Petrol pressure washer comparison 2026

The best petrol pressure washers, compared.

Top pick: Poyujkyhr 2600 PSI washer Best value: SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX – Named flow, a fixed aluminium axial pump and a two-year warranty, about £100 under the 215AX, after the missing review line is deducted. Updated 20 October 2026.

Peter F.Editor

A petrol pressure washer is a cold-water jet wash with a small four-stroke engine. You buy one in the UK when the job is away from an outdoor socket, or when you need more flow than a typical corded machine. A car or a small patio with a weatherproof, socket is usually an electric washer, covered in the [pressure washer](/hub/compressors/pressure-washer) comparison. A 5.0 from a single review is not a record. The manual rates the at 135 bar against a 162 bar maximum, and the at 180 bar against 216 bar. A 3500 title with no flow is not a higher working pressure. Judge a listing by rated bar, litres per hour, hose length, a stated pump type, and a review record longer than one line.

The best petrol pressure washers in detail

Poyujkyhr 2600 PSI washer

Rank 1

Poyujkyhr 2600 PSI washer

∼£169

Our view

The Poyujkyhr washer is £169.00, and the title and the table both say 2600 PSI, with 9 litres per minute. The hose is listed at 26.25 feet, the weight at 32 kg, and the title calls a 2 litre field a detergent tank. Five nozzles are included, without numbered angles. Two amazon.co.uk reviews sit at 5.0. The only review body praises patio, drive, fence, and vehicle cleaning, and the file has no criticism text. Warranty and the water-supply method are not stated. A matching pressure line is better than the listings that contradict themselves. Two short reviews are still a thin record at a sticker shared by several other frames.

Pros

  • Title and table agree on 2600 PSI
  • 9 L/min stated, with five nozzles and a 2 litre detergent tank in the title
  • £169.00
  • The review text that exists names patios, drives, fencing, and vehicles

Cons

  • Only two reviews, with no criticism text to weigh
  • Warranty, pump type, and water supply are not stated
  • 32 kg
  • Nozzle angles are not numbered

Best for: You want a £169 frame whose PSI figures agree, and you will treat two reviews as a trial rather than a service history.

Less suitable: You want a named pump, a warranty line, or a review count you can argue with.

Common questions

Can the listing be used on a patio?

The title names car, driveway, and patio cleaning. The only review body also names patios, drives, fencing, and vehicles.

How long is the hose?

The hose field says 26.25 feet.

Are there different spray settings?

The listing says five nozzles. It does not number the angles.

SIP Tempest CW-P 215AX

Rank 2

SIP Tempest CW-P 215AX

∼£432

Our view

The SIP Tempest CW-P 215AX is the dearest listing here at £432.26. The amazon.co.uk bullets and the April 2024 manual both put it at 216 bar maximum and 180 bar rated, with 522 litres per hour and an adjustable brass-headed axial pump. You also get a 7.5 m hose, five nozzles, a 3.6 litre fuel tank, 112 dB(A) sound power, suction from 2 m, and a two-year warranty. The listed weight is 25 kg. There is no integrated detergent tank. The star line is 5.0 from one review, and the file has no review body, so that star is not a finished-job report. The manual’s oil fill is 0.5 litre of 10W-30 for this model. You are paying for a specification you can check against the manual, at a price the 160AX undercuts when the extra flow is not the point.

Pros

  • 522 L/h and an adjustable brass-headed axial pump, named on the listing and in the 2024 manual
  • 180 bar rated beside 216 bar maximum, so the working figure is on the page
  • Two-year warranty, 7.5 m hose, five nozzles, and 2 m suction
  • 25 kg on a wheeled frame

Cons

  • £432.26, the highest price in this set
  • 5.0 from one review, with no review text to read
  • 112 dB(A) sound power
  • No integrated detergent tank

Best for: Site or yard work where 522 L/h and the adjustable brass head are the reason to spend more than the 160AX.

Less suitable: A few patio washes a year, or any buyer who wants a stack of UK reviews before paying this price.

Common questions

Can it run without a mains tap?

The bullets say it can draw from 2 m, from a water butt, barrel, tank, or container. It is still petrol, so it does not need a mains socket.

How long is the hose?

7.5 metres.

Is the pressure adjustable?

The title says adjustable, and the bullets name an adjustable brass-headed axial pump. They also state 180 bar as the rated figure beside 216 bar maximum.

SICHENSH 7.5 hp washer

Rank 3

SICHENSH 7.5 hp washer

∼£169

Our view

The SICHENSH washer is £169.00, with a 7.5 hp claim, five nozzles, two 8-inch wheels, and an 8 m hose that the bullets also call 26.24 ft. Flow is stated as 9 litres per minute. The title says 2200 PSI and the specification table says 2465 PSI, so the page does not give you one maximum. The only amazon.co.uk review is a 5.0 that says it started on the first pull and took about ten minutes to set up. That is the whole review record. Warranty and pump type are not stated. Self-prime and tap use are claimed. A perfect star on one setup comment is a thin reason to prefer this frame over another £169 listing.

Pros

  • 9 L/min is stated, with five nozzles and an 8 m hose
  • The single review describes a first-pull start
  • Self-prime and tap use are claimed
  • £169.00

Cons

  • 2200 PSI in the title and 2465 PSI in the table
  • One review, and it does not describe a finished surface
  • Warranty and pump type are not stated
  • Weight is not stated

Best for: A low-stakes trial of a £169 petrol frame, if you will return it when the first start does not match that single review.

Less suitable: Anyone treating a 5.0 from one review as proof, or anyone who needs the title and the table to name the same pressure.

Common questions

Is this an electric washer?

No. The power source is petrol, and the bullets quote a 7.5 hp engine.

How long is the hose?

The hose field says 8 metres. The bullets say 26.24 ft, which is the same reach in feet.

Does the listing include a patio cleaner?

No. It lists five nozzles and wheels. It does not list a surface cleaner.

CHERIPOLI 2200 PSI washer

Rank 4

CHERIPOLI 2200 PSI washer

∼£170

Our view

The CHERIPOLI washer is £169.99, with 7.5 hp, 2200 PSI, and 2.3 gallons per minute stated as one set of figures. Five nozzles run from a red 0° tip to a black 84° foam nozzle. The outlet is 26.24 ft, the inlet about 6.56 ft, and the listing claims self-prime as well as tap use. Dimensions are 56 x 50 x 81 cm. The star line is 5.0 from one review, and that review is a general note about cleaning away from a socket. Weight and warranty are absent. Agreement between the pressure and the flow line is the useful part of the page. One generic review does not show how the engine behaves after the first tank of petrol.

Pros

  • 2200 PSI and 2.3 gallons per minute are stated together
  • Five nozzles, including a numbered 0° tip and an 84° soap tip
  • Self-prime and tap use are claimed
  • £169.99

Cons

  • One review, and it does not describe a fault or a measured job
  • Weight and warranty are not stated
  • Pump type is not named
  • A 5.0 on that sample is easy to over-read

Best for: You need petrol because there is no socket, and you will judge this page by the spec lines rather than the star.

Less suitable: A buyer who wants UK comments on starting, oil, or a full driveway.

No. The power source is petrol. One review describes use away from a socket.

Pro Splash PS-205-PL

Rank 5

Pro Splash PS-205-PL

∼£270

Our view

The Pro Splash PS-205-PL is listed at £269.99 with 200 bar in the table, 2900 PSI in the title, a 7 hp OHV engine, four quick-connect nozzles, and an 8 m hose. Across 50 amazon.co.uk reviews it sits at 4.3, the only large sample in this set. UK reviews describe stronger cleaning than a previous electric washer, and some buyers found the assembly straightforward. The same file describes an oil level so low the engine would not spark, a wheel pin that would not stay in, a petrol cap that leaks when the tank is filled full, a missing green tip, hard starts with backfires, and a carton that needed two people at 29 kg. The table’s 540 litre field is a catalogue error beside a detergent-tank bullet, and 540 L/h does not match the bullets’ 10 L/min. The warranty bullet is one year, shorter than the two years on the SIP listings.

Pros

  • 4.3 from 50 amazon.co.uk reviews, with UK accounts of real cleaning
  • 200 bar in the table, an 8 m hose, and a built-in detergent tank
  • One-year warranty stated in the bullets
  • Pull-start petrol, so it does not need an outdoor socket

Cons

  • UK reviews report low oil and no spark, a loose wheel pin, a leaking petrol cap, and hard starting
  • One review says the green tip was missing
  • 540 L/h in the table, 10 L/min in the bullets, and a 540 litre tank field that is not a water tank
  • 29 kg, and reviews say the carton is a two-person lift

Best for: You want the only listing here with dozens of reviews, and you will check the oil and the nozzle set before the first job.

Less suitable: You want a two-year warranty and a pump type the listing actually names.

Common questions

How many nozzles are in the title?

The specification field says 540 litres. The bullets describe a detergent tank and a flow rate, not a 540 litre water tank. Treat that field as a catalogue error.

No. The power source is petrol. The bullets describe pull-start use where there is no electricity.

Mqwdxzfes GPW-M-1022

Rank 6

Mqwdxzfes GPW-M-1022

∼£170

Our view

The Mqwdxzfes GPW-M-1022 is £169.99, with 2200 PSI, 2.3 gallons per minute, a 7.5 hp claim, an 8 m outlet, a 2 m inlet, and five nozzles from 0° to an 84° soap tip. The listing claims self-prime as well as tap use, and the tank field says 3.6 litres. Dimensions are 56 x 50 x 81 cm. It sits at 4.3 from three reviews. One buyer found the first start awkward, got about a minute of running, then a cut-out, and described a throttle that felt like soft metal. The other texts are short praise. Three reviews cannot show whether that stop is a one-off or the bypass fault that appears on other machines in this set. Warranty is not stated.

Pros

  • 2200 PSI and 2.3 gallons per minute appear together, without a second PSI in the table
  • 8 m outlet, 2 m inlet, five nozzles, and a self-prime claim
  • £169.99 with two 8-inch wheels
  • A 3.6 litre tank field

Cons

  • One of three reviews describes a cut-out after about a minute
  • The same review calls the throttle soft metal
  • Warranty and pump type are not stated
  • Three reviews is a small sample

Best for: An occasional job away from a socket, if you will return the machine when a cut-out shows up on the first outing.

Less suitable: Regular weekend use, or anyone who reads a 4.3 from three reviews as a settled score.

Is it easy to move?

The bullets describe two 8-inch wheels. One review says the first start was awkward and the machine cut out after about a minute.

DGJMuu 7.5 hp washer

Rank 7

DGJMuu 7.5 hp washer

∼£170

Our view

The DGJMuu washer is £169.99. The title puts 2200 PSI and 170–190 bar in one line, while the table says 2756 PSI, and 2200 PSI is about 152 bar as a unit change, so the title is mixing two claims. Flow is printed as 2.3 gallons per minute, with five nozzles, an 8 m hose in the title, and 8-inch pneumatic wheels. The bullets name an axial cam pump and a soap canister. It sits at 3.3 from seven reviews. One buyer found it easier to move than a Kärcher and thought the kit felt complete. Other notes say the engine cuts out when jetting stops, and one describes a broken switch with seller replies around 24 hours. The dimension line of 20 x 20 x 35 cm does not look like a wheeled machine with that hose.

Pros

  • Five nozzles, an 8 m hose in the title, and 8-inch wheels
  • The bullets name an axial cam pump, which most £169 pages do not
  • Seven reviews, more text than a one-line 5.0
  • £169.99

Cons

  • Title pressure and table pressure do not match
  • Reviews describe a cut-out when jetting stops and a broken switch
  • 3.3 from 7 is a weak star line
  • 20 x 20 x 35 cm is not a credible size for this frame

Best for: You are comparing £169 pages and you want the one that at least names a pump, knowing the pressure lines conflict.

Less suitable: You need one pressure figure you can trust, or a machine that keeps running when you release the trigger.

Common questions

What is it made of?

Patio, driveway, car, and garden are in the title. That is a listing claim, not a test.

Ark Mat PPW-7-BHP

Rank 8

Ark Mat PPW-7-BHP

∼£225

Our view

The Ark Mat PPW-7-BHP at £224.95 states 185 bar, 8 litres per minute, a 7 hp engine, an 8 m high-pressure hose, a 3 m inlet hose with a filter, and a 3.5 litre detergent tank. The warranty field says 12 months, and the weight is 25 kg. Across 14 amazon.co.uk reviews it sits at 2.9. Owners report a second-pull start once fuel and oil were in, use from a water drum as well as a tap, and thick green growth cleared. The fault notes are the reason the score stays down: a motor that packed up after four uses, a machine dead on arrival, a cut-out inside a minute with no restart, and a pull cord that stuck, banged, and left the head off. One buyer says the sump arrived empty. The 26 x 26 x 42 cm line is too small for that hose and weight, so it is not the standing size.

Pros

  • 185 bar, 8 L/min, an 8 m hose, and a 3.5 litre detergent tank on one listing
  • 3 m inlet with a filter, and a review that used a water drum
  • 12-month warranty field
  • Some owners cleared heavy green growth

Cons

  • 2.9 from 14 reviews
  • Reports of early engine failure, a dead-on-arrival unit, and a head that came off
  • One review says it arrived with no oil
  • The dimension line does not match a 25 kg machine with an 8 m hose

Best for: You already accept a mixed 14-review file and you will fill the sump, then stop and return the machine if the head or the cord misbehaves.

Less suitable: You need the first weekend to be uneventful, or you want a two-year warranty.

One review says it arrived empty of oil and must be filled before starting. The specification table does not state an oil capacity.

SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX

Rank 9

SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX

∼£331

Our view

The SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX is listed at £330.89 with a 6.5 hp EURO V engine, 162 bar on the title, and 402 litres per hour. The April 2024 SIP manual rates that model at 135 bar against the 162 bar maximum, on a fixed aluminium axial pump. The amazon.co.uk bullets match that pump, and they add a 7.5 m hose, five nozzles, 104 dB(A) sound power, a 3.6 litre fuel tank, a 2 m suction hose with a strainer, and a two-year warranty. The frame is listed at 25 kg. There is no customer-review line in the file, so a start, a leak, or a seller reply is not something you can read before you buy. The pump pressure is fixed. The five nozzles are how you change the spray. At about £100 less than the 215AX, this is the documented home frame in the set when you do not need the higher flow.

Pros

  • 402 L/h, 7.5 m hose, five nozzles, and a stated fixed aluminium axial pump
  • Manual and listing agree on 162 bar maximum and 135 bar rated
  • Two-year warranty and 2 m suction from a butt or tank
  • £330.89, about £100 under the 215AX in this set

Cons

  • No star line and no review text on the amazon.co.uk file
  • 104 dB(A) sound power, so hearing protection belongs with the job
  • Fixed pressure. The adjustable brass head is the 215AX
  • 402 L/h sits under the 500 L/h band some UK guides use for regular work

Best for: A drive or yard with no socket, where you want a named flow and a two-year warranty and you can live with a fixed pump.

Less suitable: You need UK buyer comments before you order, or you want the 522 L/h of the 215AX.

Jerool 2200 PSI washer

Rank 10

Jerool 2200 PSI washer

∼£170

Our view

The Jerool washer is £169.50, with a 7 hp claim, 2200 PSI, 2.3 gallons per minute, five nozzles, a 26.24 ft hose, and two 8-inch wheels. The weight is 29.5 kg and the dimensions are 56 x 50 x 81 cm. The tank field says 3.6 litres. There is no customer-review line, so nothing on the page tells you whether it starts. The bullets mention a 23.6 oz engine-oil tank and a 118.3 oz pump-oil tank. That larger volume is about 3.5 litres, close to the 3.6 litre tank field, so it reads as a mislabelled fuel tank rather than a confirmed oil capacity. Water intake is not described, and the page does not claim self-priming. You are looking at a familiar £169 bullet list with no UK text behind it.

Pros

  • 2200 PSI, 2.3 gallons per minute, five nozzles, and a stated weight of 29.5 kg
  • 26.24 ft hose and 8-inch wheels
  • £169.50
  • Dimensions match the other upright frames at 56 x 50 x 81 cm

Cons

  • No star line and no review text
  • The pump-oil figure should not be read as a real oil capacity
  • Water supply is not stated, and self-prime is not claimed
  • Warranty and pump type are not stated

Best for: Only if you are already set on this price band and you will return an unreviewed frame that will not start.

Less suitable: A first petrol washer, because there is no buyer account and the oil wording is muddled.

Generic 3500 PSI washer

Rank 11

Generic 3500 PSI washer

∼£312

Our view

The Generic listing, manufacturer name Nünberg on the page, is £312.00 and titles itself as 3500 PSI and 7 hp. The hose field says 10 m, the wand 100 cm, the weight 35 kg, and the dimensions 90 x 60 x 90 cm, with CE and CSA on the specification line. Flow, nozzle count, fuel-tank size, and a customer-review line are all absent. The description is the words High Pressure, and the wheels question on the listing is unanswered. A 3500 PSI title converts to roughly 240 bar only as arithmetic. It is not a measured working pressure, and without litres per hour you cannot tell whether the jet moves dirt or just cuts a line. At this price the SIP 160AX states flow, a pump, and a warranty.

Pros

  • 10 m hose, the longest hose field in this set
  • 35 kg and a 100 cm wand are at least stated
  • The power source is petrol, at 7 hp in the title

Cons

  • No flow rate

Yes. The power source is petrol, and the title says 7 hp.

Does it have wheels?

The listing asks the question and does not answer it. Wheels are not stated.

How we compared

Scores use the amazon.co.uk listings already in the display file, the review notes on those eleven ASINs, and the April 2024 SIP Tempest manual for the 160AX and 215AX rated figures. This is not a lab test. Horsepower is not scored as cleaning power. A PSI title with no flow is not scored as a higher working pressure. The highest score is the top pick. The best price against a stated flow, a named pump and a two-year warranty, after the missing review line is already deducted, is the best value. One of each.

1

Listing you can check

40%

Points for a pressure the title and the table both state, a flow, a hose length, nozzles, a named pump, a warranty and a water-supply line. Deductions when the title PSI and the table PSI disagree, when a tank field is not credible, or when flow, nozzles or warranty are absent.

2

Review record

35%

Star rating on amazon.co.uk, then a hard deduction when the count is one to three lines, when there is no star line, or when UK reviews describe a cut-out, a dry sump that stops the spark, a dead engine after a few uses, or a head that came off under pressure. A 5.0 from one review does not outrank a 4.3 from 50.

3

Value

25%

Shelf price in GBP against a stated flow and a warranty you can read. A £169 sticker does not score here when the review file is a single comment. The dearest complete frame does not win this block either.

Petrol pressure washer buying guide

Choose the power source first, then flow and a rated pressure you can check, then a hose, nozzles, a named pump and a review record longer than one line. A higher PSI title is not a better cleaner when the page states no flow.

What is a petrol pressure washer?

A petrol pressure washer is a cold-water jet wash with a small four-stroke engine. You buy one when the job is far from an outdoor socket or needs more flow than a typical corded machine. It is not a hot-water washer. None of the eleven listings here is a steam cleaner, and a corded Kärcher that appeared in the wider intake is not this category. Judge a listing by rated bar, litres per hour, hose length, a stated pump type, and a review record longer than one line.

Best for

  • A household with a long drive or a garden and no outdoor socket
  • Site or yard work that needs a stated flow and a named pump

Not ideal for

  • A small patio that already has a weatherproof, RCD-protected socket
  • A flat, where petrol exhaust and stored fuel are the wrong setup

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Chasing the highest PSI

A 3500 PSI title with no flow is not a better cleaner. Keep the listing’s unit, and use the rated figure when the manual gives one. The SIP 215AX is 180 bar rated against 216 bar maximum. The 160AX is 135 bar rated against 162 bar maximum. Do not swap those rated figures.

  2. 2

Using the red nozzle on stone or paint

Usual colours here are red 0°, yellow 15°, green 25°, white 40°, and a black soap tip. The red tip is the wrong choice for cars, block paving, tarmac and sandstone. A soap tip is for detergent, not for cutting a line in paving.

  3. 3

Starting on an empty sump, or trusting one review

Many engines ship without oil. Ark Mat and Pro Splash reviews describe an empty or low sump. Fill it before the first pull. A 5.0 from one review is not a record, and it does not outrank 4.3 from 50. Leave E10 in the tank over winter only if the equipment is known to accept it.

What to weigh up

Flow, then working pressure

High

Flow comes before the biggest number in the title. ManoMano’s guide treats about 150 bar and about 500 litres per hour as enough for regular, not daily, use. That is a rule of thumb, not a result from these machines. A bar is about 14.5 PSI. Keep whichever unit the listing prints. Do not invent a litres-per-hour figure when the page only prints gallons per minute, and do not treat a PSI title as working pressure when flow is missing.

Pump, warranty and review depth

High

SIP names an axial pump: fixed aluminium on the 160AX, adjustable brass-headed on the 215AX. DGJMuu’s bullets name an axial cam pump. The other pages in this set do not name a pump. Do not assume a triplex pump, and do not treat the £169 frames as one factory. A warranty you can read is part of the value score. Both SIP listings state two years. Pro Splash states one year in the bullets. Ark Mat’s warranty field says 12 months. Several £169 pages state no warranty.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Long drive, no socket

You have a drive or a garden with no outdoor socket, and you want a review file you can actually read. The Pro Splash PS-205-PL is the top pick: 4.3 from 50 amazon.co.uk reviews, 200 bar in the table and an 8 m hose. Check the oil and the nozzle set before the first job. UK reviews also report low oil, a leaking petrol cap and hard starts.

Named pump and warranty

You want a stated flow, a named axial pump and a two-year warranty, and you can live with no star line. The SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX is the best value at about £330.89: 162 bar maximum, 135 bar rated, 402 L/h and a fixed aluminium axial pump. It is about £100 under the 215AX in this set.

Higher flow on site

Site or yard work is the reason to spend more, because you want 522 L/h and an adjustable brass-headed axial pump. The SIP Tempest CW-P 215AX states 216 bar maximum and 180 bar rated, with a two-year warranty, at about £432.26. The star line is 5.0 from one review, with no review body.

Common questions about petrol pressure washers

Which petrol pressure washer is the top pick in this set?
The top pick is the Pro Splash PS-205-PL at about £269.99. It is the only listing here with a large amazon.co.uk sample, 4.3 from 50 reviews, and UK reviews describe stronger cleaning than a previous electric washer. The same file also reports low oil, a leaking petrol cap, a missing green tip and hard starts. The table says 200 bar. A one-year warranty is in the bullets. This is not a lab test.
Which petrol pressure washer is the best value?
The best value is the SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX at about £330.89. The listing and the April 2024 manual agree on 162 bar maximum and 135 bar rated, with 402 L/h, a fixed aluminium axial pump and a two-year warranty. There is no star line on the amazon.co.uk file. It is about £100 under the 215AX. A £169 sticker with one review does not win this on price alone.
How much does a petrol pressure washer cost on amazon.co.uk?
In this set the entry cluster is about £169.00 to £169.99, with the Jerool at about £169.50. Mid listings are the Ark Mat at about £224.95 and the Pro Splash at about £269.99. Upper prices are the Generic at about £312.00, the SIP 160AX at about £330.89 and the SIP 215AX at about £432.26. These are shelf prices from the captured listings, not a market average. Dearer Honda-engined SIP models sit outside this ASIN list and are not priced here.
Should I buy petrol or electric?
Petrol is for no outdoor socket, a large garden or site work. A car or a small patio with a weatherproof RCD-protected socket is usually an electric washer. The petrol versus electric page stays on that fork. Noise on the SIP listings is 104 dB(A) and 112 dB(A) sound power, so hearing protection still matters at home. A flat is a poor place for petrol exhaust and stored fuel.
What pressure and flow should I look for?
Look at flow, then working pressure, and keep the listing’s unit. ManoMano’s guide treats about 150 bar and about 500 litres per hour as enough for regular, not daily, use. A bar is about 14.5 PSI. The SIP manual rates the 215AX at 180 bar against a 216 bar maximum, and the 160AX at 135 bar against 162 bar. A 3500 PSI title with no flow, as on the Generic listing, is not a better cleaner on the page alone.
Can I draw water from a butt or a pond?
The SIP bullets say the 160AX and 215AX can draw from 2 m, from a water butt, barrel, tank or container. Some £169 pages claim self-prime and tap use. The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 require backflow protection. A hose in a butt, pond or drain is a contamination risk. Self-prime is not permission to use a drain, a pond or farm slurry.
What should I check before the first pull?
Fill the sump before the first pull. Many engines ship without oil, and Ark Mat and Pro Splash reviews describe empty or low oil. Purge the pump with water and dump hose pressure after you stop. Do not use the red 0° nozzle on cars, block paving, tarmac or sandstone. GOV.UK says standard petrol is E10 and garden equipment may not be compatible, so do not leave it in the tank over winter.

Our verdict

On these amazon.co.uk listings the Pro Splash PS-205-PL is the top pick: 4.3 from 50 reviews, 200 bar in the table, an 8 m hose and a one-year warranty bullet, with real cleaning notes and repeated oil, start and fitting faults. The SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX is the best value at about £330.89, with 402 L/h, a fixed aluminium axial pump and a two-year warranty, and no star line to read. The 215AX states 522 L/h and an adjustable brass head at about £432.26. A 5.0 from one review does not outrank the Pro Splash sample. The Generic 3500 PSI title is not a working pressure you can use, because the page states no flow.
