Bosch angle grinder with battery or bare

Updated: 22 October 2026

You are looking at £62.00 and £155.15 on the same search, and the cheaper card looks finished. A cardboard box is not a battery. On this amazon.co.uk shelf, saved on 21 October 2026, a Bosch angle grinder with battery or bare means one kit and eight bodies. The rows are on the [Bosch cordless angle grinder comparison](/hub/tools/bosch-cordless-angle-grinder). Family comes first, on [Bosch green or blue angle grinder](/hub/tools/bosch-cordless-angle-grinder/sub/bosch-cordless-angle-grinder-green-or-blue), because a blue body at £89.44 is still bare. The wider order is the [Bosch cordless angle grinder buying guide](/hub/tools/bosch-cordless-angle-grinder/sub/bosch-cordless-angle-grinder-buying-guide). Peter F., DIY & tools editor, compared included-components lines. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Eight bodies, one kit

Order 06033E6000 at £62.00 is a cardboard box. Order 06033E6001 at £69.98 prints 125 mm and still has no pack. Order 06033E5000 at £78.49 prints 115 mm, 750 W, and 12,000 rpm, in a carton. Order 06033E5100 at £75.42 adds a quick clamping nut M14 and an anti-vibration handle. None of the four names a battery. On order 06019N4000 the extra money adds the six-speed bullet, not a pack. The GWX18V-11PS at £199.98 lists an L-BOXX 136. The 4.4 kg item weight includes that case, not the bare tool.

What £155.15 includes

The header URL for order 06033E5070 is B0C4F3J9C7. The specification table in the same file prints B0C5JWW6RQ. Those strings are one kit. Follow the header. A bullet names POWER FOR ALL. Watts and rpm are not printed on this kit row. Do not copy the bare UniversalGrind's 750 W and 12,000 rpm onto it. The green English manual recommends a PBA 18V pack of at least 4.0 Ah. The included pack matches that figure. A UK review says the kit is not for heavy work.

When the bare price is the rational one

Bosch DIY's 18 V page tells you to buy the solo body when you already own the pack. The £76.66 gap between the bare UniversalGrind at £78.49 and the kit at £155.15 is a second 4.0 Ah pack and another AL18V-20, not a power upgrade measured here. There is no separate pack price on this shelf. A UK review of order 06019N4000 puts a separate battery at about £50–£80, in that reviewer's words. Do not add that range to £148.99 and call the total a kit. If your packs are blue, the kit does not help.

What you still buy

Budget for a wheel that matches the lock you received: a spanner nut on the GWS 18V-8, a quick clamping nut M14 on the AdvancedGrind, a quick-locking nut on both 1,100 W bodies, and an unstated system on the GWX English bullets. Fitting that wheel, with the pack off, is on how to use a Bosch cordless angle grinder. A UK review says a 2 Ah pack lasted about 3–4 minutes on the bare UniversalGrind. That is a warning about a small pack, not a measured life for the kit's 4.0 Ah battery. Do not assume the £62.00 box contains the quick nut the AdvancedGrind lists.

Common questions

Which listing includes a battery and a charger?
Only the UniversalGrind kit at £155.15, order 06033E5070. The line names one 4.0 Ah battery and charger AL18V-20, plus the tool and a carton. The header ASIN is B0C4F3J9C7. The other eight listings are bodies. The GWX at £199.98 includes an L-BOXX and does not name a battery. A higher price is not a kit.
Is the £62 PWS ready to cut?
No. Order 06033E6000 lists a cardboard box. There is no battery, and the amazon title prints no disc diameter. You need a POWER FOR ALL pack, a charger if you do not have one, and a disc the guard will accept. Bosch DIY UK prints 115 mm for this order. That maker line is not a battery, and it is not on the amazon title.
Does the kit include a disc?
No. Order 06033E5070 names the tool, one 4.0 Ah pack, the AL18V-20, and a carton. It does not name a grinding disc or a case. The bare UniversalGrind omits discs too. A UK review says so. Buy the wheel separately, and match 115 mm because the kit title prints 115 mm, not because a lifestyle photo showed a disc.
What charger is named?
The kit names the AL18V-20. No other listing in this set names a charger. The listing does not state a BS 1363 plug. Electrical Safety First expects a UK 3-pin plug on the item you put in the wall. Check the pins. If you have no charger yet, this kit is the only row here that claims to include one.
Why is the kit dearer if both titles say 115 mm?
The kit adds one 4.0 Ah pack and an AL18V-20. The bare tool, order 06033E5000, is £78.49. The kit, order 06033E5070, is £155.15. The bare listing also prints 750 W and 12,000 rpm, which the kit row does not. You are not looking at a proven power upgrade. If you already own that pack, the bare price matches the way Bosch describes solo bodies.
Are the blue bodies kits because they cost more?
No. The GWS at £89.44, order 06019N4100 at £135.95, and order 06019N4000 at £148.99 all say without battery or charger. The GWX at £199.98 adds an L-BOXX and still names no battery. Blue is a different battery family, not a fuller box. The £155.15 kit will not run those packs. Settle the family on the green-or-blue page before this price comparison means anything.
What if a review says the kit had no battery?
Treat it as one delivery. A review not marked United Kingdom says a unit arrived without the pack and the charger. The title still names both. Match your carton to the list: tool, 4.0 Ah pack, AL18V-20, carton. A missing pack is a returns issue. It is not a reason to call this ASIN a bare body, and it is not a reason to order the specification-table ASIN as a second product.
