Privacy
This notice explains what productscompared.co.uk does with information about visitors. It was last updated on 19 October 2026.
Who is responsible
The controller is Pappenberger Ventures LTD, Napoleontos 15, House 5, 8560 Pegeia, Paphos, Cyprus. Email: contact the publisher.
The site is aimed at people in the United Kingdom. The controller is established in Cyprus. UK visitors can rely on the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 for the way this site handles their information.
What we do not collect
There is no account, no newsletter and no checkout on this site. We do not ask you to send a name, address or payment card. Buying happens on amazon.co.uk, under Amazon’s own privacy notice.
Information the site uses
Essential
The site stores your cookie choice in the browser under the key cookie-consent. That record says whether you allowed analytics and marketing cookies, and when you chose. It is required so we do not load optional tools before you agree. The legal basis is that the site cannot honour your choice without storing it.
Analytics, only if you allow it
Google Analytics 4 is loaded on each page so the site can count visits. Until you allow analytics, Google Consent Mode is set to denied: Google is told not to store analytics or advertising cookies. Google may still receive a cookieless page measurement. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC process that data. GA4 is also configured with IP anonymisation.
Vercel Analytics, which measures page views of the hosted site, is loaded only after you allow analytics cookies. Vercel Inc. processes that data. If you reject analytics, Vercel Analytics is not loaded.
The legal basis for optional analytics is consent. You can withdraw it by clearing the site data in your browser and choosing again.
Marketing, only if you allow it
If you accept marketing cookies, we update Google’s consent signals so advertising storage and ad personalisation may be used. We do not run our own advertising network. The legal basis is consent.
Preferred source button
The footer loads a script from Google (news.google.com) so you can add productscompared.co.uk as a preferred source. That script is how the button talks to Google. Google’s own privacy notice applies to what Google does after you use it.
Affiliate links
A shop link includes the Amazon Associates tag pcuk26-21. When you follow it, Amazon receives the fact that the visit came from this site, under Amazon’s privacy notice. We do not receive your Amazon account details or what you paid.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. The host keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and the URL requested, to deliver the page and to protect the service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure site.
How long we keep it
Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it. We do not keep a separate customer database. Analytics providers keep their own aggregates under their retention settings. Server logs follow the host’s ordinary retention.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. Processors are the host (Vercel) and, where the tools above run, Google. When you open an affiliate link, Amazon receives that visit under Amazon’s own privacy notice. We do not pass your Amazon account or payment details to anyone, because we never receive them.
Transfers outside the UK
The publisher is in Cyprus. Google and Vercel may process data in the United States and other countries. Where a transfer needs a safeguard, we rely on the provider’s UK or EU transfer mechanism, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, as that provider offers them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain.
