Peter F.Editor

A paint spray gun atomises a coating you would otherwise brush onto a fence, a shed or a piece of garden furniture. Most are mains fan guns you hold with the paint. Quality shows up as a stated limit, a nozzle that matches the tin, a cup you can refill, a BS 1363 plug where the gun is mains, and a clean the same day. The checks before you buy are in the [paint spray gun buying guide](/hub/painting-supplies/paint-spray-gun/sub/paint-spray-gun-buying-guide). Some listings put the motor on a hose and a shoulder strap so the weight stays off your wrist. UK buyers are mostly painting fences, sheds and garden furniture. A smaller group wants furniture varnish or a small panel.

The best Paint spray guns in detail

YFFU 800 W

Rank 1

YFFU 800 W

∼£50

Our view

The YFFU JH-18J splits an 800 W motor from the gun, with a 1.8 m hose, a 1300 ml pot and brass nozzles at 1.5 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm, at £49.99. The star line is 5.0 from 13 ratings. The bullet says 0.4 kg in the hand, and the item weight for the set is 2.7 kg. A 120 DIN-s maximum is a listing claim. The same bullets say to clean within 15 minutes and to test with water on first use. UK mains, a 3 m cord and a shoulder strap are stated. Thirteen ratings sit next to the Wagner fence gun’s 4.5 from 4,784 at £60, so the hose layout is the shortlist point and the sample size is the limit.

Pros

  • Motor off the wrist on a 1.8 m hose
  • 1300 ml pot and 1.5 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm nozzles
  • 120 DIN-s claim, with a clean-within-15-minutes note
  • UK mains, a 3 m cord and a shoulder strap stated

Cons

  • 5.0 from only 13 ratings
  • 0.4 kg in the hand versus 2.7 kg item weight
  • 120 DIN-s is a listing claim
  • UK 3-pin plug not spelled out, only UK mains

Best for: A fence run where you want the motor off the wrist and you can live with 13 ratings.

Less suitable: A buyer who reads a 5.0 from 13 reviews as the same evidence as several thousand ratings.

DEKO 1000 W 800 ml

Rank 2

DEKO 1000 W 800 ml

∼£43

Our view

This DEKO is the 1000 W handheld with an 800 ml pot, a stated UK 3-pin plug and the same 20-minute continuous limit, at £42.99. The star line is 5.0 from 2 ratings. Both reviews describe walls, cabinets or decking. Two ratings are too small a set to treat as a settled score. A bullet claims overheat protection next to the warning to stop and let the tool cool. Nozzle bullets list 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm, and the included-components line lists 1.0 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm. The viscosity line is a 100 DIN-s claim, flow up to 1000 ml/min is a seller claim, and weight is printed as both 1.85 kg and 1.8 kg.

Pros

  • 1000 W and a stated UK 3-pin plug
  • 20-minute limit and a claimed overheat cut-out
  • 100 DIN-s claim and four nozzles
  • about £42.99

Cons

  • 5.0 from only 2 ratings
  • 800 ml pot
  • Nozzle list disagrees with the included-components line
  • Weight printed as both 1.85 kg and 1.8 kg

Best for: A short test on walls, cabinets or decking, if you accept that the score rests on two reviews.

Less suitable: A fence that needs a known duty beyond 20 minutes, or a decision that needs more than two ratings.

What coatings does the listing name?

Latex, varnish, fence coating, wood stain and most water-based paints, up to 100 DIN-s.

How many reviews are on the listing?

5.0 from 2 ratings. Both reviews describe walls, cabinets or decking.

ToCzernobgol cordless

Rank 3

ToCzernobgol cordless

∼£100

Our view

The ToCzernobgol JH-12Z is listed at £99.99 with two 4000 mAh packs, a 1200 ml pot and five nozzles from 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm. It scores 4.8 from 30 ratings, and each pack is claimed at 20–25 minutes. That runtime is a listing claim, and this comparison did not time a pack. The specification says the power source is battery powered. Some review texts describe plugging a sprayer into a 220 V socket, and one pastes a different product title and a 65 DIN-second limit. Item weight is 2.55 kg, and assembly is described as tool-free. At the highest price in this batch, the check that matters is whether the unit in the box is the battery gun the title describes.

Pros

  • Two 4000 mAh packs and a 1200 ml pot
  • Five nozzles from 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm
  • 4.8 from 30 ratings
  • Tool-free assembly claimed

Cons

  • about £99.99, the highest price in this set
  • 20–25 minutes per pack is an untimed listing claim
  • Some reviews describe a 220 V plug
  • One review pastes a different title and a 65 DIN limit

Best for: A garden with no nearby socket, after you have checked the box is the battery model in the title.

Less suitable: A buyer who needs a timed runtime, or who is reading reviews that describe a mains plug.

Each 4000 mAh pack is claimed at 20–25 minutes. That figure is a listing claim, not a timed test here.

Is assembly tool-free?

Yes. The bullet says tool-free assembly.

Do the reviews all describe battery use?

The specification says battery powered. Some review texts describe plugging into a 220 V socket.

Wagner fence and decking sprayer

Rank 4

Wagner fence and decking sprayer

∼£60

Our view

The Wagner fence and decking sprayer puts a 460 W turbine on a shoulder strap, with a 1400 ml pot and a 1.8 m hose, so the motor stays off your wrist on fence panels, sheds and decking. On this amazon.co.uk snapshot it is £60, with 4.5 from 4,784 ratings, and the listing claims 5 m² in 9 minutes. In the first 50 reviews, cleaning is a same-day job once the gun is detached: warm water, or white spirit when the coating is solvent-based. Anti-slip decking paint clogged the gun until it was cleared, so grit in the tin stops a pass even on a gun built for decking. The row lists a 3-way jet and gives neither separate nozzle diameters nor a DIN-second limit. It states 240 V and leaves the plug type blank. It is the top pick here for a long outdoor run if you thin to the tin and clean before the coating skins.

Pros

  • 1400 ml pot on a 1.8 m hose, motor on a shoulder strap
  • 4.5 from 4,784 amazon.co.uk ratings
  • Listing claims 5 m² in 9 minutes
  • Gun detaches for a same-day water or white-spirit flush

Cons

  • No nozzle diameters, only a 3-way jet
  • No DIN-second limit on the amazon row
  • Plug type not stated, only 240 V
  • Anti-slip decking paint clogged it until it was cleared

Best for: A long fence, a shed or decking, if you will thin the coating and flush the gun the same day.

Less suitable: A room of emulsion, anti-slip decking paint, or a varnish that needs a numbered nozzle.

Common questions

Can it spray garden furniture as well as fences?

The bullets name garden furniture, fences, sheds and decking, and standard solvent or water-based fence coatings.

Does it include several nozzle sizes?

A 3-way jet is listed. Separate nozzle diameters are not given.

How do reviewers clean it?

The gun detaches. In the first 50 reviews, a same-day warm-water flush, or white spirit for solvent coatings, is the repeated method.

Tilswall Alien 500

Rank 5

Tilswall Alien 500

∼£40

Our view

The Tilswall Alien 500 is a corded gun with a 600 ml pot at £39.99, for a short run such as a chair or a single panel, and the listing states no wattage. It scores 4.4 from 28 ratings. The nozzles are listed as 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm, with a claim of up to 100 DIN-s and an instruction to dilute before use. Item weight is 1.05 kg, and a bullet says 0.7 kg. A BS 1363 plug is not stated. The 600 ml pot is about half the 1200 ml handhelds in this table, so it fits a short run. The specification table does not list the viscosity cup and cleaning tools that reviews describe in the box. Rank on this snapshot is 350 in Paint Sprayers.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 28 ratings
  • 600 ml pot at a listed 1.05 kg
  • Nozzles down to 1.0 mm for thinner coatings
  • 100 DIN-s claim

Cons

  • Wattage not stated
  • Bullet weight of 0.7 kg disagrees with 1.05 kg
  • UK plug not stated
  • 600 ml is a short run on a fence

Best for: A chair, a short panel or a small piece of garden furniture.

Less suitable: A long boundary, or a buyer who needs a stated wattage and a stated UK plug.

NEU MASTER 500 W

Rank 6

NEU MASTER 500 W

∼£32

Our view

The NEU MASTER NSG0110-EU500 is a 500 W handheld you hold with the paint, with a 1200 ml pot and nozzles at 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm. At £31.89 it scores 4.3 from 1,779 ratings, the largest sample of any gun under £40 in this set. Reviews name fences, sheds, decking and wicker, and several say a full room is a poor match because the 1200 ml pot keeps needing a refill. In the first 50 reviews the word clean appears about 30 times, and the listing tells you to clean immediately after use. The viscosity line is a seller claim of 100 DIN, and the hose-length field prints 2 mm next to a handheld cord of 6.65 ft. A BS 1363 plug is not stated, and the item weight is 1.6 kg. It is the best value here for garden timber when you will strain the coating and live with refills.

Pros

  • 4.3 from 1,779 ratings at about £31.89
  • 1200 ml pot and 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm nozzles
  • Reviews cluster on fences, sheds, decking and wicker
  • 100 DIN claim and a clean-immediately note

Cons

  • You hold the 1.6 kg motor and the paint
  • A full room means repeated refills of the 1200 ml pot
  • Hose-length field prints 2 mm
  • BS 1363 plug not stated

Best for: Garden panels, a shed or wicker, if you can refill a 1200 ml pot and you will clean it the same day.

Less suitable: A full room of wall paint, or a buyer who needs a BS 1363 plug stated on the listing.

The warranty field prints 2 and does not say whether that figure is years. Item weight is 1.7 kg, with the motor and a full pot in one handheld unit.

Pros

  • 4.3 from 111 ratings at about £33.23
  • 2.5 mm nozzle fitted, with 1.0 mm, 1.8 mm and 3.0 mm spares

Wagner W 100

Rank 8

Wagner W 100

∼£55

Our view

The Wagner W 100 is a 280 W corded sprayer with an 800 ml cup and a 1.5 m hose, listed at £55 and rank 1 in Paint Sprayers on this snapshot. The star line is 4.2 from 3,289 ratings. Reviewers in the saved sample use it on fences, sheds, trellis and furniture, and several say the 800 ml cup and the short lead limit a long fence. The amazon comparison row does not print a DIN limit. Wagner’s UK page and the manual rate this model at 90 DIN-seconds and 0–110 ml/min, exclude wall paint without the Perfect Spray logo, and exclude flammable materials. In the first 50 reviews, cleaning comes up about 48 times and clog language about 12 times. The listing claims 5 m² in 12 minutes, the manual gives 76 dB(A) sound pressure for this model only, and a 4-year manufacturer warranty is printed.

Pros

  • 4.2 from 3,289 ratings, rank 1 in Paint Sprayers
  • 1.5 m hose and an 800 ml cup
  • Maker rating of 90 DIN-seconds and 0–110 ml/min
  • 4-year manufacturer warranty, and 76 dB(A) in the manual for this model

Cons

  • 800 ml cup and the lead limit a long fence
  • Amazon row has no DIN field
  • Manual excludes wall paint without the Perfect Spray logo
  • Clog language comes up in the review sample

Best for: Furniture, trellis, a shed and shorter fence runs, where 90 DIN-seconds and an 800 ml cup match the tin.

Less suitable: A long boundary that needs fewer refills, wall paint without the Perfect Spray logo, or flammable coatings.

Rank 9

TOPALL 850 W

∼£35

Our view

The TOPALL gun is an 850 W handheld at £34.99, with five copper nozzles from 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm, a viscosity cup and tool-free assembly. It scores 4.1 from 94 ratings. Tank volume is printed as 1400 millilitres, and the box line also prints 1400 ml/1000 ml, so the pot size on the page is two figures. No DIN-second maximum is stated, and the cord is 1.7 m. One review says lacquer gummed the gun up. Item weight is 1.1 kg, and the title speed is printed as 32000PRM. The largest hole in the set is 2.5 mm, which is a tight match for a heavy fence coating that other rows in this table list at 3.0 mm.

  • 4.1 from 94 ratings at about £34.99
  • Five nozzles from 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm and a viscosity cup

BENTOHKLE A610

Rank 10

BENTOHKLE A610

∼£75

Our view

The BENTOHKLE A610 is an air gun at £74.99: it needs 3.0–3.9 cfm at 2.0–3.5 bar, and the kit brings 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.7 mm nozzles plus ten disposable 650 ml cups. It scores 3.7 from 20 ratings. The listing gives a fan width of 180–280 mm. UK reviews praise the droplet size on a small compressor. The same reviews say the cups will not hold a seal for upside-down work, and one reviewer reports the trigger pin breaking after a single use. The warranty line is 30 days, and the rank sits in Automotive under Paint Guns & Accessories. You need a compressor you already own, and two-pack isocyanate in a closed garage is outside what this kit is for.

Pros

  • 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.7 mm nozzles for finer coatings
  • Stated air use of 3.0–3.9 cfm at 2.0–3.5 bar
  • Reviews praise droplet size on a small compressor
  • Ten disposable 650 ml cups in the box

Cons

  • Needs a compressor, at about £74.99
  • Cups will not hold a seal upside down
  • One report of the trigger pin breaking after one use
  • 3.7 from 20 ratings and a 30-day warranty

Best for: A small panel or a furniture piece when you already run a compressor at about 3–4 cfm.

Less suitable: A fence with no compressor, upside-down work on these disposable cups, or two-pack isocyanate in a garage.

DEKO 1000 W 1200 ml

Rank 11

DEKO 1000 W 1200 ml

∼£50

Our view

You hold this 1000 W DEKO gun and a pot the tank line calls 1200 ml, and the warning stops a continuous run at 20 minutes before a cool-down, at £49.99. It scores 3.7 from 10 ratings. The same listing’s unit count is 800 millilitres. One UK review says the motor smoked after half a wall, next to the warning to check viscosity so the motor does not overload. The bullets list nozzles at 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm, and the included-components line lists 1.0 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm. A UK 3-pin plug and a 3-year warranty are stated. Spray distance is given as 20–25 cm, and flow up to 1000 ml/min is a seller claim.

Pros

  • 1000 W, 1200 ml on the tank line, UK 3-pin plug
  • Four nozzles and three spray patterns
  • 3-year warranty
  • 20-minute duty limit is printed on the listing

Cons

  • 3.7 from 10 ratings
  • One review reports the motor smoked after half a wall
  • Unit count says 800 ml against a 1200 ml tank
  • Two different nozzle lists

Best for: A short outdoor job inside the 20-minute limit, if the nozzle set in the box matches one of the two lists.

Less suitable: A long continuous run, or a buy decided on 10 ratings and a smoke report.

Common questions

Does the DEKO 1000 W gun include several nozzles?

The listing says four nozzles. The bullet sizes are 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 mm. Included components list 1.0, 1.8, 2.5 and 3.0 mm.

How long can it run?

The warning says not to spray continuously for more than 20 minutes, then let it cool, and to check viscosity with the cup.

Tank volume is 1200 millilitres. The same listing’s unit count is 800.0 millilitres.

DEKOPRO 550 W

Rank 12

DEKOPRO 550 W

∼£30

Our view

The DEKOPRO is a 550 W handheld you fill to 1200 ml, with a stated UK 3-pin plug and nozzles at 1.3 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm, at £29.99. It scores 2.6 from 11 ratings, the lowest star line in this set. A review says the gun became very hot within a minute and would not switch off until it was unplugged. The title calls the nozzles brass and a bullet calls them copper. A 100 DIN-s figure is a listing claim. The page prints no duty limit and no warranty. No-load speed is given as 38,000 RPM, and flow up to 1000 ml/min is another seller claim.

Pros

  • Lowest price in the table at about £29.99
  • 1200 ml pot and a stated UK 3-pin plug
  • Nozzles from 1.3 mm to 2.5 mm
  • Viscosity cup, gloves and filters in the box

Cons

  • 2.6 from 11 ratings
  • A review says it became very hot and would not switch off
  • Brass in the title, copper in a bullet
  • No duty limit and no warranty printed

Best for: A buyer who will spray scrap the same day and return the gun if the motor will not switch off.

Less suitable: A fence you need to finish in one session, or a purchase based on the £29.99 price alone.

1.3 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm. The title calls them brass and a bullet calls them copper.

How we compared

Twelve amazon.co.uk listings were scored from 0 to 100 using the stars, review counts and shelf prices on those rows. Stars are the Amazon rating divided by 5, times 55. Review volume is one band only: 25 at 4,000 or more, 20 at 1,000, 12 at 100, 8 at 50, 4 at 20, 0 at 10, and minus 12 under 10. Fit is up to 12: a DIN limit on the row or on Wagner’s UK page for that exact model, a hose of at least 1.5 m or a container of at least 1200 ml, nozzle diameters in millimetres, and a stated UK 3-pin plug or a gun that is not mains. Disposable 650 ml cups do not qualify. Deductions stack for a review that reports smoke or a gun that would not switch off, a 5.0 from fewer than 15 ratings, an airless title on a fan gun, cup seals or a broken trigger pin, and reviews that describe a mains plug on a battery listing. The positive blocks max at 92. The weights below are 55, 25, 12 and 8 so they sum to 100, and the 8 is those stacked deductions inside the 100-point cap. This is not a laboratory test. The top pick is the highest score, once. Best value is the highest score at £40 or under, once.

Listing fit

12%

Up to 12 points: a stated DIN limit, a hose of at least 1.5 m or a pot of at least 1200 ml, nozzle diameters, and a stated UK 3-pin plug or a gun that is not mains. A 3-way jet with no diameters scores 0 on nozzles. “UK mains” or “240 V” with the plug type missing scores 0.

Paint spray gun buying guide

Buy the gun for the drive, the DIN limit and the cup, not for the word airless in a title. Twelve amazon.co.uk listings were scored from the saved pages in this comparison. A hose gun suits a long fence. A handheld suits a shorter run if you can hold the motor and the paint. A 5.0 from 13 reviews is not the same evidence as a file of several thousand. The top pick and the best value are named from those scores. Neither result is a spray test.

What is a paint spray gun?

A paint spray gun on amazon.co.uk, in this comparison, is a tool that atomises a coating. The usual machine is a mains electric fan gun you hold with the pot. Some listings put the motor on a hose and a shoulder strap so the weight stays off your wrist. One listing is cordless. One is a compressor-fed LVLP gun. UK buyers in this set are mostly painting fences, sheds and garden furniture. A smaller group wants furniture varnish or a small panel.

Best for

  • A garden owner painting panels, a shed or decking, who will thin and clean
  • A furniture painter who needs a finer nozzle and will mask

Not ideal for

  • A whole flat of emulsion, or two-pack isocyanate in a closed garage
  • A buyer who ranks a 5.0 from 13 reviews above 4.5 from 4,784

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Skipping the viscosity cup

DIN-seconds are the flow time from a 4 mm cup. A higher number is thicker. Brush-only fence paint, including standard Ronseal Fence Life, does not become sprayable because the gun has a 3.0 mm hole.

  2. 2

Reading a tiny 5.0 as a settled score

The DEKO 800 ml is 5.0 from 2 ratings. The YFFU is 5.0 from 13. The Wagner fence sprayer is 4.5 from 4,784. The larger file is the stronger evidence on this page.

  3. 3

Buying an air gun with no compressor

The BENTOHKLE needs about 3–4 cfm. It is not a fence gun for a house with no compressor, and it is not a booth for two-pack isocyanate.

What to weigh up

Viscosity and nozzle

High

Viscosity is the flow time from a 4 mm DIN 53211 cup. A higher number is thicker. The plastic cup in the box is a guide, not a certificate. Wagner’s UK page and the W 100 manual rate that model at 90 DIN-seconds and 0–110 ml/min. The manual excludes wall paint without the Perfect Spray logo and excludes flammable materials. Several budget rows claim 100 DIN-s, and the YFFU claims 120 DIN-s. The Wagner fence sprayer, the TOPALL and the ToCzernobgol print no DIN limit.

Cup, plug and cleaning

High

A 600–800 ml cup means more refills on a fence. The Tilswall is 600 ml and the W 100 and the DEKO 800 ml are 800 ml. A 1200–1400 ml cup is heavier if you hold the motor and the paint. The NEU MASTER is 1.6 kg with a 1200 ml pot. The Wagner fence sprayer and the YFFU use a 1.8 m hose so the motor stays off the wrist. YFFU’s bullet says 0.4 kg in the hand. The item weight is 2.7 kg.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

A fence, shed or decking

You will thin the coating and clean the gun the same day. The Wagner fence and decking sprayer at about £60 puts a 460 W turbine on a shoulder strap, with a 1400 ml pot and a 1.8 m hose, and 4.5 from 4,784 reviews. It has no numbered nozzles and no DIN limit on the Amazon row.

Furniture and shorter runs

You need a finer job and you will mask. The Wagner W 100 at about £55 is 280 W with an 800 ml cup and a 1.5 m hose, 4.2 from 3,289 reviews, and a maker rating of 90 DIN-seconds. The manual excludes wall paint without the Perfect Spray logo, and the cup limits a long fence.

You already run a compressor

The BENTOHKLE A610 at about £74.99 needs 3.0–3.9 cfm at 2.0–3.5 bar, with 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.7 mm nozzles. It scores 3.7 from 20 reviews. Reviews praise droplet size and also say the disposable cups will not seal upside down. It is not a licence to spray two-pack in a closed garage.

Common questions about Paint spray guns

Which paint spray gun is the top pick in 2026?
The top pick is the Wagner fence and decking sprayer at about £60. It scored 78 out of 100 on this page: a 460 W turbine, a 1400 ml pot, a 1.8 m hose and 4.5 from 4,784 amazon.co.uk reviews. The listing claims 5 m² in 9 minutes. It gives no nozzle diameters and no DIN-second limit, and it states 240 V without a plug type. It is the highest score in these twelve listings, not a spray test.
Which paint spray gun is the best value?
The best value is the NEU MASTER 500 W at about £31.89. It is the highest score at £40 or under: 76 out of 100, with 4.3 from 1,779 reviews, a 1200 ml pot and nozzles at 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm. Reviews cluster on fences, sheds, decking and wicker. A full room means repeated refills, and a BS 1363 plug is not stated. The 100 DIN line is a listing claim, not a lab result.
How much does a paint spray gun cost on amazon.co.uk?
Prices in this set are the captured amazon.co.uk shelf prices, not a live basket. About £29.99 to £39.99 covers the DEKOPRO, NEU MASTER, Kynjet, TOPALL and Tilswall. About £42.99 to £60 covers both DEKO guns, the YFFU, the Wagner W 100 at about £55 and the Wagner fence sprayer at about £60. The BENTOHKLE kit is about £74.99. The ToCzernobgol cordless gun is about £99.99. A higher price is not a higher score.
What should you check before you buy a paint spray gun?
Check the drive first: mains handheld, a hose, cordless, or a compressor you already own. Then set the tin against a DIN-second limit, and pick a nozzle of about 1.0–1.8 mm for thin stain or about 2.5–3.0 mm for a heavier coating. A 600–800 ml cup means more fence refills. Prefer a stated UK 3-pin plug. Clean the gun the same day. A 5.0 from 13 reviews is weaker evidence than 4.5 from 4,784.
Is an airless paint sprayer the same as these guns?
No. An airless sprayer is a pump. This batch has no airless pump. The Kynjet title includes the word airless, and the bullets describe a 650 W fan gun with three patterns and no stated pump pressure. Do not buy it as a pump. A whole flat of emulsion is a different class of machine, set out in the paint sprayer comparison.
Does a paint spray gun need a UK 3-pin plug?
A mains gun for a UK socket needs a correctly fitted BS 1363 plug, or a compliant conversion plug and a BS 1362 fuse, under the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, regulation 35. In this set only the two DEKO guns and the DEKOPRO state a UK 3-pin plug. The Wagner fence sprayer states 240 V and leaves the plug type blank. The YFFU says UK mains. The BENTOHKLE is an air gun, and the ToCzernobgol listing says it is battery powered.
Can you spray any fence paint?
No. The nozzle does not rescue a tin the maker has banned from sprayers. Ronseal says standard Fence Life must not go in a sprayer. Wagner’s W 100 manual stops at 90 DIN-seconds and excludes wall paint without the Perfect Spray logo, plus flammable materials. Thin only as the tin allows, and not into a wind that carries overspray onto a neighbour.
When should you stop and call a professional?
Stop if a mains gun smokes or will not switch off. A smoking motor on first use can be a Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 22, rejection within 30 days if the goods are not of satisfactory quality. A clog from unthinned brush paint is not that fault. Call a professional for sprayed two-pack isocyanate, which needs a booth and air-fed protection, for a whole flat of emulsion, and when the building rules are not yours.

Our verdict

The top pick is the Wagner fence and decking sprayer at about £60. It is the highest score, 78 out of 100: a 1400 ml pot on a 1.8 m hose, the motor on a shoulder strap, and 4.5 from 4,784 amazon.co.uk reviews. The row gives a 3-way jet and no nozzle diameters, no DIN-second limit, and 240 V without a plug type. The best value is the NEU MASTER 500 W at about £31.89, the highest score at £40 or under: 76 out of 100, 4.3 from 1,779 reviews, a 1200 ml pot and numbered nozzles. A full room means refills, and a BS 1363 plug is not stated. None of these scores is a spray test.
