Dust goggles comparison 2026

The best dust goggles, compared.

Top pick: OX indirect vent safety goggles Best value: Luyunfei safety goggles, 4 pack – Highest price-credibility score on a different ASIN: four pairs at about £12.99, 4.6 from 34, with a matching URL and a forehead gap in one review. Updated October 2026.

Dust goggles use a head strap and a rim meant to meet the face, so dust and splash have a harder path in than around safety spectacles. UK buyers include people strimming, sanding, grinding, or doing light lab work, and employers who still have an eye hazard after other controls. Quality is the stamped mark and the vent type, not anti-fog in a title. A goggle is the wrong tool for gas and very fine dust unless it is non-vented and marked for that job, and it is not a respirator. How to choose vent, mark, and seal is in the [dust goggles buying guide](/hub/occupational-safety/dust-goggles/sub/dust-goggles-buying-guide). Large dust and liquid droplets need a goggle, not spectacles. JSP's UK marking guide says field 4 (large dust, above 5 microns) applies only to indirect-vented or non-vented goggles, and field 5 (gas and fine dust) only to non-vented goggles. Field 3 is liquid droplets on a goggle, or liquid splash on a face shield.

Dust goggles use a head strap and a rim meant to meet the face, so dust and splash have a harder path in than around safety spectacles.

The best dust goggles in detail

OX indirect vent safety goggles

Rank 1

OX indirect vent safety goggles

∼£10

Our view

OX indirect-vent safety goggles are £9.99. The vent type appears in the title and not in the specification table, which also prints no EN 166 field mark. The page shows 5.0 from 2 reviews, the details ASIN is B0HFK4FMV3, and only one review text is in the file, dated 28 October 2023. That review says the lenses seemed harder and less scratched than a previous pair of another brand. Date first available is 17 August 2026, so the captured review is older than the listing date. The page asks whether they suit chemical splash and does not answer. A 5.0 from two reviews is not a dust test, and a mark printed on the manufacturer's own site is not the same as a mark in this amazon table.

Pros

  • Title says indirect vent
  • £9.99
  • One captured review says the lenses seemed harder than a previous pair
  • Manufacturer line says OX Tools

Cons

  • Details ASIN B0HFK4FMV3 differs from the URL
  • 5.0 from 2, with one review text in the file
  • No EN 166 line in the specification table
  • Splash question on the page is unanswered

Best for: You specifically want an indirect-vent title and you will read the frame in your hand before you trust it for dust.

Less suitable: Chemical splash, or anyone treating a two-review 5.0 as evidence for this URL.

Common questions

What vent type does the listing state?

The title says indirect vent. The specification table does not describe the vents, and it does not print an EN 166 field mark.

Are they suitable for chemical splash?

The page asks that question and does not answer it in the specification table. No splash test is in the file.

What do the reviews say?

The page shows 5.0 from 2 reviews. The details ASIN differs from the URL. The one captured review says the lenses seemed harder and less scratched than a previous pair of another brand.

Luyunfei safety goggles, 4 pack

Rank 2

Luyunfei safety goggles, 4 pack

∼£13

Our view

The luyunfei four-pack is £12.99 on amazon.co.uk, about £3.25 a pair, with 4.6 from 34 reviews, and the URL ASIN matches the details table. The title says the goggles are splash, scratch and dust resistant. The page asks whether they fit over prescription glasses and whether the strap is adjustable, and neither the table nor the captured reviews answer. One reviewer says they are not flush to the forehead and that a cap would help, which leaves a path for dust. Printed product dimensions are 4 × 2 × 1 cm and the weight line is 120 g. Other notes mention garden debris and the four-pack. There is no anti-fog claim and no stated standard. In this comparison it is the best value when you want spares and a page that is not mixing ASINs, and you can accept a forehead gap.

Pros

  • URL and details ASIN match
  • £12.99 for four pairs
  • 4.6 from 34 reviews
  • Title names splash, scratch and dust

Cons

  • One reviewer says they sit off the forehead
  • Over-glasses and strap questions are unanswered
  • No standard in the specification table
  • No anti-fog claim on the page

Best for: You want spare pairs for garden debris and you can check that the rim actually meets your forehead.

Less suitable: Fine dust that needs a sealed rim, or prescription glasses with no fit note on the page.

One reviewer says they are not flush to the forehead and that a cap would help. Others mention garden debris and a four-pack. Printed dimensions are 4 x 2 x 1 cm and 120 g.

Zuvo safety goggles

Rank 3

Zuvo safety goggles

Our view

Zuvo's clear goggles are £5.99, and the title says anti-fog and dust resistant. The page shows 4.5 from 260 reviews, while the details ASIN is B0H3XJWLB5, so that line may not belong to the URL. Reviews disagree on glasses: some say they fit and feel roomy, and one says they are uncomfortable over glasses. Some reviewers, including one grinding stained glass, report no steaming. Several others say they mist, including when a face mask is worn. Reviewers say the lenses scratch if you wipe them dry, and one suggests washing grit off first and patting them dry. One non-UK review says the seal leaks dust when grinding or sandblasting. The anti-fog words in the title are not a consistent result in the captured notes.

Pros

  • £5.99
  • Some reviewers report no steaming, including stained-glass grinding
  • Some say they fit over glasses and feel roomy
  • A reviewer suggests washing grit off before a dry wipe

Cons

  • Details ASIN B0H3XJWLB5 differs from the URL
  • Several reviewers report misting, including with a face mask
  • Lenses scratch if wiped dry
  • One review says the seal leaks dust when grinding or sandblasting

Best for: Light indoor work if you rinse grit off the lens and you can try the pair over your own glasses.

Less suitable: Wearing them with a face mask, or grinding and sandblasting where a reviewer reported a leak.

HowseHold safety goggles, pack of 8

Rank 4

HowseHold safety goggles, pack of 8

∼£17

Our view

The HowseHold pack of eight is £16.99 on amazon.co.uk, about £2.12 a pair if all eight arrive, and it shows 4.5 from 72 reviews. The URL ASIN matches the details table, which is rare in this set. Reviewers say the goggles fit over glasses that are not oversized, including at soap-making workshops. One reviewer reports CE EN166 and ANSI Z87.1 on the frame and says the pack had no printed rating sheet. The specification table itself lists no standard, so that mark is a buyer's observation. The title says anti-fog, and fogging is not a repeated complaint in the captured notes, though one reviewer says the elastic is not adjustable and another finds it short and tight. A thin soft edge that digs in, a stiff nose bridge, and a pack that one buyer says contained six are the limits. In this comparison it is the top pick when you want the stars to belong to the product in the picture.

Pros

  • URL ASIN matches the details ASIN
  • 4.5 from 72 reviews, with wear over glasses described
  • One reviewer reports CE EN166 and ANSI Z87.1 on the frame
  • £16.99 for a titled pack of eight
  • Fogging is not a repeated complaint in the captured notes

Cons

  • Specification table does not print a standard
  • One reviewer says the elastic is not adjustable and feels short
  • Thin edge and a stiff nose bridge
  • One reviewer says the pack contained six, not eight

Best for: You want several pairs for a workshop, your glasses are not oversized, and you want a URL that matches the details table.

Less suitable: You need a standard printed in the specification table, or a strap you can lengthen.

Is the strap adjustable?

The title says a comfortable strap. One reviewer says the elastic is not adjustable. Another says it feels a bit short and tight.

What protection mark is printed?

The specification table does not list a standard. One reviewer says the frame shows CE EN166 and ANSI Z87.1, and that the pack had no printed rating sheet.

Blackrock safety goggles

Rank 5

Blackrock safety goggles

Our view

Blackrock's vented goggles are £1.99, the lowest shelf price in this set, and the title says they are for wear over glasses. The page shows 4.4 from 1,227 reviews, but the details ASIN is B0H9M69FXN, so that star line may belong to a different product. Reviewers describe four vents, a snug malleable seal, and dust kept out while sanding. Others say the vents do not stop fogging during more active work, and that breath can still steam the everyday glasses underneath. The strap is described as adjustable and as fiddly to tighten while the goggles are on your head. Red marks around the nose appear in the notes. No standard is in the specification table. The price is the attraction, and the ASIN clash is why this pair does not take a badge.

Pros

  • £1.99, the lowest price in the set
  • Title says vent and over glasses
  • Reviewers describe dust kept out while sanding
  • Strap described as adjustable

Cons

  • Details ASIN B0H9M69FXN differs from the URL
  • The 1,227 reviews may not belong to this URL
  • Fog during more active work
  • Fiddly to tighten on the head, with red marks around the nose

Best for: A short sanding job, after you check the pair in your hand against the picture, knowing the page mixes ASINs.

Less suitable: Fine dust, or any job where you need the star line to belong to the URL you are buying.

Is the strap adjustable?

Reviewers say the strap is adjustable, and also that the elastic is fiddly to tighten while the goggles are on your head.

Can they be worn over glasses?

The title says over glasses, and several reviewers agree. One says breath can still steam the everyday glasses underneath. The details ASIN on the page is not the URL.

Stanley basic work safety goggles

Rank 6

Stanley basic work safety goggles

Our view

Stanley's basic work goggles are £4.21. The page shows 4.3 from 24 reviews, and the details ASIN is B09HJXS7KB, so those stars may not be this URL. Reviewers say they seal on the face and keep dust out where open glasses leave a gap. One reviewer says they are small, with a close face seal, and cannot be used over glasses. A reviewer on a third pair says the elastic deteriorates within a couple of years and is not designed to be replaced. Date first available on the page is 7 August 2018. The specification table gives no vent type, no anti-fog claim and no EN line. The close seal is the useful comment, and the strap you cannot swap is the limit that shows up once the elastic dies.

Pros

  • £4.21
  • Reviewers describe a close seal that keeps dust out
  • Date first available 7 August 2018
  • Lower price than the OX deluxe listing

Cons

  • Details ASIN B09HJXS7KB differs from the URL
  • One reviewer says they will not fit over glasses
  • Elastic described as perishing within a couple of years and not replaceable
  • No vent type or standard in the table

Best for: You do not wear spectacles and you want a close rim for coarse dust, after you confirm the item matches the picture.

Less suitable: Prescription glasses, or a headband you expect to replace on its own.

OX deluxe anti-mist safety goggles

Rank 7

OX deluxe anti-mist safety goggles

∼£15

Our view

OX deluxe anti-mist goggles are £14.99, the highest price for a single pair in this set. The page shows 3.7 from 4 reviews, and the details ASIN is B0HFKSGD47. Two UK reviews and one Italian review are in the file, dated 2018 to 2019, while Date First Available is 17 August 2026. One of the UK reviews says they suit a large head and oversized glasses. The other says they are uncomfortable and mist up, which sits against the anti-mist title. The specification table has no vent type and no EN line. The page asks about construction use and does not answer. You would be paying more than several matching-ASIN packs for a thin file that may not even describe this URL.

Pros

  • Title says anti-mist
  • One captured UK review mentions a large head and oversized glasses
  • Manufacturer line says OX Tools

Cons

  • Details ASIN B0HFKSGD47 differs from the URL
  • 3.7 from 4, with a mist complaint
  • Review dates are 2018–2019 against a 17 August 2026 first-available date
  • No vent type or standard in the table

Best for: A try-on over oversized glasses, if you accept a four-review line that may belong to another ASIN.

Ufyuayig anti-fog safety goggles, 2 pack

Rank 8

Ufyuayig anti-fog safety goggles, 2 pack

Our view

The Ufyuayig two-pack is £8.99, model 260730PGM31, and the URL ASIN matches the details table. The title says anti-fog. There is no customer-reviews line in the file, so fogging, dust and glasses are undescribed by buyers. The page asks whether they fit over prescription glasses and does not answer. Package dimensions are 18.8 × 18.5 × 7.3 cm and the weight is 160 g. Date first available is 1 August 2026. You are looking at a matched ASIN and a title, not a reviewed seal. Until someone wears them, the anti-fog line is only a claim.

Pros

  • URL and details ASIN match
  • £8.99 for two
  • Model number 260730PGM31 is printed
  • Package size and 160 g weight are printed

Cons

  • No customer-reviews line
  • Over-glasses question unanswered
  • Anti-fog is a title claim only
  • No standard in the specification table

Best for: A spare pair you will try on your own face before any dusty job.

WQorphix dust safety glasses, 2 pack

Rank 9

WQorphix dust safety glasses, 2 pack

Our view

The WQorphix two-pack is £7.99 and the title describes windproof dust safety glasses for work and gardening. The department line on the same page says open water swimming goggles. The URL ASIN matches the details table and the model number is AQYJ02ZMUK, so the clash is not an ASIN mix-up. Printed product dimensions are 10 × 10 × 1 cm and the weight is 10 g, which is a very small, light object for a work goggle. There is no customer-reviews line. The page asks about prescription lenses and about ventilation gaps, and it answers neither. That department clash is why the score sits at 0. Do not treat the dust words in the title as evidence that this listing is occupational eye protection.

Pros

  • URL and details ASIN match
  • £7.99 for two
  • Model number AQYJ02ZMUK is printed

Cons

  • Department says open water swimming goggles
  • Printed size 10 × 10 × 1 cm and weight 10 g
  • No customer-reviews line
  • Glasses and ventilation questions are unanswered

Best for: Only if you already know you are buying swimming goggles and you will ignore the dust wording in the title.

Less suitable: Sanding, strimming, gardening dust, or any workplace job that needs a goggle.

How we compared

Nine amazon.co.uk listings were scored from the shelf on 20 October 2026 using listing facts and captured review notes, not a laboratory test. A star rating is not an EN 166 result and not an EN ISO 16321-1 result. Weights before deductions are Amazon evidence 25, frame evidence 30, review notes 25, and price credibility 20. If the details ASIN differs from the URL, the star block is halved. Further deductions can stack: ASIN clash minus 10, no customer-reviews line minus 8, a department line that contradicts the title minus 12, and 2018–2019 review dates against a 17 August 2026 first-available date minus 6. The highest score is the top pick. Best value is the highest price-credibility score on a different ASIN. A cheaper shelf price does not take that mark when the stars may belong to another ASIN.

1

Amazon evidence

25%

Up to 25 points from the star average and a review-volume band. If the details-table ASIN differs from the URL, this block is halved and rounded, because those stars may belong to the other ASIN.

2

Frame evidence

30%

Up to 30 points for vent or coating words in the title, plus points when the URL ASIN equals the details ASIN. A department line that contradicts the title zeroes the claim points and leaves only the ASIN-match points.

3

Review notes

25%

Up to 25 points for captured comments on seal, dust, glasses, fog, and the strap. No review text scores 0 on this block. A star line is not a dust test.

4

Price credibility

20%

Up to 20 points for value inside this set: a matching ASIN, the pack price, and whether wear is described. A low shelf price with an ASIN clash does not become the best value.

Dust goggle buying guide

Start with the hazard and the vent, then the mark on the frame, then fit, then price. Anti-fog in a title is not a result, and a star line is not an EN 166 test. The notes below follow that order for the nine amazon.co.uk listings kept here. None of the scores is a laboratory test, and a goggle does not filter the air you breathe.

What is a dust goggle?

Dust goggles use a head strap and a rim meant to meet the face, so dust and splash have a harder path in than around safety spectacles. Spectacles cannot carry 3 or 4.

Best for

  • Short strimming, sanding, or grinding where the rim must meet the face and you can try the pair
  • Employers who still have an eye hazard after other controls and can match a real frame mark to the assessment

Not ideal for

  • Gas, vapour, or very fine dust unless the goggle is non-vented and marked for that job
  • Anyone treating a clashing details ASIN, or anti-fog in a title, as proof of a seal

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Buying spectacles because the title says goggles

Spectacles cannot carry fields 3 or 4. A rim that does not meet the face leaves a path for dust and splash. Overspecs are still spectacles.

  2. 2

    Trusting anti-fog with no N

N is the optional fogging test. Reviewers on the cheaper vented pairs report misting, including with a face mask. Wash grit off before you wipe, and retire a deeply scratched lens.

  3. 3

    Ignoring an ASIN clash

When the details ASIN differs from the URL, the star line may belong to the other product. A low price does not repair that. Read the frame in your hand before you trust it for dust.

What to weigh up

Hazard, vent, and mark

High

Large dust and liquid droplets need a goggle, not spectacles. JSP's UK marking guide limits field 4 (large dust, above 5 microns) to indirect-vented or non-vented goggles, and field 5 (gas and fine dust) to non-vented goggles. Field 3 is liquid droplets on a goggle, or liquid splash on a face shield. Spectacles cannot carry 3 or 4. Direct holes move air and fog less, and they also let dust and liquid through, so they suit coarse chips and are a poor choice for fine dust or splash.

Fit, fog, and listing honesty

High

HSE L25 says the rim should contact the face and the goggle should not fall off. Arms of everyday glasses can lift that seal. JSP's alternative is an RX insert glazed by an optician. Try the pair. HowseHold reviewers describe a fit over glasses that are not oversized. One Stanley reviewer says that pair will not fit over glasses. One luyunfei reviewer says the rim is not flush to the forehead. Anti-fog is the optional letter N, then a habit. Wash grit off before you wipe.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Short DIY and garden jobs

You want a clear pair for a short strimmer, sander, or grinder job, and you will take it off if it fogs or digs in. The HowseHold eight-pack is the top pick here because the URL matches the details ASIN and reviewers describe wear over glasses that are not oversized.

Spectacle wearers

You need internal volume, or an RX insert so the arms of everyday glasses do not lift the seal. Reviewers say the HowseHold pack fits glasses that are not oversized. A title that says over glasses is still a claim until you try the pair.

Spare pairs on a matched page

You want more than one pair and a page that is not mixing ASINs. The luyunfei four-pack at about £12.99 is the best value in this set. One reviewer says the rim is not flush to the forehead, so check that gap before fine dust.

Common questions about dust goggles

Which dust goggles are the top pick in this set?
The top pick is the HowseHold pack of eight (B0D2P2LM3G), about £16.99 on amazon.co.uk, at 4.5 from 72 reviews. The URL ASIN matches the details table, which is why it scores 76. Reviewers say the goggles fit over glasses that are not oversized. One reviewer reports CE EN166 and ANSI Z87.1 on the frame; the specification table does not print that line. The score uses listing facts and review notes, not a lab test.
How much do dust goggles cost on amazon.co.uk?
In this capture the shelf runs from £1.99 to £16.99. Entry, about £2 to £6: Blackrock £1.99, Stanley £4.21, Zuvo £5.99. Mid, about £8 to £13: WQorphix £7.99, Ufyuayig £8.99, OX indirect vent £9.99, luyunfei £12.99. The upper end of this set is OX deluxe at £14.99 and the HowseHold eight-pack at £16.99. A lower price is not a better seal when the details ASIN differs from the URL.
What should you check before you buy dust goggles?
Match the hazard first: large dust and liquid droplets need a goggle, not spectacles. Then read the vent type and a mark on the lens and frame, not anti-fog in the title. HSE says choose CE or UKCA marked PPE. Check that the rim meets your face, including over prescription glasses if you wear them. Only then compare price. In this set, several specification tables do not print an EN 166 line at all.
When do you need goggles rather than safety glasses?
Use goggles when the rim must meet the face for large dust or liquid droplets. Spectacles cannot carry EN 166 fields 3 or 4. A face shield does not fully enclose the eyes. Open the safety glasses comparison when the hazard is impact and you do not need a seal. Direct vents are a poor choice for fine dust or splash. Field 5, gas and fine dust, applies only to non-vented goggles.
What do EN 166 fields 3, 4 and 5 mean?
Field 3 is liquid droplets on a goggle, or liquid splash on a face shield. Field 4 is large dust above 5 microns, and only on indirect-vented or non-vented goggles. Field 5 is gas and fine dust, only on non-vented goggles. N is the optional fogging test and K is the optional scratch test. How to read the stamp is covered in reading EN 166 markings. A title that says CE is not the stamp. Most tables in this set do not print a full EN 166 line.
Do these goggles fit over prescription glasses?
It depends on the listing, and a title is not a fit. HowseHold reviewers say the pack fits glasses that are not oversized. Zuvo reviews disagree. One Stanley reviewer says that pair is too small, with a close seal, and cannot be used over glasses. luyunfei and Ufyuayig leave the question unanswered. HSE L25 says the rim should contact the face. Arms of everyday glasses can lift that seal. Try the pair, or use an RX insert glazed by an optician.
Does a dust goggle replace a respirator?
No. Goggles do not filter the air you breathe. HSE names splash, dust, projectiles, gas, vapour, and radiation as separate eye hazards, and a sealed goggle still leaves the lungs unprotected. Fine dust or a named chemical that you inhale needs the right respirator as well as eye protection. Welding, lasers, and arc flash need their own eyewear. Call a competent person when you are not qualified to sign that risk assessment.
Why do some pages show a different details ASIN?
On several amazon.co.uk rows in this set the details-table ASIN is not the ASIN in the address bar. The stars on that page may describe the other product. Blackrock, Stanley, Zuvo, and both OX listings clash. HowseHold, luyunfei, Ufyuayig, and WQorphix match. WQorphix still has a department line that says open water swimming goggles. Do not treat a clashing star line as evidence for the picture you are buying.

Our verdict

The top pick is the HowseHold pack of eight at about £16.99. It scores 76, with 4.5 from 72 reviews, and the URL ASIN matches the details table. Reviewers describe wear over glasses that are not oversized, and one reviewer reports CE EN166 and ANSI Z87.1 on the frame, which the specification table does not print. The best value is the luyunfei four-pack at about £12.99, 4.6 from 34 reviews, also with a matching ASIN, for spare pairs if you can accept a forehead gap. Skip a low shelf price when the details ASIN differs from the URL: those stars may belong to another product. Nothing in this set was lab-tested, and a goggle does not filter the air you breathe.
