How do you choose between a parasol and an awning?

A parasol stands on a pole, so you can move it around a table, a balcony or the sand if the base or spike matches the pole. An awning is fixed to a wall, a door, a window or the side of a vehicle, and it shades that opening. A cassette rolls the cloth into a box. A door canopy is a rigid sheet. Choose the comparison that matches the fixing, rather than the word shade on its own.

What is the difference between a centre-pole parasol and a cantilever?

A centre-pole parasol puts the pole in the middle of the canopy, so the pole sits in or beside the table. A cantilever, also called an offset parasol, holds the canopy from a side arm. That leaves the space underneath clearer and asks more of the base. A half parasol is cut to sit against a wall. The comparison says which of those shapes the listing actually is.

Does a parasol listing include a base?

Not always. Some comparisons are the canopy only. The base, the cover, the ground spike and the beach holder each have their own card. A parasol with stand is a set that includes a base. A no-drill claim still needs a solid frame, and a lease can forbid a pressure pole. A wind or rain line is the seller's wording unless the page prints a class. How does a gazebo differ from a party tent or a beach shelter?
