2 burner gas BBQ comparison 2026

The best 2 burner gas BBQs, compared.

Top pick: CosmoGrill black 2 burner with cover Best value: BROILUCK 2+1 burner – Best value as the lowest price that still scores at least 50, about £89.99. The ignition faults and the missing hose stay on the listing. Updated 22.10.2026.

Peter F.Editor

A 2 burner gas BBQ is an outdoor LPG barbecue with two main burners, so the two sides can run at different heats. UK buyers use one on a patio for a small household and step up when the grate will not hold the meal. You recognise a suitable one by the grate, separate controls, and the gas fitting. A side burner is a hob beside the grate, not a third grilling zone. The stated cooking area has to fit the body. Square metres on a tabletop are a conflict, not a bigger grill. Look for a lid, a removable grease tray, and a hose plus regulator matched to the cylinder. BS EN 498:2012 type-tests outdoor LPG barbecues. It is not a page score. Propane regulators are nominally 37 mbar and butane 28–30 mbar. Butane boils near minus 2 degrees Celsius, so a small outdoor barbecue is usually propane. Store cylinders outside, and do not light one indoors or on a balcony. The checks are in the [2 burner gas BBQ buying guide](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/2-burner-gas-bbq/sub/2-burner-gas-bbq-buying-guide).

The best 2 burner gas BBQs in detail

CosmoGrill black 2 burner with cover

Rank 1

CosmoGrill black 2 burner with cover

∼£130

Our view

The black CosmoGrill sits in the same compact class as the silver tabletop, listed at about £129.99 and about 45 × 45 × 34 cm, with a stated grate of 1,323 cm². The included list names a weatherproof cover plus a propane hose and regulator. The bullets say two burners at 2.2 kW each. The heating-power field says 4 kW and the wattage field says 4.4 kW, so the page does not give you one heat figure. The amazon.co.uk line is 5.0 from 1 rating. That single UK review calls it a great barbecue for the price, easy to control, and names no fault. One fault-free review is not a pattern you can set beside the silver CosmoGrill’s 121 ratings. The material field says Powered Steel, the finish is powder coated, and the handle and frame are listed as stainless steel. There is no item-weight line. Choose it when the cover is why you would pay about £10 more than the silver listing, and treat the 5.0 as one person’s note.

Pros

  • Propane hose, regulator, and a weatherproof cover are included
  • Stated grate of 1,323 cm² in a 45 × 45 × 34 cm tabletop
  • Bullets name two 2.2 kW burners and a one-handed piezo
  • The one UK review reports easy control and names no fault

Cons

  • 5.0 from 1 amazon.co.uk rating
  • Heating power says 4 kW and the wattage field says 4.4 kW
  • No weight is printed
  • The material field says Powered Steel, which is not a clear steel grade

Best for: You want the black tabletop with a cover in the same box and you accept a single review.

Less suitable: You are choosing by review count, or you need one agreed kilowatt figure on the page.

Common questions

Does the box include a cover?

Yes. Included components list a weatherproof cover, plus a propane hose and regulator.

What heat does the listing state?

The bullets say two burners at 2.2 kW each. The heating-power field says 4 kW and the wattage field says 4.4 kW. Both are printed. They are not averaged.

How many amazon.co.uk ratings are on the listing?

The listing line is 5.0 from 1 rating. That single UK review names no fault. One review is not the same record as 121 ratings.

CosmoGrill stainless 2 burner

Rank 2

CosmoGrill stainless 2 burner

∼£120

Our view

The CosmoGrill compact two-burner is listed at about £119.99 with 4.6 from 121 amazon.co.uk ratings, and the written reviews are marked United Kingdom. Two burners are stated at 2.2 kW each, 4.4 kW together, over a 1,287 cm² grate in a body of about 45 × 45 × 34 cm that weighs 10 kg. The included list names a propane regulator and hose, and several UK reviews say only the loose parts need fitting, which takes minutes. Cooks often call it solid for a tabletop, easy to light, and enough for a couple or a small family. One UK review says the sides are powder-coated steel rather than stainless all over, which cuts against the material field. Grease can collect in the body as well as in the tray, and one reviewer found the lid gauge inaccurate and the gas pipe very short, while another said the tubing was long enough. It is the top pick here because the star line, the UK review sample, and a hose in the box line up, not because every panel is proven stainless.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 121 amazon.co.uk ratings, with the written sample marked United Kingdom
  • Propane hose and regulator named in the included list
  • Two 2.2 kW burners and a stated 1,287 cm² grate on a 10 kg tabletop
  • UK reviews describe a short assembly and heat you can turn down

Cons

  • One UK review says the sides are powder-coated, not stainless all over
  • Grease can sit in the body rather than only in the tray
  • One reviewer called the lid gauge inaccurate and the hose very short
  • No side burner is stated

Best for: A patio table or a small store, when you want a reviewed two-burner with the propane hose already in the box.

Less suitable: You need a wheeled trolley, a side hob, or a body you can treat as stainless on every panel.

Common questions

Does this listing include a hose and regulator?

Yes. The included-components line says a propane regulator and hose.

How many burners does the listing state?

Two main burners, 2.2 kW each, 4.4 kW in total. No side burner is stated.

Is the whole body listed as stainless steel?

The material field says stainless steel. One UK review says the sides are powder-coated and that most, not all, of the body is stainless.

onlyfire stainless 2 burner

Rank 3

onlyfire stainless 2 burner

∼£189

Our view

The onlyfire stainless tabletop is listed at about £189.49 with 4.3 from 49 amazon.co.uk ratings, two burners at 4.7 kW, and a body of 52.7 × 35 × 36.7 cm weighing 14.4 kg. The bullet describes an 18 × 14 inch stainless grate, 252 square inches, plus folding legs, a locking cover, and a carrying handle. The specification field says 252 square metres, which is a different unit and not a grate you can cook on. Included components are a lid and a thermometer. A hose is not listed. Most of the written reviews are marked United Kingdom and praise a heavy stainless grate and straightforward assembly. Some texts say three-burner or griddle, so they may belong to another onlyfire model. One review reports weather damage after about three months under a tin roof, and another says the cooking surface bent after two uses. At about £189.49 it costs more than the CosmoGrill tabletops in this set, and the area units do not agree.

Pros

  • 4.7 kW stated, with 4.3 from 49 amazon.co.uk ratings
  • Bullet describes a stainless 18 × 14 inch grate, folding legs, and a carrying handle
  • Thermometer and lid are included
  • UK reviews that match a two-burner call the grate heavy and the build solid

Cons

  • Cooking area is 252 square inches in the bullet and 252 square metres in the field
  • Hose and regulator are not in the included list
  • About £189.49, above the other tabletops in this comparison
  • Some review texts name a three-burner or a griddle, and one reports a bent surface after two uses

Best for: You want folding legs and a stainless grate claim, and you will measure the grate on arrival rather than trust the square-metre field.

Less suitable: You need a hose in the box, or you would pay about £189.49 because 252 square metres looked like the cooking area.

Common questions

What cooking area should you trust?

The bullet says an 18 by 14 inch stainless grate, 252 square inches. The specification field says 252 square metres. Those units conflict. Do not average them.

Is a hose included?

Included components are lid and thermometer only. A hose is not listed.

Is it a tabletop?

The installation type says tabletop. Bullets add folding legs, a locking cover, and a carrying handle. Weight is 14.4 kg.

Campingaz Xpert 100 L

Rank 4

Campingaz Xpert 100 L

∼£125

Our view

The Campingaz Xpert 100 L is a wheeled two-burner trolley listed at about £124.99 and 7.1 kW, with 4.2 from 205 amazon.co.uk ratings. The bullets describe a chromed steel grate of 45 × 34 cm and about 1,500 cm², two folding side tables, a lid thermometer, and two wheels, at about 15.2 to 16 kg. The included-components line says lid only, so a hose and regulator are not listed, and a review marked Spain says you buy the hose and valve separately. The side-burner count says 2, while the bullets describe folding side tables rather than side hobs, and the listing does not settle that. None of the 50 written reviews is marked United Kingdom. They come from Belgium, Italy, and Spain. Those texts praise straightforward cooking and cleaning, and they also mention a bent part on arrival and one grill that stopped after a season when the reviewer says the seller did not honour the guarantee. Read 4.2 from 205 as the UK star line, and do not treat those 50 texts as British buyers.

Pros

  • 7.1 kW two-burner trolley with two wheels and folding side tables
  • 4.2 from 205 amazon.co.uk ratings
  • Lid thermometer and a 45 × 34 cm grate in the bullets
  • Listed country of origin Italy, with a two-year EU spare-part line

Cons

  • Hose and regulator are not in the included list
  • The side-burner count says 2 while the bullets describe side tables
  • The 50 written reviews are marked Belgium, Italy, and Spain
  • One review says it stopped after a season and the guarantee was not honoured

Best for: A small patio where you want wheels and a lid, and you will buy a UK hose separately.

Less suitable: You need a confirmed side hob, or you want the written reviews to be from UK buyers.

Common questions

Does this model have a side burner?

The side-burner count says 2. The bullets describe two foldable side tables, not side hobs. The listing does not settle which reading to follow.

Is a hose included?

The included-components line says lid only. A review marked Spain says the hose and valve are bought separately.

Campingaz Xpert 200 LS Plus

Rank 5

Campingaz Xpert 200 LS Plus

∼£225

Our view

The Campingaz Xpert 200 LS Plus is the heavy trolley in this set, listed at about £224.99 and 27 kg, with two main burners stated at 8.2 kW in the bullets and a side burner at 2.1 kW. The amazon.co.uk line is 4.0 from 106 ratings. Only two of the written reviews in the sample of 50 are marked United Kingdom. One of those says it cooks well and that lava rock is now hard to find in Britain. The other says it has been a decent barbecue for a couple of years, with lower build quality than older Campingaz models that reviewer remembers, and that a standard UK butane bottle does not fit between the shelf and the pan, so the bottle stays in view and the trolley is harder to move. The wattage field says 2,200 W, which conflicts with 8.2 kW. The bullet grate is enamelled cast iron at 54 × 34 cm, while the area field says 710 cm², and those two figures are not the same surface. Non-UK texts mention an igniter that does not always light first time, transit dents, and paint or chrome that rusts or peels. The included list names a lid, a rack, and a thermometer, not a hose. The score is 48, under the line for best value.

Pros

  • Two main burners plus a stated 2.1 kW side burner
  • Lava-stone system and an enamelled cast-iron grate of 54 × 34 cm in the bullets
  • 4.0 from 106 amazon.co.uk ratings
  • Two wheels and a lid thermometer on a 27 kg trolley

Cons

  • A UK review says a standard butane bottle does not fit the shelf
  • Heating power says 8.2 kW and the wattage field says 2,200 W
  • The 710 cm² field does not match a 54 × 34 cm grate
  • Hose not listed, and most written reviews are not marked United Kingdom

Best for: You want lava stones and a side hob on a trolley, and you can stand the cylinder beside it if the shelf is too tight.

Less suitable: You need the bottle hidden on the shelf, one heat figure, or a lighter barbecue you can lift.

Common questions

The listing does not give a shelf gap. One UK review says a standard UK butane bottle does not fit between the shelf and the pan.

Bullets say 8.2 kW for the two main burners. The wattage field says 2,200 watts. Both are printed. They are not averaged.

BROILUCK 2+1 burner

Rank 6

BROILUCK 2+1 burner

∼£90

Our view

The BROILUCK free-standing 2+1 is listed at about £89.99 with 3.5 from 71 amazon.co.uk ratings, two main burners plus a side burner, and 8,700 W on both the heating-power and wattage fields. The body is 50 × 105 × 85 cm and 14.7 kg, and the included list names controls, an electronic ignition, a temperature gauge, a side table, a front basket, and a drip tray. It does not name a gas hose or regulator, and UK reviews say you buy the pipe yourself. After assembly, some UK reviewers say it heats quickly and the food is acceptable for the money. The same UK texts also describe a faulty ignition switch, poor instructions for the ignition cables, screws that do not fit, and at least one missing lid that the seller later replaced. The cooking-area field says 7,000 cm², which is not credible against that body, so plan from the centimetre dimensions. It is the best value here only as the lowest price that still clears the score floor, and it is a weak buy if you need it to light on the first try.

Pros

  • About £89.99, the lowest price in this comparison
  • Stated 2+1 layout at 8.7 kW, with a side burner in the listing
  • 3.5 from 71 amazon.co.uk ratings, and some UK cooks are content once it is built
  • Temperature gauge, side table, and drip tray are in the included list

Cons

  • Gas hose and regulator are not in the included list
  • UK reviews describe a faulty ignition switch and screws that do not fit
  • The 7,000 cm² cooking-area field does not match a 50 × 105 cm body
  • Some UK orders arrived with a missing lid or other missing parts

Best for: You want the cheapest 2+1 in this set and you will buy a UK hose and test the ignition before the first cook.

Less suitable: You need a hose in the box, or you do not want to chase an ignition switch that UK reviewers say fails.

Common questions

It is not in the included-components line. UK reviews say you buy the gas pipe yourself.

Modern Group folding 2 burner

Rank 7

Modern Group folding 2 burner

∼£145

Our view

The Modern Group folding two-burner is listed at about £144.99, 13 kg, and 41 × 100 × 83 cm, with a title that names garden, camping, and caravan. The listing has no customer-review star line and no review texts, so there is no amazon.co.uk average to quote. No wattage and no cooking area are printed. The fuel line says a propane regulator is included. A hose on its own is not named. The included list is an electric starter, a lid, a thermometer, and a manual. The title does not say the barbecue is safe to light inside a caravan. Folding and a silicone handle described as cool-touch are stated on the listing. Without a star line, a grate size, or a heat figure, this row cannot be ranked against the CosmoGrill or the Campingaz trolleys on how it cooks.

Pros

  • Folding frame at 13 kg, with camping and caravan named in the title
  • Propane regulator included on the fuel line
  • Electric starter, lid, and thermometer are in the included list
  • A one-year warranty line is printed

Cons

  • No amazon.co.uk star line and no review texts on the listing
  • No stated heat and no stated cooking area
  • A hose is not named separately from the regulator
  • The caravan wording is not an indoor-use approval

Best for: You specifically want a folding two-burner and you will judge it in person, because the listing has no reviews to read.

Less suitable: You are comparing star ratings, grate size, or a confirmed hose-and-regulator kit.

The fuel line says gas, propane regulator included. A hose on its own is not named.

Is there a star rating?

The listing has no customer-review star line and no review texts. The comparison score for stars and review volume is 0.

Does the title mean you can use it inside a caravan?

The title names caravan among the uses. The listing does not say the barbecue is safe to light indoors. Cook outdoors only.

How we compared

Seven amazon.co.uk 2 burner gas BBQ listings were scored from 0 to 100 on 19 October 2026. Stars contribute up to 45, from round(stars divided by 5, times 45). Review volume contributes up to 20. A hose, a lid thermometer, an agreed heat figure, and an agreed grate contribute up to 22. Sentiment from the written reviews, UK texts first, contributes up to 13. Deductions cover a missing star line, a single rating, a written sample not marked United Kingdom, and specification conflicts, capped at 10 for conflicts. The top pick is the highest score. Best value is the lowest shelf price on a different listing that still scores at least 50. This is not a laboratory cook and it is not a BS EN 498 result.

1

2 burner gas BBQ buying guide

Two main burners with their own controls come before the star count. A side burner is a hob, not a third grilling zone. On this page the amazon.co.uk shelf prices on 19 October 2026 run from about £89.99 to about £224.99. A grate figure only counts when it fits the body. A hose in the box only counts when it matches the cylinder you will buy. A 4.6 from 121 ratings is a different record from 5.0 from 1 rating, and a listing with no star line cannot be ranked on how it cooks.

What is a 2 burner gas BBQ?

A 2 burner gas BBQ is an outdoor LPG barbecue with two main burners, so the two sides can run at different heats. UK buyers use one on a patio for a small household. You step up when the grate will not hold the meal. A side burner is a hob for a pan. It is not a third grilling zone. On the Campingaz Xpert 100 L the side-burner count says 2 and the bullets describe foldable side tables. Do not treat that field as a hob. The BROILUCK listing says 2+1.

Best for

  • A small household on a patio, with a tabletop or compact trolley and a propane fitting that matches the cylinder
  • A cook who wants a stated side hob and will measure the bottle shelf before trusting the photo

Not ideal for

  • Any cook indoors, in an awning, in a caravan, or on a balcony
  • A buyer who treats a square-metre cooking-area field, or one guest-count slogan, as the grate size

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

One guest count for every two-burner

Which? says about four to six. Dunelm agrees and puts three burners at about six to ten. Gardeners' World says a family of four. B&Q puts two to three burners at up to four. Those are rules of thumb. Step up when the grate will not hold the meal.

  2. 2

    Mixing propane and butane fittings

Patio propane is often a 27 mm clip, many red propane cylinders are POL, and standard butane is a 21 mm clip. Regulators are nominally 37 mbar for propane and 28–30 mbar for butane. Butane boils near minus 2 degrees Celsius. The fittings are not interchangeable.

  3. 3

Trusting a square-metre field, or the bottle in the photo

252 square metres is not an 18 by 14 inch grate, and 7,000 cm² does not fit a 50 × 105 cm body as one cooking area. A UK review of the Xpert 200 LS Plus says a standard butane bottle does not fit the shelf. Measure the gap. Do not light with the lid shut, and do not hunt for leaks with a flame.

What to weigh up

Burners, grate and stated heat

High

Each main burner needs its own control. A side burner is a hob beside the grate. The Xpert 100 L count says 2 and the bullets describe folding side tables, so that field is not a hob. The grate has to fit the body: CosmoGrill states about 1,287 cm² and 1,323 cm², the Xpert 100 L bullets say 45 by 34 cm, and conflicts such as 252 square metres or 7,000 cm² stay flagged rather than averaged.

Hose, regulator and where you light it

High

A hose and regulator in the box have to match the cylinder. CosmoGrill names a propane hose and regulator. The Modern Group fuel line names a propane regulator, not a separate hose. BROILUCK reviewers say the gas pipe was not included. Propane regulators are nominally 37 mbar and butane 28–30 mbar, and new regulators are marked BS EN 16129. Store cylinders outside, change them outdoors, turn the cylinder off first at the end, and use soapy water rather than a flame.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Patio for a small household

You want a tabletop or a compact barbecue with the propane fitting already named in the box. The CosmoGrill stainless 2 burner is about £119.99, at 4.6 from 121 ratings, with a propane hose and regulator listed and a stated 1,287 cm² grate. One UK review says the sides are powder-coated. There is no side hob.

A pan beside the grate

You want a stated side burner, which is a hob, not a third grilling zone, and you should measure the bottle shelf. The Campingaz Xpert 200 LS Plus states a 2.1 kW side burner and lava stones at about £224.99. A UK review says a standard butane bottle does not fit the shelf. The hose is not listed, and the score is 48, so it is not best value.

Folding frame, outdoors only

You want a folding two-burner for camping and you will still cook outdoors, not in an awning or a caravan. The Modern Group listing is about £144.99 and 13 kg, and the fuel line names a propane regulator. It has no star line, no stated heat, and no stated grate, so you would be judging it in person.

Common questions about 2 burner gas BBQs

Which 2 burner gas BBQ is the top pick for 2026?
The top pick is the CosmoGrill stainless 2 burner at about £119.99. It scores 92. The amazon.co.uk line is 4.6 from 121 ratings, the written reviews are marked United Kingdom, and the included list names a propane hose and regulator. Two burners are stated at 2.2 kW each over a 1,287 cm² grate. One UK review says the sides are powder-coated. That caveat stays. This is not a lab cook.
Which 2 burner gas BBQ is the best value?
The best value is the BROILUCK 2+1 at about £89.99. It is the lowest shelf price on a listing that still scores at least 50, and it is not the top pick. The line is 3.5 from 71 ratings. The hose is not in the included list, the 7,000 cm² field does not fit a 50 × 105 cm body, and UK reviews describe a faulty ignition. The badge is the price floor, not a reliability win.
How much does a 2 burner gas BBQ cost on amazon.co.uk?
On this 19 October 2026 snapshot the seven shelf prices are about £89.99, £119.99, £124.99, £129.99, £144.99, £189.49, and £224.99. Entry on this page is about £90 to £130. Mid is about £145 to £190. The top of this set is about £224.99. That is not the full UK range. Weber's GB site listed a two-burner Spirit E-210 at £499 including VAT, and that grill is not in this comparison.
What is a side burner on a 2 burner gas BBQ?
A side burner is a hob beside the grate, for a pan. It is not a third grilling zone. The BROILUCK listing says 2+1, and the Campingaz Xpert 200 LS Plus states one side burner at 2.1 kW. On the Xpert 100 L the side-burner count says 2 and the bullets describe two folding side tables. Do not treat that field as a hob. One UK review of the Xpert 200 says a standard butane bottle does not fit the shelf.
Should you use propane or butane?
Match the regulator to the cylinder. Patio propane is often a 27 mm clip, many red propane cylinders are POL, and standard butane is a 21 mm clip. Propane regulators are nominally 37 mbar and butane 28–30 mbar. Butane boils near minus 2 degrees Celsius, so outdoor cooking is usually propane. Calor points a grill of up to three burners at a 5 kg patio cylinder. Do not swap the fittings. New regulators are marked BS EN 16129.
Can you use a 2 burner gas BBQ indoors or on a balcony?
No. London Fire Brigade says never indoors, because of carbon monoxide, and not on a balcony. A title that names a caravan is not an indoor-use approval. GOV.UK says store cylinders outside, not under the stairs, change them outdoors, turn the cylinder off before the barbecue controls at the end, and test joints with soapy water, never a flame. If soapy water keeps bubbling, the hose is cracked, or you want a fixed gas pipe, Gas Safe Register says call an engineer.
How do you light a 2 burner gas BBQ and shut it down?
Connect the hose and regulator that match the cylinder, check the joints with soapy water, light outdoors with the lid open, and at the end turn the cylinder off before the controls. A lid thermometer reads hood air, not the meat. Do not light with the lid shut, and do not use a flame to hunt for a leak. The sequence is in the 2 burner gas BBQ use guide.
When should you look at a 3 burner gas BBQ?
When the grate on two burners will not hold the meal. Guest counts are a rule of thumb and UK guides disagree: about four to six, a family of four, or up to four people for two to three burners. Three burners are put at about six to ten in one shop guide. That is not a cook on these listings. The next comparison is the 3 burner gas BBQ comparison.

Our verdict

The top pick is the CosmoGrill stainless 2 burner at about £119.99. It scores 92: 4.6 from 121 amazon.co.uk ratings, written reviews marked United Kingdom, and a propane hose and regulator in the included list. One UK review says the sides are powder-coated, so the material field is not the whole body. The best value is the BROILUCK 2+1 at about £89.99, the lowest price that still scores at least 50. UK reviews describe a faulty ignition, the hose is not listed, and the 7,000 cm² field does not fit the body. That badge is the price floor, not a reliability win. The Campingaz Xpert 200 LS Plus scores 48, so it is not best value. None of these scores is a lab cook or a BS EN 498 pass.
