Eufy camera comparison 2026

The best eufy cameras, compared.

Top pick: eufy Security eufyCam E40 Add-On Camera, Solar Security Camera, Easy set-up Best value: eufy Security IndoorCam E220 – Best score for the shelf price, at about £39.99, for an indoor plug-in pan-tilt with HomeKit on the listing. Updated October 2026.

An eufy camera is a Wi-Fi home camera from security brand. It records to a microSD card, built-in memory, or a, and it is sold on the promise that you do not need a monthly cloud plan to keep clips. Tell the models apart by the job: a plug-in pan-tilt indoors, a battery camera with a solar panel outdoors, or a wired head if you want recording through the day. The add-on does not run without a HomeBase S380 or a HomeBase 2. What “no monthly fee” does not cover, including a card and a temporary thumbnail upload, is in the [local storage guide](/hub/electronic-surveillance/eufy-camera/sub/eufy-camera-local-storage). You still need to read where those clips actually sit, because a card is often extra and a stolen camera can take the only copy. Indoor plug-in pan-tilt cameras here are the E220 and the C220. Outdoor battery cameras, with a hub optional, are the S220 and a lone C35. The wired pan-tilt comes as a white single, a black single, and a white two-pack. Doorbells, light strings, and loose solar panels are not this comparison.

An eufy camera is a Wi-Fi home camera from security brand. It records to a microSD card, built-in memory, or a, and it is sold on the promise that you do not need a monthly cloud plan to keep clips.

The best eufy cameras in detail

eufy Security eufyCam E40 Add-On Camera, Solar Security Camera, Easy set-up

Rank 1

eufy Security eufyCam E40 Add-On Camera, Solar…

∼£90

Our view

The eufyCam E40 add-on is an outdoor solar camera that reviewers call sharp by day and at night, including colour night vision without a harsh spotlight, once it is paired to a hub. amazon.co.uk lists the T8144 at £89.99 with 4.5 stars from 200 reviews. The listing says it cannot run without a HomeBase S380 or a HomeBase 2, so it is not a first camera on its own. Buyers who already run a HomeBase 3 describe an easy add-on, and more than one says the solar panel kept the camera up through a UK winter. The bullets mention local storage with no monthly fee. One buyer could not read a number plate at 10 to 15 metres, and another calls the app sluggish. Several of the 200 reviews are short praise, and one names a SoloCam E40 rather than this add-on title. eufy’s compatibility table marks SoloCam E40 as not HomeKit, so a bullet that names Apple HomeKit is not a settled claim. A 4.5 from 200 reviews is a small sample next to the S220.

Pros

  • Sharp day and night picture, including colour night vision without a harsh spotlight
  • Solar panel kept the camera up through a UK winter for more than one buyer
  • Easy add-on once a HomeBase 3 is already running

Cons

  • Listing states the camera cannot run without HomeBase S380 or HomeBase 2
  • Number plates at 10 to 15 metres were unreadable for one buyer
  • App described as sluggish

Best for: An extra outdoor camera on a HomeBase S380 or HomeBase 2 you already run.

Less suitable: A first camera with no hub.

Common questions

Can the E40 work without a HomeBase?

The listing note says the add-on requires HomeBase S380 or HomeBase 2, sold separately, and cannot function independently.

What power and resolution does the listing state?

Power source is Solar Powered and batteries required is Yes. A bullet pairs a built-in solar panel with a 13,000 mAh battery. Effective still resolution is 3.7 MP, and the bullets say 2K QHD MaxColor night vision. Field of view is 135 degrees. Weather rating is IP66.

Which voice assistants are named?

Controller type is Google Assistant. A separate bullet says Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Assistant. eufy’s compatibility table marks SoloCam E40 as not HomeKit, so do not treat that bullet as settled. Other special features include 2 Way Audio.

eufy Security Solo IndoorCam E220 (P24), 2K, Pan&Tilt, No Monthly Fee

Rank 2

eufy Security Solo IndoorCam E220 (P24), 2K,…

∼£40

Our view

The Solo IndoorCam E220 pans a full circle and tilts 96°, and buyers use that sweep to follow a person or a pet around one indoor room on a plug. amazon.co.uk lists the T8410 at £39.99 with 4.4 stars from 9,215 reviews, though the visible reviews include other eufy models, so that count is not a pure E220 set. Reviewers who are on this camera praise a straightforward set-up, a solid Wi-Fi link, and a picture they call clearer than the older indoor camera they replaced. A timeline, including continuous recording, needs a microSD card, and the specification block does not say a card is in the box. The item highlight says HomeBase is not compatible, and review notes say it will not sit on an S380 beside a doorbell. HomeKit is a separate set-up path, and the listing caps that path at 1080p even though the bullets say up to 2K. One long-term user lost motion events and HomeKit recording during a past eufy outage until the service returned. On price against the score in this table, it is the best value.

Pros

  • Straightforward set-up and a solid Wi-Fi link for an indoor pan-tilt
  • Picture called clearer than older indoor cameras the buyers replaced
  • Pan, tilt, and motion tracking for a room or a pet
  • Local recording on a microSD card, including continuous recording if a card is fitted

Cons

  • Does not pair with an S380 HomeBase
  • HomeKit path is a separate set-up, and the listing itself caps HomeKit at 1080p
  • Several visible reviews describe other models, so the 9,215 count is not a pure E220 sample

Best for: Indoor plug-in pan-and-tilt, including HomeKit on the listing.

Less suitable: A set that must sit on a HomeBase.

Common questions

Does the E220 work with a HomeBase?

The item highlight on amazon.co.uk for B086KZ8X6S says HomeBase is not compatible. Review notes also say it does not pair with an S380 HomeBase.

Is the E220 for indoors, and how is it powered?

The listing says indoor use and Corded Electric. Batteries required is No. The box lists a USB adapter and a USB cable.

What resolution does the listing state, including HomeKit?

eufy Security S220 SoloCam Solar Security Camera Outdoor Wireless (2-pack)

Rank 3

eufy Security S220 SoloCam Solar Security Camera…

∼£70

Our view

The S220 SoloCam is a battery camera with a built-in solar panel that several buyers say held its charge in English weather, after a screw-mount and a quick Wi-Fi join. amazon.co.uk lists this T8134 at £69.99 with 4.4 stars from 5,691 reviews, and the visible reviews are mostly this S220. The title says a 2-pack, while Number of Items and Number of Packs are both 1, so you should not assume two cameras until the box arrives. Reviewers describe a clear picture, including at night, and on-device storage. The highlight says built-in 4 GB, and the camera can run without a hub, with HomeBase S380 optional. The specification says Night Color, while a bullet names infrared LEDs. Notifications get annoying if you leave sensitivity high, until you tighten the zones. Thumbnail previews on push alerts are described as a temporary upload, and one early review needed eufy support before the camera behaved. A bullet asks for about three hours of sunlight a day. It is the top pick here because it has the highest listing score, not because it won a lab test.

Pros

  • Easy screw-mount install and a quick Wi-Fi join
  • Picture described as clear, including at night
  • Built-in solar panel held charge in English weather for several buyers
  • No monthly fee, with on-device storage or a HomeBase 3 option mentioned

Cons

  • Notifications get annoying if sensitivity is left high
  • Push alerts with thumbnail previews are described as a temporary upload
  • Number of Items is 1 while the title says 2-pack

Best for: Outdoor wireless cameras that can see daylight, without a hub.

Less suitable: A buyer who needs the pack count to match on the specification block.

Common questions

Is this one camera or two?

The listing title says 2-pack. Number of Items is 1 and Number of Packs is 1. Included components is given as 2. The lines do not agree, so check the box before you plan on two cameras.

Does the S220 need a HomeBase?

A bullet says it is powerful on its own, and that HomeBase S380 adds facial recognition. The highlight says HomeBase 3 compatible. It does not say the camera cannot run alone.

What does the listing say about solar and night vision?

Power source is Solar Powered, Battery Powered. A bullet says three hours of sunlight daily keeps the camera running. Night vision on the specification is Night Color, range 32.8 feet, while another bullet names infrared LEDs. The no-monthly-fee bullet says thumbnail previews are stored in the cloud temporarily.

eufy Security Indoor/Outdoor Camera C31, Spotlight-Free Color Night Vision

Rank 4

eufy Security Indoor/Outdoor Camera C31,…

∼£50

Our view

The white Cam C31 is a wired pan-and-tilt head that reviewers in a small shared sample fit for a clear picture at this price, with colour night vision once a card or a hub is in place. amazon.co.uk lists the T817L at £49.99 with 4.4 stars from 135 reviews, a count shared with the black single and the two-pack. Recording needs a microSD card or a HomeBase Mini, and the card is not included, so a camera that has joined Wi-Fi can still have an empty timeline. One buyer says the colour-night claim is still infrared, and another calls the detection weaker than the other eufy cameras in the same house. One unit stopped joining Wi-Fi after about a month and would not rejoin. The specification says indoor use while the bullets say indoor or outdoor and IP66, so read both lines before you mount it outside. The camera is not compatible with HomeBase 2.

Pros

  • Easy fit and a clear picture for the money
  • Colour night vision praised, with a reminder to buy a microSD card
  • No subscription for local recording
  • 360 degree pan and tilt on a small wired head

Cons

  • One buyer says the colour-night claim is still infrared
  • One unit stopped joining Wi-Fi after about a month
  • The 135-review line is shared with the other C31 listings

Best for: A wired pan-and-tilt head where a card or HomeBase Mini can store the clips.

Less suitable: HomeBase 2, or a buyer who will not add a card or a hub.

The specification block says Indoor. The bullets say inside or out, with IP66 water and dust resistance. The highlight also states IP66.

What night vision and pan range does the listing state?

eufy Security Indoor/Outdoor Camera C31, Spotlight-Free Color Night Vision

Rank 5

eufy Security Indoor/Outdoor Camera C31,…

∼£50

Our view

The black Cam C31 is the same wired T817L head in a black finish, and the praise in the shared sample is an easy fit, a clear picture, pan and tilt, and colour night vision if you add a card. amazon.co.uk lists it at £49.99 with 4.4 stars from 135 reviews, the same parent sample as the white single and the two-pack. On-device recording needs a microSD card that is not included, or a HomeBase Mini. The bullets describe a wired camera, while the specification line says batteries are required, so those two lines do not agree. One buyer says colour night vision is still infrared, and another finds person detection weaker than their other eufy cameras. A unit in the sample stopped connecting to Wi-Fi after about a month. HomeBase 2 is not compatible. Dimensions and weight are not stated on this listing.

Pros

  • Easy fit and a clear picture for the money
  • Colour night vision praised if you add a microSD card
  • Pan and tilt on a wired indoor or outdoor head, black version of the C31

Cons

  • One buyer says colour night vision is still infrared
  • A unit stopped connecting to Wi-Fi after about a month
  • Spec line says batteries required: Yes while the bullets describe a wired connection

Best for: The black C31 head, with a card or HomeBase Mini for storage.

Less suitable: HomeBase 2, or a buyer who needs dimensions from this listing.

eufy Security Indoor/Outdoor Camera C31 2 Pack, Color Night Vision

Rank 6

eufy Security Indoor/Outdoor Camera C31 2 Pack,…

∼£80

Our view

The C31 two-pack is two wired pan-and-tilt heads, and at least one buyer in the shared sample linked them into an existing eufy set for a clear picture and colour night vision. amazon.co.uk lists the pack at £79.99 with 4.4 stars from 135 reviews, the same line as the single C31 listings, so it is not a separate test of two cameras. You still need a microSD card, which is not included, or a HomeBase Mini or HomeBase 3, or the heads will not record. The listing is not compatible with HomeBase 2 or HomeKit. One buyer says the colour-night claim is still infrared, and another calls detection the weakest of four eufy cameras they use. One camera in the sample stopped joining Wi-Fi after about a month. The specification says indoor while the bullets say indoor and outdoor, IP66. Batteries required is No, and the bullets describe continuous wired power.

Pros

  • Easy fit and a clear picture for the money
  • Colour night vision praised, with a reminder to buy a microSD card
  • No subscription for local recording

Cons

  • One buyer says the colour-night claim is still infrared
  • One camera stopped joining Wi-Fi after about a month
  • Spec line says indoor while the bullets say IP66 indoor and outdoor

eufy Security Indoor Cam C220, 2K Security Camera with 360° Pan & Tilt

Rank 7

eufy Security Indoor Cam C220, 2K Security Camera…

∼£129

Our view

The Indoor Cam C220 is a plug-in 2K pan-and-tilt camera that buyers in a small UK sample use to watch a dog, talk through two-way audio, and get motion notices they describe as quick. amazon.co.uk lists the T8W11 at £129.00 with 4.4 stars from 48 reviews, and 27 UK reviews in the notes are about this camera. Recording needs a memory card up to 128 GB, and the card is not described as included. One buyer says the app would not identify the camera and pushed a pro mode, and another found the supplied USB cables failed and used spares. Motion sensitivity stays keen even on the lowest setting. Android playback audio stuttered for one buyer after a few weeks. The item highlight says plug-in, while batteries required on the specification block is Yes. The specification block does not name a weather rating or a hub path, so this is a thin listing next to the cheaper E220.

Pros

  • Easy set-up and a clear picture, including night vision, for watching a dog
  • Motion notices described as quick
  • Remote viewing from the phone works for buyers who already use the eufy app

Cons

  • One buyer says the app would not identify the camera and pushed a pro mode
  • Recording needs a memory card, which is not described as included
  • Motion sensitivity stays keen even on the lowest setting

Best for: An indoor 2K pan-and-tilt camera on a plug, with a card added.

Less suitable: A buyer who needs a stated weather rating or a stated hub path.

A bullet says there is no monthly fee for notifications or recording, and that you insert a microSD card up to 128 GB. The card is not described as included.

Does the listing state colour night vision or a hub?

The specification block does not state night vision, a weather rating, two-way audio, listed assistants, or hub compatibility. The bullets do state 2K, human detection, 360° pan and tilt, and a privacy mode that turns the camera away.

eufy Security Camera Outdoor Wireless, eufyCam C35, Outdoor and Indoor Camera

Rank 8

eufy Security Camera Outdoor Wireless, eufyCam C35,…

∼£45

Our view

The single eufyCam C35 is a battery camera you can mount with little wiring, and some buyers fix it with a magnet, then rely on the colour night vision in the highlight for the clip. amazon.co.uk lists the T8110 at £44.99 with 4.3 stars from 1,745 reviews, the same review line as the two-pack, and that line also mentions other models such as the C210. Buyers who added a separate solar charger say the battery held up. The highlight says a solar panel is compatible, and this box does not state that the panel is included. Storage is a microSD card, which is not included, or a HomeBase Mini. A reviewer who already owns E2C cameras says it will not work with HomeBase 2. One UK reviewer could not create the app account on the first attempt, and another says charging failed after about a year. Video capture resolution on this listing is 1080p, while the two-pack listing states 2K.

Pros

  • Wireless mounting with little wiring, including magnetic fixing
  • Clear picture and colour night vision praised on the C35 kit reviews in this shared sample
  • Subscription-free local storage, with an SD card or HomeBase Mini

Cons

  • Does not work with HomeBase 2, according to a reviewer who already owns E2C cameras
  • Solar panel is compatible, not clearly in this single-camera box
  • The 1,745-review line is a shared sample

Best for: One wireless camera where a HomeBase 2 is not required.

Less suitable: A HomeBase 2 set, or a buyer who needs the panel in the box.

eufy Security Camera Outdoor Wireless, eufyCam C35 2 Pack with HomeBase Mini

Rank 9

eufy Security Camera Outdoor Wireless, eufyCam C35…

∼£155

Our view

The C35 two-pack puts two wireless cameras and a HomeBase Mini in one box, which is the set buyers in the shared sample say they wanted for a wireless join and clips stored on the camera or the hub. amazon.co.uk lists it at £155.00 with 4.3 stars from 1,745 reviews, the same line as the single C35, and that line mentions other models. Colour night vision is praised in that shared sample. A microSD card is not included, even though the hub is. The kit will not pair with HomeBase 2. One reviewer could not create the app account before the camera could be used, and one review in this shared sample describes a charging fault after about a year. You are paying for the hub in the box, not for a separate test of this ASIN. This listing’s video capture resolution is 2K, while the single C35 listing states 1080p. A waterproof rating is not stated here.

Pros

  • Two cameras plus HomeBase Mini described as an easy wireless set-up
  • Clear picture and colour night vision in the shared sample
  • Subscription-free storage on the camera or the hub

Cons

  • Will not pair with HomeBase 2
  • The 1,745-review line is shared with the single C35
  • Charging trouble after about a year in one review

Best for: Two wireless cameras with a HomeBase Mini in the same box.

Less suitable: A HomeBase 2 system.

How we compared

Scores use only the amazon.co.uk listing fields and the review notes for this set. Nothing is added from another shop or from a magazine score, and this is not a lab test. Star points are the amazon.co.uk star rating times 16, so 4.4 is 70.4 and 4.5 is 72. Volume points come from the review count on that same listing: 12 points at 5,000 or more, 8 from 1,000 to 4,999, 4 from 200 to 999, 2 from 100 to 199, and 0 under 100. The total is rounded to the nearest whole number. Three points come off when the review count is shared with another ASIN or the visible sample names other models. Two points come off once, on the S220, because the title says 2-pack while Number of Items is 1. A hub you must already own, a missing memory card, and a weather-line clash stay in the assessment. They are not extra score penalties. The top pick is the highest score in this set. Best value is the best score for the GBP shelf price.

The star rating on that listing is multiplied by 16. A 5.0 would be 80 points before the review-count band is added. A 4.4 is 70.4 and a 4.5 is 72. The figure is the amazon.co.uk rating printed for that ASIN.

Review count on the same listing

13%

Volume points use the review count on the same amazon.co.uk listing: 12 at 5,000 or more, 8 from 1,000 to 4,999, 4 from 200 to 999, 2 from 100 to 199, and 0 under 100. A shared count, or a sample that names other models, loses 3 points. A listing that contradicts itself on a fact you need before you buy loses 2, applied once here to the S220 pack count.

Eufy camera buying guide

Choose the job before the resolution. A plug-in pan-tilt covers one indoor room. A battery camera with a solar panel covers a patch of garden if that wall sees daylight. A wired head is the one these listings tie to recording through the day. The E40 is only an extra camera if you already have the right HomeBase. Prices below are amazon.co.uk shelf prices from 19 October 2026.

What is an eufy camera?

An eufy camera is a Wi-Fi home camera from Anker’s security brand. It records to a microSD card, to memory built into the camera, or to a HomeBase. The sales line is that you do not need a monthly cloud plan to keep clips. You still need to read where those clips actually sit, because a card is often extra and a stolen camera can take the only copy. The models on this page split by job. Indoor plug-in pan-tilt cameras here are the E220 (T8410) and the C220 (T8W11).

Best for

  • A hallway or a pet on a plug-in indoor pan-tilt
  • Outdoor cameras on a wall that gets daylight

Not ideal for

  • A first camera if you only have the E40 and no HomeBase
  • A view of a neighbour, the street, or a communal path

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Expecting the E40 to work alone

The listing says the add-on needs HomeBase S380 or HomeBase 2 and cannot run independently. It is an extra camera for a hub you already have, not a starter kit.

  2. 2

    Pairing a new C31 or C35 to HomeBase 2

C31 notes say HomeBase Mini or HomeBase 3, not HomeBase 2. The shared C35 sample says these small cameras do not pair with HomeBase 2. A HomeBase you already own is not automatically the right hub.

  3. 3

A 5 GHz name, no card, or a north wall

Many of these cameras are 2.4 GHz only. The C31 will not record without a card or a HomeBase, and the card is often not in the box. The S220 line is about three hours of sun, not a north-facing wall. Thumbnail alerts are not proof that nothing is uploaded.

What to weigh up

Hub or no hub

High

Start with whether the camera needs a hub you already own. The E220 and the C220 are plug-in room cameras. The E220 highlight says HomeBase is not compatible. The S220 and a lone C35 join your Wi-Fi. The S220 can run on its own, and HomeBase S380 is optional for facial recognition on that listing. The E40 cannot run without a HomeBase S380 or a HomeBase 2, so it is an add-on, not a first camera.

Power and where the footage sits

High

A lead is what the C31 listing ties to recording through the day. A battery camera records events. The S220 asks for about three hours of sun. A cold, dull week can still drain a solar battery, and a north wall is the wrong place for that panel. Footage sits on a card, on the 4 GB the S220 highlight mentions, or on the HomeBase Mini in the C35 kit. The card is often not in the box. The E220 specification block does not say a card is included, and continuous recording on that camera needs one.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Indoor pan-tilt on a plug

You want a cheap indoor pan-tilt, often with HomeKit on the listing, and you will add a card. The E220 has the large review count, at 4.4 from 9,215 reviews, though that sample names other models. It is about £39.99 and does not pair with a HomeBase.

Two outdoor cameras in daylight

You want outdoor cameras and you can give them daylight. The S220 listing is about £69.99, with the three-hour sun line attached. It is the top pick on score. The title says 2-pack while Number of Items is 1, so check the box.

You already run a HomeBase

You already run HomeBase S380 or HomeBase 2. The E40 is an add-on for that hub and does not work alone. It is about £89.99. A C31 or a C35 will not fill this role: those notes exclude HomeBase 2.

Common questions about eufy cameras

Which eufy camera is the top pick in this comparison?
The top pick in these nine amazon.co.uk listings is the eufy Security S220 SoloCam, ASIN B0C277MHX7, at about £69.99. The score uses 4.4 stars and 5,691 reviews on that listing. It is not a lab result. The title says 2-pack while Number of Items is 1, so check the box. It can run without a hub if the wall gets about three hours of sun.
How much does an eufy camera cost on amazon.co.uk?
Shelf prices in this set, taken on 19 October 2026, run from about £39.99 for the IndoorCam E220 to about £155 for the C35 two-pack with a HomeBase Mini. The S220 is about £69.99, the C31 two-pack about £79.99, the E40 about £89.99, and the C220 about £129. eufy’s UK article prints optional cloud at £3.99 a month for one device and £12.99 for Plus. Re-check the plan prices.
Does an eufy camera need a HomeBase?
It depends on the model. The E220 listing says HomeBase is not compatible. The S220 can run on its own, with HomeBase S380 optional. The E40 cannot run without a HomeBase S380 or a HomeBase 2. C31 and C35 notes name HomeBase Mini or, for the C31 two-pack, HomeBase 3, and they exclude HomeBase 2. The C35 two-pack includes a HomeBase Mini.
Do you have to pay a monthly cloud fee to record?
eufy support says you do not need a cloud plan to record. Clips in this set sit on a microSD card, on the 4 GB the S220 highlight mentions, or on a HomeBase. The card is often extra. A stolen camera takes the only copy if nothing is stored indoors. The S220 listing says thumbnail previews are stored in the cloud temporarily, so a no-fee line does not mean the picture never leaves the house.
Will a solar eufy camera hold its charge on a UK wall?
A solar camera here records events, not all day by default. The S220 bullet asks for about three hours of sun, and eufy says a cold, dull week can still drain a solar battery. A north wall is a wired camera or a manual charge. More than one E40 buyer says the panel held through a UK winter, and that camera still needs a HomeBase. UK mains are 230 V. Use the supplied adapter.
What if the camera films a neighbour or the street?
If the camera only films your own home and garden, the ICO says data protection law does not apply. If it films a neighbour, the street, or a communal space, it does. Minimise the view, put up a sign, store footage securely, delete it regularly, and answer a request for the image. Audio of people outside is especially hard to justify. Ask the Police Q546 matches that split.
Does every eufy camera in this set work with HomeKit?
No. HomeKit is on the E220 listing, and Apple Home then shows at most 1080p. The C31 two-pack note excludes HomeKit. eufy’s compatibility table marks the SoloCam E40 as not HomeKit, even where a bullet names Apple HomeKit. The C35 and C220 specification blocks do not state HomeKit. Many of these cameras are 2.4 GHz only. A wider set is in the HomeKit camera comparison.
Why do some review counts look the same on different boxes?
The three C31 listings all show 4.4 from 135 reviews. That is one shared line, not three tests. The C35 single and the C35 kit both show 4.3 from 1,745 reviews, and that line mentions other models. The E220’s 9,215 reviews include other eufy cameras, so that score loses three points. Read the model named in a review before you treat the count as proof of this box.

Our verdict

In this set of nine amazon.co.uk listings, the S220 SoloCam has the highest score, from 4.4 stars and 5,691 reviews, with a built-in solar panel and on-device storage. That is a listing score, not a lab result, and the title’s 2-pack line does not match Number of Items. Best value is the IndoorCam E220 at about £39.99 if you want an indoor plug-in pan-tilt and you will add a card. Skip the E40 unless you already have a HomeBase S380 or a HomeBase 2.
