, not a normal socket.
