Pressure washer comparison 2026

The best pressure washers, compared.

Top pick: Kärcher K 2 Horizontal Best value: Kärcher K 2 Horizontal – Lowest Kärcher shelf price here, at £69.12, with 4.6 from 873 and a Vario lance, if a 3 m hose is enough. Updated 20 October 2026.

A domestic pressure washer for a UK house is usually a corded cold-water pump, a trigger gun and a lance. Shoppers also search for a jet washer or a power washer. About 110 bar and 360 litres an hour suits bikes and light furniture. About 120 to 140 bar and 380 to 450 litres an hour is the retailer band for a car and an ordinary patio. Hose length, a fan you can soften, and a patio head matter as much as the motor. A tank line can copy the flow rate. Petrol, hot-water and cordless machines sit in other comparisons. How to read bar, flow and hose is in the [pressure washer buying guide](/hub/compressors/pressure-washer/sub/pressure-washer-buying-guide). Bosch UK splits at about 100 to 120 bar, at about 125 to 135 bar, and at about 140 to 160 bar.

The best pressure washers in detail

Kärcher K 2 Horizontal

Rank 1

Kärcher K 2 Horizontal

∼£69

Our view

Across 873 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.6, the Kärcher K 2 Horizontal (1.600-935.0) is the compact corded washer in this set, at £69.12. The title states 110 bar and 360 litres an hour, with a Vario Power lance and a 3 m hose on Quick Connect, and it does not include a patio cleaner. Reviewers use it on bikes, furniture and a few slabs, then shuffle the machine because that hose will not walk around a car. The listing weight is 4.38 kg while the title says 3.5 kg, and watts are not stated on this amazon.co.uk page. A detergent bottle is not confirmed in the captured bullets. In this comparison the row is the best value when a short hose is enough, which is why the score is 76.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 873 amazon.co.uk reviews
  • £69.12, the lowest Kärcher shelf price in this set
  • Vario Power lance rather than a fixed pencil jet
  • Title states 110 bar and 360 L/h together

Cons

  • 3 m hose, which reviews call short around a car
  • No patio cleaner in the box
  • Title weight 3.5 kg versus field weight 4.38 kg
  • Watts and a detergent bottle are not confirmed on this listing

Best for: Bikes, light furniture and a few slabs, if you can move the machine with a 3 m hose.

Less suitable: Walking around a car without shifting the unit, or a drive that needs a patio head.

Common questions

Does the K 2 Horizontal include a hose?

Yes. The listing states a 3 m high-pressure hose with Quick Connect. Reviews say that length is short around a car.

What pressure does the listing state?

The title says 110 bar and 360 litres an hour. The Amazon pressure field is 1,595.42 psi, which matches about 110 bar. Watts are not on this listing.

Is a detergent bottle included?

The listing questions ask about detergent. The bullets that were captured do not confirm a detergent bottle, so that part of the kit is not stated

Kärcher K 3 Horizontal

Rank 2

Kärcher K 3 Horizontal

∼£99

Our view

Across 560 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.6, the Kärcher K 3 Horizontal (1.602-822.0) sits at £99.00 with a stated 120 bar and 380 litres an hour. You get a 4 m hose, a Vario lance, a dirt blaster and a detergent suction tube, and the field weight is 4.78 kg. Reviews say the hose kinks and is still short, and some owners buy an anti-kink replacement. One review mentions a bucket attachment, and that attachment is not in the included list, so this is not a confirmed self-priming machine. Watts are not on the listing. It is a step up from the K 2 on flow and bar, with the same habit of making you move the unit, which is why the score is 72.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 560 amazon.co.uk reviews
  • 120 bar and 380 L/h, above the K 2 class in this set
  • Vario lance, dirt blaster and a detergent suction tube
  • 4 m hose and a field weight of 4.78 kg

Cons

  • 4 m hose that reviews say kinks
  • No patio cleaner in the box
  • Bucket use needs an attachment that is not included
  • Watts are not stated on this listing

Best for: A flat body for light patio work and bikes when 4 m of hose is enough if you move the machine.

Less suitable: A car you want to walk around, or a block-paved drive that needs a hooded head in the box.

Common questions

Does the K 3 Horizontal include a hose?

Yes. The hose field is 4 m. Reviews say it kinks and is short, and some owners buy an anti-kink hose.

Can it take detergent?

The bullets describe a built-in detergent suction tube. They do not name a branded detergent bottle in the box.

Can it run from a bucket?

One review says an extra attachment allows bucket use. That attachment is not in the included list.

Bosch AdvancedAquatak 140

Rank 3

Bosch AdvancedAquatak 140

∼£209

Our view

Across 521 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.6, the Bosch AdvancedAquatak 140 (06008A7D70) is the heaviest machine in this set, at a stated 17.6 kg and £208.99. The bullets state 2,100 W, 140 bar and 450 litres an hour, a metal gun, a variable fan, a rotary nozzle, a 550 ml detergent nozzle and a water filter. The included-items bullet says an 8 m hose and the item highlight says 5 m, so both lengths stay on the page. The highlight also states a maximum flow temperature of 40°C. Reviewers who mention the reel say the rotating handle can be stiff. The dimensions field of 15.4 × 11.8 × 31.1 cm is unlikely as a standing size, and a patio cleaner is not listed. The score is 64 because this is the step up in Bosch's own range, and you still have to resolve the hose length and move 17.6 kg.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 521 amazon.co.uk reviews
  • Bullets state 2,100 W, 140 bar and 450 L/h
  • Metal gun, variable fan, rotary nozzle and a 550 ml detergent nozzle
  • Water filter and a two-year warranty on the listing

Cons

  • Listing weight 17.6 kg, the heaviest field in this set
  • Hose bullet says 8 m and the highlight says 5 m
  • No patio cleaner in the box
  • £208.99, and reviewers call the reel handle stiff

Best for: A household that wants the Advanced class, a metal gun and about 140 bar, and can lift 17.6 kg.

Less suitable: A flat without storage for a heavy unit, or a buyer who needs one hose length before they pay.

Kärcher K 4 Power Control Flex

Rank 4

Kärcher K 4 Power Control Flex

∼£188

Our view

Across 372 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.6, the Kärcher K 4 Power Control Flex (1.324-302.0) is the long-hose Kärcher in this set, at £188.00, and the saved listing ranks it 1 in Pressure Washers. The listing states 130 bar, 420 litres an hour, an 8 m hose, a dirt blaster, a spray lance and a water filter, with an area figure of 30 m²/h. The title says 11.5 kg and the item-weight field says 6.3 kg, so do not plan a shelf from only one of those numbers. Watts are not on this amazon.co.uk page, and a detergent bottle is not in the included line, though reviewers talk about a plug-on detergent system. Some praise the Flex hose, and others say the supplied hose kinks and stops the flow. There is no patio head. The score is 67: the 8 m hose and the rating are real advantages, and the weight clash keeps it off the top of this table.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 372 amazon.co.uk reviews, raw-file rank 1 in Pressure Washers
  • 8 m hose, the joint-longest stated hose in this set
  • 130 bar and 420 L/h, with a spray lance and a dirt blaster
  • Water filter and a two-year warranty on the listing

Cons

  • Title weight 11.5 kg versus field weight 6.3 kg
  • No patio head in the box
  • Some reviews say the hose kinks and stops the flow
  • Watts are not stated, and the shelf price is £188.00

Best for: A car and a larger paved area when 8 m of hose is the point and you will buy a patio head separately.

Less suitable: A tight shed if you only read one of the two weights, or a drive that must have a hood on day one.

The hose field is 8 m, with a dirt blaster, a spray lance and a water filter. A detergent bottle is not in that included line. Reviewers talk about a plug-on detergent system.

Which weight should you quote?

The title says 11.5 kg and the item-weight field says 6.3 kg. Both stay visible. Watts are not on this amazon.co.uk listing.

Kärcher K 3 eco!Booster Car & Home

Rank 5

Kärcher K 3 eco!Booster Car & Home

∼£139

Our view

The Kärcher K 3 eco!Booster Car & Home (1.676-362.0) is the kit listing at £139.00, with a wash brush, a foam nozzle, car shampoo, a T 1 patio cleaner, stone and facade detergent, an eco!Booster and a dirt blaster. The title says 120 bar and the Amazon field says 1,500 psi, about 103 bar, while the flow is 380 litres an hour and the hose is 6 m. Across 53 reviews the rating is 4.6. Complaints in that small sample are a short hose and cable around a car, thin storage hooks, and one report that the machine would not run with the eco!Booster fitted. The field weight is 4.31 kg against a highlight of 4.5 kg, and watts are not stated. The listing prints a 50% higher cleaning performance versus Kärcher's own standard flat jet, which is a brand claim, not a test we ran. The score is 58 because the box is the most complete car-and-patio kit here and the review file is still thin.

Pros

  • T 1 patio cleaner, wash brush, foam nozzle and shampoo in one box
  • 6 m hose, longer than the K 2 and the K 3 Horizontal
  • 4.6 from 53 amazon.co.uk reviews
  • eco!Booster and dirt blaster named on the highlight

Cons

  • Title 120 bar versus a 1,500 psi field, about 103 bar
  • Only 53 reviews
  • Reviews call the hose and cable short around a car
  • One report that the machine would not run with the eco!Booster fitted

Best for: A household that wants a car brush and a patio head in the same Kärcher box and will check the pressure field before paying.

Less suitable: A buyer who needs a large UK review file, or who will treat 120 bar and 1,500 psi as the same number.

The title says max. 120 bar. The Amazon field says 1,500 psi, about 103 bar. Both are stored. Watts are not on this listing.

What do the 53 reviews complain about?

Short hose and cable around a car, thin storage hooks for the patio head and foam jet, and one report that the machine would not run with the eco!Booster fitted.

Bosch EasyAquatak 120

Rank 6

Bosch EasyAquatak 120

∼£131

Our view

Across 4,380 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.5, the Bosch EasyAquatak 120 (06008A7972) is the listing in this set with the largest review count and a patio cleaner in the box, at £130.86. The included kit has a 250 patio cleaner, a wash brush, a variable fan, a rotary nozzle, a 450 ml detergent nozzle, a 5 m hose and a filter. The field says 120 bar and 350 litres an hour, while one bullet puts 100 bar beside the 1,500 W motor, so both figures stay on the page. The weight is 5.1 kg. Owners praise the compact body and the patio head, and they also mention noise, a shortfall on the heaviest jobs, and hoses that leak or arrive damaged. The tank field of 350 litres copies the flow. The score is 74: the sample and the hood are the reason to shortlist it, and the bar clash is the reason it is not the top pick.

Pros

  • 4.5 from 4,380 amazon.co.uk reviews, the largest sample in this set
  • 250 patio cleaner and a wash brush in the box
  • Variable fan, rotary nozzle, detergent nozzle, 5 m hose and a filter
  • Listing weight 5.1 kg and a stated 1,500 W motor

Cons

  • Pressure field says 120 bar and a bullet says 100 bar
  • Tank field of 350 litres copies the flow rate
  • 5 m hose is shorter than the UniversalAquatak and the K 4
  • Reviews mention noise, heavy-job shortfall, and hoses that leak or arrive damaged

Best for: Slabs and a small drive when you want a hooded head on day one and can live with a 5 m hose.

Less suitable: A buyer who needs one pressure figure, or a long walk around a large car without moving the machine.

Kärcher K 2 Classic

Rank 7

Kärcher K 2 Classic

∼£74

Our view

Across 789 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.5, the Kärcher K 2 Classic (1.673-572.0) is the other compact K 2, at £73.98. The listing states 110 bar and 360 litres an hour, a 3 m hose, a one-way lance and a dirt blaster, with on-board storage for the lances and the cable. The field weight is 3.36 kg, close to the highlight figure of 3.4 kg. Reviews call the hose short and keen to coil, so a patio afternoon means moving the unit rather than standing in one place. The dirt blaster is the wrong nozzle for paint, tyres and timber, which Kärcher manuals also keep off those surfaces. Watts are not on this listing. It costs a little more than the K 2 Horizontal and still leaves you with 3 m of hose, so the score stays at 68.

Pros

  • 4.5 from 789 amazon.co.uk reviews
  • Dirt blaster and one-way lance in the box
  • Field weight 3.36 kg, close to the 3.4 kg highlight
  • 110 bar and 360 L/h agree across the listing

Cons

  • 3 m hose that reviews say coils and stays short
  • Dirt blaster is the wrong daily nozzle for paint, tyres and wood
  • No patio head in the box
  • Watts are not stated, and the price is £73.98 against £69.12 for the K 2 Horizontal

Best for: Bikes and a small patio when you will move a machine of about 3.4 kg as you work.

Less suitable: A car wash from one standing position, or a buyer who wants a variable fan as the only daily nozzle.

The highlight lists a high-pressure gun, a one-way spray lance and a dirt blaster, plus on-board storage for the lances and cable.

ETOOLAB W90

Rank 8

ETOOLAB W90

∼£120

Our view

The ETOOLAB W90 listing, at £119.99, claims 2,000 W, 345 bar and 680 litres an hour, and the pressure field says 5,000 psi, which matches that bar figure on paper. Across 69 amazon.co.uk reviews the rating is 4.5, a small sample next to the Bosch and Kärcher rows. The highlight includes four nozzles at 0°, 15°, 25° and 40°, a foam cannon, four wheels and a high-pressure hose whose length is not stated. The weight field is 8.98 kg. In the UK sample, one wand leaked after about a week and one gun would not fit the hose, so that buyer returned it. BS EN 60335-2-79 covers cleaners up to 35 MPa, which is 350 bar, so 345 bar sits at that ceiling as a claim, not as a measured home result. The score is 46 because the stars sit on an unverified pressure and a missing hose length.

Pros

  • 4.5 from 69 amazon.co.uk reviews at £119.99
  • Four nozzles and a foam cannon named on the listing
  • 2,000 W and 680 L/h stated, with a weight field of 8.98 kg
  • 345 bar and 5,000 psi agree with each other as printed figures

Cons

  • 345 bar is a listing claim at the top of the 350 bar standard window, not a test
  • High-pressure hose length is not stated
  • UK sample includes a leaking wand and a gun that would not fit
  • 69 reviews is a thin file beside machines with thousands

Best for: Only a buyer who has checked the manual and the hose length, and who will not treat 345 bar as the reason to choose it.

Less suitable: A first washer bought because the bar number is the largest on the page.

Common questions

Does it include a hose and a foam cannon?

The highlight includes a foam cannon and four nozzles, and the bullets include a high-pressure hose. The hose length is not stated.

Is the 345 bar figure measured?

No. It is the title claim, and the pressure field says 5,000 psi. Nothing in the saved listing independently measures it.

In the UK sample, one wand leaked after about a week, and one gun would not fit the hose, so that buyer returned it. The rating is 4.5 from 69 reviews.

Bosch UniversalAquatak 135

Rank 9

Bosch UniversalAquatak 135

∼£108

Our view

Across 3,060 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.4, the Bosch UniversalAquatak 135 (06008A7C70) is the corded washer to open first in this set when you want reach without a patio head, at £108.00. The highlight states 1,900 W and 135 bar, with 450 litres an hour, a 7 m hose and a 3-in-1 nozzle that combines a fan, a rotary jet and a point jet, plus a 450 ml detergent nozzle and a water filter. The listing weight is 6.55 kg. In the raw sample, owners mention a gritty release button that jams, a gun that feels flimsy, and one machine that failed after light use in about two years. The dimensions field of 17.4 × 14.7 × 14.2 cm and a 410 litre tank field are not credible for this machine. There is no patio cleaner in the box. In this comparison the score is 81, the highest here, because the hose, the stated watts and the review count agree on a mid-price job.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 3,060 amazon.co.uk reviews, the second-largest sample in this set
  • £108.00 with a stated 7 m hose, 1,900 W, 135 bar and 450 L/h
  • 3-in-1 nozzle, 450 ml detergent nozzle and a water filter
  • Listing weight 6.55 kg

Cons

  • No patio cleaner in the box
  • 3-in-1 includes a point jet you should not park on paint
  • Release button and gun draw complaints in the raw sample
  • Dimensions and a 410 litre tank field do not describe this machine

Best for: A car and ordinary paving when a 7 m hose matters and you will add a patio head later if the joints need one.

Less suitable: A drive you want to clean with a hood on day one, or a buyer who will trust the 410 litre tank field.

The bullets say it combines a fan jet, a rotary jet and a point jet. A separate patio cleaner is not listed.

VYTRONIX JETW1800

Rank 10

VYTRONIX JETW1800

∼£75

Our view

Across 809 amazon.co.uk reviews rated 4.4, the VYTRONIX JETW1800 is the under-£80 listing that states 1,800 W, 135 bar, 480 litres an hour and a 6 m hose, at £74.99. The box includes a jet, a turbo nozzle, a detergent nozzle and a scrubbing brush, and the bullets add a 5 m mains cable. The weight field is 7.8 kg. A reviewer had to buy a separate garden hose for the tap, and another wanted a Kärcher adaptor that is not supplied. The tank-volume field says 480 litres, which copies the flow rate and is not a water tank. The turbo nozzle needs the same caution as any dirt blaster on paint. The score is 70 because the hose and the review count are useful, while the catalogue still invents a tank.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 809 amazon.co.uk reviews at £74.99
  • Stated 1,800 W, 135 bar, 480 L/h and a 6 m high-pressure hose
  • Jet, turbo, detergent nozzle and scrubbing brush in the bullets
  • 5 m mains cable named on the listing

Cons

  • Tank field of 480 litres copies the flow and is not a tank
  • Garden hose for the tap is not the 6 m high-pressure hose
  • No Kärcher adaptor in the box
  • Turbo nozzle is a risk on paint if you hold it close

Best for: A first corded washer under £80 when a 6 m hose matters more than a Kärcher badge.

Less suitable: Anyone who needs Kärcher accessories to fit, or who will treat the 480 litre field as stored water.

Common questions

Does it include a scrubbing brush?

Yes. The bullets include a jet nozzle, a turbo nozzle, a detergent nozzle and a scrubbing brush.

Is the garden hose in the box?

The 6 m hose on the listing is the high-pressure hose. A reviewer had to buy a separate garden hose for the tap.

Will Kärcher accessories fit?

The listing does not include a Kärcher adaptor. A reviewer wanted one and said it was not supplied.

Our view

The Yospinber S100 is the £49.99 listing, and the title claims 1,800 W, 140 bar, 420 litres an hour and an 8 m hose. The power-source field says Battery Powered while the bullets say a 2 m power cord, so this is not a confirmed cordless washer. The pressure field of 2,025 psi is about 140 bar, so those two pressure lines agree even though the power lines do not. The weight field is 5.39 kg, with an adjustable nozzle, a foam tank and a car brush named, and a full counted parts list is not in the saved listing. The rating is 4.4 from 47 reviews. The saved listing contains one UK review, which says the handle arrived broken, and the other captured texts are not in UK English, so they are not treated as UK opinion of this washer. The score is 42 because the price is low and the listing does not yet describe one machine.

Pros

  • Shelf price £49.99, the lowest in this set
  • Title states 140 bar, 420 L/h and an 8 m hose, and 2,025 psi agrees with about 140 bar
  • Adjustable nozzle, foam tank and a car brush are named
  • Field weight 5.39 kg

Cons

  • Power-source field says battery and the bullets say a 2 m power cord
  • One UK review in the saved listing, and it reports a broken handle
  • Other captured review texts are not UK English
  • A full counted parts list is not in the saved listing

Best for: Not a default buy until the listing states one power source and UK reviews describe the machine that arrived.

Less suitable: A first washer chosen because £49.99 and 140 bar look like the bargain on the page.

Common questions

Is it cordless?

The power-source field says Battery Powered. The bullets say 1,800 W and a 2 m power cord. Those lines conflict, so it is not a confirmed cordless washer.

Does it include a hose?

The title and bullets say an 8 m high-pressure hose and a 2 m inlet hose. A full counted parts list is not in the saved listing.

What do the UK reviews say?

There is one UK review in the saved listing, and it says the handle arrived broken. The other review blocks are Italian or German text about nozzles, not a UK test of this washer.

How we compared

For this comparison we read eleven corded pressure washer listings on amazon.co.uk, dated 19 October 2026. There is no lab test. The score uses the star line, the UK review count, whether the listing agrees with itself, and price only when the review file is still large and the machine can do a real job. A higher bar number does not raise the score on its own. Watts are not copied onto a Kärcher listing that omits them.

1

Amazon star rating

26%

The amazon.co.uk star line for that ASIN. A 4.6 scores higher than a 4.5, and a 4.5 higher than a 4.4. Stars alone do not decide the row.

2

UK review count

22%

How many UK reviews sit behind that star line. At least 4,000 reviews scores at the top of this part. Fewer than 50 scores at the bottom.

3

Listing agreement

30%

A stated hose of 6 m or longer, a variable fan, stated watts and a patio head add points. A tank field that copies the flow, a pressure clash, a missing hose, a 345 bar claim, or a weight that doubles, take points off.

4

Value

22%

Shelf price in GBP helps only when the review count is still large and the machine can do a real job. A short hose caps that value score.

Pressure washer buying guide

Start with the surface, then pressure with flow, then the hose. A larger bar number is not a licence to clean paint, sandstone or decking.

What should a UK pressure washer do?

A domestic pressure washer for a UK house is a corded cold-water pump, a trigger gun and a lance. Shoppers also say jet washer or power washer. This comparison stays with corded electric machines. Bosch UK splits Easy at about 100 to 120 bar, Universal at about 125 to 135 bar, and Advanced at about 140 to 160 bar. Kärcher’s labels in this set put the K 2 near 110 bar and 360 litres an hour, the K 3 near 120 bar and 380 litres an hour, and the K 4 near 130 bar and 420 litres an hour.

Best for

  • Bikes, light furniture and a few slabs, if you can move a machine on a 3 m hose
  • A car or ordinary paving when you want a stated hose of about 6 m or more

Not ideal for

  • Anyone treating 345 bar, or a tank field that copies the flow, as a measured result
  • A drive that must have a hooded head on day one, if you only look at the highest bar number

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Ignoring a 3 m hose

Both K 2 models state 3 m. Reviews say that length is short around a car, so you move the machine rather than stand in one place.

  2. 2

Trusting a tank field or a 345 bar claim

The EasyAquatak tank field of 350 litres copies the flow. The VYTRONIX field of 480 litres does the same. The ETOOLAB 345 bar line is a listing claim at the top of the BS EN 60335-2-79 window, not a test.

  3. 3

Using a dirt blaster on paint or decking

Kärcher manuals keep the dirt blaster off paint, tyres and wood, and keep about 30 cm from paint. Marshalls says stay at least 200 mm off paving and re-sand if you wash it.

What to weigh up

Pressure, flow and surface

High

About 110 bar and 360 litres an hour suits bikes and furniture. About 120 to 140 bar and 380 to 450 litres an hour is the retailer band in this set for a car and an ordinary patio. Screwfix’s sketch is about 100 bar for light work, 110 to 130 bar for medium work, and above 130 bar for heavier concrete. A green drive wants flow and a patio head, not a number near 300 bar. Paint, sandstone and decking want a wide fan on the lowest useful setting. Watts are input.

Hose, nozzles and kit

High

This set runs from 3 m on both K 2 models to 8 m on the K 4 and on the AdvancedAquatak bullet, which also prints 5 m in the highlight. The ETOOLAB hose length is not stated. Short-hose reviews say you shuffle the machine around the car. Use a variable fan daily and keep the dirt blaster off paint, tyres and wood. A hooded patio head is kinder to joints. The EasyAquatak 120 includes a 250 patio cleaner.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Bikes and light furniture

You wash bikes, furniture and a few slabs, and you can live with a 3 m hose. The K 2 Horizontal is £69.12, with 4.6 from 873, a stated 110 bar and 360 litres an hour, and a Vario lance. The title says 3.5 kg and the field says 4.38 kg. Watts are not stated, and there is no patio head.

Car and ordinary paving

A car and a patio need a fan you can soften and about 6 m of hose. The UniversalAquatak 135 states 7 m, 1,900 W, 135 bar and 450 litres an hour, at £108, with 4.4 from 3,060. There is no patio head in the box. The 3-in-1 includes a point jet you should not park on paint.

Drive with a surface cleaner

A drive that needs a surface cleaner points at the EasyAquatak 120 or the K 3 eco!Booster, not at an unverified 345 bar claim. The EasyAquatak includes a 250 patio cleaner and has 4.5 from 4,380, at £130.86, with a 5 m hose. The field says 120 bar and a bullet says 100 bar.

Common questions about pressure washers

Which pressure washer is the top pick here?
The Bosch UniversalAquatak 135 is the top pick on this page. The amazon.co.uk listing is £108, with 4.4 from 3,060 ratings, a stated 1,900 W, 135 bar, 450 litres an hour and a 7 m hose. The 3-in-1 nozzle combines a fan, a rotary jet and a point jet. There is no patio cleaner in the box. Skip it if you need a hooded head on day one, or if you will treat the 410 litre tank field as stored water.
Which pressure washer is the best value?
The Kärcher K 2 Horizontal is the best value in this set, at £69.12, with 4.6 from 873 reviews. The title states 110 bar and 360 litres an hour, a Vario Power lance and a 3 m hose. Watts are not stated. Reviews use it on bikes, furniture and a few slabs, then move the machine because that hose will not walk around a car. Choose it when a short hose is enough. Skip it for a car you want to wash from one place.
How much pressure does a patio or a car need?
Screwfix’s retailer sketch is about 100 bar for light work, 110 to 130 bar for medium work, and above 130 bar for heavier concrete. About 110 bar and 360 litres an hour suits bikes and furniture. About 120 to 140 bar and 380 to 450 litres an hour is the band in this set for cars and ordinary patios. Watts are input, not a surface licence. Paint, sandstone and decking want a wide fan on the lowest useful setting, not a number near 300 bar.
How long should the hose be?
In this set the hose runs from 3 m on both K 2 models to 8 m on the K 4 and on the AdvancedAquatak bullet. The Advanced highlight also says 5 m, so both lengths stay on that listing. The ETOOLAB hose length is not stated. Short-hose reviews say you shuffle the machine around the car. A hose of about 6 m is the practical cut for a car if you do not want to keep moving the unit. A patio head does not replace that reach.
Is 345 bar a reason to buy the ETOOLAB?
No. The ETOOLAB W90 title claims 345 bar, and the field says 5,000 psi, which matches that figure on paper. BS EN 60335-2-79 covers 2.5 to 35 MPa, which is 25 to 350 bar, so 345 bar sits at that ceiling as a listing claim. Nothing on the amazon.co.uk listing measures it. The hose length is not stated, and the UK sample is 4.5 from 69 reviews, including a leaking wand. A higher bar number does not raise the score on its own.
Can I wash the car during a hosepipe ban?
A Temporary Use Ban can stop hosepipe washing of a private car, paths and patios. Ofwat cites a fine of up to £1,000. A ban is local, so you check your water company. A water butt is not automatically exempt. Do not leave the washer hose in a bucket, pond or drain. The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 require backflow protection for the risk. WaterSafe points to an approved double check valve.
When should I look at a cordless pressure washer instead?
This page is corded electric cold-water washers with a UK 3-pin plug and an RCD outdoors. A cordless pressure washer is a different comparison, for a job away from a socket. Petrol and hot-water machines are other categories too. The Yospinber field says battery and the bullets say a 2 m power cord, so it is not a confirmed cordless washer. Stop if the cable is damaged or the RCD trips at once.

Our verdict

On these amazon.co.uk listings the Bosch UniversalAquatak 135 is the top pick: 4.4 from 3,060, a stated 1,900 W, 135 bar, 450 litres an hour and a 7 m hose, at £108. There is no patio cleaner in the box, and the dimensions and 410 litre tank fields are not credible. The Kärcher K 2 Horizontal is the best value at £69.12, with 4.6 from 873, 110 bar, 360 litres an hour and a Vario lance, if you can live with a 3 m hose. The EasyAquatak 120 has the largest review file, 4.5 from 4,380, and a patio cleaner, with a field of 120 bar against a bullet of 100 bar.
