How long the board is

UK merchants do not sell one length of skirting. TradeCalculator and MDF Skirting World list 2.4 m, about 3 m or 3.05 m, and 4.2 m. Read the length on the bundle. A 2.4 m board and a 4.2 m board are different support jobs. Architrave on that kind of page is stocked at 2.44 m, 3.05 m and 4.2 m. A 2.44 m door set can sit inside a stand whose title says 3 m. A 4.2 m architrave cannot, unless you accept overhang or you cut it down first. The stand does not know the word skirting. It knows how far the arms reach.

Floor space for the board you bought

A 4.2 m board needs a clear line through the room, not just a stand in the middle. One UK site suggests about 2 m clear on each side of a 4.2 m board. That is that site's estimate, not a measurement of these stands and not a regulation. A terrace hallway often cannot offer that line. What these stands state

On the amazon cards, the EVOMS1 title says 3 m and 150 kg. The BORA PM-4000 bullets say 2,895 mm and 226.8 kg. The Draper beam runs from 1,067 mm to 1,657 mm, and a separate bullet describes rollers for timber over 2 m. The beam is 1.66 m. The roller sentence does not make it 3 m, and the wheels do not add length. A centred 2.4 m board sits inside 3 m and inside 2,895 mm. A 3.05 m board is already over 2,895 mm. A 4.2 m board is longer than both. Bosch's manual gives 3,877 mm extended, and Toolden states 4 m for the Evolution Plus. Neither figure is on the amazon title, and neither reaches 4.2 m.

When the board is longer than the arms

If the board is longer than the stated support, the extra length hangs past the roller. You hold it, you add another rest, or you cut the board shorter before the mitre. One UK review of the EVOMS1 mentions a 4.2 m length. That review does not raise the title from 3 m to 4.2 m. If the board still bows with the arms fully out, the stated length is already used up. Re-locking an arm fixes a dropped support. It does not turn 2.9 m into 4.2 m. Health and Safety Executive sheet WIS16, which is about circular saw benches, says long workpieces need support. What lengths do UK skirting boards come in?
Common stocked lengths are 2.4 m, about 3 m or 3.05 m, and 4.2 m, from TradeCalculator and MDF Skirting World. Merchants also sell 3.6 m, 4.5 m, 4.8 m and 5.49 m. Architrave on the same kind of page is stocked at 2.44 m, 3.05 m and 4.2 m. Not every board is 4.2 m. Read the length on the bundle you are buying before you judge the stand.
Which of these stands states a support of 3 m or more?
On the amazon cards, the Evolution EVOMS1 title states 3 m. The BORA PM-4000 states 2,895 mm, which is just under 3 m. The Draper beam stops at 1,657 mm. Bosch's manual states 3,877 mm extended, and Toolden states 4 m for the Evolution Plus. Those last two figures are not on the amazon titles. A 4.2 m board is longer than 3 m, longer than 3,877 mm, and longer than 4 m.
Can you cut a 4.2 m board on a 3 m stand?
You can only cut it if you support the length that hangs past the stated 3 m, or you cut the board down first. The EVOMS1 title does not become 4.2 m because one UK reviewer mentioned skirting a house at that length. Overhang is extra timber you must hold. If the tail pulls the stand, or you cannot support the offcut, stop rather than treating the review as a new capacity.
Is a roller for timber over 2 m the same as a 2 m beam?
No. Draper's bullets say the beam extends to 1,657 mm, and they also say the rollers suit timber over 2 m. The beam figure is 1.66 m. The roller sentence does not stretch the beam to 3 m. Draper is the stand in this set that names both those rollers and transport wheels. The wheels move the stand. They do not lengthen the arms.
When should a carpenter cut the trim instead?
When you cannot support the offcut, when the only plan is to balance a 4.2 m board on arms that stop shorter than the board, or when you cannot lift the saw and the timber safely. The stand does not guard the blade, and a single review that mentions 4.2 m is not a rated capacity. A professional cut is the stop, not a longer interpretation of the title.
