Best petrol pressure washer

Updated: 21.10.2026

You want one petrol machine from this amazon.co.uk set, and the £169 pages all look like the same photograph with a different brand. Best here means the listing whose pressure, flow, warranty, and review text match the job. It does not mean the highest PSI, or a 5.0 from a single review. Products Compared read the eleven listings in the [petrol pressure washer comparison](/hub/compressors/petrol-pressure-washer) on 19 October 2026, plus the April 2024 SIP manual. There is no lab test. Pro Splash PS-205-PL scores highest on 50 reviews. The SIP Tempest 160AX is the best value at £330.89.

What best can mean without a lab

The score uses the amazon.co.uk specification, the conflicts inside it, and the review text where any exists. A perfect star does not beat a 4.3 from 50. Ark Mat is 2.9 from 14. The 160AX, Jerool, and the Generic 3500 PSI page have no star line. Units stay on the petrol pressure washer buying guide. This page names machines.

The £169 frames

SICHENSH, Poyujkyhr, DGJMuu, CHERIPOLI, and Mqwdxzfes sit between £169.00 and £169.99. Jerool is £169.50. Treat them as one gamble with different paperwork. Poyujkyhr is the tidiest: title and table both say 2600 PSI and 9 litres per minute, with two reviews. SICHENSH prints 2200 PSI and 2465 PSI, and its single review is a first pull. DGJMuu is 3.3 from seven, and owners report a cut-out when jetting stops. Mqwdxzfes agrees on 2200 PSI, then one of three reviews describes a cut-out after about a minute. Jerool has no reviews. The return window is the safety net.

Pro Splash and Ark Mat

The Pro Splash PS-205-PL at £269.99 is the top pick on review depth. The table says 200 bar, the hose is 8 m, and the bullets include a one-year warranty. UK reviews describe stronger cleaning than a previous electric washer, and also oil so low the engine would not spark, a leaking petrol cap, and a missing green tip. The 540 litre tank field is a catalogue error. Skip it for a named pump and two years. Ark Mat's PPW-7-BHP at £224.95 states 185 bar and 8 litres per minute. The 2.9 from 14 reviews includes cleared green growth and a pull cord that stuck, banged, and left the head off. One buyer says it arrived with no oil. That is why Ark Mat stays off the short list. The petrol vs electric pressure washer page is the exit if this is more machine than you wanted.

The two SIP Tempest models

The SIP Tempest CW-P 160AX at £330.89 is the best value against a stated flow, a named pump, and a two-year warranty. The April 2024 manual rates it at 135 bar on a fixed aluminium axial pump, with 402 litres per hour, a 7.5 m hose, 104 dB(A), and suction from 2 m. There is no star line. The 215AX at £432.26 is 216 bar maximum, 180 bar rated, 522 litres per hour, and an adjustable brass-headed axial pump, at 112 dB(A). The extra money buys flow and the brass head. The Generic page at £312 claims 3500 PSI and omits flow. Leave it.

Who should leave this category

A small patio and a car beside a splashproof outdoor socket on an RCD are an electric washer's job. A flat is the wrong place for exhaust and a petrol can. Beyond a cable, the 160AX is the documented home frame, the 215AX is the higher flow, and Pro Splash is the review file. The £169 cluster waits on a longer record.

Common questions

Which listing is sensible for a few times a year?
The SIP 160AX at £330.89, if you want 402 litres per hour, a named axial pump, and two years on the listing, and you can accept that amazon.co.uk shows no reviews. Pro Splash at £269.99 is the alternative when you would rather read 50 reviews and live with the faults in them. A £169 frame is a gamble for a few outings, with the return window as the backup.
Is the SIP 215AX worth £100 more than the 160AX?
It is worth the gap when you want 522 litres per hour and the adjustable brass head. The 160AX is rated at 135 bar with a fixed aluminium pump and 402 litres per hour. Both have a two-year warranty and a 7.5 m hose. Neither has a review file you can lean on. Pay the extra for flow, not for a story the page does not contain.
Why not buy the 3500 PSI machine at £312?
The Generic listing states 3500 PSI, 7 hp, a 10 m hose, and 35 kg. It does not state flow, nozzles, or a review line. The body text is the words High Pressure. The SIP 160AX, at a similar price, states 402 litres per hour and a pump. A PSI title on its own is not a cleaner.
Does a 5.0 from one review beat a 4.3 from 50?
A 5.0 from one review is a single comment. SICHENSH, CHERIPOLI, and the SIP 215AX each show 5.0 from one review. Pro Splash shows 4.3 from 50, including both successful cleaning and real faults. Fifty reviews can show a pattern. The pattern is what the score uses.
Who should skip Pro Splash?
Skip it if 29 kg is too much to move, if you want a pump type in writing, or if a one-year bullet is shorter than you will accept. Also skip it if low-oil no-spark reviews and a leaking filler cap are more risk than you want at £269.99. The cleaning praise in that file is real. It does not cancel the faults.
Who should skip Ark Mat?
Skip it when the first sessions need to be dull. The specification is coherent at 185 bar and 8 litres per minute, and the star line is 2.9 from 14. Reviews include early engine death and a head that came off after the pull cord stuck.
