Genuine Makita or compatible angle grinder

Updated: October 2026

You already own Makita 18 V packs, or a blue 125 mm body is in the basket and the title looks settled. It is not. A line that says for Makita 18V is a list of pack codes. It is not a Makita DGA504. This page is the genuine Makita or compatible angle grinder choice on the saved shelf: two corded Makita listings, six other brands, and a cordless Makita that is missing. The [Makita angle grinder 125 comparison](/hub/tools/makita-angle-grinder-125) is the table of eight, at amazon.co.uk prices from 19 October 2026. What the brand field says

The brand field says Makita on two rows, and both are corded. The GA5030RK is £81.89, 230 V, 720 W, 11,000 rpm and 1.8 kg. The GA5034/1 is £97.53, 110 V, the same 720 W and 11,000 rpm, and 2.9 kg. Neither takes an 18 V pack. The other six fields are Synxiter, JOJOCY, laloohome, Fledukten, Roadtime and Gautesy. Titles still say Makita 18 V, 18V/20V, or Ma-Kita. Belgium reviews on the JOJOCY file say the product is not a Makita, which matches the brand field. If you wanted the name Makita on the tool, you are looking at the two corded rows, or at a cordless model that is not in this set. Voltage and the box are separate checks on the buying guide.

What a BL18 list means

A bullet that names BL1830, BL1840, BL1850 or BL1860 is the seller's claim that those packs click in. It is not a warranty, and it is not every pack you own. Synxiter names BL1820 through BL1860 and asks for at least 4.0 Ah. One UK review says a 3 Ah pack did not match a corded grinder. laloohome starts at BL1830 and does not name BL1820. Roadtime names BL1830B, BL1840, BL1840B, BL1850 and BL1850B, and excludes G-series and Ni-Cd. Five boxes leave the battery out: Synxiter £57.99, JOJOCY £50.99, laloohome £29.99, Roadtime £49.99 and Gautesy £34.99. JOJOCY has no voltage row. Gautesy prints 18 V and also 90,000 rpm against bullets that say 9,000. A 1,200 W line on Synxiter is not the same measurement as 720 W on the mains rows. Choosing a plug rather than a pack is the 110 V or 230 V page.

The kit that brings its own packs

Fledukten, B0HCZBDYW8, at £69.99, puts batteries in the carton: two packs printed as 21 V 4.0 Ah and a 21 V 1.2 A charger, plus a case, a guard and discs. The attribute row says 18 V and 550 W. The bullet says the tool can take Makita 18 V packs, and that Fledukten's own batteries must not go on other brands. That is two systems in one box. A Germany review says the supplied charger does not cross over with Makita chargers. That is not a UK opinion, and it matches the listing. The same reviews describe small metal cuts, then play in the gear head and discs that arrived damaged. Keep those packs on the Fledukten tool. Who should skip the kit for a house socket is on the best Makita 125 mm angle grinder page.

The cordless Makita that is not here

Makita UK's DGA504Z sheet lists 18 V LXT, a 125 mm disc, 8,500 rpm, an M14 spindle, a 22.23 mm bore, a maximum depth of 29 mm, anti-restart, and tool only. The EAN is 0088381683920. It is not one of these eight ASINs. Power Tool World shows the body at £119.99 including VAT. If you want a Makita 18 V grinder, buy the body the dealer page describes. If you want a body in this amazon set, you are buying the brand field, and your pack code has to be printed on that listing.

Common questions

Which of these eight is genuine Makita?
Two. The GA5030RK at £81.89 and the GA5034/1 at £97.53. The brand field says Makita, and both are corded, 720 W, 125 mm tools. Synxiter, JOJOCY, laloohome, Fledukten, Roadtime and Gautesy are other brands. A blue housing and a title that mentions Makita packs do not move those six into the Makita field.
Is the DGA504Z in this comparison?
No. Makita UK's DGA504Z sheet describes an 18 V LXT, 125 mm, tool-only grinder at 8,500 revolutions per minute, with an M14 spindle and a 22.23 mm bore. That model is not among the eight ASINs. Dealer prices such as £119.99 at Power Tool World are dealer prices. There is no amazon.co.uk price for it in this set.
What does a BL18 list actually promise?
It is the seller's list of pack codes they say will fit that body. Synxiter's list runs from BL1820 to BL1860 and asks for at least 4.0 Ah. laloohome's list starts at BL1830. Roadtime excludes G-series and Ni-Cd. The list does not make the tool a Makita, and it does not mean a pack code missing from the bullet is included.
Can I put Fledukten's packs on a Makita tool?
The Fledukten listing says its own batteries must not be used on tools from other brands. The included packs are printed as 21 V 4.0 Ah. A Germany review says the supplied charger does not cross over with Makita chargers. Keep those packs on the Fledukten tool. The bullet's separate claim is that the tool can accept Makita 18 V packs, which is the other direction.
Do the bare bodies include a battery?
Five of them do not. Synxiter, JOJOCY, laloohome, Roadtime and Gautesy say the battery is not in the box. Fledukten is the exception, with two 21 V 4.0 Ah packs and a charger, and those packs stay on that brand. The two Makita rows are mains tools, so a battery is not part of either carton.
Why do titles say Ma-kita or for Makita?
The title is advertising a pack fit. Gautesy's title spells Ma-Kita, and the brand field still says Gautesy. JOJOCY's title says the body is for a Makita 18V/20V battery, and Belgium reviews say it is not a Makita. Read the brand field and the pack codes. The title is not the manufacturer line.
