Universal mitre saw stand

The amazon title says the stand fits DeWalt, Makita, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo, and the Einhell manual says Einhell saws only. A universal mitre saw stand is the right buy when the holes and the bolts meet the saw in front of you. The Einhell frame is the right buy only with an Einhell saw, because the manual refuses other brands. This page is that choice, with one condition. What the universal titles actually list

The EVOMS1 title and the Evolution Plus title name Evolution, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, Einhell and Metabo. The BORA PM-4000 bullets name DeWalt, Makita, Evolution, Ryobi and Bosch. Draper says most mitre saw makes. The MSS 1608 and MSS 1610 rows do not name a fit. A list is not a hole measurement. One UK review needed longer bolts for a Worx saw on the EVOMS1, and Worx is not in that title. Evolution's UK shop excludes the S355MCS and S355CPS, and it prints 680 × 370 mm in the body and 680 × 330 mm in the table. Do not pick one span. When the stand is matched

Einhell's manuals for the MSS 1608 and the MSS 1610 say the frames are for Einhell saws, with M8 nuts, and they accept no safety responsibility for other brands. The MSS 1608 manual states 80 kg including the device and the material. Amazon says 9.5 kg and £70.00, with no kilogram load. Einhell's UK page says steel, 755 mm and £82.95. The MSS 1610 manual states 100 kg. The UK page says aluminium, 845 mm, a span up to 455 mm and £115.95. Amazon is £99.99 and 12.5 kg, with the same span and no kilogram load. Both manuals exclude commercial, trade and industrial use.

What Bosch allows

Bosch's GTA 3800 manual lists Bosch benchtop models, then says selected mitre saws from other manufacturers can be installed. Selected is not every saw on a universal title. Without the extensions, the manual allows 250 kg for the tool plus the workpiece. With the extensions fitted, the holder sets are 150 kg, and each extension is 50 kg. That is not 250 kg of timber on the arms. The amazon listing at £239.99 prints none of those figures. The US page, with wheels and a length in feet, is a different market. Do not use it as the UK listing.

The choice, with one condition

If the saw is an Einhell, use the MSS 1608 or the MSS 1610 and stay inside the manual: M8 nuts, Einhell only, 80 kg or 100 kg from the manual, and no commercial use. The 1608 is the lighter folder at £70.00 and 9.5 kg. The 1610 is the aluminium frame at £99.99 with a 455 mm span. If the saw is any other brand, do not put it on the Einhell frame. Use a universal title only after the holes and the bolts meet the base in front of you. The GTA 3800 is the aluminium bench if you will live with that load split. Common questions

Can you put a DeWalt or Makita on an Einhell MSS 1608 or MSS 1610?
The manuals say no. Both frames are for Einhell saws, with M8 nuts, and Einhell accepts no safety responsibility for other manufacturers. A UK review that says the MSS 1608 fits probably most saws is a user report, not a change to that page. If the saw is a DeWalt or a Makita, use a universal stand only after the holes meet, not the Einhell frame.
Which saws does Bosch say the GTA 3800 is for?
The manual lists Bosch benchtop models, then says selected mitre saws from other manufacturers can be installed. Selected is narrower than a universal brand list. The amazon bullets do not name your saw. The US page that mentions wheels is a different market and is not this UK listing. Check the mounts on the bench you have, and treat selected as a limit.
What is the Bosch load once the extensions are out?
With the extensions fitted, the manual allows 150 kg on the holder sets, and 50 kg on each extension. The 250 kg figure is the tool plus the workpiece without extensions. It is not 250 kg of timber on the arms. None of those figures is printed on the amazon bullets for the £239.99 listing. Read them as the manual, and keep them off the amazon card.
What bolt size does Einhell specify?
M8. Both the MSS 1608 and the MSS 1610 manuals specify an M8 mounting nut. If the holes in your saw are a different diameter, the nut will not make it a fit. The MSS 1610 listing also states a mounting-bracket extension of up to 455 mm. That span is not a promise that a non-Einhell base will land on the brackets.
What should you do before you drill a bracket?
Put the saw on the mounts and see whether the holes and the bolt length already meet. If they do, you do not need to drill. If they do not, drilling a thin bracket or the saw's base is the point to stop. A review that is not from the UK reported a Draper sheet that bent after extra holes were drilled. That is a warning, not a UK failure rate, and it is not a method.
