3x6 gazebo buying guide

Updated: 22.10.2026

You are comparing amazon.co.uk titles that all say 3×6, waterproof, and often “with sides”, and the carton may not match that reading. This 3x6 gazebo buying guide is the check to run before the star line matters: footprint, cloth wording, what is actually in the box, and height if the frame might stay up. The [Gazebo 3x6 comparison](/hub/sun-shades/gazebo-3x6) holds the full table. The Products Compared editorial team used the eight amazon.co.uk listings staged on 20 October 2026. We did not laboratory-test a frame. Live prices can move. A qualifying purchase through our links can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Check the footprint before the star rating

A true 3 × 6 m rectangle is about 18 square metres. The All Seasons pop-up and both VOUNOT colours print that 18 m² floor. Other rows in the same search are smaller while the title still says 3×6. The Outsunny party tent lists 17.2 m². The SANHENG pole tent lists 17.57 m². The blue SANHENG pop-up lists 17.47 m². Those gaps take a table, but they are not the same patch of lawn. Six listings are scissor pop-ups. Two are pole party tents. The full choice is pop-up gazebo versus pole frame.

Read the waterproof line against the cloth

Waterproof on a title is not one claim. The All Seasons bullets say fully waterproof and not just showerproof, and they do not state a fabric weight. Do not attach that cloth, or those walls, to this amazon.co.uk ASIN. The beige WOLTU says water resistant in the specification, and waterproof and light rain in a bullet. The black VOUNOT specification says waterproof while a coverage line says water-resistant. The Outsunny specification says water resistant, and the bullet limits the polyethylene roof to light rain and sun. No kept listing states taped seams or a hydrostatic head. If the title says waterproof and the bullet says light rain, use the bullet. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods must match the description.

Count the walls, bags and pegs in this box

The contents line is where these titles over-reach. The All Seasons carton lists the pop-up, a wheeled bag, four leg-weight bags, tent pegs and rope. Side walls are not on that list. Both VOUNOT colours list six removable walls, six sandbags, four ropes, 12 L-shaped pegs, four spiral pegs and a carry bag. The grey WOLTU lists four removable sides. The beige WOLTU title says with sides and does not count them. The Outsunny includes walls with windows and no weight bags. Empty bags are not weights. All Seasons does not say the four bags arrive filled. Pegs need soil. A peg-only kit on paving will not hold a 3×6 roof.

Check the height if it might stay up

Heights here run from about 2.5 m to 3.15 m. The SANHENG pole tent lists 2.5 m. The grey WOLTU lists three settings at 257, 261 and 265 cm. The black VOUNOT lists a maximum ceiling of 315 cm. In England, an outbuilding that relies on Class E must not sit forward of the principal elevation, must not cover more than half the garden, and must keep eaves to 2.5 m. Within 2 m of a boundary, the whole structure is limited to 2.5 m. Class B’s 28-day allowance for temporary use of land does not apply inside the curtilage of a house.

Common questions

Are the side walls in this box?
Sometimes. Both VOUNOT colours and both SANHENG models list six. The grey WOLTU lists four. The Outsunny includes walls with windows. The All Seasons box on amazon.co.uk does not list walls, even though other All Seasons packages elsewhere do. The beige WOLTU title says with sides and does not count them. Buy the contents line, not the brand name.
Do the weight bags arrive full?
The listings do not say they do. All Seasons includes four leg-weight bags and does not state a fill. VOUNOT includes six sandbags and states that sand is not included. A review in that shared pool says the bags were missing. WOLTU, Outsunny and the blue SANHENG pop-up do not list weight bags in the bullets. Pegs are for soil, not for a patio slab.
How tall is too tall within 2 metres of a fence in England?
If the structure stays up and relies on Class E, overall height within 2 m of a boundary is 2.5 m. Further away the cap is 4 m for a dual-pitched roof and 3 m otherwise, with eaves at 2.5 m. It must not sit forward of the principal elevation or cover more than half the garden. The black VOUNOT’s 315 cm ceiling is above that near-boundary cap. A gazebo you strike the same day is a different question.
Do two colourways count as two sets of reviews?
No. Beige and grey WOLTU share 3.9 from 1,582 reviews. Black and grey VOUNOT share 4.0 from 394. They are colour options on one sample each. The All Seasons 111, the blue SANHENG 84, the pole SANHENG 180 and the Outsunny 264 are the lines that stand on their own.
Do I need planning permission if I take it down the same day?
A same-day strike is not the Class E outbuilding case, and Class B’s 28 days do not apply inside a house garden. You still have the maker’s own limit: the Outsunny listing says not to leave it up overnight or in bad weather, and the beige WOLTU says to avoid bad weather. If you might leave a frame up, near a boundary or on designated land, check with the local planning authority.
