Screw-in felt pads comparison 2026

The best screw-in felt pads, compared.

Top pick: SIMALA 28 mm Best value: wugongshan 22 mm – 40 pads at about £6.98. UK reviews describe a screw rather than a nail that bends. Seven saved UK reviews, and the bullets also mention a hammer. Updated October 2026.

Peter F.
Peter F.Editor

A screw-in felt pad is a felt disc in a cup, fixed with a wood screw into a solid wooden furniture foot so a chair can slide on a hard floor. In the UK you buy screw-in felt pads when peel-off pads fall off dining chairs, or when a wood, laminate or luxury-vinyl floor has to live with chairs that are dragged every day. The listing and the reviews should agree the fixing is a screw, not a hammered nail and not a stem for a leg that already has a machine thread. The diameter should sit inside the flat of the foot you measured. Felt, not the metal cup, should be what touches the floor. Floor makers ask for felt under furniture feet. No British Standard for domestic felt-pad thickness turned up in the public sources used here. A pad wider than the foot, or a screw in a split, hollow or antique leg, is the wrong buy. Diameter, fixing and the felt face are set out in the [screw-in felt pad buying guide](/hub/screws-and-accessories/screw-in-felt-pads/sub/screw-in-felt-pads-buying-guide).

A screw-in felt pad is a felt disc in a cup, fixed with a wood screw into a solid wooden furniture foot so a chair can slide on a hard floor.

Question 1 of 2

What is the foot?

The best screw-in felt pads in detail

SIMALA 28 mm

Rank 1

SIMALA 28 mm

∼£16

Our view

The SIMALA listing is titled as 32 felt pads, 28 mm diameter, 5 mm thick, with screw installation, at about £15.99. The surface attribute says hardwood. A bullet also offers self-adhesive, screw-in, and nail-in as a range. The dimension field is 30 x 23 x 2.2 cm, and the grip field says rubber. The listing line is 4.6 from 14,019. Saved UK reviews mix screw-in comments with stick-on and cut-to-size comments, so that count is not evidence about the 32-pack alone. A live check on 21 October 2026 still showed the ASIN, with a count nearer 13,949.

Pros

  • Title states 28 mm, 5 mm felt, and screw installation
  • Some UK reviews describe screws replacing stick-on pads on chairs
  • Shelf price about £15.99 for 32

Cons

  • Bullets also describe stick-on and nail-in pads
  • Dimension field does not match 28 mm
  • The 14,019 line is not a review of one style

Best for: You have checked the photo is the screw pack, not a stick-on sheet, and you want 28 mm.

Less suitable: You are choosing from the star count alone, or you need a listing whose reviews all describe screws.

Common questions

Is every review about the 32-pack screw version?

The listing line is 4.6 from 14,019. The saved UK reviews include screw-in praise and also sticky bases, adhesive that lets go, and pads cut to size. The count is not a count of this one style.

What size does the title state?

28 mm diameter and 5 mm thick, 32 pads. The dimension field says 30 x 23 x 2.2 cm, which does not match 28 mm.

What do screw-in comments in the file describe?

UK reviewers who describe screws say they replaced stick-on pads on dining chairs and high stools. One describes a metal cup and a Pozidriv-type screw. Others in the same file describe adhesive.

X-Protector 20 mm

Rank 2

X-Protector 20 mm

∼£13

Our view

The X-Protector 24-20mm-Beige pack is 24 beige screw-on felt pads at 20 mm, listed at about £12.91 on amazon.co.uk. The bullets claim a carbon screw and 7 mm felt. The dimension field is 20 x 20 x 9 mm. The listing line is 4.6 from 1,553, and the saved reviews are marked United Kingdom, which is why it is the top pick in this set. UK reviews describe screws, kitchen chairs, tile, and a Karndean floor. Two mention a drill bit. One buyer found the pads smaller and thinner than an older set, and one box contained 20 pieces rather than 24. One diner reported about two years on daily chairs. That is one household.

Pros

  • 24 screw-on pads at 20 mm, about £12.91
  • 4.6 from 1,553, with the saved reviews marked United Kingdom
  • UK reviews describe a screw, not a hammered nail
  • Bullets name hardwood and laminate

Cons

  • One UK delivery contained 20 pieces instead of 24
  • One UK buyer found them thinner and smaller than the pads they replaced
  • The included-components field does not list the drill bit two reviews mention

Best for: You want a 20 mm screw-on felt pad for wooden chair legs, and you can drill a pilot hole in hard timber.

Less suitable: You need 28 mm pads, a threaded M6 foot, or a pack whose reviews are not about screws.

Common questions

Does the X-Protector 20 mm listing say these are screws?

The title says screw-on. The bullets say you drive the screw. The included-components field says False, so a drill bit is not a spec. Two UK reviews say a drill bit of the right size was in the box.

What floors does this listing name?

The surface attribute says hardwood. The bullets say laminate, hardwood, and other hard surfaces. One UK review mentions Karndean, and others mention tile. Those are reviews, not extra floors on the attribute.

What do the UK reviews repeat?

The listing line is 4.6 from 1,553, and the first 50 saved reviews are marked United Kingdom. They describe a sturdy screw-on pad for kitchen chairs and hard floors. One buyer wanted a larger, thicker pad. One box arrived with 20 pieces instead of 24.

X-Protector 28 mm

Rank 3

X-Protector 28 mm

∼£14

Our view

The X-Protector 28 mm pack is 24 beige screw-on felt pads, listed at about £13.91. Bullets claim a carbon screw and 7 mm felt. The dimension field is 28 x 28 x 10 mm, and the material field says plastic while the grip field says felt. The listing line is 4.6 from 764. Thirteen saved reviews are marked United Kingdom and 25 are marked United States, so the star line is not a UK-only sample. UK comments describe quieter chairs on tile and wood, and pilot holes. One UK review mentions a flexible head. That is one comment, not a spec.

Pros

  • 28 mm screw-on pads, 24 in the pack, at about £13.91
  • Bullets name hardwood, laminate, and tile
  • UK reviews describe less scrape on chairs

Cons

  • Most saved reviews are marked United States, not the United Kingdom
  • Material field says plastic
  • The DIY & Tools rank repeats the 20 mm listing

Best for: You have measured a wooden foot that needs a 28 mm pad rather than 20 mm.

Less suitable: You want a UK-only review sample, or a cheaper pack of a smaller diameter.

Common questions

How is the 28 mm pack different from the 20 mm X-Protector pack?

The title diameter is 28 mm rather than 20 mm. The price in the raw file is about £13.91 rather than about £12.91. The manufacturer field is NeoSales Corp. The DIY & Tools rank line, 9,516, is the same number as on the 20 mm ASIN.

Are the saved reviews all from the UK?

No. The listing line is 4.6 from 764. In the raw file, 13 saved reviews are marked United Kingdom and 25 are marked United States.

What did UK reviewers say about fitting?

They describe less chair scrape on tile and wood. One says the head follows an angled leg. Others drilled pilot holes before fitting the pads to sofas and stools.

ShiSheng 25 mm

Rank 4

ShiSheng 25 mm

∼£10

Our view

The ShiSheng pack is 60 grey pads at 25 mm, listed at about £9.59. The title says pads with screws and chair nail pads. The bullets say drill, then hammer, with 4 mm felt and a total height of 9 mm. The material field says plastic and the grip field says rubber. Five saved UK reviews praise the pads for staying on kitchen chairs and do not say whether the fixing was a screw or a nail. The listing line is 4.6 from 166. The file is kept as an uncertain fit because both words are in the title.

Pros

  • 60 pads at 25 mm for about £9.59
  • UK reviews say they stayed on better than stick-on pads
  • Felt thickness is stated as 4 mm

Cons

  • Title says both screws and nail pads
  • The fitting steps say hammer
  • Material and grip fields do not say felt

Best for: You have read the hammer step and you still want a 25 mm pad in a pack of 60.

Less suitable: You want a listing whose title, bullets, and reviews all say screwdriver.

Hammer after drilling

Common questions

Do you screw these in or hammer them?

The title says felt pads with screws and, in the same title, chair nail pads. The bullets say drill a hole, then hammer the pad in. The UK reviews in the file do not say which tool the buyers used.

What thickness is stated?

The bullets say 4 mm of felt and a total height of 9 mm. The thickness field says 4 mm.

How many UK reviews are saved?

The listing line is 4.6 from 166. Five saved reviews are marked United Kingdom. They say the pads stayed on better than stick-on pads and suited kitchen chairs. One says they have lasted years. That is one comment.

Flintronic 20 mm, 20 pack

Rank 5

Flintronic 20 mm, 20 pack

Our view

This Flintronic listing is 20 pads, colour field style-b 20 mm, at about £4.89. The bullets claim about 10 mm of felt and a concealed screw fitted with a screwdriver. The weight is 50 g. The star line is 4.5 from 245, the rank is 14,541 in DIY & Tools, and the saved UK reviews match the other two Flintronic files in this set. Those reviews describe hammering nails, bent fixings, and scratches. The screwdriver claim and the review text do not agree.

Pros

  • Lowest shelf price in the set, about £4.89 for 20
  • Colour field names 20 mm
  • Thickness field matches the 10 mm bullet

Cons

  • Reviews describe nails, not the screwdriver in the bullets
  • The 245 count is shared with two other ASINs
  • The listing says to avoid old wooden chairs

Best for: You already know this shared review text and you still want the about £4.89 20 mm colour option.

Less suitable: You want a pack whose UK reviews describe screws.

Shared 245 reviews

Common questions

Is this review count only for this 20-piece pack?

The file shows 4.5 from 245 and the same UK review text as B0DJ39CNNS and B0DK5QB7XQ, plus the same rank. Treat 245 as one shared pool.

What do those reviews say about fitting?

They describe hammering. Nails bent, pads broke, and one buyer blamed scratches on nails that were not covered by the pad. The bullets say to use a screwdriver.

What does the listing say about old chairs?

The bullets say to try not to use the pads on old wooden chairs, because the chair or sofa may be damaged.

Flintronic 20 mm, style-a

Rank 6

Flintronic 20 mm, style-a

Our view

This Flintronic file is 20 pads, colour field style-a 20 mm, at about £5.69, model D1-4425242, weight 100 g. Bullets claim about 10 mm of felt and a screwdriver. The surface attribute includes carpet. The saved reviews are the same text as on the about £4.89 Flintronic file and the 60-piece file, with the same 4.5 from 245. Those reviews describe hammering, bent nails, broken pads, and scratches. One of them says the pads are for hard wood and not for carpet.

Pros

  • 20 pads at about £5.69 with 20 mm in the colour field
  • Material field says felt
  • Thickness field says 10 mm

Cons

  • Shared nail reviews contradict the screwdriver bullets
  • Carpet is on the attribute and disputed in a review
  • Same rank and star line as two other ASINs

Best for: You are comparing the style-a card with the style-b card and you have read the shared reviews.

Less suitable: You want reviews that describe a screw, or a pack that does not share this text.

Common questions

How does style-a differ from the other 20-piece Flintronic file?

This one is about £5.69, model D1-4425242, weight 100 g, and the surface list includes carpet. B0DK5MKYLC is about £4.89, model D1-4457736, weight 50 g, and its surface list does not include carpet. The saved reviews match.

Do the reviews support the carpet claim?

One review in the shared text says the pads work on hard wooden floors and not on carpet. The attribute still lists carpet.

What should you do if the fixing sticks out?

One UK review says a screw that is not installed correctly can protrude and damage the floor. Other reviews describe nails that are not covered and then scratch.

Flintronic 28 mm, 60 pack

Rank 7

Flintronic 28 mm, 60 pack

∼£10

Our view

This Flintronic listing is 60 pads, colour field style-b 28 mm, at about £9.99, weight 260 g. The material field says felt and plastic. The bullets claim about 10 mm of felt. The thickness field says 5 mm. The star line, rank, and saved reviews match the other Flintronic ASINs in this set. Those reviews describe hammered nails and scratches, not a clean screwdriver fit. The 28 mm and the pack of 60 are on the colour field, not in a separate review sample.

Pros

  • 60 pads with 28 mm in the colour field, at about £9.99
  • Material field names felt and plastic

Cons

  • 10 mm in the bullets and 5 mm in the thickness field
  • Reviews are the shared nail text, not a separate 60-piece sample
  • The listing says to avoid old wooden chairs

Best for: You want the 60-piece colour option and you have already read the shared Flintronic reviews.

Less suitable: You want a 28 mm pack whose reviews describe screws, such as the separate X-Protector 28 mm file.

Common questions

Which thickness applies?

The bullets say a protective barrier of about 10 mm. The thickness field says 5 mm. The card does not resolve that.

Are the 245 reviews about this 60-piece pack?

The raw file repeats the review text, the 4.5 from 245, and the rank of the two 20-piece Flintronic ASINs. The colour field is the line that says 28 mm and 60 pieces.

What is the stated fixing?

The installation attribute says screw-in, and the bullets say a screwdriver. The shared reviews describe a hammer and nails that bend or break.

Swpeet 20 mm

Rank 8

Swpeet 20 mm

Our view

The Swpeet pack is 40 black screw-on felt pads, titled 20 mm, listed at about £7.99. The material field is ABS and the grip field is felt. The bullets name a carbon-steel screw and tell you to pilot-drill hardwood and to keep the screw away from children. The dimension field is 20 x 51 x 51 mm, which does not match a 20 mm disc. The listing line is 4.5 from 96, with six saved UK reviews. One of those says the pads stay put but do not slide well on laminate.

Pros

  • 40 screw-on pads at about £7.99
  • Bullets tell you to pilot-drill hardwood
  • UK reviews say a screwed pad stays on

Cons

  • Dimension field does not match 20 mm
  • Model number and part number differ
  • One UK review says they do not slide well on laminate

Best for: You want a black 20 mm screw-on pad and you will pilot-drill hardwood.

Less suitable: You need a smooth glide on laminate, or dimensions that match the title.

Common questions

What does Swpeet tell you to do on hardwood?

The bullets say to drill a pilot hole so the screw does not bend, the plastic case does not break, and the furniture foot does not crack. They also say to keep the sharp screw away from children.

Do the dimensions match the title?

The title says 20 mm round. The dimension field says 20 x 51 x 51 mm. The model number is S4232 and the part number is S4231.

What do the UK reviews say about laminate?

The listing line is 4.5 from 96. Six saved reviews are marked United Kingdom. One says the pads stay on because they are screwed in, but do not slide that well on laminate. Others say they stop chair scrape.

Glarks mixed sizes

Rank 9

Glarks mixed sizes

∼£11

Our view

The Glarks G-3737 set is 56 black pads stated as 20 mm, 24 mm, 28 mm, and 38 mm, listed at about £10.99. The title says screw-on. One bullet says carbon-steel nails, and the next says to drill a pilot hole and screw them in. The dimension field is 36 x 36 x 36 mm. The listing line is 4.5 from 95, with nine saved UK reviews. Those reviews describe dining chairs on tile and wood, and a screw that stays on better than stick-on pads. No felt depth in millimetres is on the card.

Pros

  • Four diameters in one pack of 56, at about £10.99
  • UK reviews describe wooden chairs on tile
  • Title says screw-on

Cons

  • One bullet calls the fixings nails
  • The dimension field does not match the stated diameters
  • No felt thickness in millimetres

Best for: You have several wooden feet of different widths and you want one mixed pack.

Less suitable: You want one diameter only, or a listing that never uses the word nail.

Common questions

What sizes are in the Glarks pack?

The title and bullets say 56 pads at 20 mm, 24 mm, 28 mm, and 38 mm. The dimension field says 36 x 36 x 36 mm, which does not match those four sizes.

Is the fixing a screw or a nail?

The title says screw-on. The fitting bullet says drill a pilot hole and screw the pads in. Another bullet calls the fixings carbon-steel nails.

What do the UK reviews say?

The listing line is 4.5 from 95. Nine saved reviews are marked United Kingdom. They describe wooden dining chairs on tile, less scrape, and a preference for a screw over stick-on pads. One buyer avoided a metal base so worn felt would not let metal touch the floor.

wugongshan 22 mm

Rank 10

wugongshan 22 mm

Our view

The wugongshan pack is 40 grey pads at 22 mm, listed at about £6.98. The title says screws. The material field says felt and carbon steel. A UK review contrasts the screws with nails that bend, which is why this is the best value in the set: a low shelf price on a pack whose UK comments describe screws. The listing line is 4.4 from 49, and only seven saved reviews are marked United Kingdom. The bullets also mention a hammer. The thickness field is 22 mm, the same as the diameter, so felt depth is not stated.

Pros

  • 40 pads at about £6.98
  • UK reviews describe a screw rather than a nail that bends
  • Stated floors include laminate, tile, parquet, and stone

Cons

  • Only seven saved reviews are marked United Kingdom
  • Bullets mention hammering as well as a screwdriver
  • Felt thickness is not stated. The 22 mm field repeats the diameter

Best for: You want a 22 mm screw-in pad in a 40-piece pack and you accept a small UK review sample.

Less suitable: You need a large UK review sample, or a pack that does not mention a hammer.

Common questions

Are these screws or nails?

The title says felt glider screws. A UK review says the screw fixing is more reliable than nails that bend when hammered. The bullets also name hammering or screwdrivers, so the tool line is not only a screwdriver.

How many UK reviews are in the file?

The listing line is 4.4 from 49. Seven saved reviews are marked United Kingdom, and they are mostly praise. Other saved reviews are from outside the UK and are not a British sample.

Does the listing say the pad is adjustable?

No. One UK review describes turning the screw to steady a wobbly coffee table. The title does not call the pack a leveller.

QWYEIQ M6

Rank 11

QWYEIQ M6

∼£10

Our view

The QWYEIQ pack is 16 black felt feet, titled as adjustable M6 x 20 x 12 mm glider screws, listed at about £9.99. The bullets say to screw them into existing threads and say they are not for legs without threads. The dimension field is 20 x 20 x 22 mm, so the 12 mm in the title is not the thickness field. The surface attribute says hardwood. There is no customer-review line. A second bullet says to avoid old wooden chairs, on a product that needs a thread.

Pros

  • States an M6 thread and a pack of 16 at about £9.99
  • The listing itself excludes legs without threads
  • Felt and metal are named in the bullets

Cons

  • No star rating in the raw file
  • Title thickness 12 mm conflicts with a 22 mm field
  • It will not replace a wood screw in a plain timber leg

Best for: The furniture already has an M6 thread and you want a felt foot on it.

Less suitable: The chair leg is plain wood or hollow metal with no thread.

Common questions

How we compared

Eleven amazon.co.uk listings are scored from the stored pages. Each card's score is an editorial sum of job match, stars, review sample, listing consistency and value. The weights below name those headings and sum to 100. No listing took full marks, and this is not a laboratory wear test. The top pick is the highest stored total, on the X-Protector 20 mm pack. The best value is the stored award on the wugongshan 22 mm pack: a lower shelf price whose UK reviews describe screws. Prices, stars and review counts are the amazon.co.uk lines in the display file.

1

Job match

35%

Whether the listing is a wood screw into solid timber, with a diameter that can sit inside the foot and felt as the wearing face. A hammered nail, a peel-off pad, or an M6 stem is a different product.

2

Stars

20%

The amazon.co.uk star line on the stored page. Stars are not a wear test and not a workshop trial.

3

Review sample

15%

How large the count is, and whether it belongs to this pack. A shared pool, or a count that mixes stick-on comments, is not a test of one style.

4

Listing consistency

15%

Whether the title, the bullets and the dimension fields agree on fixing, diameter and felt thickness. A clash stays on the card.

5

Value

15%

Shelf price against the stated pack, after the fixing check. A low price whose UK reviews describe nails is not the best-value award.

Screw-in felt pad buying guide

Check the fixing, then the diameter, then whether felt is the wearing face, before you read a star line or a shelf price. A nail, a peel-off pad and an M6 stem are different products. A pad wider than the foot is the wrong size.

A screw-in felt pad is a felt disc in a cup, fixed with a wood screw into a solid wooden furniture foot so a chair can slide on a hard floor. You buy one when stick-on pads fall off dining chairs, or when a wood, laminate or luxury-vinyl floor has to live with chairs that are dragged every day. The checks are whether the listing and the UK reviews agree the fixing is a screw, whether the diameter sits inside the foot, and whether felt is what touches the floor.

Best for

  • Wooden dining chairs dragged every day, once stick-on pads have fallen off
  • One diameter in a larger pack, after you have checked the fixing is a screw
  • A leg that already has an M6 thread, and only that leg

Not ideal for

  • Hollow metal legs, or a foot with no thread when the pad is an M6 stem
  • An antique, loose or split chair, where a wood screw can make the damage worse
  • A listing whose reviews describe nails, or whose count mixes stick-on pads

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Trusting the shared 245-review block

Three Flintronic listings share 4.5 from 245, the same rank, and review text about hammering nails. That is one pool, not three tests of a screwdriver fit.

  2. 2

Reading 14,019 as a test of one screw pack

The SIMALA line is 4.6 from 14,019. Saved UK reviews mix screw-in comments with stick-on and cut-to-size comments. The count is not evidence about the 32-pack alone.

  3. 3

A pad wider than the foot

The pad should sit inside the flat you measured. Stated single sizes run from 20 mm to 28 mm, and a mixed pack can add 38 mm. A wider pad overhangs.

  4. 4

Leaving felt on after it has worn to metal

Worn felt lets the cup or the screw touch the floor. Take the pad off when the felt is gone. Grit on the floor still scratches, even when felt is fitted.

What to weigh up

Fixing and diameter

High

The category is a wood screw into solid timber. A hammered nail, a peel-off pad, or an M6 stem is a different product. Read the title, the fitting bullet and the UK reviews together. If one line says screw and another says nail, or the steps say drill then hammer, the fixing is not settled. An M6 foot screws into a leg that already has a thread. It does not replace a wood screw in plain timber. Hollow metal legs are outside this category. Diameter comes second, against the foot you measured.

Felt face and the review sample

High

Felt is the wearing face. Bullets claim about 4 mm, 5 mm, 7 mm or 10 mm. The dimension or thickness field often states a different figure, including a field that repeats the diameter, so felt depth is then not stated. Worn felt lets the cup or the screw touch the floor. Take the pad off when the felt is gone. No British Standard for domestic felt-pad thickness was found in these sources. One seller, for its own 20 mm pad, says a 2 mm guide hole about 10 mm deep and a PZ2 driver.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Daily wooden dining chairs

You drag wooden dining chairs on a hard floor and stick-on pads have fallen off. The X-Protector 20 mm pack is the top pick: 24 beige screw-on pads at about £12.91, 4.6 from 1,553 reviews, with the saved reviews marked United Kingdom. UK reviews describe screws. One box arrived with 20 pieces rather than 24.

A larger 22 mm pack

You want a 22 mm screw-in pad in a 40-piece pack and you accept a small UK review sample. The wugongshan pack is the best value at about £6.98. UK reviews describe a screw rather than a nail that bends. The bullets also mention a hammer, and only seven saved reviews are marked United Kingdom.

An existing M6 thread

The furniture already has an M6 thread. The QWYEIQ pack is 16 black feet, titled M6 x 20 x 12 mm, at about £9.99. The listing says it is not for legs without threads. There is no customer-review line, and the thickness field says 22 mm against 12 mm in the title.

Common questions about screw-in felt pads

What is a screw-in felt pad?
A screw-in felt pad is a felt disc in a cup, fixed with a wood screw into a wooden furniture foot so a chair can slide on a hard floor. You use one when peel-off pads fall off chairs on wood, laminate or luxury vinyl. The listing and the reviews should agree the fixing is a screw, the diameter should sit inside the foot, and felt should be what touches the floor. It is not a hammered nail or a stem for a leg that already has a machine thread.
How do you tell a screw-in pad from a nail or a stick-on pad?
A screw-in pad is driven into solid timber. A stick-on pad is peel-off adhesive, and a nail-in pad is hammered. Those are different products. If the title says screw and a bullet says nail, or the steps say drill then hammer, the fixing is not settled. Floor makers still ask for felt under furniture feet. A trade note says adhesive glides can let go on a heated floor, and a wood screw needs a foot that can take it. Read the UK reviews for the tool they actually used.
What diameter of screw-in felt pad should you buy?
Measure the flat of the wooden foot and choose a pad that sits inside it. Single sizes stated on listings of this type are 20 mm, 22 mm, 25 mm and 28 mm. A mixed pack can add 24 mm and 38 mm. A pad wider than the foot overhangs. Felt claims of about 4 mm, 5 mm, 7 mm or 10 mm often disagree with the thickness field. There is no British Standard for that thickness in the sources used here. Worn felt lets metal touch the floor.
Which screw-in felt pads are the top pick?
The top pick is the X-Protector 20 mm pack at about £12.91: 24 beige screw-on pads, 4.6 from 1,553 amazon.co.uk reviews, with the saved reviews marked United Kingdom. UK reviews describe screws on kitchen chairs and hard floors. The bullets claim 7 mm felt, and the dimension field is 20 x 20 x 9 mm. One delivery contained 20 pieces rather than 24. The included-components field does not list a drill bit. The award is not a wear test.
Which screw-in felt pads are the best value?
The best value is the wugongshan 22 mm pack: 40 grey pads at about £6.98. The title says screws, and a UK review contrasts them with nails that bend. The listing line is 4.4 from 49, and only seven saved reviews are marked United Kingdom. The bullets also mention a hammer. Felt thickness is not stated, because the 22 mm field repeats the diameter. The award is the shelf price on a pack whose UK comments describe screws, not a laboratory result.
Can you trust a review count that several packs share?
No. Three Flintronic listings share 4.5 from 245 and the same review text about hammering nails, plus the same rank. Treat 245 as one shared pool, not three separate tests. The SIMALA line is 4.6 from 14,019, and the saved UK reviews mix screw-in comments with stick-on and cut-to-size comments, so that count is not evidence about one screw pack. A star line is not a wear test. Read whether the saved UK reviews describe the fixing you are about to buy.
When should you not fit screw-in felt pads?
Stop if the chair is antique or already loose, the foot is metal or an unknown thread, or a leg has split. A wood screw needs solid timber that can take it. An M6 foot is only for a leg that already has that thread. A felt pad lets a chair slide. It does not fix furniture to the floor. That job is a floor anchor. Keep sharp screws away from children, as one listing warns. Do not leave a pad on after the felt has worn through to metal.
