Cantilever parasol cover or centre-pole sleeve

Updated: 22.10.2026

The parasol in front of you is either a pole through the table or an arm off to the side, and the amazon.co.uk titles say offset, banana and not for cantilever almost in the same breath. A cantilever parasol cover and a centre-pole cover are not one sleeve. By the end of this page you should know which of the twelve saved listings to ignore, and when 205 cm is still too short for the arm you have. The rows are on the [parasol cover comparison](/hub/sun-shades/parasol-cover). Products Compared used those amazon.co.uk pages, saved on 19 October 2026. We did not hang a cover on both shapes.

Two shapes, one sock that cannot do both

A centre-pole parasol closes into a fairly even bundle. A sleeve of about 190 cm by 30 cm at the top and 50 cm at the bottom is the usual print in this set. The cover has to clear the finial and then stop before it pools on the tabletop. Wanocean’s reviews say a 190 cm sleeve is too long for that table job. A cantilever, often called a banana or hanging parasol, puts the mast to one side. Closed, that arm sticks out. The sleeve needs length and a wider middle, or the cloth will not pass the bend. One sock cannot do both, however similar the star line. If you have not measured the closed bundle yet, the order of checks is the parasol cover buying guide.

What the saved pages actually exclude

Four listings say they are not for cantilever umbrellas. OKPOW B07PHFSCFM is 190 × 30/50 cm, for 2 m to 3 m diameters, and the bullet then says it is not suitable for cantilevered umbrellas of any size. The word before that exclusion is offset. On this page, offset is not a banana fit. The khaki OKPOW, B08CRQVF3Z, is the short version: bullet 153 × 30/30 cm, for 1 m to 2 m, with the same exclusion. Its table prints 136 × 23 × 136 cm. RICHIE is 190 × 25/50 cm. The bullet allows a round parasol up to 3 m and a square up to 280 cm, and it excludes any cantilever. The title still says 2.5 m to 4 m. Wanocean is 190 × 30/55 cm for round parasols of 2.5 m to 4 m, and it says it will not fit any cantilever. A 190 cm sleeve will not clear a side arm.

The three cantilever claims in this set

BEEWAY is the claim with a middle you can measure. It is 205 cm long, 45 cm at the top, 75 cm in the middle and 32 cm at the bottom, sold for a 1 m to 3 m banana parasol, at about £8.54. If your closed arm is wider than 75 cm, the sleeve is the wrong profile even though the title says banana. Reviews describe a rod that is often too short for the finial, and a hem that can lift. The base stays uncovered. OKPOW B07PM5V9XB is sold as cantilever and banana for 2 m to 4 m, at about £8.98, in 600D weighing 200 g. No height or width in centimetres is printed. The components line is the umbrella cover, not a rod. Teynewer is the mixed claim: 170 × 25/35 cm, cantilever in the title, and a bullet that also names straight-pole and table umbrellas. Both jobs on one page do not make one sleeve. At 35 cm wide it is narrower than BEEWAY.

When 205 cm is not the arm you have

Garden Furniture Cover Shop, outside these twelve, starts straight-cantilever sleeves nearer 250 cm on its own range. That split is not printed on BEEWAY. This set’s longest printed sleeve is 205 cm. AWNIC does not take a side. The title is a 190 × 30 × 50 cm sleeve for round or square umbrellas up to 360 cm, and one UK review said it fitted a cantilever. One review is not a middle width. The two PATIO PLUS socks do not mention cantilever at all. They are short drawstring tubes, 160 cm and 153 cm, with no zip. They are the wrong guess for a side arm. If the sleeve will not pass the arm, fitting will not create room.

Common questions

What changes when the cover goes on a cantilever?
The closed bundle is not round. A side arm has to pass a wider middle, which is why BEEWAY prints 75 cm there and a centre-pole sleeve prints about 30 cm at the top. A pole through a table wants a sleeve that stops before the cloth pools on the top. Stars do not show that difference.
Does offset mean banana?
Not in this set. OKPOW B07PHFSCFM says offset market umbrellas and then says the cover is not for cantilevered umbrellas of any size. The khaki OKPOW does the same. Banana, hanging and cantilever are the words to look for, plus a middle width.
Which saved covers say they are not for cantilever?
OKPOW B07PHFSCFM at 190 × 30/50 cm, the khaki OKPOW at a 153 cm bullet, RICHIE at 190 × 25/50 cm, and Wanocean at 190 × 30/55 cm. RICHIE’s title still says 2.5 m to 4 m. The exclusion is in the bullet. AWNIC does not print a banana middle either.
Is 75 cm in the middle enough?
It is enough only if your closed arm is inside that width and the closed length is inside about 205 cm. That is BEEWAY’s print, for a title range of 1 m to 3 m banana. A larger arm will not squeeze in because the cloth is 210D. Measure the arm, not the open canopy.
Can Teynewer’s 170 cm cover do both jobs?
The listing claims both. The title says cantilever, and the bullet also names straight-pole and table umbrellas, at 170 × 25/35 cm. A claim is not a measurement. The sleeve is shorter than BEEWAY and much narrower in the middle. It does not become both shapes because the bullet lists them.
What if my cantilever is taller than 205 cm?
This set’s longest printed sleeve is BEEWAY at 205 cm. A trade shop’s straight-cantilever covers start nearer 250 cm on that seller’s own range, outside these twelve ASINs. If 205 cm stops short of the finial, none of the saved cantilever claims is the right length.
