A De'Longhi radiator is a portable oil-filled electric heater. It is not a central-heating radiator and it is not an infrared panel. You use one for a single room the boiler misses, or to top up a bedroom or a home office. Match the wattage to the room volume, then check for a thermostat and a timer, and use a BS 1363 plug in a sound wall socket. Radia S models use open fins and a Real Energy claim. The Nano is the 500 W unit for a very small space. How to match watts to room volume is set out in the [De'Longhi radiator buying guide](/hub/heating/de-longhi-radiator/sub/de-longhi-radiator-buying-guide). An element warms sealed oil, the fins warm the air, and the casing can stay warm after you switch it off. You want a thermostat and, on most models, castors, rather than a noisy fan heater.

The best De'Longhi radiators in detail

De'Longhi Radia S TRRS0920E.G

Rank 1

De'Longhi Radia S TRRS0920E.G

∼£133

Our view

The grey Radia S TRRS0920E.G sits at £132.99 with 4.6 stars from 176 amazon.co.uk reviews, the strongest star line among the 2 kW electronic rows here. Reviewers often heat a spare room or bedroom without fan noise, and several describe an easy digital timer in half-hour steps up to 24 hours. One UK review says useful heat lingered for almost 50 minutes after switch-off, which matches how oil-filled units coast. At 10.64 kg with folding castors it is lighter on paper than the 15 kg Dragon 4 listings, and wheels come up when people move it into a bedroom. The bullets claim Real Energy, ECO Plus and rooms up to 60 m³. Smell is mentioned more often in this sample than on the Dragon 4 Pro file, a minority of first-50 reviews mention leaks, and running cost still gets noticed even when the thermostat cycles.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 176 reviews, highest stars among the 2 kW picks
  • Digital timer, ECO Plus and anti-frost in the bullets
  • 10.64 kg with pre-assembled folding castors and a handle
  • £132.99 with 60 m³ stated coverage at 2000 W

Cons

  • New smell comes up often in UK reviews
  • A minority of reviews mention oil leaks
  • Set temperature needs trial and error according to reviewers
  • Plug profile field says wall mount while bullets describe a floor radiator

Best for: A bedroom or home office where you want a 2 kW oil-filled radiator with a digital timer and lighter weight than a Dragon 4

Less suitable: A large draughty space that needs 2500 W, or anyone who cannot tolerate first-week smell reports

Is it a wall heater?

A listing field says plug profile wall mount. The bullets describe a floor radiator on castors.

De'Longhi TRNS0505M

Rank 2

De'Longhi TRNS0505M

∼£83

Our view

At £82.99 the TRNS0505M is the 500 W Nano in this set, with 4.5 stars from 2,570 amazon.co.uk reviews and a listing coverage field of 6 m². Reviewers often describe a study, utility or small bedroom rather than a lounge, and several call it quiet next to a fan heater. One UK review timed a cold 19 m³ kitchen moving from 7 °C to 17 °C in about an hour and a half, which sets expectations for a small space, not a whole flat. The bullets list an adjustable thermostat and anti-frost but not a timer, so you switch it or rely on the stat alone. Warm-up is repeatedly called slow, and more than one buyer reports failure after about two years. If you stand it against the socket, reviewers warn the body gets hot near the plug.

Pros

  • 4.5 from 2,570 reviews, the largest sample here
  • 5.5 kg with carry handles for a box room or utility
  • Adjustable thermostat, anti-frost and overheat protection in the bullets
  • Lowest shelf price in this comparison at £82.99

Cons

  • 500 W and 6 m² coverage — wrong choice for a large or draughty room
  • No timer claimed in the product bullets
  • Slow warm-up and surface heat if it sits too close to the socket
  • Electrical failure after about two years appears in more than one review

Best for: A very small room, study or utility where you accept one heat setting and will not expect lounge output

Less suitable: A lounge, landing or any room where reviewers say 500 W cannot keep up

Common questions

Does the TRNS0505M listing include a timer?

The product bullets do not claim a timer. They list a 500 W output, an adjustable room thermostat, anti-frost and overheat protection.

What room size does the listing state?

The heating coverage field says 6 m². UK reviews describe small rooms, a study and a utility, not a lounge.

How much does it weigh?

The listing says 5.5 kg and large carry handles. The centimetre item-dimension field is not shown here because it conflicts with that weight.

De'Longhi Dragon 4 TRD41025T

Rank 3

De'Longhi Dragon 4 TRD41025T

∼£266

Our view

The white Dragon 4 TRD41025T is the mechanical 2500 W listing at £266 with 4.5 stars from 1,854 reviews and bullet power steps of 1100 W, 1400 W and 2500 W. UK reviewers often use it in large or draughty rooms, on landings and where high ceilings matter, and several say the thermostat cycles so bills stayed reasonable compared with running flat out. The product bullets do not claim a timer, yet reviews describe a manual timer and a small manual or timer switch, so check the panel in the box rather than the bullet list alone. At 18 kg with wheels it rolls but reviewers still call it very heavy to lift. New smell, creaking and ticking from the mechanical timer appear, then fade for many buyers. The coverage field says 75 meters without square metres or cubic metres, which is not a room-size guide.

Pros

  • 2500 W with three named power steps and chimney effect in the bullets
  • 4.5 from 1,854 reviews with praise for large-room heat
  • Pre-assembled wheels and carry handle stated
  • 10 year warranty line on the listing

Cons

  • £266 — highest price in this comparison
  • Timer only described in reviews, not in the bullets
  • Very heavy at 18 kg; smell and mechanical timer noise at first
  • Coverage field says 75 meters, not m² or m³

Best for: A large room, landing or draughty space where you want mechanical 2500 W Dragon 4 heat and accept manual timer quirks

Less suitable: Shoppers who need timer features confirmed in the bullets, or who want the lightest 2 kW Radia S instead

Common questions

What power steps are in the bullets?

Minimum 1100 W, medium 1400 W and maximum 2500 W, with a chimney-effect claim.

Does the bullet list include a timer?

No. UK reviews describe a manual timer and a manual or timer switch.

What coverage text is on the listing?

De'Longhi Dragon 4 Pro TRDX41025E

Rank 4

De'Longhi Dragon 4 Pro TRDX41025E

∼£219

Our view

The Dragon 4 Pro TRDX41025E is the 2500 W step at £218.98 with 4.5 stars from 1,710 amazon.co.uk reviews, the main large-room pick in this set on evidence volume. Reviewers often describe strong heat, including ECO dropping to a lower step once a large living room is warm, and several call the build sturdy with a clear LED panel. Three heat settings up to 2500 W, a 24-hour digital timer and anti-frost are in the bullets, with pre-assembled rubberised wheels. The item-dimension field prints 6.3 × 26.2 × 22.6 cm and 1.9 kg, which conflicts with the bullet size of 57.5 × 16.0 × 66.5 cm, so ignore that field for weight and footprint. Controls are called unusual in some reviews, smell at maximum power appears, and cosmetic dents on delivery show up in the sample.

Pros

  • 2500 W maximum with three settings and ECO in the bullets
  • 4.5 from 1,710 reviews, largest sample among the Dragon 4 rows
  • 24-hour digital timer and LED display stated
  • 10 year guarantee line and rubberised wheels in the listing

Cons

  • Highest sensible wattage here also means higher running cost at full power
  • Item-dimension and weight fields are not credible
  • Controls described as unusual in UK reviews
  • 807.3 square feet coverage field is not the same unit as 60 m³ rows

Best for: A larger or colder room where 2000 W rows feel short and you want Dragon 4 Pro output with a digital timer

Less suitable: A small bedroom that only needs 500 W or 2000 W, or tight budgets below £170

Common questions

What output do the bullets state?

Up to 2500 W with three heat settings, a digital panel, a 24-hour timer, anti-frost and ECO.

Which size figure should you use?

The bullets say 57.5 × 16.0 × 66.5 cm. The item-dimension field says 6.3 × 26.2 × 22.6 cm and 1.9 kg, which is not used as the product size.

How does it move?

The bullets say pre-assembled rubberised wheels.

De'Longhi Dragon 4 TRDSX40820E.WB

Rank 5

De'Longhi Dragon 4 TRDSX40820E.WB

∼£171

Our view

The Dragon 4 TRDSX40820E.WB is £171 for 2000 W with chimney fins, an electronic timer from 0 h to 24 h and ECO Plus in the bullets, and amazon.co.uk shows 4.5 from 634 reviews. Several opening UK reviews match the TRDX40820E listing, including text aimed at that model and at least one buyer who received a different wattage, so treat the star line as a mixed Dragon 4 electronic pool rather than a clean count for this ASIN alone. Reviewers who stay with the unit often praise thermostat hold and an ECO programme for a cooler night, and many compare the heat to central heating rather than a fan heater. The Amazon title says three fan settings while the bullets only describe 900 W, 1100 W and 2000 W steps, and nobody in the sample describes a fan. At 15.6 kg it is heavy but rolls on castors; smell, clicking and a fiddly timer until you read the booklet recur in criticism.

Pros

  • Chimney fin design with three stated power steps
  • Electronic timer and ECO Plus in the bullets
  • 60 m³ coverage stated at 2000 W
  • 4.5 from 634 reviews with praise for quiet running and castors

Cons

  • Shared opening reviews with B07TKMPXKX
  • Title mentions fan settings; bullets do not describe a fan
  • Heavy at 15.6 kg; timer called fiddly in reviews
  • At least one review reports a substituted wattage on delivery

Best for: A room up to the stated 60 m³ where you want Dragon 4 chimney heat and an electronic timer, and you will confirm the exact model in the box

Less suitable: Shoppers who need a review pool tied to one ASIN, or who wanted a fan because of the Amazon title

De'Longhi TRDX40820E

Rank 6

De'Longhi TRDX40820E

∼£175

Our view

The TRDX40820E listing is £174.99 for 2000 W with turn-and-push controls, a night setting and a timer in the bullets, and it shares the same 4.5 from 634 review opening as the TRDSX40820E.WB row. Reviewers describe holding a set temperature, programming ECO for much of the day, and heat that feels closer to a central-heating radiator than a fan unit. The coverage field prints 150 square feet rather than the 60 m³ line on the white and beige Dragon, and the mounting field mentions tabletop and wall while the bullets describe a floor oil-filled body at 15.5 kg. Bullets claim child secure wording and a low surface temperature, which is listing language, not a test result on this site. Criticism repeats heavy weight, a fiddly timer, misleading description comments, and warehouse substitution in one review.

Pros

  • Turn-and-push timer and night setting in the bullets
  • 2000 W with curved Dragon 4 body and 15.5 kg stated weight
  • 10 year guarantee line on the listing
  • Review themes match other 2 kW electronic Dragons for thermostat hold and quiet use

Cons

  • Same mixed review pool as B0DLHDSWBM
  • £174.99 — slightly more than the TRDSX40820E.WB row for similar feedback
  • 150 square feet coverage field instead of 60 m³
  • Mounting field conflicts with floor-radiator bullets

Best for: A living room or bedroom where you prefer turn-and-push Dragon 4 controls and will read the booklet for the timer

Less suitable: Anyone who wants the clearest 60 m³ wording on the listing, or who relies on review counts per ASIN

Common questions

Can it be wall mounted?

The mounting field says tabletop and wall. The bullets describe a floor oil-filled radiator with a curved body, 49.5 × 16.0 × 66.5 cm and 15.5 kg.

What do the bullets say about children?

They say child secure and a low surface temperature to avoid burns. That is a listing claim, not a test result.

150 square feet, and a maximum of 2000 W.

De'Longhi RadiaS Easytronic TRRSE0920

Rank 7

De'Longhi RadiaS Easytronic TRRSE0920

∼£120

Our view

The Radia S Easytronic TRRSE0920 is listed at £120 for 2000 W with electronic comfort modes from 14 °C to 28 °C and 360° castors. That is the cheapest 2 kW row in this table, but the amazon.co.uk listing file has no customer-review line and no review text, so stars and long-term faults are unknown here. The title says rooms up to 60 m² while a footnote limits an energy claim to a 45 m³ room at 22 °C, and the item-dimension field prints metre figures that do not match an 11.9 kg oil-filled body. The bullets name Easytronic modes and maker percentages versus other De'Longhi Radia-S mechanical models, not versus every heater in your house. Without UK shopper feedback you are buying from the listing alone, which is a different risk from the grey Radia S that shows 4.6 from 176 reviews.

Pros

  • Lowest 2 kW shelf price in this set at £120.00
  • Easytronic modes from 14 °C to 28 °C in the listing
  • 2000 W output with 360° castors stated
  • Maker energy and surface claims are spelled out, with footnotes

Cons

  • No amazon.co.uk review count or review text in the listing file
  • 60 m² title versus 45 m³ footnote room for the energy line
  • No timer named in the bullets
  • Item-dimension field is not a credible product size

Best for: A shopper who wants Radia S Easytronic modes at the lowest 2 kW price and will check the live page for reviews before buying

Less suitable: Anyone who ranks by amazon.co.uk review evidence first, or who needs a named digital timer in the bullets

Common questions

What room size does this listing claim?

The title says rooms up to 60 m². The energy-claim footnote uses a 45 m³ test room held at 22 °C. Those are different measures.

What does the 25 percent line refer to?

The listing limits it to a comparison with De'Longhi TRSS Radia-S mechanical models in that 45 m³ room at 22 °C.

Is there an amazon.co.uk review count?

The amazon.co.uk listing has no customer-review line and no review text.

How we compared

Seven amazon.co.uk listings are kept. The score uses the star line, the size of the review sample, whether the bullets name a timer, ECO and a clear room figure, and the shelf price against that kit. There is no lab test. A missing customer-review line scores as no sample. Shared opening reviews, a fan mentioned only in the title, a conflicting item size, and a coverage field in the wrong unit each cut the score. Weights sum to 100. The highest score is the top pick. Best value is a different listing: the 500 W Nano at about £82.99 with 2,570 reviews, for a very small room.

1

Amazon star line

30%

Stars come from the amazon.co.uk file for that ASIN. The block is the star rating divided by 5, then multiplied by 30. A listing with no customer-review line scores 0 in this block. The grey Radia S is 4.6 from 176. The Nano is 4.5 from 2,570. The Easytronic has no review line.

2

Review sample

25%

Under 10 reviews scores low. 10 to 199 reviews, 200 to 999, and 1,000 or more step up. The score is cut when the opening review text is shared with another ASIN in this set. The two Dragon 4 electronic rows share one 634-review opening, so that pool is not a clean count for either ASIN alone.

3

Controls and listing fit

30%

A timer named in the bullets, ECO or ECO Plus, three power steps, anti-frost or a safety thermostat, castors or carry handles, and a clear 60 m³ or an honest small-room figure all add points. A fan in the title only, a wall-mount field on a floor radiator, a conflicting item size, and a coverage field in square feet, 75 meters or 60 m² without the footnote room each cut the score.

4

Value

15%

Shelf price in GBP is read against the kit in the bullets. A full electronic 2 kW under £140 scores higher here than a 2.5 kW listing above £250 whose timer is only in the reviews. The 500 W Nano under £90 with a large review sample is best value for a very small room, not for a lounge.

De'Longhi radiator buying guide

A De'Longhi radiator here is a portable oil-filled heater for one room, not a radiator on a boiler. Match wattage to room volume first, then check whether the bullets name a thermostat and a timer. A star line does not turn 500 W into lounge heat, and a coverage field in the wrong unit is not a room-size guide. Prices and stars are from the amazon.co.uk listings read on 20 October 2026, unless a De'Longhi GB price is named. This is not a lab test.

What is a De'Longhi radiator?

A De'Longhi radiator in this comparison is a portable oil-filled electric heater. An element warms sealed oil, the fins warm the air, and the casing can stay warm after you switch it off. It is not a panel radiator on a central-heating boiler, and it is not an infrared panel. You use one for a single room the boiler misses, or to top up a bedroom or a home office for the evening. You want a thermostat and, on most models, castors, rather than a noisy fan heater. Wattage is the first split.

Best for

  • A bedroom or home office you heat for the evening, with a thermostat and castors
  • A box room or utility where 500 W is enough and lounge output is not expected

Not ideal for

  • A bathroom, or any room where you would dry clothes on the heater
  • A lounge bought on the Nano’s star rating, when the listing is 500 W

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Reading 60 m³ as 60 m²

Many 2 kW pages say up to 60 m³. At a 2.4 m ceiling that is about 25 m², as a rule of thumb. The Easytronic title says 60 m² and a footnote uses a 45 m³ test room. Those are not the same room.

  2. 2

    Buying 500 W for a lounge

The Nano has the largest review sample, 4.5 from 2,570, and the lowest price. The listing is still 500 W, with an Amazon coverage field of 6 m². Reviewers describe a study, a utility or a small bedroom.

  3. 3

Assuming every model has the same timer

The grey Radia S and the Dragon 4 Pro name a digital timer in the bullets. The Nano does not. The white Dragon 4’s timer appears in reviews, not in the bullets. Do not add an extra external timer. The instructions say not to.

What to weigh up

Room volume and wattage

High

Start with the room, not the star line. The Nano TRNS0505M is 500 W. De'Longhi GB states 15 m³. The amazon.co.uk coverage field says 6 m². Reviewers describe a study, a utility or a small bedroom. One UK review timed a cold 19 m³ kitchen from 7 °C to 17 °C in about an hour and a half. A 2 kW listing is the usual bedroom or home office step. Where the bullets say up to 60 m³, keep the cubic metres. As a rule of thumb, 60 m³ at a 2.4 m ceiling is about 25 m².

Timer, weight and where it must not go

High

A T suffix is usually a mechanical 24-hour pin timer. An E suffix is usually an electronic timer and a display. The grey Radia S names a timer from 0.5 h to 24 h. The Dragon 4 Pro names a 24-hour digital timer. The Nano bullets do not claim a timer. On the white TRD41025T the bullets omit the timer and UK reviews describe a manual one. Do not fit an extra external timer. The instructions say not to. The grey Radia S is 10.64 kg with folding castors.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Bedroom or home office

You heat one room for the evening and you want a thermostat, a digital timer and castors rather than a fan heater. The grey Radia S TRRS0920E.G is the top pick at about £132.99, with 4.6 from 176 reviews and a stated 60 m³ at 2000 W. It is lighter on paper than the Dragon 4 rows.

Box room or utility

You only need 500 W and you will not expect lounge heat. The Nano TRNS0505M is best value at about £82.99, with 4.5 from 2,570 reviews, a thermostat and anti-frost. The bullets do not claim a timer, and the Amazon coverage field says 6 m².

Larger or colder room

A 2 kW row feels short, and you can roll a heavier unit. The Dragon 4 Pro TRDX41025E is the 2500 W step at about £218.98, with 4.5 from 1,710 reviews, a 24-hour digital timer and ECO in the bullets. Ignore the item field that prints 1.9 kg.

Common questions about De'Longhi radiators

Which De'Longhi radiator is the top pick in 2026?
The top pick is the grey De'Longhi Radia S TRRS0920E.G at about £132.99. It has the highest listing score in this seven-model set, with 4.6 from 176 amazon.co.uk reviews, a digital timer, ECO Plus and a stated 60 m³ at 2000 W. It weighs 10.64 kg with folding castors. Best value is a different listing, the 500 W Nano at about £82.99, and only for a very small room. This is not a lab test. Smell, and a minority of leak comments, appear in the Radia S reviews.
How much does a De'Longhi radiator cost?
On these amazon.co.uk cards the shelf prices run from about £82.99 for the Nano to £266.00 for the white Dragon 4 TRD41025T. The Easytronic is about £120.00 and has no review line. The grey Radia S is about £132.99. The two 2 kW Dragon 4 electronic listings are about £171.00 and £174.99. The Dragon 4 Pro is about £218.98. De'Longhi GB listed the TRDX40820E at £219.99, above the amazon.co.uk card at £174.99. These are the figures in the files from 20 October 2026, not a live re-check.
What should you check before you buy a De'Longhi radiator?
Check room volume before the star rating. 60 m³ at a 2.4 m ceiling is about 25 m², as a rule of thumb. Do not read 60 m³ as 60 m². The Easytronic title says 60 m² and a footnote uses a 45 m³ room. Then see whether the bullets name a timer. An E suffix is usually electronic and a T suffix is usually a mechanical pin timer. The Nano bullets do not claim a timer. Ignore an item field that prints 1.9 kg.
Is a 500 W De'Longhi radiator enough?
The Nano TRNS0505M is 500 W. The amazon.co.uk coverage field says 6 m². De'Longhi GB states 15 m³. Reviewers describe a study, a utility or a small bedroom, not a lounge. One UK review timed a cold 19 m³ kitchen from 7 °C to 17 °C in about an hour and a half. That is a small space, not a whole flat. At about £82.99 with 4.5 from 2,570 reviews it is best value only when the room is that small. The bullets do not claim a timer.
Should you choose Dragon 4 or Radia S?
Dragon 4 uses chimney fins and three power settings, at 2 kW or 2.5 kW. Radia S uses open fins and a Real Energy claim. The grey Radia S is 10.64 kg, lighter than the Dragon 4 rows. Choose it for a bedroom or home office with a digital timer. Choose the Dragon 4 Pro at 2500 W when 2 kW feels short in a larger or colder room. A title that says fan settings is not a fan in the bullets.
Can you use a De'Longhi oil-filled radiator in a bathroom or overnight?
No. Dragon 4 instructions ban bathrooms, baths, basins, showers and pools, and they ban extension leads. Keep the heater upright, uncovered, and not directly under a socket. The instructions ask for at least 50 cm from furniture and say not to use it in a room under 4 m². Electrical Safety First advises about one metre from bedding and curtains, and advises against running a portable heater overnight. A star rating does not make overnight use beside a bed safe. If oil leaks, stop and contact De'Longhi.
When is a De'Longhi radiator the wrong product?
These seven are portable oil-filled heaters on a 13 A plug. They are the wrong product for a bathroom, for a fixed towel rail, or for a room that needs a boiler and panel radiators. A fan is not what the Dragon 4 bullets describe, even where an Amazon title says fan settings. If you want oil-filled heaters from other brands, use the oil radiator comparison. Call an electrician if the plug, socket or cable is discoloured or smells of hot plastic. A leak means stop and contact De'Longhi.

Our verdict

The top pick is the grey Radia S TRRS0920E.G at about £132.99. It has the highest listing score in this set, with 4.6 from 176 reviews, a digital timer, ECO Plus and a stated 60 m³ at 2000 W, at 10.64 kg. Best value is the Nano TRNS0505M at about £82.99, with 4.5 from 2,570 reviews, for a study or a utility rather than a lounge. Skip the grey Radia S if you need 2500 W or you cannot tolerate first-week smell reports. Skip the Nano if the room is a lounge or a landing.
