Gas BBQ comparison 2026

The best Gas BBQs, compared.

Top pick: Weber Q 1200N with stand – Highest listing score: 5.0 from 4 ratings times 20, with 2.93 kW and 1,290 cm² that agree. A thin review file, and not a family cart. Best value: Campingaz Party Grill 400 – Best value on the display award: 4.6 from 4,208 ratings at about £96.01, a cartridge camp stove rather than a patio-gas cart. Updated 22.10.2026.

A gas BBQ is an outdoor cooker that burns bottled gas or a small gas cartridge, rather than charcoal. In the UK you buy one for a garden, a patio or a campsite when you want a flame you can turn down without waiting for coals. It is not an indoor hob, and it is not a charcoal kettle. You tell a suitable gas BBQ apart by the site, the gas fitting and the burner count. A low-pressure garden cart usually needs a regulator matched to the cylinder: about 37 mbar for propane or patio gas, and about 28–30 mbar for butane. A cartridge grill uses a different fitting. Check whether a hose is in the box. One or two burners suit a small outdoor meal. Four or more suit a larger party. A lid thermometer, wheels and a cover matter once the cart stays outside. Do not barbecue on a balcony, indoors or in a tent. Matching the bottle, the millibar rating and the hose is set out in the [gas BBQ hose and regulator guide](/hub/grills-and-barbecues/gas-bbq/sub/gas-bbq-hose-and-regulator).

A gas BBQ is an outdoor cooker that burns bottled gas or a small gas cartridge, rather than charcoal.

The best Gas BBQs in detail

Weber Q 1200N with stand

Rank 1

Weber Q 1200N with stand

∼£389

Our view

The Weber Q 1200N with stand is listed at £389.00 with one 2.93 kW burner, a 1,290 cm² cooking surface, and a built-in lid thermometer, and those three figures agree across the listing. Amazon.co.uk shows 5.0 from 4 ratings, the highest star line in this set and also the thinnest sample. Porcelain-enamelled cast iron grates are stated, the weight is 19 kg, and the stand has side tables rather than a wheeled garden cart. The included line does not name a hose or a cartridge. On the Weber UK page this model is a direct-pressure EN 417 cartridge grill, so a 37 mbar patio regulator is the wrong fitting. A UK review says canisters last about three hours. It is the top pick on the scoring rule used here for a one-burner portable, and the wrong buy if you need a family cart with several burners.

Pros

  • 2.93 kW, 1,290 cm², and a lid thermometer agree across the listing
  • Porcelain-enamelled cast iron grates are stated
  • £389.00, and the four UK reviews are positive

Cons

  • Only 4 ratings on this listing
  • Hose and cartridge are not in the included list
  • One burner, so it is not a party cart

Best for: You want a one-burner Weber Q on a stand, fuelled by an EN 417 cartridge, and you accept a review file of four ratings.

Less suitable: You need several burners, a patio-gas bottle, or a star line built on hundreds of UK reviews.

Common questions

How many burners does this listing have?

One main burner, 2.93 kW, and a cooking area of 1,290 cm².

Is a gas hose in the included list?

No. The included line says barbecue grill. One UK review talks about gas canisters lasting about three hours.

How many amazon.co.uk ratings are on this listing?

5.0 from 4 ratings. One of those reviews says the unit was sold as used and arrived unused.

Campingaz Party Grill 400

Rank 2

Campingaz Party Grill 400

∼£96

Our view

The Campingaz Party Grill 400 is a one-burner camping stove at £96.01, rated 2,000 W, for a CV 470 cartridge or an R907 cylinder rather than a patio-gas bottle. On amazon.co.uk it sits at 4.6 from 4,208 ratings, the largest review sample in this set by a wide margin. The bullets describe a griddle, a grill grate, a pan support, a piezo ignition, and a carry bag, with detachable legs that pack into the body. The dimension field prints 12.6 × 12.2 × 15.7 cm while the bullet talks about a 36 × 42 cm stand, so you should plan from the stand and ignore the tiny field. One UK review says the cartridge named on the included line was not in the box, and another prefers the plates because the grill grid carbons up. Water in the cartridge well stops ignition until it dries, which is a campsite fault rather than a garden-cart fault. For a picnic or a boot it is the best value here, and the wrong object if you came for a wheeled 4+1.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 4,208 amazon.co.uk ratings
  • 2,000 W camp stove with griddle, grid, and pan support
  • Carry bag and piezo ignition are in the bullets

Cons

  • Included line and a UK review disagree on whether a cartridge is in the box
  • Grill grid carbons up in one UK review. Plates are preferred there
  • Water in the cartridge well stops ignition until it dries

Best for: You want a cartridge camp stove with a griddle and a large amazon.co.uk review sample, using a CV 470 or an R907.

Less suitable: You need a garden cart, a patio-gas bottle, or several burners for a family cook at home.

Common questions

What gas does this listing name?

The title says a CV 470 cartridge or an R907 cylinder. It is not a 37 mbar patio-gas cart.

Is a gas cartridge in the included list?

The included-components line names a gas cartridge. One UK review says no canister was in the box.

Does it need assembly?

The assembly-required field says no. The bullet says the legs detach and the parts fit in the body.

CosmoGrill 6+1 with cover

Rank 3

CosmoGrill 6+1 with cover

∼£300

Our view

The covered CosmoGrill 6+1 is listed at £299.99 with 4.5 from 366 amazon.co.uk ratings, and the title includes a 600D cover. It shares model number 93416 with the £289.99 row, at 39 kg, with six main burners, a side burner, and two castor wheels. The heat field says 2,000 W and 12,000 BTU while the bullet says 12 kW plus a 2.5 kW side burner and a 14.5 kW total line. The cooking-area field prints 3,214 cm² and the bullet prints a 77 × 42 cm grill, so keep both and cook to the bullet. Long-term UK reviews still call it a good cooker, with paint wear noted, and they say to buy the hose separately. The material field says stainless while the bullet says powdered steel. The cover is the reason to pay the extra £10, not a repair for the conflicting heat field.

Pros

  • 4.5 from 366 ratings
  • Cover is stated in the title and the bullet
  • Long-term UK reviews still call it a good cooker, with paint wear noted

Cons

  • Heat field says 2,000 W, which does not match the 12 kW bullet
  • Hose is not included
  • Material field says stainless while the bullet says powdered steel

Best for: You want the 6+1 with a 600D cover in the title and will buy the hose and live with powder-coated steel.

Less suitable: You need the hose included, a stainless body the bullet actually confirms, or a single kilowatt figure you can trust.

Common questions

Does this listing include a cover?

The title and the first bullet say a 600D Oxford cover. The included-components line only says user manual.

Is the hose included?

No. A UK review says to buy the regulator and hose separately.

How does this differ from B07TN7H7FC?

Same model number, 93416. This listing is £10 more and the title includes the weatherproof cover.

CosmoGrill Original 4+1

Rank 4

CosmoGrill Original 4+1

∼£200

Our view

The CosmoGrill Original 4+1 is listed at £199.99 and 22 kg, with four main burners, a side burner, a warming rack, and castor wheels. It carries 4.4 from 1,036 amazon.co.uk ratings, the largest cart sample in this set. The wattage field says 9.3 kW while the bullet names four 7.2 kW burners and a 2.1 kW side burner, so you should not merge those figures into one output. The cooking surface is printed as 1,952 cm², and the title includes a built-in lid gauge. Several UK reviews call it sturdy once built, often as a two-person assembly, and one review says the flame starts part-way along the grate rather than across the front. The hose and regulator are not on the included list. If you want the best-evidenced four-burner cart here and will add a patio hose, this is the row to open, though the heat lines still disagree.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 1,036 ratings, the largest cart sample in this set
  • 4+1 layout with a warming rack and castor wheels
  • Several UK reviews call it sturdy once built

Cons

  • Hose and regulator are not in the included list
  • Assembly is fiddly and often a two-person job
  • One review says the flame starts part-way along the grate

Best for: You want a 4+1 garden cart with the largest review sample in this set and will buy the hose yourself.

Less suitable: You need a hose in the box, or even heat all the way to the front of the grate without checking it yourself.

Common questions

Does the box include a regulator?

The included-components line names a lid and a rack. UK reviews say the gas pipe and regulator were not in the box.

How many burners are listed?

Four main burners and one side burner. The title says 5 gas burners, 4+1.

Which heat figure is on the listing?

The wattage field says 9.3 kW. The bullet names four 7.2 kW burners and one 2.1 kW side burner. The heating-power field says 31.75 British thermal units, which is left as printed.

CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1

Rank 5

CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1

∼£290

Our view

This CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 6+1, model 93416, is listed at £289.99 and 39 kg, with 4.4 from 269 amazon.co.uk ratings. The bullet describes a body about 149 cm long, six main burners, a side burner, and a total line of 14.5 kW, while the heat field copies 2.5 kW or 2,000 W. The cooking-area field says 77 cm² against a 77 × 42 cm bullet, so you should plan from the bullet. UK reviews say it cooks well after a long, poorly documented assembly. The included list is a user manual, not a hose. Piezo ignition and a lid thermometer are stated, with two castor wheels. The sister listing at £299.99 is the one whose title includes a cover. Open this row when you already own a cover and want the same model number for £10 less, and buy the hose separately either way.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 269 ratings
  • Large stated body, 149 cm long in the bullet
  • UK reviews say it cooks well after a long assembly

Cons

  • Heat field copies 2.5 kW or 2,000 W against a 12 kW bullet
  • Hose is not in the included list
  • No cover in this title. Assembly reviews are poor

Best for: You want model 93416 without paying for the cover bundle, and you already have a cover and a patio hose.

Less suitable: You want the cover in the title, a hose in the box, or a heat field that matches the 12 kW bullet.

Common questions

Is this the same model as the covered 6+1?

The model number is 93416, the same as B07TN7QXR8. This title does not include the weatherproof cover.

Which heat number is safe to quote?

None as a single total. The field says 2.5 kW and 2,000 W. The bullet says 12 kW plus a 2.5 kW side burner and a 14.5 kW total line.

What do UK reviews say about building it?

Instructions are hard to follow. Two people and about two hours is a repeated theme. Some reviews still call it sturdy once built.

CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 4+1

Rank 6

CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 4+1

∼£270

Our view

The CosmoGrill Pro Deluxe 4+1, model 93411, is listed at £269.99 with 4.3 from 910 amazon.co.uk ratings. The title includes a warming rack, a side burner, and a lid thermometer, and the wheels are four castors with a lock. The heat field says 2.5 kW while the bullet describes four 2.5 kW burners plus a 2.5 kW side burner, so the field reads as one burner copied into the total. The cooking surface is printed as 2,602 cm² and the weight as 16.6 kg. Some owners report it still going after a couple of years. UK reviews also describe misaligned holes and unclear instructions, and the included list does not name a hose. You pay more than for the Original 4+1, and you still have to read the bullet rather than the heat field.

Pros

  • 4.3 from 910 ratings
  • Warming rack, side burner, and a lid thermometer are in the title
  • Some owners report it still going after a couple of years

Cons

  • Hose is not in the included list
  • UK reviews describe misaligned holes and unclear instructions
  • Heat field and bullet do not match

Best for: You want a 4+1 with a long review file and locking castors, and you will assemble it carefully and buy the hose.

Less suitable: You want the heat field to match the bullet, or a hose already in the parcel.

onlyfire 2-burner tabletop

Rank 7

onlyfire 2-burner tabletop

∼£189

Our view

The onlyfire two-burner is a tabletop grill at £189.49 and 14.4 kg, with folding legs, a carrying handle, and 4,700 W on the wattage field. Amazon.co.uk shows 4.3 from 49 ratings. Stainless steel is stated for the grate, handle, and frame, and the included list names a lid and a thermometer. The cooking-area field says 252 square metres, which cannot be a grate, while the bullet says 18 × 14 inches and 252 square inches. The hose is not on the included list. UK reviews include weather marks after three months and a bent surface after two uses, and one gas-smell review also says three burners, so it may describe another model. It suits a small outdoor table if you accept a short review file and buy the regulator yourself.

Pros

  • Stainless steel stated for grate, handle, and frame
  • 4.3 from 49 ratings
  • Lid and thermometer are in the included list

Cons

  • Hose is not in the included list
  • UK reviews include weather marks after three months and a bent surface after two uses
  • One gas-smell review also says 3-burner, so it may be another model

Best for: You want a two-burner tabletop with folding legs for a small patio and will buy the hose separately.

Less suitable: You need a wheeled family cart, a trustworthy cooking-area figure, or a hose in the box.

onlyfire 3-burner grate

Rank 8

onlyfire 3-burner grate

∼£280

Our view

The onlyfire three-burner grate is a foldable trolley at £279.99 and 20.5 kg, with 7 kW that agrees on the field and the bullet. Amazon.co.uk shows 4.3 from 18 ratings. Stainless steel is stated for the frame and handle, and UK reviews praise the temperature control. The cooking surface is printed as 286 square inches, and a bullet also says 22 × 13 inches. The included line names only the lid, while a bullet mentions a regulator, so you should not assume the hose is in the parcel. One UK buyer expected a plancha because of the video and received bars instead. A bullet that names balconies is not permission to cook on one. It fits a wheeled three-burner grate you can fold, once you have confirmed the gas fitting.

Pros

  • 7 kW agrees on the field and the bullet
  • Stainless steel is stated for the frame and handle
  • 4.3 from 18 ratings. UK reviews praise temperature control

Cons

  • Included line is only the lid
  • One UK buyer wanted the hot plate from the video
  • Bullet names balconies. That is not permission to cook on one

Best for: You want a folding three-burner bar grate around 7 kW and will confirm the regulator is actually in the box.

Less suitable: You wanted the hot plate from the video, a hose you can see on the included line, or a balcony cook.

Common questions

Is this the plancha or the grate?

This listing is the grate. A UK review says the video showed a hot plate and the box contained a grill.

What does the bullet say about gas?

It mentions a regulator and prints 30 MPA, which is left as printed and is not treated as a UK millibar figure. The included line does not name a hose.

Does the heat figure conflict?

No. Field and bullet both say 7 kW for three burners. A 230 V field is also present and is left as printed.

CosmoGrill Emberr 6+1

Rank 9

CosmoGrill Emberr 6+1

∼£280

Our view

The CosmoGrill Emberr 6+1 is listed at £279.99 with six main burners, a side burner, a cabinet, and 4.0 from 30 amazon.co.uk ratings. It is the garden cart in this set whose included line names a propane hose and regulator. The heat field says 15.4 kW and the bullet says 12.3 kW plus a 3.2 kW side burner, which is closer than the rows that print 2,000 W against 12 kW, though it is still not one clean total. The dimension field and the bullet describe different bodies, and a cooking-area field of 77 cm² is not a usable grate beside a 77 × 34 cm bullet. Weight is 30.5 kg, with two 6 inch wheels and a built-in temperature gauge. One UK review says the warming rack will not stay fitted. If you want a six-burner cart that at least lists the hose, this is that row, with a small sample and a dimension conflict to check on arrival.

Pros

  • Propane hose and regulator are on the included line
  • Field and bullet heat totals are close, 15.4 kW against 12.3 plus 3.2
  • Side burner, cabinet, and a temperature gauge are stated

Cons

  • 4.0 from 30 ratings, a small sample
  • Dimension field and bullet disagree
  • One UK review says the warming rack will not stay fitted

Best for: You want a 6+1 cart whose included line names a propane hose and regulator, and you will check the body size on arrival.

Less suitable: You need a large review sample, or a listing whose dimensions and cooking area agree.

Common questions

The field says 45 × 45 × 34 cm. The bullet says 141 × 52 × 107.5 cm. Use the bullet for planning and keep the field visible.

What do the few UK reviews say about assembly?

Eight UK reviews. Some found it sturdy. One says there were no instructions. One says the warming rack keeps falling.

BROILUCK 2+1 burner

Rank 10

BROILUCK 2+1 burner

∼£90

Our view

The BROILUCK 2+1 is the lightest garden cart in this set, listed at 14.7 kg and £89.99, with two main burners and one side burner. Both heat fields print 8,700 W, so you cannot tell whether that figure is the whole barbecue or one burner copied into both boxes. The cooking-area field says 7,000 cm² while a bullet says 43 × 34 cm, and only the smaller figure can sit on a two-burner body. Across 71 amazon.co.uk ratings the line is 3.5, and UK reviews mention a faulty ignition switch, poor instructions, and a lid that was missing until the seller replaced it. A temperature gauge, side table, and drip tray are on the included list. The hose and regulator are not, so the first cook still needs a matching patio fitting. It is the lowest cart price here if you will buy that hose yourself, and the ignition complaints are why it is not the best value pick.

Pros

  • £89.99, the lowest cart price in this set
  • 2 main burners plus a side burner, both heat fields say 8,700 W
  • Temperature gauge, side table, and drip tray are in the included list

Cons

  • Hose and regulator are not in the included list
  • UK reviews report a faulty ignition switch and poor instructions
  • Cooking-area field of 7,000 cm² conflicts with the 43 × 34 cm bullet

Best for: You want the lowest-priced 2+1 cart in this set and will buy a separate hose and regulator.

Less suitable: You need a reliable igniter out of the box, or a grate large enough for a regular family cook.

TOV 6+1

Rank 11

TOV 6+1

∼£200

Our view

The TOV 6+1 is listed at £199.99 with six main burners, one side burner, and 12 kW printed on both heat fields. Amazon.co.uk shows 3.4 from 71 ratings. The bullet says the hose is not provided, four wheels and a lid thermometer are stated, and UK reviews describe gas leaking at the side burner. That leak is a reason to stop, not a reason to keep clicking the piezo. The cooking-area field is 850 mm² and a body-height field is 47.5 cm, and neither figure should be treated as the real grate or the real cart. There is no usable weight in the row. You should leave it if you will not pressure-test every joint before lighting, because the price does not offset that review pattern.

Pros

  • Listed 12 kW with six main burners and one side burner
  • 4 wheels and a lid thermometer are stated
  • £199.99

Cons

  • 3.4 from 71 ratings
  • Bullet says no hose. UK reviews add side-burner leaks
  • Cooking-area field is 850 mm² and the body height field is 47.5 cm

Best for: You already own a matching hose and will soap-test every joint, including the side burner, before any flame.

Less suitable: You want a first gas barbecue you can light without a leak review hanging over the side burner.

∼£170

Our view

The Campfire 4+1 is listed at £169.99 and 29 kg, with four main burners, one side burner, castor wheels, and 3.4 from 59 amazon.co.uk ratings. The heat field says 11.2 kW, while the bullet describes four 11.2 kW burners plus a 2.5 kW side burner, so those lines cannot be added into one total. The cooking surface is printed as 2,275 cm². A thermometer is on the included list, piezo ignition is stated, and the bullet says the hose and regulator are not included. UK reviews add missing side-burner connections and panels that arrived bent, though some owners are content once the cart is built. The brand field says Touch of Venetian while the title says Campfire, which makes the after-sales name harder to match. You might open it when £169.99 is the budget for a stated 4+1 and you will buy the hose and check every fitting before the first light.

Pros

  • £169.99 for a stated 4+1 layout
  • Thermometer is in the included list
  • Some UK reviewers are content once it is built

Cons

  • 3.4 from 59 ratings
  • Hose not included, and side-burner fittings missing in UK reviews
  • Dented or bent parts on arrival

Best for: You want a stated 4+1 cart around £170 and will supply the hose and inspect the side-burner fittings on arrival.

Less suitable: You want a hose in the box, a large review sample, or a listing whose heat lines agree.

Common questions

Is the hose included?

The bullet says the regulator and hose are not included. UK reviews repeat that, and some say the side-burner connections were missing too.

Which brand name is on the listing?

The title says Campfire. The brand field says Touch of Venetian. The manufacturer field says CAMPFIRE.

What heat figure should you use?

The field says 11.2 kW. The bullet says four 11.2 kW burners plus a 2.5 kW side burner. Those are not the same claim.

onlyfire 3-burner plancha

Rank 13

onlyfire 3-burner plancha

∼£250

Our view

The onlyfire three-burner plancha is a ceramic-coated flat plate on a foldable wheeled cart, listed at £249.99 and 23.4 kg, with 7 kW that agrees between the field and the bullet. Amazon.co.uk shows 3.2 from 11 ratings, which is a small sample. The plate is not a bar grate, so food sits on a griddle rather than over open bars. A temperature gauge is in the bullet, and the cart folds with a side shelf. The hose is not on the included-components line, even where a regulator is mentioned in a bullet. One UK review reports rust on the plate and the frame within a year, which is the limit of any stainless wording on this row. Choose it when you want a plancha you can wheel and fold, and treat the star line as thin.

Pros

  • 7 kW agrees between the field and the bullet
  • Foldable cart with wheels and a side shelf
  • Temperature gauge is in the bullet

Cons

  • 3.2 from 11 ratings
  • One UK review reports rust within a year
  • Hose is not on the included-components line

Best for: You want a ceramic flat plate on a folding trolley and accept a review file of 11 ratings.

Less suitable: You want bar-grate steaks, a large UK review sample, or a plate you can leave out for years without checking for rust.

Common questions

Is the cooking surface a grate or a plate?

It is a non-stick ceramic-coated griddle. The title says plancha.

What heat is listed?

7 kW for three burners, on both the heating-power field and the bullet.

What do the UK reviews say about rust?

One verified UK review says the hot plate and frame rusted within a year. The sample is three UK reviews, all critical.

How we compared

Thirteen amazon.co.uk gas BBQ listings were scored from the star line alone. The published score is the star average times 20, so 5.0 becomes 100 and 4.6 becomes 92. Review count is not in that figure, which is why a 5.0 from 4 ratings outranks a 4.6 from 4,208. The display award for the top pick is the Weber Q 1200N. The display award for best value is the Campingaz Party Grill 400. Those are two different listings. This is not a lab test. The weights below sum to 100.

Stars

100%

The whole score is the amazon.co.uk star average times 20, up to 100. A 5.0 becomes 100, a 4.6 becomes 92, a 4.5 becomes 90 and a 3.2 becomes 64. Review count, hose, burner count and conflicting heat lines are shown in the table. They do not add or remove points. The star line is the listing figure, not a lab score.

Gas BBQ buying guide

Choose the site and the gas fitting before the star count. A gas BBQ here may be a wheeled cart, a tabletop, a plancha or a cartridge camp stove. On this page the shelf prices run from about £89.99 to about £389.00. A 5.0 from 4 ratings is a different record from 4.6 from 4,208 ratings, and a hose that is missing from the included line is not in the box.

What is a gas BBQ?

A gas BBQ in this UK set is an outdoor LPG cart, a portable stainless grill or plancha, or a cartridge camp grill. It is not a charcoal kettle and it is not an indoor hob. Shoppers on amazon.co.uk are choosing burner count, whether a hose is in the box, and whether they can lift the unit. Quality here means a data plate that matches the bottle, a grate that can live outside, and reviews that do not describe a leaking side burner.

Best for

  • A garden cook who will assemble a cart once and buy a patio hose if the included list does not name one
  • A camper or a small outdoor cook who will match a cartridge grill to the fitting named on the listing

Not ideal for

  • A balcony, a tent, a garage or a room
  • Anyone who needs one kilowatt total where the heat field and the bullet disagree

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Assuming the hose is in the box

Only the CosmoGrill Emberr lists a propane hose and regulator in the included components. Campfire and TOV bullets say the hose is not included. Other CosmoGrill carts list a lid, a rack, a tray or a manual. A Campingaz review says the named cartridge was not in the box.

  2. 2

Putting a patio regulator on a cartridge grill

A 37 mbar patio regulator fits a low-pressure cart. The Weber Q 1200N is an EN 417 cartridge grill at direct pressure, on the Weber UK page for this model. Those fittings do not swap. The Campingaz names a CV 470 or an R907, not a patio bottle.

  3. 3

Merging two heat figures, or cooking on a balcony

Where the field and the bullet disagree, leave both. Absurd area fields stay as printed. London Fire Brigade says not on a balcony. The NHS says not indoors and not in a tent. Stop if a joint still leaks, and call Gas Safe for a fixed pipe.

What to weigh up

Site, gas fitting and the hose

High

The site comes first: outdoors, on level ground, away from fences and sheds. Not a balcony and not a tent. Then the gas system. Low-pressure carts usually want 37 mbar propane or patio gas, or 28–30 mbar butane, with a connector that matches the cylinder. A cartridge grill is a different fitting. The Weber Q uses an EN 417 cartridge at direct pressure. The Campingaz uses a CV 470 or an R907. Only the Emberr included line names a propane hose and regulator.

Burners, heat and the area you can trust

High

A rule of thumb, not a test of these listings, is one or two burners for about four people and at least four burners for six or more. Do not compare a 2,000 W camp stove with a six-burner cart. Use a heat figure only when the field and the bullet agree, as they do at 2.93 kW on the Weber Q and at 7 kW on the two onlyfire three-burner rows. Where they disagree, keep both lines. Leave absurd area fields as printed, including 7,000 cm², 252 square metres, 77 cm² and 850 mm².

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Garden host, a 4+1 cart

You will assemble a four-burner cart once and buy a patio hose if the box has none. The CosmoGrill Original 4+1 is about £199.99, at 4.4 from 1,036 ratings, the largest cart sample here. The heat field says 9.3 kW and the bullet names a different split, so do not merge them. The included list is a lid and a rack.

A small outdoor cook

You want one burner you can turn down, on a stand, and you will use an EN 417 cartridge rather than a patio-gas bottle. The Weber Q 1200N with stand is about £389.00, at 5.0 from 4 ratings. Heat, area and the lid thermometer agree. A balcony bullet is not permission to cook on a balcony.

Camping, cartridge gas

You want a camp stove with a griddle, a grate and a pan support, on a CV 470 cartridge or an R907 cylinder. The Campingaz Party Grill 400 is about £96.01, at 4.6 from 4,208 ratings. It is the best value here. It is the wrong object if you came for a wheeled family cart.

Common questions about Gas BBQs

Which gas BBQ is the top pick for 2026?
The top pick is the Weber Q 1200N with stand at about £389.00. The listing score is 100, which is 5.0 stars times 20. Heat is 2.93 kW and the cooking area is 1,290 cm², and those lines agree. amazon.co.uk shows 5.0 from 4 ratings. The included line does not name a hose or a cartridge. It is one burner on a stand, not a party cart. This is not a lab test.
Which gas BBQ is the best value?
The best value is the Campingaz Party Grill 400 at about £96.01. It shows 4.6 from 4,208 amazon.co.uk ratings, the largest review sample in this set, and the score is 92. It is a 2,000 W camp stove for a CV 470 cartridge or an R907 cylinder, with a griddle, a grate and a pan support. One UK review says the cartridge named on the included line was not in the box.
How much does a gas BBQ cost on amazon.co.uk?
Shelf prices in this set run from about £89.99 for the BROILUCK 2+1 to about £389.00 for the Weber Q 1200N. Under £100 you also have the Campingaz at about £96.01. About £170–£200 covers the Campfire, the onlyfire two-burner, the CosmoGrill Original and the TOV. About £250–£300 covers the plancha, the 4+1 Pro, the Emberr, the three-burner grate and both CosmoGrill 6+1 listings.
Is the gas hose in the box?
Only the CosmoGrill Emberr lists a propane hose and regulator in the included components. Campfire and TOV bullets say the regulator and hose are not included. Other CosmoGrill carts list a lid, a rack, a tray or a manual, and UK reviews say you buy the pipe. The Weber included line says barbecue grill. The Campingaz uses a cartridge or an R907, not a patio hose.
Which gas fitting does a gas BBQ need?
Low-pressure carts usually want 37 mbar propane or patio gas, or 28–30 mbar butane, with a connector that matches the cylinder. The Weber Q 1200N is different: Weber UK specifies an EN 417 cartridge at direct pressure, so a 37 mbar patio regulator is the wrong fitting. Campingaz bullets name a CV 470 Plus cartridge or an R907 cylinder. A fixed pipe is Gas Safe work. A freestanding hose is not. See the gas regulator comparison.
Can you use a gas BBQ on a balcony or indoors?
No. London Fire Brigade says not to barbecue on a balcony, and to keep cylinders outdoors. The NHS says not to use a barbecue or a camping stove indoors or in a tent. A bullet that names balconies is not permission to cook on one. If you suspect carbon monoxide, use NHS 111 or 999 as that page states. The gas emergency number in the same guidance is 0800 111 999.
How many burners do you need?
A rule of thumb from BBC Gardeners' World, not a test of these listings, is one or two burners for about four people, and at least four burners if you regularly cook for six or more. A six-burner cart is a party tool and a long assembly. Do not compare a 2,000 W camp stove with a six-burner cart. Where a heat field and a bullet disagree, keep both and do not add them into one total.
How do you light a gas BBQ and shut it down?
Light it outdoors, soap-test the joints, shut the cylinder when you finish, and leave the barbecue outside to cool. Stop if a joint still leaks, including a side burner after a gas-smell review. Do not merge a kilowatt field with a bullet that names a different total. Lighting and shutdown steps are in the gas BBQ how to use guide.

Our verdict

The top pick is the Weber Q 1200N with stand at about £389.00. The listing score is 100, from 5.0 stars times 20, with one 2.93 kW burner and 1,290 cm² that agree across the page. amazon.co.uk shows 5.0 from only 4 ratings, and the included line does not name a hose or a cartridge. The best value is the Campingaz Party Grill 400 at about £96.01, at 4.6 from 4,208 ratings. It is a 2,000 W cartridge camp stove, not a garden cart. These scores are the star line times 20, not a lab test.
