A gazebo is a freestanding roof on legs, usually a steel pop-up and sometimes a flat-pack tube frame, bought for shade and for showers rather than as a garden building. Householders use one over a table. Stallholders use one for a day on grass. You judge a gazebo by the joints, by whether the stated floor size is the size you can stand under, and by whether the walls and the weight bags are actually in the box. The water field matters more than a bullet: waterproof, water resistant and water repellent are not the same claim. Empty sandbags are not ballast until they are filled, and short pegs do nothing on a patio. A line that tells you to take the roof down in wind belongs in the specification, and you should not assume a design wind speed is printed. A hardtop that stays up all summer is a different product, and it is a planning question. The order of those checks is set out in the [gazebo buying guide](/hub/sun-shades/gazebo/sub/gazebo-buying-guide).

The best gazebos in detail

All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m black pop-up

Rank 1

All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m black pop-up

∼£208

Our view

The black All Seasons covers a stated 13.5 m² at 3 x 4.5 m and about £207.99, and amazon.co.uk shows 4.2 from 683 reviews, the highest star line in this set once the review count breaks the tie with the Outsunny 3 x 3 m. The seller states a fully waterproof 260 g/m² PVC-coated polyester roof, three height levels, four leg weight bags, a wheeled bag, rope and tent pegs. Side walls are not in the accessory line. UK reviews describe heavy rain running off rather than pooling, a two-person pitch once the canopy is on, and patio shade. The same reviews include outside struts that snapped on the first pitch, a spring clip broken on arrival, and a gust that lifted a unit which was weighted and screwed down. One reviewer takes it down above 20 mph. The warranty is 18 months on frame parts and 6 months on the canopy, and the seller says leaving it up through negligence can void that cover.

Pros

  • 4.2 from 683 reviews, the tie-break on this shelf
  • 260 g/m² waterproof roof claim and three heights
  • Four weight bags, rope, pegs and a wheeled bag

Cons

  • Side walls are not in the box
  • Struts snapped on a first pitch in the reviews
  • A weighted, screwed-down unit was lifted in a gust

Best for: A 13.5 m² patio roof when you want the highest star line here and you will take it down in stronger wind.

Less suitable: A party that needs walls in the carton, or a shelter you intend to leave up all season.

Common questions

How many height settings?

The bullets say the height can be adjusted to three levels.

Are side walls included?

The accessory line lists four leg weight bags, a wheeled bag, rope and tent pegs. It does not list side walls.

What warranty is on the listing?

18 months on frame parts and 6 months on the canopy. The seller says negligence, including leaving it up, voids that warranty.

Outsunny 3 x 3 m dark grey pop-up, 2 walls

Rank 2

Outsunny 3 x 3 m dark grey pop-up, 2 walls

∼£80

Our view

The dark grey Outsunny is a 3 x 3 m pop-up at about £79.99 with two removable walls, and amazon.co.uk shows 4.2 from 123 reviews, the same star line as the All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m on a smaller sample. The water field says water resistant, and a highlight line includes UPF 30+. Three heights are printed: 268 cm, 278 cm and 288 cm. The pack lists four guy ropes, four sandbags, twelve ground stakes and a wheeled bag, and the seller says not to leave it up in heavy weather. Folded size is 18 x 115 x 18 cm and the stated weight is 13 kg. UK reviews describe a two-person first pitch and then one person, plus one slightly windy Christmas market with the bags left unfilled in that account. Side-panel fixing is called awkward, and one set of panels was too big to meet the attachment points. One case arrived with no wheels, and the seller offered money off.

Pros

  • 4.2 from 123 reviews on a stated 9 m²
  • Two walls, four sandbags, twelve stakes and guy ropes
  • Three stated heights and a UPF 30+ highlight

Cons

  • Water resistant, not a waterproof field
  • Only two walls
  • Side panels that would not attach in one review

Best for: A 3 x 3 m party roof with two walls when you will stake it on grass and take it down if the weather turns.

Less suitable: A four-wall enclosure, or a patio with nowhere to drive the twelve stakes unless the bags are filled.

RELAX FIELD 3 x 3 m dark grey pop-up

Rank 3

RELAX FIELD 3 x 3 m dark grey pop-up

∼£100

Our view

The dark grey RELAX FIELD covers a stated 9 m² at 3 x 3 x 2.7 m and about £99.99, with 4.1 from 45 amazon.co.uk reviews. The seller lists a 300D Oxford canopy, waterproof tape on the seams, drain holes, ground spikes, ropes and four weight bags, and says the bags keep it stable in strong winds without giving a speed. Side walls are not in the bullets. UK reviews liked a quick two-person pitch, a wheeled bag, and a weekend of rain. The same reviews include a slight breeze that flipped a unit, ripped the corner stitching, and snapped bars after it went across the garden. One reviewer preferred the second height setting because the highest felt less stable. At 16 kg it is a lighter 3 x 3 m than the All Seasons roofs here, and 45 reviews is a small sample.

Pros

  • Waterproof field, seam tape and roof-edge drain holes
  • Four weight bags, ground spikes and ropes
  • Reviews describe a weekend of rain and a two-person pitch

Cons

  • No side walls in the bullets
  • A slight breeze flipped one unit and ripped stitching
  • 45 reviews is a small sample

Best for: Supervised garden shade on a 3 x 3 m patch when you will use a lower height and take it down if the breeze picks up.

Less suitable: A walled party, or a site you leave standing in wind.

Common questions

Are side walls included?

The bullets list the roof, four weight bags, spikes, ropes and a bag. They do not list side walls.

Can the height be changed?

The seller says thumb buttons adjust the height. The details block gives 2.7 m as the item height and does not count the positions.

What does the seller say about wind?

It says four weight bags keep the gazebo stable in strong winds. It does not state a wind speed.

Outsunny 2 x 2 m blue pop-up with walls

Rank 4

Outsunny 2 x 2 m blue pop-up with walls

∼£46

Our view

The blue Outsunny is 2 x 2 m and 2.4 m high, with 4 m² of floor and a door height of 196 cm, at about £45.98. Amazon.co.uk shows 4.0 from 4,426 reviews, the largest count in this set, and the price is the lowest among rows at 4.0 stars or above. The listing says the Oxford cover is water resistant and blocks light rain, and it asks for two or three people. Four removable walls, ropes, stakes and a carry bag are listed. Weight bags are not. UK reviews call the fabric sturdier than a cheaper gazebo in one wind comparison, and they describe a pitch that is easier once the frame is stretched and the canvas goes on. The same reviews include a small gust that lifted a weighted market-stall unit, window panels that came away, and light rain that came through until the buyer adapted the cover. The seller says not to leave it standing in heavy weather.

Pros

  • Lowest price among the 4.0-star rows, at about £45.98
  • 4.0 from 4,426 reviews
  • Four removable walls, ropes, stakes and a carry bag

Cons

  • Only 4 m² of floor
  • Water resistant, and light rain came through in a review
  • No weight bags in the pack line

Best for: A small supervised afternoon for two to four people when 4 m² and four walls are enough.

Less suitable: A larger dining party, or a patio where you need filled bags because stakes will not hold.

How many people does the seller ask for?

The listing says 2–3 people are required to build it, and not to leave it standing in heavy weather.

VOUNOT 3 x 6 m grey pop-up with 6 walls

Rank 5

VOUNOT 3 x 6 m grey pop-up with 6 walls

∼£160

Our view

The grey VOUNOT 3 x 6 m lists 18 m², six removable walls and six sandbags at about £160.49, with 4.0 from 394 reviews on amazon.co.uk. The seller says the setup is tool-free, names waterproof fabric and UV50+, includes four ropes, twelve L-shaped pegs, four spiral pegs and a carry bag, and four of the walls have windows. Reviews include a garden party bought instead of a four-day hire. The same reviews call it flimsy: four people snapped several struts while opening it, and one buyer wanted six people so the legs were pulled evenly. A long rip appeared in one roof with no wind or rain, in that buyer's words. At 28.6 kg it is a four-to-six-person job in the reviews, even though one reviewer called a two-person pitch relatively easy. The star line is not a wind test.

Pros

  • 18 m² with six walls and six sandbags in the box
  • UV50+ stated in the seller text
  • Pegs and ropes as well as weight bags

Cons

  • Struts snapped during erection in the reviews
  • Several reviews wanted four to six people
  • One roof ripped before bad weather, in the buyer's words

Best for: A large party roof when you have several people to open it evenly and you want six walls included.

Less suitable: A two-person pitch, or a frame you will force open from one corner.

Is it a one-person pitch?

The seller says tool-free. UK reviews say four people, and one says six, so the frame is not pulled out of line.

Snenblume 3 x 3 m green pop-up with sides

Rank 6

Snenblume 3 x 3 m green pop-up with sides

∼£80

Our view

The green Snenblume is titled as a 3 x 3 m pop-up with four removable side walls at about £79.99, and amazon.co.uk shows 4.0 from 268 reviews. The floor-area line says 8.7 m² while the details dimensions say 30 x 30 x 28 cm, so the title is the footprint and the centimetre row is a conflict. The water field says water resistant. A bullet says waterproof materials and light to moderate rain. The seller says setup without tools, and light to moderate weather, with no wind speed. UK reviews include a unit left up for a couple of months when it was weighted and taken down in high wind, and use at craft fairs with the sides on or off. The same reviews call it far from waterproof, with rain pooling near a vent that broke bars after a week, missing parts on arrival, and plastic hooks that snapped in a slight wind. A counted peg and rope list is not in the bullets.

Pros

  • Four removable walls at about £79.99
  • 4.0 from 268 reviews
  • Some buyers used it at craft fairs with sides on or off

Cons

  • Water resistant field against a waterproof bullet
  • Floor area 8.7 m² and a 30 x 30 x 28 cm details line
  • Rain pooling broke bars in the reviews

Best for: A four-wall 3 x 3 m for a fair-weather party if you accept water resistant and you will check the box for missing bars.

Less suitable: Anyone who needs the details dimensions to match the title, or a roof you will leave out in rain.

All Seasons 3 x 6 m beige pop-up

Rank 7

All Seasons 3 x 6 m beige pop-up

∼£280

Our view

The beige All Seasons covers a stated 18 m² at 3 x 6 m and about £279.99, and amazon.co.uk shows 4.0 from 111 reviews. The seller says the roof is fully waterproof, that there are no poles to slot in, and that you should always use the four leg weight bags on grass, concrete, patios and sand. UK reviews describe rain cover at a garden party and a wet wedding, and a two-person pitch with the cover fitted before full height. Side walls are not in the package bullets, and reviewers call them expensive to add. Frame bars snapped on early uses, including a first pitch, and one unit blew apart in the first heavy wind. The listing gives a one-year frame warranty and no wind speed. The 157 x 32 x 19 cm line sits beside 29 kg, so those centimetres read as the packed size, not the standing footprint.

Pros

  • Stated 18 m² roof with no poles to slot in
  • Four weight bags, rope, tent pegs and a wheeled bag
  • UK reviews describe rain cover at a party and a wedding

Cons

  • Side walls are not in the pack
  • Frame bars snapped on early uses
  • One unit blew apart in the first heavy wind

Best for: A long 3 x 6 m roof when you will buy walls separately and take it down in heavy wind.

Less suitable: A first party that needs walls in the box, or a pitch you will leave unattended in a gust.

ONEANU 3 x 3 m grey pop-up with sides

Rank 8

ONEANU 3 x 3 m grey pop-up with sides

∼£110

Our view

The grey ONEANU is a 3 x 3 m pop-up at about £110.49 with four removable walls, two of them mesh windows, and amazon.co.uk shows 4.0 from 38 reviews. The water-resistance field says waterproof while the coverage line says a water-resistant canopy, so those two cells do not agree. The model code includes 25 mm, and the pack lists four sandbags and a wheeled bag. Some reviews call the frame sturdy and praise mesh with a roll-up cover, and one buyer still preferred it after a year. Other texts say the cloth is thin, that roof bars bent after one rain, and that brackets came apart in UK wind. Several reviews on the page describe an egg-chair cover rather than this gazebo, so the star line is the listing figure only. Height is listed at 3 m, and no wind speed is stated.

Pros

  • Four walls in the box, two with mesh windows
  • Four sandbags and a wheeled bag
  • Some gazebo reviews call the pitch straightforward

Cons

  • Waterproof field and water-resistant coverage line disagree
  • The review block is mixed with egg-chair covers
  • Roof bars bent after rain in the reviews

Best for: A 9 m² grey shelter with sides if you will set aside the egg-chair texts and treat the water words as a conflict.

Less suitable: Anyone who needs a clean review sample, or a single water claim you can quote.

Is the water claim one word?

The water-resistance field says waterproof. The coverage line says a water-resistant canopy.

Are the 38 reviews all about this gazebo?

No. The review block also describes an egg-chair cover. The 4.0 from 38 figure is the listing star line.

VOUNOT 3 x 3 m grey pop-up with 4 sides

Rank 9

VOUNOT 3 x 3 m grey pop-up with 4 sides

∼£71

Our view

The grey VOUNOT with four sides is listed at 3 x 3 x 2.5 m and 22.5 kg for about £71.49, and amazon.co.uk shows 3.6 from 2,206 reviews. The dimensions line says 3.2 x 3 x 2.5 m against a 3 x 3 m title. The roof is stated as 260 g/m² PA-coated polyester and the water field says waterproof, while the seller says it is not for unsupervised use or inclement weather and that you must not let rain collect on the roof. The box lists four zip-up sides, four sandbags, pegs, rope and a carry bag. Reviews call the steel frame the heavy part, say medium rain stayed out when the roof was intact, and describe the lowest height on windy days. The same reviews include roofs that arrived with holes, sides too short to reach the ground at full height, water that was absorbed rather than beading, and a bracket that collapsed when rain sat on the roof. Height pins broke inside the poles, and one unit was destroyed in the first storm even when it was fixed to the ground.

Pros

  • Four sides, four sandbags, pegs, rope and a carry bag
  • 260 g/m² roof stated on the listing
  • Some buyers kept medium rain out when the cloth was intact

Cons

  • 3.6 from 2,206 reviews
  • Seller says it is not for inclement or unsupervised use
  • Sides too short at full height in the reviews

Best for: A supervised fair-weather 3 x 3 m with walls in the box if you will drop the height and clear pooled rain.

Less suitable: A heavy-duty all-weather roof, or a full-height enclosure that has to reach the ground.

VOUNOT 3.6 x 3.6 m grey pop-up, mesh sides

Rank 10

VOUNOT 3.6 x 3.6 m grey pop-up, mesh sides

∼£87

Our view

The grey VOUNOT is 3.6 x 3.6 m, a stated 12.96 m², at about £87.39 and 18.7 kg, with mesh sides, windows and a double-layer roof, and amazon.co.uk shows 3.6 from 665 reviews. The water field says water resistant. The seller says a silver layer blocks 99.99 percent of harmful UV, that an accurate UPF is not given, and that the occupancy cell is 4 people. The pack lists four wind ropes, four sandbags, eight stakes and a roller bag. One review says the frame survived being blown across a garden after a guy rope snapped, and another buyer left a unit up through wind and rain while expecting to replace the canopy later. Metal parts broke while other units were being erected, one was already broken in the box, and small holes showed in the inner roof at the Velcro points. The vent is a seller claim that wind can pass, not a speed rating.

Pros

  • Larger than a 3 x 3 m, with mesh sides and windows
  • Double roof, four sandbags, ropes, stakes and a roller bag
  • One frame survived a blow-over in the reviews

Cons

  • 3.6 from 665 reviews
  • Water resistant, with holes at the inner-roof Velcro
  • Parts broken on arrival or during the first pitch

Best for: A larger mesh-sided shade if you will check the frame before the first pitch and you accept water resistant.

Less suitable: A waterproof dining room, or a guest count based on the 4-person occupancy cell.

Common questions

What is the double roof for, on the listing?

Are the sides solid?

The listing says mesh sides with windows and mosquito netting, so the enclosure is netted rather than four solid panels.

What UV number can you quote?

The details text claims a silver layer blocks 99.99 percent of harmful UV and says an accurate UPF is not given. The water field is water resistant.

VOUNOT 3 x 3 m grey pop-up, 160 g/m²

The grey VOUNOT with sides is 3 x 3 x 2.6 m and 14 kg at about £64.49, and amazon.co.uk shows 3.2 from 1,519 reviews, the joint lowest star line in this set. The roof is 160 g/m² PA-coated polyester and the water field says water repellent. The seller says it is not for unattended use or inclement weather. The box lists four detachable panels, two with windows, four sandbags, eight pegs, four ropes and a carry bag. One buyer fitted a table, four chairs and a television underneath. The reviews also say it is not waterproof in heavy rain and wind, that the sides would not stay fully out so the gazebo collapsed inward, and that sandbags tore at the seams. Repeat buyers say a later unit lacks the centre lock of an older VOUNOT.

Pros

  • Four walls, sandbags, pegs and ropes at about £64.49
  • One review fitted a table and four chairs under the roof
  • The seller says setup needs no tools

Cons

  • 3.2 from 1,519 reviews
  • Water repellent at 160 g/m²
  • Sides collapsed inward in the reviews

Best for: A supervised fair-weather afternoon if you already accept water repellent and you will take it down when the weather turns.

Less suitable: Anyone reading a waterproof title and expecting this 160 g/m² cloth to match it.

BIRCHTREE 3 x 3 m grey pole gazebo

Rank 12

BIRCHTREE 3 x 3 m grey pole gazebo

∼£42

Our view

The grey BIRCHTREE is a flat-packed steel-tube gazebo, not a scissor pop-up, at 3 x 3 x 2.5 m, 8 kg and about £41.68. Amazon.co.uk shows 3.2 from 205 reviews. The cover is 120 g/m² polyethylene and the water field says water resistant. The seller also says it can withstand all kinds of weather, which the reviews do not support. Four Velcro sides are listed, two with church-style windows and two with double-zip doors. The details block says five guy lines, and a counted peg list is not confirmed. Two people built one in about half an hour ahead of a rain forecast. The same reviews say the poles would not stay together until a buyer drilled and screwed them, that it collapsed within hours with weights on and without strong wind, and that the sides filled with water. Ultraviolet protection is marked low.

Pros

  • Lowest shelf price in the set, at about £41.68
  • Four walls on a 3 x 3 m title size
  • Two people built one in about half an hour

Cons

  • 3.2 from 205 reviews
  • 120 g/m² polyethylene and a water-resistant field
  • Connectors failed until a buyer added screws

Best for: A one-off watched barbecue if you will screw loose joints and take the frame down the same day.

Less suitable: A pop-up you want packed in minutes, or any shelter you will leave in ordinary garden wind.

How we compared

The score on each card is the amazon.co.uk star line multiplied by 20, using the listing figures stored on 19 October 2026. A 4.2 star line becomes 84. A 3.2 becomes 64. This is not a lab test, not a wind test, and not a Which? score. The top pick is the highest score. Where two products share it, the one with more reviews takes the badge. That is the All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m at 4.2 from 683, ahead of the Outsunny 3 x 3 m at 4.2 from 123. Best value is the lowest GBP price among products with a score of 80 or above. That is the Outsunny 2 x 2 m at about £45.98 with 4.0 from 4,426. The weights below are the order the listings were read. They are not a second score.

1

Size and who can pitch it

25%

About 4 m², 9 m², 13.5 m², 18 m² or 12.96 m². Larger frames need more people. The stated floor line is the size you stand under, not a packed carton measurement.

2

Walls in the box

20%

The stored listings run from no walls to two, four or six. A wall sold separately, or a wall only in a photo, is not in the pack.

3

Water field against the bullet

20%

Waterproof, water resistant and water repellent are different Amazon fields. A bullet that disagrees does not upgrade the field. Grams per square metre are a specification, not a certificate.

4

Anchors and the take-down line

20%

Empty bags are not ballast. Pegs do nothing on a patio. No listing here states a design wind speed. A seller line that says to take the roof down in wind is part of the read.

5

Price beside the review pattern

15%

Price is read next to cloth weight and the review notes, including bent bars, pooled rain and mixed review text. Best value is the lowest price at a score of 80 or above, and it is a different listing from the top pick.

Gazebo buying guide

You are choosing a freestanding roof for a garden afternoon or a stall, not a building. The 12 amazon.co.uk listings captured on 19 October 2026 run from about £41.68 to about £279.99. Size, walls in the box, the water field, and the anchors decide the buy. The star line sorts the shelf. It is not a wind test. The top pick is the All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m, because 4.2 from 683 reviews breaks a tie at 84.

What is a gazebo?

A gazebo in this comparison is a freestanding roof on legs. The usual amazon.co.uk listing is a steel pop-up, a scissor frame you pull up, and some are flat-pack tubes and a cover. Buyers are householders, stallholders, and anyone who wants a roof for a day rather than a building. A hardtop that stays up all summer is a different product. A parasol is a different category. Which? says you should fit the cover before a pop-up frame is fully locked, and that two people should do it.

Best for

  • Garden hosts who want about 9 m² and will drop the roof if the wind rises
  • Stallholders who need walls and filled ballast for a supervised day

Not ideal for

  • A hardtop you intend to leave up all summer
  • A patio pitch when the pack has pegs and no weight bags

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Trusting waterproof in a bullet

Amazon prints Waterproof, Water Resistant, and Water Repellent as separate fields. A bullet often disagrees. Quote the field. The ONEANU row prints both, so the claim stays mixed.

  2. 2

Counting walls and empty bags you do not have

    A wall sold separately is not in the pack. An empty sandbag is not 20 kg. Cheshire West’s 20 kg per leg on a four-leg 3 x 3 m, and 25 kg on a six-leg 6 x 3 m, is fill weight.

  3. 3

Pegs on a patio, or a wind speed you were not given

Pegs do nothing on a patio. No listing here states a design wind speed, and heavy duty on a title is not one. Which? says some pop-ups flip in a light wind. That is not a score for a named row on this page.

What to weigh up

Size, walls and the water field

High

Start with the floor you can stand under. About 4 m² is 2 x 2 m. About 9 m² is the usual 3 x 3 m party size. About 13.5 m² is 3 x 4.5 m. About 18 m² is 3 x 6 m. A 3.6 x 3.6 m frame is about 12.96 m². Larger frames need more people, and reviews on the 18 m² VOUNOT asked for four to six so the legs were pulled evenly. Then count walls in the accessory line: none, two, four or six. Then read the water field, not the headline. Waterproof, water resistant and water repellent are different.

Anchors, the take-down line and price

High

Empty sandbags, short pegs and guy ropes are the usual pack. Pegs do not hold on a patio. Fill weight is what matters: Cheshire West uses 20 kg per leg on a four-leg 3 x 3 m and 25 kg on a six-leg 6 x 3 m. No listing here states a design wind speed. A seller line that says not to leave the roof up in wind or heavy weather is part of the specification, and on the All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m that line is tied to the warranty. Which?

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Garden hosts

You want about 9 m² and you will drop the roof if the wind rises. The Outsunny 3 x 3 m is 4.2 from 123 reviews at about £79.99, with two walls, four sandbags and twelve stakes. The water field is water resistant. The seller says not to leave it up in heavy weather.

Stallholders

You need removable walls and real ballast, not an empty bag. The VOUNOT 3 x 6 m includes six walls and six sandbags at about £160.49, with 4.0 from 394 reviews. Reviews wanted four to six people to open it evenly, and struts snapped during erection. The listing does not contain a fire certificate.

Pop-up or a roof that stays

You are choosing a folding shelter or a hardtop. A hardtop is not in this table, and a roof that stays up is a planning question. The All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m is the top pick among these pop-ups, at about £207.99. The seller ties the warranty to not leaving it up through negligence.

Common questions about gazebos

What is the top gazebo in this 2026 comparison?
The top pick is the All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m black pop-up at about £207.99. It scores 84. The Outsunny 3 x 3 m shares that score, and 4.2 from 683 reviews breaks the tie. The seller states a 260 g/m² waterproof roof, three height levels, four weight bags, rope, pegs and a wheeled bag. Side walls are not in the box. UK reviews include struts that snapped on a first pitch, and a weighted unit that was lifted in a gust. The warranty text links cover to not leaving it up through negligence. The score is the amazon.co.uk star line, not a wind test.
Which gazebo is best value?
Best value is the Outsunny 2 x 2 m at about £45.98. It is the lowest price among listings that score 80 or above, with 4.0 from 4,426 reviews. You get 4 m², four removable walls, ropes, stakes and a carry bag. The water field is water resistant. Weight bags are not in the pack line. The seller says not to leave it standing in heavy weather, and a review describes a small gust that lifted a weighted stall unit.
How much does a gazebo cost?
On the 19 October 2026 amazon.co.uk capture, these 12 listings run from about £41.68 to about £279.99. About £42–£80 is the entry band. About £80–£120 is the middle. About £160–£280 is the upper band, including the 3 x 6 m roofs and the 3 x 4.5 m top pick. A lower price is not a heavier cloth. The cheapest row is 120 g/m² polyethylene. The 260 g/m² roofs are not all in the top price band.
Are these gazebos waterproof?
Use the water field. Waterproof, water resistant and water repellent are different words, and a bullet that says waterproof does not override a weaker field. The ONEANU listing has a waterproof field and a water-resistant coverage line, so those words conflict. Several sellers who print waterproof also say the roof is not for inclement or unsupervised weather, and that rain must not pool. Grams per square metre are a specification, not a certificate.
Are the side walls in the box?
Not on every listing. This set runs from no walls to two, four or six. The All Seasons roofs do not list walls in the accessory line. The Outsunny 3 x 3 m lists two. The Outsunny 2 x 2 m, the Snenblume and several VOUNOT rows list four. The VOUNOT 3 x 6 m lists six. A wall in a photo, or a wall sold separately, is not in the pack.
Can I leave a pop-up gazebo up overnight?
Treat a pop-up as a roof you can drop. No listing here states a design wind speed. Which? says leave a pop-up overnight only if gusts should stay at or below 15 mph and it is held down, and that some flip in a light wind. That line is Which? guidance, not a test of these listings. Cheshire West uses 30–35 mph as a strip-or-dismantle point for events, and 20 kg of fill per leg on a four-leg 3 x 3 m. Empty bags are not that weight. Pegs do not hold on a patio.
Does a garden gazebo need planning permission?
A same-day pop-up is not a garden building. A gazebo that stays up as a building follows Planning Portal Class E: not in front of the principal elevation, single storey, eaves at most 2.5 m, overall height at most 4 m on a dual pitch or 3 m otherwise, and 2.5 m within 2 m of a boundary. Designated land and listed buildings are stricter. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue says a marquee up more than 28 days may need planning and building control. A frame you fold and move sits nearer the folding gazebo comparison.
Is a flat-pack the same as a pop-up?
No. A pop-up is a scissor frame. Which? says fit the cover before the frame is fully locked, with two people. A flat-pack is tubes and a cover. In this set that is the BIRCHTREE 3 x 3 m at about £41.68, stated 8 kg and 120 g/m² polyethylene, with 3.2 from 205 reviews. Reviews describe connectors that would not stay together until a buyer added screws. A hardtop that stays up is not in this table.

Our verdict

The top pick is the All Seasons 3 x 4.5 m black pop-up at about £207.99. It scores 84, tied with the Outsunny 3 x 3 m, and 4.2 from 683 reviews breaks that tie. The seller states a fully waterproof 260 g/m² roof, three height levels, four weight bags, rope, pegs and a wheeled bag. Side walls are not in the box. UK reviews include struts that snapped on a first pitch, and a weighted unit that was still lifted in a gust. Best value is the Outsunny 2 x 2 m at about £45.98, the lowest price among listings at 4.0 stars or above, with 4.0 from 4,426 reviews, four walls and a water-resistant field. It covers 4 m², and weight bags are not in the pack line.
