Mitre saw stand comparison 2026

The best Mitre saw stands, compared.

Top pick: Bosch GTA 3800 Best value: Evolution EVOMS1 – Best value at about £74.99, with 150 kg and 3 m in the title and 4.7 from 5,168 reviews. Updated October 2026.

Peter F.Editor

A mitre saw stand is the metal frame you fasten a mitre saw to, so the saw stays put and long timber is supported on either side of the cut. In the UK it is bought for skirting, architrave, decking and studs. Roller stands, sawhorses and a hand mitre box are not in the set. The useful differences are the mount, a stated load that includes the saw, arms that lock level with the saw table, and a fold or wheels that match how you store the stand. Einhell’s manuals limit the 1608 and the 1610 to saws. The checks, in order, are in the [mitre saw stand buying guide](/hub/power-saws/mitre-saw-stand/sub/mitre-saw-stand-buying-guide). The saw still needs a BS 1363 plug on 230 V. The stand does not guard the blade, and listing rows that mention rpm, volts, teeth or batteries on these frames are listing noise. Bosch’s 3800 manual names benchtop models and then says selected other manufacturers’ saws can be fitted. Check hole spacing and bolt length before you drill a bracket. One UK reviewer needed longer bolts for a saw on that stand.

The best Mitre saw stands in detail

Bosch GTA 3800

Rank 1

Bosch GTA 3800

∼£240

Our view

The Bosch GTA 3800 is an aluminium work bench listed at £239.99, with 4.8 from 577 reviews and an item weight of 24.4 kg. The bullets name a fast-release tool carrier and include a machine holder plus workpiece supports with a roller and a length stop. They do not state a kilogram load or a support length, and they do not include transport wheels. Bosch’s 2021 manual is more precise: 250 kg for the tool plus the workpiece without extensions, 150 kg with the extensions fitted, and 50 kg on each extension, with an extended length of 3,877 mm and a height of 824 mm. UK reviews say the stand is heavy and that wheels are a separate purchase. The same manual warns that the centre of gravity can shift after the cut and the stand can tip, and it limits intended use to Bosch benchtop saws plus selected saws from other manufacturers. At this price you are buying the aluminium bench and the included stops, and you still have to read that load split rather than the empty amazon load row.

Pros

  • 4.8 from 577 reviews
  • Fast-release carrier, roller and length stop in the box
  • Manual states 3,877 mm extended and a split load
  • Aluminium frame with a named machine holder

Cons

  • £239.99 with no kilogram load in the amazon bullets
  • Listing weight 24.4 kg and no wheels in the box
  • The manual’s 250 kg figure is without extensions, not timber on the arms
  • Intended use is Bosch benchtop saws, then selected other brands

Best for: You want a fixed aluminium bench with a length stop and will read the manual’s load split before you hang stock on the extensions.

Less suitable: You need wheels in the box, a load printed on the amazon listing, or a stand you can carry at about 12 kg.

Common questions

What material does the GTA 3800 listing name?

The bullets and material rows say aluminium.

Does the GTA 3800 come with a machine holder?

Yes. The included-components line lists machine holder 2 610 948 622.

Do the bullets include transport wheels?

No. Wheels are not in the bullets. UK reviews say this stand has no wheels.

Evolution EVOMS1

Rank 2

Evolution EVOMS1

∼£75

Our view

The Evolution EVOMS1 title states a 150 kg load and a 3 m support at £74.99, and the amazon.co.uk line is 4.7 from 5,168 reviews. All 50 review blocks in the capture carry a United Kingdom header, which is a thicker UK sample than the BORA listing. The title names Evolution, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo. The listing has no stand weight, no wheel row and no mount description, so those facts are not on the amazon card. Evolution’s UK shop states 15.5 kg, 3 m, 150 kg and a quick-release, and it says the stand is not for the S355MCS or S355CPS. That shop page prints hole spacing as 680 × 370 mm in the body and 680 × 330 mm in the table, so you should not treat either figure as settled until the base is in front of you. One UK reviewer needed longer bolts for a Worx saw. In this set it is the best value when you want a stated 3 m length and a large UK review count, and you will still check the holes.

Pros

  • Title states 150 kg and 3 m at £74.99
  • 4.7 from 5,168 reviews, with 50 of 50 sampled blocks headed United Kingdom
  • Title names seven common mitre-saw brands
  • Evolution’s own shop states a quick-release and 15.5 kg

Cons

  • The amazon listing has no weight, wheels or mount row
  • The shop page prints two different hole spacings
  • Not for the Evolution S355MCS or S355CPS, on the shop page
  • One UK review needed longer bolts for a Worx saw

Best for: You want a folding stand around £75 with a stated 3 m support and a large UK review sample.

Less suitable: You need wheels, a weight or a mount described on the amazon listing itself, or you own an S355MCS or S355CPS.

Common questions

What load and length does the EVOMS1 title state?

The title says the stand supports 150 kg and a 3 m length.

Which brands does the EVOMS1 title name?

Evolution, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo.

Is the stand weight on the listing?

No. The amazon.co.uk listing does not state weight, height or wheels. Evolution’s UK shop states 15.5 kg.

Einhell MSS 1610

Rank 3

Einhell MSS 1610

∼£100

Our view

The Einhell MSS 1610, model 4310615, is listed at £99.99 with 4.7 from 1,809 reviews and a bestseller rank of 4 in Power Tools Stands. The listing weight is 12.5 kg, the frame is aluminium, and the bullets state a mounting-bracket extension of up to 455 mm plus pull-out supports with rollers. The listing has no kilogram load. Einhell’s manual states 100 kg including the machine and the material, the UK product page states a working height of 845 mm, and the manual limits the frame to Einhell saws with M8 nuts, with no safety responsibility for other brands. That manual also says the stand is not designed for commercial or trade use. UK reviews report pull-out arms that sit off the table height, and one review says a leg pin snapped after light use that included a shed build. The wheels on the listing are workpiece rollers, not transport castors. Buy it with an Einhell saw and the manual’s 100 kg cap in mind.

Pros

  • 4.7 from 1,809 reviews and rank 4 in Power Tools Stands
  • Aluminium frame at 12.5 kg and £99.99
  • Mounting span stated up to 455 mm
  • Pull-out supports with workpiece rollers
  • Two-year warranty on the listing

Cons

  • No kilogram load on the amazon listing
  • The manual limits the frame to Einhell saws and excludes commercial use
  • UK reviews report arms off table height, and one snapped leg pin
  • The listed wheels are timber rollers, not transport wheels

Best for: You own an Einhell mitre saw and want an aluminium underframe with a stated mounting span.

Less suitable: You need a load printed on amazon, transport wheels, or a stand the manual allows for a DeWalt or Makita.

Einhell MSS 1608

Rank 4

Einhell MSS 1608

∼£70

Our view

The Einhell MSS 1608, model 4310614, is listed at £70.00 with 4.6 from 208 reviews, a stand weight of 9.5 kg, and bullets that say the underframe folds. The pull-out supports are height-adjustable and carry castors, which on this frame are workpiece rollers. The listing has no kilogram load, and a listing question that asks for the maximum weight goes unanswered in the capture. Einhell’s English sheet states 80 kg including the device and the material, M8 nuts, and a steel base. The UK product page states a working height of 755 mm. The proper-use section matches the MSS 1610: Einhell saws only, no safety responsibility for other brands, and not designed for commercial use. UK reviews praise the fold, and they also report end supports that will not screw home. One UK review says it fits probably most saws. That is a user report, not a change to the manual. At £70 it is the light folding Einhell frame.

Pros

  • £70 and a listed stand weight of 9.5 kg
  • The underframe folds, with height-adjustable pull-out supports
  • 4.6 from 208 reviews
  • The manual states 80 kg including the saw and the material
  • Steel frame, and Einhell’s UK page states a 755 mm working height

Cons

  • No kilogram load on the amazon listing
  • The manual limits use to Einhell saws and excludes commercial use
  • UK reviews report end supports that will not lock
  • The listed castors are workpiece rollers, not transport wheels

Best for: You own an Einhell saw and want the lighter folding frame at about £70.

Less suitable: You need a load on the amazon card, transport wheels, or a manual that allows another brand.

Common questions

What load does the MSS 1608 listing state?

None. A listing question asks for the maximum weight, and the amazon.co.uk listing has no kilogram rating. Einhell’s English sheet states 80 kg including the device and the material.

Does the underframe fold?

The bullets say the entire underframe can be folded.

BORA PM-4000

Rank 5

BORA PM-4000

∼£70

Our view

The BORA PM-4000 is listed at £69.99 with a stated load of 226.8 kg, arms the bullets put at a total width of 2,895 mm, and a working height of 863 mm. The amazon.co.uk line is 4.5 from 4,077 reviews, and the stand weight on the listing is 12.3 kg. The bullets say it folds flat and uses quick-release mounts named for DeWalt, Makita, Evolution, Ryobi and Bosch. In the review sample, only 11 of the first 50 blocks carry a United Kingdom header, so the star line is not a thick UK-only sample. UK comments that are present talk about height and value; one calls the feel flimsy, and one says the extension ends clash with a Festool dust extractor. Wheels are not in the listing. BORA’s UK page sells a wheel kit separately, and that page also prints a 914 mm work height that does not match the 863 mm amazon bullet. In this set it is the top pick when you want the highest listed load at the lowest price and you will check the holes before you mount the saw.

Pros

  • Listed load 226.8 kg at £69.99
  • Arms to 2,895 mm, and the bullets say it folds flat
  • Quick-release mounts named for several common brands
  • Stand weight 12.3 kg on the listing
  • 4.5 from 4,077 reviews

Cons

  • Only 11 of the first 50 review blocks are headed United Kingdom
  • Wheels are not in the box; the wheel kit is a separate BORA UK part
  • One UK review reports a clash with a Festool dust extractor
  • Amazon height 863 mm and the BORA UK page’s 914 mm do not match

Best for: You want a folding stand with a high listed load and a low price, and you will check hole spacing before you bolt the saw on.

Less suitable: You need transport wheels in the box, or a Festool extractor that has to sit inside the extension ends.

Evolution Mitre Saw Stand Plus

Rank 6

Evolution Mitre Saw Stand Plus

∼£150

Our view

The Evolution Mitre Saw Stand Plus is listed at £149.98 with 4.2 from 71 reviews. The title says it is a compact folding stand with extendable arms and names Evolution, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo. It does not state a load or a length. Toolden’s UK page for this model states 300 kg, support to 4 m, a stand weight of 25 kg, a height from 615 mm to 840 mm, and wheels. That retailer page is not the amazon price or the amazon specification. A UK review says it folds and wheels away, and another describes it as a bit big to store. One UK review could secure the saw only with nuts and bolts, two of them hard to reach, and one review reports a missing locking pin. Seventy-one ratings are a thin sample beside 5,168 on the EVOMS1. Consider it only if you accept a title with no load and you will confirm the pin and the hole span on the unit in front of you.

Pros

  • The title names the same seven brands as the EVOMS1
  • Compact folding is in the title
  • A UK review says it wheels away
  • Toolden states 4 m and 300 kg, as a retailer page rather than the amazon title

Cons

  • £149.98 with no load and no length in the amazon title
  • 4.2 from 71 reviews
  • One UK review reports a missing locking pin and hard-to-reach nuts
  • The amazon listing has no weight, material or work height

Best for: You want the Plus title’s folding arms and will treat Toolden’s 4 m and 300 kg as a second source, not as the amazon card.

Less suitable: You need a kilogram figure on amazon, or a review sample in the thousands.

Draper 90249

Rank 7

Draper 90249

∼£104

Our view

The Draper 90249 is listed at £103.75 with bullets that state a 150 kg load, a beam from 1,067 mm to 1,657 mm, and support rollers for timber over 2 m. The stand weighs 13 kg, folds flat, and the bullets say sturdy wheels so you can move it with the mitre saw still fitted. The amazon.co.uk line is 4.2 from 29 reviews, and only three of the sampled headers are United Kingdom, so the sample is thin beside 5,168 on the EVOMS1. The bullets say the brackets suit most mitre saw makes. A review that is not from the UK said common brands did not match and that the sheet bent after extra holes were drilled. That is a warning, not a UK rate. There is no millimetre work height on the amazon listing. Choose it when stated wheels and transport with the saw fitted matter more than a large review count.

Pros

  • Bullets state 150 kg and transport with the saw fitted
  • Beam extends to 1,657 mm, with rollers described for timber over 2 m
  • Flat folding at a listed 13 kg
  • Quick-release mounting brackets
  • Lifetime warranty on the listing

Cons

  • 4.2 from only 29 reviews, with three United Kingdom headers in the sample
  • The beam reaches 1.66 m even where the roller line says timber over 2 m
  • A non-UK review reported a bent sheet after extra holes were drilled
  • No work height in millimetres on the amazon listing

Best for: You want stated wheels and a saw that stays fitted while you move the stand, and you accept a small review sample.

Less suitable: You need a large UK review count, or a beam that itself reaches 3 m.

The bullets say sturdy wheels and transportation with the mitre saw in situ.

How we compared

Shelf prices, stars and review counts are the amazon.co.uk listings captured for these seven stands on 19 October 2026. Load, length and fit that the amazon card leaves blank are taken from the named manufacturer page or manual, and they are labelled as such in the product text. There is no laboratory test. Scores on the listings combine stars, review count, listed load, length, fold, mount and price. The top pick and best value are the two awards already on those listings. The weights below follow the buying order for this page.

1

Mount and named fit

30%

The saw has to meet the holes. Universal titles name Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo. Einhell’s manuals limit the MSS 1608 and MSS 1610 to Einhell saws, with M8 nuts, and accept no safety responsibility for other brands. Bosch’s manual names Bosch benchtop saws, then selected saws from other manufacturers.

2

Rated load

25%

Use a figure that includes the saw and the material, and read what the number excludes. Einhell states 80 kg on the MSS 1608 and 100 kg on the MSS 1610, including the machine and the material. Bosch states 250 kg for tool plus workpiece without extensions, 150 kg with extensions, and 50 kg on each extension. The BORA listing says 226.8 kg. The EVOMS1 title and the Draper bullets say 150 kg.

3

Support length

20%

The EVOMS1 title says 3 m. Bosch’s manual gives an extended length of 3,877 mm. The BORA bullets put the arms at a total width of 2,895 mm. Draper’s beam is 1,067–1,657 mm, with rollers described for timber over 2 m. The Evolution Plus title states no length.

4

Roller height, fold and wheels

15%

Set supports level with the saw table, or a fraction below, and re-check after the arms lock. Transport wheels are not timber rollers. Draper states wheels and transport with the saw fitted. BORA lists no wheels. Bosch reviews say wheels are extra. The MSS 1610 wheels are workpiece rollers.

5

Price and review sample

10%

Captured prices run from £69.99 to £239.99. A large review count is not a safety test. The EVOMS1 is 4.7 from 5,168 reviews. The Draper is 4.2 from 29, and the Evolution Plus is 4.2 from 71. Those two samples are thin beside 5,168.

Mitre saw stand buying guide

Buy the fit before the shelf price. These seven amazon.co.uk stands were captured on 19 October 2026, from about £69.99 to about £239.99. A universal title is a list of brand names, not a guarantee that your base will meet the holes. Einhell’s manuals limit two of these frames to Einhell saws. No laboratory test was run.

What is a mitre saw stand?

A mitre saw stand is the metal frame you fasten a mitre saw to, so the saw stays put and long timber is supported on either side of the cut. In the UK it is bought by people fitting skirting, architrave, decking and studs, and by anyone who is tired of a Workmate or a bench that lets one end of the board drop. This comparison keeps seven amazon.co.uk stands and drops roller stands, sawhorses and a hand mitre box. The saw still needs a BS 1363 plug on 230 V.

Best for

  • DIYers cutting skirting or studs who will check hole spacing before they bolt the saw on
  • Owners of an Einhell mitre saw who will stay inside that brand’s manual and its stated load

Not ideal for

  • Anyone who needs transport wheels in the box and a review sample in the thousands on the same stand
  • A buyer who treats a universal title as proof that every mitre saw will fit

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Mixing stand weight with rated load

A 12.3 kg BORA frame is not a 12.3 kg capacity. The bullets rate that stand at 226.8 kg. The Bosch item weight is 24.4 kg. The manual’s 250 kg figure is tool plus workpiece without extensions, not the weight of the bench and not 250 kg of timber on the arms.

  2. 2

Reading timber rollers as transport wheels

The MSS 1610 and MSS 1608 list wheels or castors on the pull-out supports. Those are workpiece rollers. Draper is the stand in this set whose bullets say you can move it with the mitre saw still fitted. BORA and Bosch do not include transport wheels.

  3. 3

Trusting a universal title before the base is in front of you

Named brands are a starting list. Einhell’s manuals limit two frames to Einhell saws. Evolution’s shop page prints two hole spacings for the EVOMS1 and excludes two of its own saws. Set rollers level with the saw table, or a fraction below, and re-check after the arms lock.

What to weigh up

Mount, fit and rated load

High

The saw must meet the holes, and the load figure must say what it includes. Universal titles in this set name Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo. That list is not a fit. Einhell’s manuals limit the MSS 1608 and MSS 1610 to Einhell saws, with M8 nuts, and they accept no safety responsibility for other brands. Those manuals also say the stands are not designed for commercial or trade use. The MSS 1608 sheet states 80 kg including the device and the material.

Length, roller height, fold and wheels

High

Long trim needs a stated support, and the supports have to sit level with the saw table, or a fraction below. The EVOMS1 title says 3 m. Bosch’s manual gives 3,877 mm extended and a height of 824 mm. The BORA bullets put the arms at 2,895 mm and the working height at 863 mm. BORA’s UK page prints 914 mm, so those two heights do not match. Draper’s beam runs from 1,067 mm to 1,657 mm, with rollers described for timber over 2 m, which means the beam itself is shorter than the timber line.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Skirting and a large UK sample

You are cutting skirting or similar long trim and you want a folding stand around £75 with a stated 3 m support. The Evolution EVOMS1 is best value at about £74.99, at 4.7 from 5,168 reviews, and every sampled review block is headed United Kingdom. The title names seven brands. You still check the holes, and the shop page excludes the S355MCS and S355CPS.

You own an Einhell mitre saw and you want the aluminium underframe with a stated mounting span. The MSS 1610 is about £99.99, at 4.7 from 1,809 reviews, with brackets to 455 mm. The manual states 100 kg including the machine and the material, limits the frame to Einhell saws, and says it is not designed for commercial use. The listed wheels are workpiece rollers.

The listing does not state weight, wheels or the mount. Evolution’s UK shop states 15.5 kg and a quick-release, and it excludes the S355MCS and S355CPS. One UK reviewer needed longer bolts for a Worx saw.
How much does a mitre saw stand cost on amazon.co.uk?
In this set, captured on 19 October 2026, prices run from £69.99 to £239.99. The BORA PM-4000 is £69.99, the Einhell MSS 1608 is £70, and the Evolution EVOMS1 is £74.99. The Einhell MSS 1610 is £99.99 and the Draper 90249 is £103.75. The Evolution Plus is £149.98. The Bosch GTA 3800 is £239.99. A rule of thumb from these rows is about £70–£105 for a portable stand, about £100–£150 for a step-up, and about £240 for this Bosch. Prices were not rechecked live after that capture.
Will a universal mitre saw stand fit every saw?
No. Universal titles in this set name Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo, and you still check hole spacing and bolt length before you drill a bracket. Einhell’s manuals limit the MSS 1608 and the MSS 1610 to Einhell saws, with M8 nuts, and they accept no safety responsibility for other brands. Bosch’s GTA 3800 manual names Bosch benchtop saws and then selected saws from other manufacturers. Evolution’s shop page says the EVOMS1 is not for the S355MCS or S355CPS, and it prints two different hole spacings.
What load should you use for a mitre saw stand?
Use a figure that includes the saw and the material. The BORA listing says 226.8 kg. The EVOMS1 title and the Draper bullets say 150 kg. Einhell states 80 kg for the MSS 1608 and 100 kg for the MSS 1610, including the machine and the material. Bosch’s manual states 250 kg without extensions, 150 kg with them, and 50 kg on each extension. That is not 250 kg of timber on the arms. Stand weight is not the rated load.
Are the wheels for moving the stand?
Only if the listing says they are transport wheels. Draper’s bullets say sturdy wheels and transportation with the mitre saw still fitted, at a stand weight of 13 kg. On the Einhell MSS 1610 and MSS 1608, the listed wheels and castors are workpiece rollers, not castors for rolling the frame. The BORA listing has no wheels. Bosch’s bullets do not include wheels, and UK reviews say wheels are a separate purchase. Set timber rollers level with the saw table, or a fraction below.
When should you stop and call a professional?
Stop if you cannot lift the saw safely, if the only way on is to drill a thin bracket or the saw’s base, or if the guard or brake is the real fault. At work, PUWER 1998 regulation 20 requires an employer to stabilise work equipment by clamping or otherwise where safety needs it. If employees will use the setup and you do not own that assessment, stop. The stand does not guard the blade. The saw itself is a separate page: the mitre saw comparison.

Our verdict

The top pick is the BORA PM-4000 at about £69.99. The bullets rate it at 226.8 kg, with arms to 2,895 mm, a fold, and quick-release mounts, at 4.5 from 4,077 reviews. Wheels are a separate kit, and the UK share of the sampled reviews is thin. Best value is the Evolution EVOMS1 at about £74.99. The title states 150 kg and 3 m, and amazon.co.uk shows 4.7 from 5,168 reviews with a United Kingdom header on every sampled block. The listing itself does not state weight, wheels or the mount. Check the holes on either stand before you drill a bracket.
