Einhell corded or cordless angle grinder

Updated: October 2026

An Einhell corded or cordless angle grinder comes down to the socket, the length of the job, and whether you already own an 18 V battery. Four of the eleven machines in our [Einhell angle grinder comparison](/hub/tools/einhell-angle-grinder) are 230 V. Seven are 18 V Power X-Change. Peter F., DIY & tools editor, checked the amazon.co.uk listings on 19 October 2026. There is no laboratory cut. A corded tool fits a socket or a buyer with no pack. An 18 V body fits a 2.5 Ah pack you hold, or the £69.50 kit. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Four corded tools, seven cordless listings

The 500 W TC-AG 115 is £32.95, 1.54 kg and 12,000 rpm. The TC-AG 115/750 is £32.50 and 11,000 rpm, with 720 W on one row and 750 W in the title. The 2,000 W TE-AG 230/2000 is £68.99 and 5.63 kg. The 2,350 W TE-AG 230 is £82.59 and 6.4 kg. Both large tools run at 6,500 rpm. The seven cordless listings are 18 V and stop at 125 mm. Einhell UK’s 36 V AXXIO 36/230 Q is not in this set, so a 230 mm cut here needs a lead. None of the corded files prints a BS 1363 plug. Conflicts are in our Einhell angle grinder buying guide.

Solo, kit, or title only

Solo means no battery, no charger and no disc. The TE-AG 18/115 Li Solo at £39.98 and the TC solo at £43.83 run at 8,500 rpm. A bare body makes sense with a pack of 2.5 Ah or higher. Only the TC-AG 18/115 kit (B0DHCHGGPF) at £69.50 names a 4.0 Ah battery and charger. You still buy the disc. B08WBLL9WT at £81.28 says battery in the title and has no components row. How the kit ranks is in our best Einhell angle grinder guide.

Testsieger

Einhell Einhell TP-AG 18/125 CE Q
9.4/10about £104.00

Brush, brushless, and how long a pack lasts

Only three bare Professional bodies are brushless: AXXIO 18/115 at £84.95, TP-AG 18/125 CE Q at £104.00 (3,000–10,500 rpm) and flat-head TP-AG 18/125 F at £104.99. On the CE Q, the brushless bullet overrides a “Carbon Brush Motors” row. The £69.50 kit and both solos are brush motors. “12 watts” on the £39.98 solo is not motor power. “700 W” and “900 W” are corded-equivalent claims. Einhell UK rates the 4.0 Ah kit for 40 cuts in 12 mm round steel.

Which power source matches the job

Choose 18 V when the work is out of easy cable reach and the cut is short. With a 2.5 Ah pack, the £39.98 solo covers 115 mm cuts and the £104.00 CE Q covers variable-speed 125 mm work. With no batteries, take the £69.50 kit, not the £81.28 listing. Choose 230 V on an RCD-protected socket when the cut must not stop to recharge. The corded 115 mm tools near £33 cost less than any bare 18 V body. Slabs need the TE-AG 230/2000 or TE-AG 230. Depth is in our Einhell 115, 125 or 230 mm angle grinder comparison.

Common questions

Should I buy a corded Einhell angle grinder if I have no batteries?
Yes, if you work within reach of a 230 V socket and want to keep costs down. The corded 115 mm Einhell TC-AG 115/750 (B07LBY1V4Z, £32.50) and TC-AG 115 (B00TFZFWAY, £32.95) cost less than half the £69.50 cordless 4.0 Ah kit (B0DHCHGGPF) and never stop to recharge. You still buy a 115 mm disc separately, and you stay within the cable.
Which cordless Einhell angle grinder listing actually includes a battery?
Only the Einhell TC-AG 18/115 kit (B0DHCHGGPF, model 4431133) at £69.50 names a 4.0 Ah battery and a charger on its amazon.co.uk included-components row. A second listing at £81.28 (B08WBLL9WT) mentions a battery and charger in the title, but it has no components row and includes a bullet calling the tool a solo body.
Are all 18 V Einhell angle grinders brushless?
No. In this eleven-product set, only the three Professional bare bodies are brushless: the AXXIO 18/115 (B0CNTRXZSY, £84.95), the variable-speed TP-AG 18/125 CE Q (B0C6MMXVL7, £104.00) and the flat-head TP-AG 18/125 F (B0DPG9L5XF, £104.99). The £69.50 kit (B0DHCHGGPF) and both entry-level 115 mm solo bodies (B00SWDG056 and B079H2ZRVD) use brush motors.
Will one 4.0 Ah Power X-Change battery last for a paving job?
A single 4.0 Ah pack suits short metal cuts or trimming one or two slabs, not a full patio. Einhell UK rates the 4.0 Ah kit (4431133) at 40 cuts in 12 mm round steel, and continuous heavy grinding can drain an 18 V pack in a few minutes. A 230 V corded grinder is the practical choice for paving in this set.
Can two 18 V packs run a 230 mm Einhell grinder in this comparison?
Not within this eleven-tool amazon.co.uk set. Einhell UK manufactures a 36 V twin-pack 230 mm grinder, the AXXIO 36/230 Q, that uses two 18 V Power X-Change batteries in series, but that model is absent here. The only 230 mm grinders in this comparison are the corded 230 V TE-AG 230/2000 (B00IGQZFTQ) and TE-AG 230 (B00BLZXTP6).
