Felling wedge comparison 2026

The best felling wedges, compared.

Top pick: LDXDRU 6, 8 and 10 inch – Three named lengths plus gloves and a bag put it at the top of the comparison score, with only two ratings and no review text behind the 5.0 line. Best value: kuzuryu 5.5 inch 6-pack – Six short ABS wedges and a mesh bag at about £10.37, if you accept a written-review pool that is mostly United States and you do not need 8 or 10 inch lift. Updated October 2026.

A felling wedge is a plastic or aluminium wedge you drive into the back cut so the kerf cannot close on the bar and the stem lifts toward the notch. On amazon.co.uk the packs compared here are mostly ABS, with barbed or spiked faces, from 5.5 inch to 10 inch. Husqvarna UK looks for a high-impact material that is less likely to wreck the chain than steel, a textured face for wet or frozen wood, and more than one length in the kit. A hardened steel splitting wedge does not belong beside a running saw. The order of those checks sits in the [felling wedge buying guide](/hub/forestry-tools/felling-wedge/sub/felling-wedge-buying-guide). You buy them for small stems and for holding a cut open. Use a steel splitter only on rounds that are already on the ground. The drop-forged wood wedge and the 1.7 kg twisted splitter are out of this comparison. Material beside the saw follows UK: high-impact plastic or aluminium. ’s bullet leaves the material blank while the title says high-impact plastic. A frost-resistant or freeze-resistant line with no figure is not a tested temperature.

A felling wedge is a plastic or aluminium wedge you drive into the back cut so the kerf cannot close on the bar and the stem lifts toward the notch.

The best felling wedges in detail

LDXDRU 6, 8 and 10 inch

Rank 1

LDXDRU 6, 8 and 10 inch

∼£18

Our view

LDXDRU lists at £17.99 with bullets naming 6, 8 and 10 inch ABS wedges, barbed scales, gloves, and a mesh bag. The title says six wedges while the part number contains 8pcs, and how many of each length is not broken out, so unboxing is the only way to settle the count conflict in the file. The header is 5.0 from 2 ratings with no review text captured, which makes the perfect star line unusable as evidence. Freeze-resistant ABS is claimed without a tested temperature. Item weight is 1.44 kg, the heaviest kept pack here. It is the top pick in this comparison on score at 100 because the kit spans three length bands plus gloves, not because thousands of UK buyers validated this exact box. It can suit you if you want that span in one parcel and accept verifying the count yourself, not if you shop by review depth alone.

Pros

  • 6, 8 and 10 inch lengths named in the bullets
  • Gloves and mesh bag stated in the bullets
  • Barbed scales on bright orange ABS
  • Score 100 on the comparison card
  • Covers the longest length band in this batch

Cons

  • 5.0 from 2 with no review text in the file
  • Six-piece title versus 8pcs part number
  • Split count per length not stated
  • Log splitting wedge wording in bullets
  • Heaviest and among the pricier multi-packs

Best for: A kit buyer who wants gloves, a bag, and three length names on the label and will check the wedge count on arrival.

Less suitable: Anyone who relies on hundreds of UK reviews, or who only fells thin stems that never need 10 inch lift.

Common questions

How many wedges are in the box?

The title and a bullet say 6. The part number contains 8pcs. The file does not resolve that.

Are gloves included?

Yes. The bullets list a pair of gloves and a mesh drawstring bag.

What do the two ratings say?

The header is 5.0 from 2. The saved listing has no review text, so no praise or complaint theme is available.

ORETG45 yellow plastic wedge

Rank 2

ORETG45 yellow plastic wedge

∼£10

Our view

The ORETG45 yellow wedge lists at £10.34 with 4.8 out of 5 from 17 ratings, and five short UK reviews sit in the saved listing, which is a clearer UK sample than the large shared AR-PRO pools. The title says high-impact plastic and also splitting, cleaving and splitter, while a bullet says it can help the wood fall toward the notch, which is the felling job. Bullets print both 5 inch and 130 x 70 x 50 mm, and the piece count is not stated, so this is a single wedge purchase, not a six-pack. Material is plastic in the title but blank in one bullet line. Item weight is 375 g. Score 96 is strong in this table because the star line is tied to one listing, not copied across three ASINs. Choose it if you want one compact wedge with a small but UK-heavy review file, not if you need several lengths in one order.

Pros

  • 4.8 from 17 with five UK reviews in the file
  • Score 96 with an independent star line on this ASIN
  • Bullet describes fall toward the notch, a felling use
  • Yellow colour for visibility in brash
  • Low £10.34 price for a single wedge

Cons

  • Title mixes splitting and felling words
  • Piece count not stated
  • 5 inch and metric sizes both printed, which confuses
  • Only one wedge, not a mixed kit
  • 17 ratings is still a thin sample

Best for: A buyer who wants one yellow plastic wedge for occasional small-tree work and values UK-labelled reviews over bulk star lines.

Less suitable: Anyone who needs multiple lengths, a bag, or a clean title without splitter wording.

Common questions

Is this only a splitting wedge?

How many wedges are in the pack?

The saved listing does not state a piece count.

Which size is printed?

The bullets say 5 inch and 130 x 70 x 50 mm. A separate dimensions field says 32 x 10 x 8 cm.

AR-PRO 8 and 5.5 inch

Rank 3

AR-PRO 8 and 5.5 inch

∼£14

Our view

This AR-PRO listing is £14.22 for six ABS wedges, three at 8 inch and three at 5.5 inch, with spikes called felling dogs and a storage bag in the title. The header reads 4.6 from 5,561 reviews, but the same star line and review text appear on B08PP2933Y and B08PNQRCCM, so those thousands of scores are not an independent test of this box. Bullets say ABS while the technical field on this ASIN also says Metal, a conflict you should leave visible rather than resolve. Package mass in the file is 453.59 g, much lighter than the sibling listing at 940 g for the same size mix. Shared reviews report short counts such as five wedges in a six-pack. Amazon’s browse node often surfaces this ASIN as a best seller, yet the honest read is length mix plus price, not the star count alone. It fits you when you want both 5.5 and 8 inch pieces and a bag at the lower AR-PRO price in this scrape.

Pros

  • Three 8 inch and three 5.5 inch wedges with a bag
  • £14.22, lower than the duplicate AR-PRO listing
  • Spikes and felling-dog wording in the bullets
  • Score 92 in the comparison
  • Two lengths cover thin and mid stems in one parcel

Cons

  • 5,561 reviews shared with two other AR-PRO ASINs
  • Metal versus ABS conflict in the raw fields
  • 453 g package mass differs from the other 8 and 5.5 pack
  • Short shipment themes in the shared review text

Best for: A firewood cutter who wants a six-piece mix of 5.5 and 8 inch wedges and can treat the star line as shared marketing.

Less suitable: Anyone who needs 10 inch lift, proof that 5,561 people tested this exact SKU, or a single material field with no conflict.

Common questions

What lengths are in the 6-pack?

Three 8 inch wedges and three 5.5 inch wedges, plus a storage bag in the title.

Is the 5,561-review line unique to this ASIN?

No. The same star line and the same review text are on B08PP2933Y and B08PNQRCCM.

AR-PRO 8 and 5.5 inch

Rank 4

AR-PRO 8 and 5.5 inch

∼£15

Our view

This AR-PRO pack matches B087CR2TG8 on sizes, three 8 inch and three 5.5 inch ABS wedges with a storage bag, but lists at £14.87 with package weight 940 g and dimensions 20.8 x 10.2 x 7.4 cm against the cheaper listing’s 453.59 g. The same 4.6 from 5,561 header and review pool applies, so switching ASINs does not buy you a fresher review sample. The technical field here says Plastic rather than Metal, which removes one conflict present on the cheaper twin but not the shared stars. Bullets describe raised spikes and chainsaw hits without huge damage to the saw, the usual plastic felling claim. Unless shelf price or the heavier parcel matters to you, the £14.22 listing is the better value step between these two identical size mixes.

Pros

  • Same 3 x 8 inch and 3 x 5.5 inch mix as the cheaper AR-PRO
  • Plastic stated consistently in bullets and spec field
  • Storage bag in the title
  • Score 92
  • Heavier 940 g parcel may feel denser in hand

Cons

  • About 65 pence more than B087CR2TG8 in this capture
  • Shared 5,561 review pool with two other ASINs
  • No independent proof the reviews describe this box weight
  • Log-splitting wording still appears in bullets

Best for: Buyers who prefer the Plastic spec field without the Metal line and accept paying slightly more than the twin listing.

Less suitable: Price-led shoppers who can take the Metal field conflict on the cheaper ASIN, or anyone who needs 10 inch pieces.

Common questions

How is this different from the other 8 and 5.5 inch AR-PRO listing?

The size mix matches B087CR2TG8. This one is £14.87, package 940 g and 20.8 x 10.2 x 7.4 cm, and the spec field says Plastic rather than Metal.

Which length does the listing call the large one?

The bullet calls 5.5 inch the medium size and 8 inch the large size. That is listing language, not a measured tree diameter.

Do the reviews belong only to this pack?

The review text is shared with two other AR-PRO ASINs, including reports of 5 wedges or 3 large wedges in a 6-pack box.

AR-PRO 10, 8 and 5.5 inch

Rank 5

AR-PRO 10, 8 and 5.5 inch

∼£21

Our view

The dearest kept pack is £21.49 for six ABS wedges, two each of 10, 8 and 5.5 inch, with raised spikes and a storage bag in the title. It carries the same 4.6 from 5,561 line as the other AR-PRO ASINs, and the shared review texts talk about two sizes and mismatched counts, not this three-length mix. Package weight is 1.2 kg. Bullets repeat the chainsaw-hit and log-splitting language while describing the back cut. You pay the top of this scrape’s price band to own 10 inch pieces without buying Poweka’s two-pack alone, yet the star evidence does not prove those 10 inch wedges were what reviewers held. It fits a buyer who wants every length band in one AR-PRO bag and understands the review pool is marketing-shared, not a lab result.

Pros

  • Two each of 10, 8 and 5.5 inch in one bag
  • Storage bag in the title
  • ABS plastic in bullets and technical field
  • Score 92
  • Only AR-PRO pack with 10 inch in the titled mix

Cons

  • £21.49, highest price in the kept set
  • 5,561 shared reviews do not describe this three-length mix
  • Shared texts mention wrong counts for six-packs
  • Log-splitting bullet wording beside felling use

Best for: An experienced cutter who wants 10, 8 and 5.5 inch spares together and treats plastic wedges as replaceable consumables.

Less suitable: Budget-first buyers, thin-stem-only work, or anyone who reads 5,561 as proof this exact mix was tested.

Common questions

kuzuryu 5.5 inch 6-pack

Rank 6

kuzuryu 5.5 inch 6-pack

∼£10

Our view

The kuzuryu six-pack lists at £10.37 on amazon.co.uk with six identical 5.5 inch ABS wedges, anti-slip teeth, and a mesh bag in the title. The header is 4.5 out of 5 from 115 ratings, but the written reviews in the capture are mostly United States reviews, with one UK line calling them short wedges for thinner trees. Bullets aim the set at saplings and brush, which matches how you would use a pocket-length wedge on a small garden stem. A US review in the same pool says the size bought was too small for the tree, so treat 5.5 inch as a thin-stem tool, not a substitute for 8 or 10 inch lift. Package weight is 690 g, so the bag is easy to carry, yet plastic wedges are consumable and reviews describe tips that chip once the saw has worked them hard. At this price for six pieces it is the best value pick in the table if you accept the review geography and only need short lift.

Pros

  • Six 5.5 inch wedges and a mesh bag at £10.37
  • Angled anti-slip teeth stated in the bullets
  • Light 690 g parcel for a spare in the kit
  • Score 90 with 115 ratings on the header line
  • Sold explicitly as logging wedges, not a steel splitter

Cons

  • Written reviews are mostly US, not UK-labelled
  • One length only, no 8 or 10 inch piece in the box
  • Too small for wide stems according to a US review
  • Plastic will wear and can be eaten by the saw over time

Best for: A householder cutting thin garden stems who wants several short wedges and a bag without paying for mixed lengths.

Less suitable: Wide hardwood stems, work that needs 8 or 10 inch lift, or anyone who wants a large UK review sample before buying.

Yes. The title is six 5.5 inch wedges. There is no 8 inch or 10 inch piece in this listing.

Does the listing include a bag?

Yes. The title and the bullets include a mesh bag.

Will they suit a large tree?

The bullets aim them at saplings and brush. A UK review calls them a short wedge for thinner trees. One US review says a bought size was too small.

QWORK 6 inch 4-pack

Rank 7

QWORK 6 inch 4-pack

∼£11

Our view

The QWORK four-pack is £10.99 for four bright orange 6 inch ABS wedges with barbed scales and a feed groove in the bullets. It scores 4.5 from 68 ratings on the header, but that star line and the review text are shared with the mixed five-pack B0F6LQQ71V, so you cannot treat the 68 count as proof of this four-pack alone. The title also says log splitter wedge, while the comparison fields describe a felling wedge, which is the usual amazon.co.uk wording clash rather than a steel tool. Frost resistance is claimed without a Celsius figure. A German review in the shared pool says the wedges feel smooth at first and might slip, while UK lines in the same pool call them strong. Package weight is 430 g and no bag is named in the bullets. Choose it when you want a single 6 inch length in high-visibility orange and can ignore the shared review pool.

Pros

  • Four 6 inch wedges at £10.99, one length only
  • Bright orange ABS with barbed scales stated
  • Longitudinal feed groove in the bullets
  • Score 90 in this comparison table
  • Clearer felling wording than some splitter-titled rivals

Cons

  • 4.5 from 68 is shared with B0F6LQQ71V
  • Log splitter appears in the title
  • No bag in the bullets
  • Slip at first strike mentioned in the shared pool

Best for: Someone who cuts mostly one stem size and wants four matching 6 inch wedges in orange.

Less suitable: Buyers who need two lengths in one parcel, or who want independent star counts per ASIN.

What are they made of?

The bullets say ABS plastic with barbed scales and a longitudinal groove. A frost-resistant claim has no temperature.

Are the 68 reviews only for this 4-pack?

The saved listing carries the same star line and the same review text as the 5-pack. Treat them as one shared pool.

QWORK 6 and 8 inch 5-pack

Rank 8

QWORK 6 and 8 inch 5-pack

∼£16

Our view

The mixed QWORK five-pack costs £16.45 and contains three 6 inch and two 8 inch orange ABS wedges with barbed scales and a profiled grain. Like the four-pack, it shares 4.5 from 68 ratings and the same review text with B0F6LVTZLP, so the header is not a separate vote for the five-piece mix. The title again pairs felling wedge with log splitter wedge. A UK review in the shared pool mentions a drawstring mesh bag even though the bullets do not promise one. Frost-resistant ABS is claimed without a temperature. Package weight is 880 g. It is the QWORK choice when you want 6 and 8 inch together rather than four identical 6 inch pieces, if you can live with the shared star line and the splitter title noise.

Pros

  • Three 6 inch and two 8 inch wedges in one pack
  • Barbed scales and feed groove stated
  • Bright orange ABS
  • Score 90
  • Two lengths without jumping to the dearest AR-PRO three-length pack

Cons

  • 68-review header shared with the four-pack ASIN
  • Log splitter in the title
  • Bag only mentioned in a review, not bullets
  • £16.45 is mid-band, not the cheapest mixed set

Best for: Someone stepping up from a single-length 6 inch pack who wants an 8 inch pair in the same order.

Less suitable: Buyers who treat star counts as ASIN-specific evidence, or who need 10 inch and 5.5 inch in one bag.

Poweka 10 inch 2-pack

Rank 9

Poweka 10 inch 2-pack

∼£13

Our view

Poweka sells two 10 inch orange ABS wedges for £12.99, spiked on one side and smooth on the reverse so they can overlap when you need more leverage on a larger diameter. The header is 4.3 from 38 ratings, with ten UK reviews in the file, which is a more readable sample than the 5,561-line shared AR-PRO packs. Bullets say the design helps stop the bar being pinched and that two or more wedges add leverage, without giving a millimetre lift figure. Package weight is 597 g. One UK review says only one wedge arrived against a two-pack title, which is an individual shipment complaint, not a measured defect rate. They suit you when 10 inch is the lift you lack and you want a pair rather than a six-piece mix, provided you check the box count on delivery.

Pros

  • Two 10 inch wedges at £12.99
  • Smooth reverse for overlapping a second wedge
  • High-visibility orange ABS
  • Ten UK reviews in the capture
  • Logging wedge wording, not sold as steel splitter

Cons

  • 4.3 is the weakest star average among kept six-packs
  • One UK review reports a single wedge delivered
  • Only two pieces, no smaller spare length included
  • No bag stated in the bullets

Best for: Firewood or garden work where you already use shorter wedges and need a 10 inch pair for wider stems.

Less suitable: Thin stems that only need 5.5 or 6 inch lift, or buyers who want six mixed lengths in one bag.

How we compared

Nine amazon.co.uk felling-wedge listings were kept for this page. Steel splitters that do not belong beside a running saw were left out. Scores follow the listing fields and the review lines. This is not a lab test. Where two or three ASINs share one star line and the same review text, that line is treated as shared, not as a fresh sample for each box.

1

Material beside the saw

25%

Husqvarna UK specifies high-impact plastic or aluminium so the wedge is less likely to wreck the chain than steel. ABS claims are taken from the bullets, including conflicts such as a Metal spec field.

2

Length and count

25%

5.5 and 6 inch suit thinner stems. 8 and 10 inch are the longer options in these titles. Husqvarna says one, two or three wedges may be needed, and a spare covers chipped tips.

3

Grip and colour

15%

Barbed scales, spikes or a groove are the anti-slip claims. A smooth start is a complaint on the shared QWORK reviews. Orange or yellow answers UK notes about wedges lost in brash.

4

Parcel contents

20%

Titles promise 4, 5 or 6 pieces, sometimes with a bag or gloves. Part-number clashes, shared short-count reviews and a one-of-two delivery note stay visible.

5

Review evidence

15%

Star lines and written reviews are used only with their geography and their sharing. 5,561 and 68 are not counted once per ASIN. A 5.0 from two ratings with no text is not treated as proof.

Felling wedge buying guide

Choose a felling wedge when the back cut might pinch the bar or the stem might sit back. Choose a steel splitter only after the round is on the ground. The checks, in order, are the job, the material beside the saw, the length and the piece count, the grip and the colour, then what the parcel actually contains. Pocket lengths in this table are 5.5 and 6 inch. The longer titles are 8 and 10 inch. Orange or yellow is the practical answer when UK reviews mention wedges lost in brash.

What is a felling wedge?

A felling wedge is a plastic or aluminium wedge driven into the back cut so the kerf cannot close on the bar and the stem lifts toward the notch. On amazon.co.uk the packs in this batch are mostly ABS, with barbed or spiked faces, in lengths from 5.5 inch to 10 inch. You buy them for small stems and for holding a cut open.

Best for

  • Householders on a small sound garden tree who still check a tree preservation order
  • Firewood cutters who treat cheap plastic wedges as consumable

Not ideal for

  • Anyone driving a hardened steel splitting wedge into a running kerf
  • A hung-up tree, a dead crown, or a stem beyond your training

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Buying steel from the wedge shelf

The browse node also surfaces hardened splitting wedges. Those are for rounds already on the ground. They do not belong in the kerf of a running saw.

    Cutting the hinge

The wedge lifts the stem toward the notch. It does not replace the notch, the hinge or the escape route. Keep your hand off the head of the wedge while you strike it.

    Reading 5,561 as one pack

Three AR-PRO ASINs share 4.6 from 5,561 and the same review text. Two QWORK ASINs share 4.5 from 68. Those lines are not a separate test of each box.

What to weigh up

Material beside the saw

High

Husqvarna UK specifies high-impact plastic or aluminium beside a running chain, because that material is less likely to wreck the chain than steel. In this table, QWORK, Poweka, kuzuryu, LDXDRU and the AR-PRO bullets say ABS. Treat that as a listing claim, not a lab certificate. AR-PRO B087CR2TG8 is the awkward row: the bullets say ABS and the technical field says Metal. Both lines are on the listing, so the cell stays split rather than being tidied into one material.

Length and count

High

5.5 inch and 6 inch wedges suit thinner stems and a pocket. 8 inch and 10 inch wedges are the longer options printed in these titles. Husqvarna says one, two or three wedges may be needed, and reviews describe tips that chip or snap, so a spare belongs in the bag. The kuzuryu pack is six identical 5.5 inch wedges. The QWORK four-pack is four 6 inch wedges. ORETG45 prints 5 inch and 130 x 70 x 50 mm, and does not state a piece count.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Garden stems

You are cutting a small sound tree in a garden and you still check whether a tree preservation order applies. A short ABS wedge is the usual tool for a thin stem. The kuzuryu 5.5 inch six-pack matches if you want several pocket-length wedges and a mesh bag.

Firewood rounds

You already cut small timber and you want longer lift on wider stems, knowing plastic wedges chip and get replaced. The Poweka pair is two 10 inch orange wedges with a smooth reverse so they can overlap. It is a pair, not a six-piece mix of lengths.

Felling at work

At work, HSE expects chainsaw training and a certificate for work on or in a tree, unless you are in supervised training. CS 30/31 alone is thin cover for large or awkward fells. The LDXDRU set names 6, 8 and 10 inch plus gloves, and you still check the piece count on arrival.

Common questions about felling wedges

What does a felling wedge do?
A felling wedge is driven into the back cut so the kerf cannot close on the chainsaw bar and the stem lifts toward the notch. Husqvarna UK describes plastic or aluminium wedges for that job, and says you may need one, two or three. It does not replace the notch, the hinge or an escape route. A steel splitting wedge is for timber already on the ground.
Which felling wedge is the top pick here?
The top pick is the LDXDRU set at about £17.99. The bullets name 6, 8 and 10 inch ABS wedges, barbed scales, gloves and a mesh bag, which is why the comparison score is 100. The header is 5.0 from two ratings and there is no written review text, so that star line is not evidence. The title says six pieces and the part number contains 8pcs, so check the count on arrival.
Which felling wedge is the best value?
The best value pick is the kuzuryu 5.5 inch six-pack at about £10.37, with anti-slip teeth and a mesh bag. The header is 4.5 from 115 ratings. Written reviews in the capture are mostly from the United States, with one UK note that they are short wedges for thinner trees and can be eaten by the saw. Skip it if you need 8 or 10 inch lift.
How much do these felling wedges cost?
On the kept amazon.co.uk listings, entry packs sit at about £10 to £13: ORETG45 at about £10.34, kuzuryu at about £10.37, the QWORK four-pack at about £10.99 and Poweka at about £12.99. Mid packs are about £14 to £18, including both AR-PRO two-length packs, the QWORK five-pack at about £16.45 and LDXDRU at about £17.99. The dearest kept pack is the AR-PRO three-length set at about £21.49. STIHL shop prices are not these amazon.co.uk prices.
Can I use a steel splitting wedge in the kerf?
A hardened steel splitting wedge does not belong beside a running saw. Use it on rounds that are already on the ground. Husqvarna UK specifies high-impact plastic or aluminium in the kerf because steel is more likely to wreck the chain. See the splitting wedge comparison for that other tool. The Amtech drop-forged wedge and the Rotatech twisted splitter were left out of this table for the same reason.
Do 5,561 reviews belong to one AR-PRO pack?
No. Three AR-PRO ASINs, B087CR2TG8, B08PP2933Y and B08PNQRCCM, share 4.6 from 5,561 and the same review text. Two QWORK ASINs share 4.5 from 68. Those figures are the header lines on the listings, not a separate sample for each box. Shared AR-PRO text talks about two sizes and short counts, which does not describe the three-length pack at about £21.49.
When is a felling licence needed in England?
In England, the Forestry Act 1967 and GOV.UK require a felling licence for growing trees over 8 cm, or 15 cm for coppice or underwood, measured at 1.3 m, unless an exemption applies. Above those diameters, more than 5 cubic metres in a calendar quarter needs a licence, and at most 2 cubic metres of that may be sold. Gardens are among the exemptions. A garden exemption does not cancel a tree preservation order. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland use their own rules.
When should I stop and call a feller?
Stop and call a competent feller if the lean is wrong, the tree is hung up, something you must protect sits underneath, the job needs a winch, the crown is dead, or the stem is beyond your training. At work, HSE expects chainsaw training and a certificate for work on or in a tree, unless the work is supervised training. CS 30/31 alone is thin cover for a large or awkward fell. The 2018 Forestry Commission eAlert says minimise hammering wedges into dead ash.

Our verdict

The LDXDRU 6, 8 and 10 inch set is the top pick because the bullets name three length bands plus gloves and a mesh bag, at about £17.99. The 5.0 from two ratings has no review text, so that score is not a crowd verdict. The kuzuryu 5.5 inch six-pack is the best value at about £10.37 when you only need short lift on thin stems. A hardened steel splitting wedge stays off this table.
