Fit the gun before you read the psi

The adapter decides whether a hose is useful. A Kärcher-style bayonet, a Nilfisk bayonet and a Bosch AQT connection are not interchangeable simply because the products are all pressure washers. Check the model of the gun, not just the pump, because the drain hose normally connects where the spray lance fits. With the washer switched off and disconnected, the correct adapter should engage fully without cutting, filing or forcing any part. The black StoneBanks listings show why the title alone is insufficient. Their titles include K4, but a bullet says the hose is not compatible with K4, and saved reviews disagree about whether it fitted. The pipe has to accept the nozzle

A fitting that clicks is useless if the head cannot enter or turn in the pipe. Kärcher's PC 7.5 and PC 15 instructions specify a pipe of at least 40 mm, a bend radius of at least 70 mm and bends no sharper than 90 degrees. Those figures apply to Kärcher's set, not automatically to every marketplace nozzle. Approved Document H uses 32 mm as a common minimum for a washbasin waste, below that 40 mm figure, and the trap adds tight changes of direction. A listing that mentions sinks or toilets does not prove the nozzle will pass your trap. Use a gully, rodding eye or inspection chamber unless you can isolate, dismantle and reseal a trap yourself.

Length is the run you can measure

Buy enough hose to reach the obstruction from a safe access point, with a little working allowance. Ten metres suits a nearby gully; the DANCINGBOAR 10 m and StoneBanks 10 m options match that job. Fifteen metres is the centre of this set. STYDDI, OHAYORI and the Nilfisk cleaner all use that length. Twenty or thirty metres makes sense only when you know the route. RUHUHUR supplies 20 m and HuaCommerce 30 m, but extra hose does not create extra washer power. Reviews mention coil memory, kinking and a hose looping in the drain. A chamber eight metres from the washer with a four-metre branch is a 15 m job with allowance.

Only after fit, access and length should you compare the printed pressure. A title stating 5800 psi or 400 bar is the hose's claimed ceiling, not the pressure a domestic washer delivers. When not to buy a hose

Do not buy a jetter hose if you lack a compatible pressure washer, cannot identify safe access, or suspect roots or a collapsed pipe. These kits can clear leaves, kitchen residue and reachable 110 mm runs, but one HuaCommerce buyer still needed professional jetting for roots. Common questions

Is 5800 psi better than 180 bar?
Not by itself. These figures are listing claims for the hose's pressure ceiling, not a measured nozzle output. Your pressure washer supplies the actual pressure and flow. Match the adapter, pipe and length first; a correctly fitted 180 bar hose on your washer is more useful than a 5800 psi-labelled hose that does not connect.
Do I need 10 m, 15 m, 20 m or 30 m?
Measure the route from the gun through the access point to the likely blockage. Choose the shortest hose that covers that route with working allowance. Ten metres suits a nearby gully, 15 m covers many household runs, and 20–30 m should be reserved for a known longer pipe.
Can I use a jetter in a 32 mm sink trap?
Do not assume so. Kärcher specifies at least 40 mm pipe for its PC hose, while 32 mm is common for basin wastes and the trap adds tight bends. A marketplace listing that says sink does not provide a clearance measurement for your waste. Use suitable access or call a plumber.
