Fingerprint door openers compared for UK buyers in 2026

The best fingerprint door openers, compared.

Top pick: Yocdunm fingerprint lever Best value: Yocdunm fingerprint lever – Lowest shelf price in the set, about £31.99, with a key and a code. The 5.0 score is from nine ratings only. Updated 16.10.2026.

A fingerprint door opener only helps if it matches the door you already have. In this UK set the listings are battery levers for an internal latch, one mains electric-bolt kit, or double-sided lock. None of them is a euro-profile cylinder for a uPVC multipoint front door. If that is the door you have, start with our [electronic door locks](/hub/electronic-surveillance/electronic-door-lock) comparison rather than a bedroom lever. Both pages also say the lock fits most US doors, which is not a UK measurement. We lined up eight amazon.co.uk listings against public UK sources.

The best fingerprint door openers in detail

Yocdunm fingerprint lever

Rank 1

Yocdunm fingerprint lever

∼£32

Our view

The Yocdunm silver lever is the lowest shelf price in this set, at £31.99, with a stated door thickness of 35–50 mm and an adjustable latch of 60–70 mm. It opens with a fingerprint, a password, two IC cards and two traditional keys, and the network line says wireless without naming an app. The amazon.co.uk line is 5.0 from nine ratings. That is a small sample next to TEKXDD’s 1,011, so the perfect score is not a durability result. Four AAA batteries are not included. A USB port is for an emergency unlock, the cable is not in the box, and the listing says not to use the port as a charger. The indoor-and-outdoor line is a claim, not an IP rating. The lever is described as reversible for left- or right-hand doors, and the bullets print a store of up to 100 fingerprints.

Pros

  • Lowest shelf price in the set, at £31.99
  • 35–50 mm and an adjustable latch of 60–70 mm
  • Two keys and two IC cards, with no app account required
  • Reversible for left- or right-hand doors

Cons

  • 5.0 comes from only nine ratings
  • No app is named
  • Four AAA batteries and the USB cable are not included
  • Indoor and outdoor is a listing claim, not an IP rating

Best for: A 35–50 mm door when you want a key and a code at the lowest price and you do not want an app

Less suitable: Anyone who needs an app, a front-door cylinder, or a review sample larger than nine ratings

Common questions

What size door does the Yocdunm listing allow?

Door thickness 35–50 mm and an adjustable latch of 60–70 mm. The lever is described as reversible for left- or right-hand doors.

What opens the Yocdunm lever?

Fingerprint, a digital password, two IC cards and two traditional keys. The network line says wireless and does not name an app.

Are the Yocdunm batteries included?

No. The bullets say four AAA alkaline batteries are not included. A USB port is for an emergency unlock. The cable is not in the box, and the listing says not to use it as a charger.

LXLRHH 5-in-1 lever

Rank 2

LXLRHH 5-in-1 lever

∼£40

Our view

The LXLRHH black lever is listed at £39.99 for doors of 40–55 mm, with an adjustable latch of 60–70 mm and a door hole of 54 mm in the fitting bullet. The same bullet says no drilling is required and that this is for most standard UK indoor doors, so those claims sit side by side. The amazon.co.uk line is 5.0 from two reviews, which is too small to treat as a pattern. Four AAA batteries are required and are not included, with a claimed life of up to six months. A USB power bank or the physical key is the emergency method named. Tuya is in the bullets and there is no protocol line. The technical table says guaranteed software updates until unknown, with no end date. A 5.0 from two ratings is not a reason to skip measuring the hole the door already has.

Pros

  • Fitting bullet states 40–55 mm, a 60–70 mm latch and a 54 mm hole
  • Left or right handing is stated
  • 5.0 from two ratings, at £39.99
  • Emergency opening by USB power bank or the physical key

Cons

  • Only two reviews
  • No drilling and a 54 mm hole are claimed in the same bullet
  • Four AAA batteries are not included
  • Software updates are listed until unknown, with no end date

Best for: A UK indoor door of 40–55 mm when you will measure the hole you already have against the 54 mm line

Less suitable: Anyone treating two ratings as a durability result, or a door thinner than 40 mm

Common questions

What measurements does the LXLRHH fitting bullet give?

Door thickness 40–55 mm, an adjustable latch of 60–70 mm, and a door hole of 54 mm. It says this is for most standard UK indoor doors, and the same bullet says no drilling.

How are the LXLRHH batteries described?

Four AAA batteries are required and are not included. The bullets claim up to six months. A USB power bank or the physical key is the emergency method named.

Is a software-update period stated for LXLRHH?

The technical table says guaranteed software updates until unknown. There is no end date.

TEKXDD Smart Lock-0421

Rank 3

TEKXDD Smart Lock-0421

∼£40

Our view

The TEKXDD Smart Lock-0421 is the lever in this set with the largest amazon.co.uk sample: 4.2 from 1,011 ratings, at £39.99, for doors of 35–55 mm. The bullets say left- or right-hand fitting and that no drilling is required, and they do not give a bore or a backset. Four AAA batteries are not included, and the included-components line lists two handles and instructions. Several reviews say an NFC card was not in the box, so a card is not something you can count on finding. There is no connectivity-protocol line. The bullets name the Tuya app and a temporary remote password, reviews describe Bluetooth, and one review says the lock has no Wi-Fi. If you need the listing itself to print Wi-Fi, this is the wrong row, even though it is the most-reviewed lever here.

Pros

  • 4.2 from 1,011 amazon.co.uk ratings, the largest sample in this set
  • 35–55 mm, with left- or right-hand fitting claimed
  • £39.99, with a key, a passcode and the Tuya app named
  • USB port described for emergency opening when the battery is flat

Cons

  • Several reviews say an NFC card was not in the box
  • No protocol line, and one review says there is no Wi-Fi
  • No bore and no backset on the listing
  • Four AAA batteries are not included

Best for: An internal timber door of 35–55 mm when you want the largest review file in this set

Less suitable: Anyone who needs the listing to say Wi-Fi, or a bore diameter before they drill

Common questions

What door thickness does TEKXDD state?

35–55 mm, with left- or right-hand fitting. The bullets also say no drilling is required. They do not give a bore or a backset.

Are batteries and NFC cards in the TEKXDD box?

Four AAA batteries are not included. The included-components line lists two handles and instructions. Several reviews say an NFC card was not in the box.

Does the TEKXDD listing name Wi-Fi?

There is no connectivity-protocol line. The bullets name the Tuya app and a temporary remote password. Reviews describe Bluetooth, and one review says it has no Wi-Fi.

DHEISHA 5-in-1 silver

Rank 4

DHEISHA 5-in-1 silver

∼£41

Our view

The silver DHEISHA 5-in-1 is listed at £40.99 with 4.2 from 96 ratings, and the review texts in this file match the black ASIN B0DQKFHBNR, so this is not a second study of 96 people. Colour on the page is silver, while the part number is printed as Black Smart Door Lock. The protocol line says a proprietary app protocol, not Bluetooth, which is the specification difference from the black listing. Thickness is still 30–55 mm timber, and the bullets still say it fits most US doors and that no drilling is required. The material line lists ABS, brass and nickel, while the bullets say aluminium alloy. Four AAA batteries are required and are not listed as included. If you want a silver finish, that is what this page adds. If you wanted a separate review sample, it does not give you one.

Pros

  • Silver finish at £40.99
  • 4.2 shown from 96 ratings on this page’s star line
  • Same 30–55 mm timber band, with key, card and code
  • Proprietary app named on the protocol line, unlike the black listing’s Bluetooth line

Cons

  • Review texts match the black ASIN, so this is not a separate sample
  • Part number printed as Black Smart Door Lock
  • Material line and the bullets disagree
  • Latch-failure comments travel with the shared review text

Best for: A silver finish on the same DHEISHA lever, if you already accept the black file’s review text

Less suitable: Anyone who wanted an independent set of 96 reviews, or a radio you can separate from the black listing beyond the protocol line

Common questions

How do the silver DHEISHA specification lines differ from the black listing?

Colour is silver. The protocol line says a proprietary app protocol, not Bluetooth. The material line lists ABS, brass and nickel. The part number printed here is Black Smart Door Lock. Thickness is still 30–55 mm timber, and the bullets still say it fits most US doors.

What is in the silver DHEISHA box?

Two emergency keys, the lock, an IC card and mounting screws. Four AAA batteries are required and are not listed as included. USB emergency power is described, and the listing says not to charge the batteries that way.

Are the silver-listing reviews a separate set?

No. The review texts in this saved listing match the black ASIN B0DQKFHBNR. This page's own star line is 4.2 from 96 ratings.

DHEISHA DH-DK-B07 black

Rank 5

DHEISHA DH-DK-B07 black

∼£41

Our view

The black DHEISHA DH-DK-B07 is a lever at £40.88 for timber of 30–55 mm, and the protocol line names Bluetooth. The amazon.co.uk line is 4.2 from 95 ratings. The bullets also say it fits most US doors and that no drilling is required, while one UK review says the mechanism needs a hole of at least about 54 mm. The highlights record latch failures in UK reviews, which is the complaint to weigh before you treat the screwdriver-only line as a promise. Fifty fingerprints, a key, a card and a code are the other ways in. Four AAA batteries are required and are not in the included-components line. A USB port is for emergency power, and the listing says not to charge the batteries that way. A rank in Home Security & Surveillance Biometrics is a sales rank, not a durability test.

Pros

  • Bluetooth printed on the protocol line
  • 4.2 from 95 amazon.co.uk ratings
  • Timber band of 30–55 mm, with key, card, code and 50 fingerprints
  • USB emergency power described, with a warning not to charge

Cons

  • UK reviews record latch failures
  • No-drilling bullet sits beside a review that wants a hole of about 54 mm
  • Bullets also say it fits most US doors
  • Four AAA batteries are required and are not listed as included

Best for: A timber door of 30–55 mm when you want Bluetooth printed on the protocol line and you have read the latch comments

Less suitable: Anyone who cannot live with those latch-failure comments, or a multipoint uPVC front door

Common questions

What door thickness does this black DHEISHA listing state?

Wooden doors of 30–55 mm. The same bullets say it fits most US doors and that no drilling is required. One UK review says the mechanism needs a hole of at least about 54 mm.

How is the black DHEISHA lever powered?

Four AAA batteries are required. They are not in the included-components line. A USB port is described for emergency power, and the listing says not to charge the batteries that way.

What radio does the protocol line name?

Bluetooth. The bullets also name app control, and UK reviews mention the Tuya app.

Swokely Wi-Fi lever

Rank 6

Swokely Wi-Fi lever

∼£73

Our view

The Swokely lever is the one whose protocol line says Wi-Fi, at £72.99, for doors of 35–60 mm. The amazon.co.uk line is 3.8 from 12 ratings. A UK review says a temporary online code can be set because the lock is Wi-Fi, and that the code fails on the first attempt and works the second time. The box includes two types of insert lock, two mechanical keys and two IC cards. Power is printed as four 2A batteries, not included, with a claimed life of up to six months, and the emergency port is USB-C. Fifty fingerprints is the store on the listing. There is no software-update end date in the file. Twelve ratings and that first-try guest-code failure are the limit on treating this as a proven remote lock, even though the protocol line is the clearest Wi-Fi statement in the set.

Pros

  • Protocol line says Wi-Fi
  • 35–60 mm, with two insert locks in the box
  • Two mechanical keys, two IC cards and a USB-C emergency port
  • A UK review describes a temporary code set remotely

Cons

  • 3.8 from only 12 ratings
  • That review says the guest code fails on the first attempt
  • Power is printed as 4 x 2A and is not included
  • No software-update end date

Best for: A host who needs the word Wi-Fi on the protocol line and can accept twelve ratings

Less suitable: A family bedroom that does not need a remote code, or anyone who wants a larger review sample and an update end date

A USB-C port. Power is four 2A batteries, not included, with a claimed life of up to six months. Two mechanical keys are in the box.

AccessShield F20 electric bolt kit

Rank 7

AccessShield F20 electric bolt kit

∼£55

Our view

The AccessShield F20 is a mains electric-bolt kit at £54.99, and the box list names the panel, the power supply, an exit switch, the bolt and ten 13.56 MHz fobs. The protocol line says Wi-Fi, and the bullets name the Tuya app for remote unlock, temporary passcodes and access records. Fingerprint capacity is printed twice and the figures do not match: 100 in the bullets and 200 in the recommended uses. There is no door thickness in millimetres, and this amazon.co.uk file has no customer-review line. The bullets describe a single wooden or iron door with a flush frame, while the recommended uses also name glass, metal and security doors. Waterproof appears as a special feature, not as an IP rating. Until a UK review describes a fitting, the kit is a parts list rather than a proven install.

Pros

  • Panel, mains supply, exit switch, bolt and ten IC fobs in the box
  • Protocol line says Wi-Fi, and the bullets name the Tuya app
  • A second way in by passcode, fob or app
  • £54.99 for a mains kit rather than a battery lever

Cons

  • No customer-review line on this amazon.co.uk file
  • No door thickness in millimetres
  • Fingerprint store is 100 in the bullets and 200 in recommended uses
  • Waterproof is a special-feature claim, not an IP rating

Best for: A wooden or iron door with a flush frame, where a handle swap is the wrong object and a mains supply is acceptable

Less suitable: A multipoint uPVC door, or anyone who wants a star rating and a thickness in millimetres before they buy

Common questions

Does this kit include the lock and the power supply?

Yes. The bullets list an access-control panel, a power supply, a door switch, an electric bolt, ten 13.56 MHz IC key fobs and a user manual.

How does this AccessShield kit connect?

The protocol line says Wi-Fi. The bullets name the Tuya app for remote unlock, temporary passcodes and access records.

Which doors does the listing name?

The bullets say a single wooden or iron door, with the frame flush with the door. Recommended uses also name wooden, glass, metal and security doors. There is no thickness in millimetres.

Simpled DWF-SP

Rank 8

Simpled DWF-SP

∼£280

Our view

The Simpled DWF-SP is a double-sided lock at £279.99 whose bullets say the outside panel is weatherproof and the inside panel must stay dry. The listing opens with fingerprint, passcode, phone, NFC and emergency keys. The protocol line says Wi-Fi, while the bullets also say Bluetooth, so the radio is not a single settled fact. The file gives no door thickness in millimetres, no battery or mains line, and no customer-review line. Dimensions are printed as 30 x 45 x 180 mm, which is not a euro-cylinder size. A retrofit is claimed and no tool is named. This is not the Simpled LeverLine listing, and that other page’s ratings do not belong here. At this price, with no millimetre band and no stars, you are buying a weather split and a feature list.

Pros

  • Outside panel described as weatherproof
  • Fingerprint, passcode, phone, NFC and emergency keys listed
  • Sits in the £200 to £300 band Which? uses for a typical smart lock

Cons

  • No customer-review line and no door-thickness band
  • Inside panel must stay dry
  • Protocol line says Wi-Fi and the bullets also say Bluetooth
  • Not a euro-cylinder size, and not the LeverLine ASIN

Best for: A buyer who wants this double-sided body and can accept no stars, no thickness and a dry inside panel

Less suitable: Anyone who needs ratings, a millimetre band, or a euro cylinder for a multipoint front door

The bullets list fingerprint, passcode, phone, Bluetooth, smartwatch, NFC, emergency keys, and a Wi-Fi bridge for Alexa or Google Home. The protocol line says Wi-Fi.

Is there a star rating on this amazon.co.uk file?

No. This saved listing has no Customer Reviews line and no review text.

How we compared

For this comparison we kept eight fingerprint door openers from amazon.co.uk listings and scored what each page actually prints: price, the star line and review count when one exists, door thickness, a second way in, and the radio. Public UK sources cover product-security rules, biometrics and lock standards. There is no laboratory test. Where a listing has no customer-review line, the count stays zero.

1

Door family

25%

A lever, a mains bolt and a double-sided body are different objects. A multipoint uPVC door needs a euro cylinder these listings do not provide.

2

Thickness and bore

20%

Printed millimetre bands matter more than a no-drilling line. A 54 mm hole on the same page is a measurement, not a slogan.

3

Second way in

20%

Fingerprint plus a PIN, card or mechanical key, and a stated emergency-power method. Batteries are not in the box on the levers.

4

Radio on the listing

15%

Bluetooth means the phone stays near the door. Wi-Fi has to be on the protocol line. The word app is not Wi-Fi.

5

Review sample and honesty

20%

A large amazon.co.uk sample outweighs 5.0 from two or nine ratings. A missing review line, a shared review text and an unknown update date stay visible.

Fingerprint door opener buying guide

Before you compare fingerprints, decide which object you are buying. A lever changes the handles and the latch on an internal door. A bolt kit needs mains power and a flush frame. Simpled is a double-sided body with a dry inside panel, not a euro cylinder. Shelf prices in this set sit below the Which? band for a typical smart lock, except Simpled at £279.99. Measure the door, keep a second way in, and read the protocol line before you trust the word app.

What is a fingerprint door opener?

A fingerprint door opener in this UK set is one of three objects: a battery lever for an internal latch, a mains electric-bolt kit, or Simpled's double-sided lock. The levers are Yocdunm, TEKXDD, DHEISHA black, DHEISHA silver, LXLRHH and Swokely. They replace the handles and a latch. AccessShield at about £54.99 is a panel, a power supply, an exit switch, an electric bolt and ten fobs, not a handle.

Best for

  • Households fitting an internal timber door
  • Hosts who need Wi-Fi written on the protocol line

Not ideal for

  • A multipoint uPVC or composite front door
  • Anyone who needs a euro cylinder

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Treating “fits most US doors” as a UK size

Both DHEISHA listings say the lever fits most US doors as well as 30–55 mm timber. A US door line is not your thickness, your bore or your backset. Measure the door in millimetres.

  2. 2

Trusting “no drilling” beside a 54 mm hole

LXLRHH states a 54 mm hole and says no drilling in the same fitting bullet. A DHEISHA review asks for a hole of about 54 mm against a no-drilling line. If the door does not already have that hole, you are drilling.

  3. 3

Using a bedroom lever as the only final-exit lock

UK reviews of these levers describe a bedroom, kitchen or home office. They are not a TS 007 euro cylinder and they are not BS 3621. A multipoint door, a proud cylinder, a mains spur, or someone stuck inside is a job for a locksmith.

What to weigh up

Door family and thickness

High

The first cut is the door, not the sensor. An internal timber door with a tubular latch is the object these levers are built around. A uPVC or composite front door with a multipoint lock needs a euro cylinder or a handle made for that gearbox, and none of the eight listings is that part. AccessShield is a mains electric bolt for a single wooden or iron door with a flush frame. Simpled is a double-sided body with no thickness in millimetres. Once the family is right, read the millimetres.

Second way in and radio

High

A fingerprint is not a complete way into the room. Every lever here also lists a PIN or password, a card or a mechanical key, so you can still get in when the sensor or the battery fails. Four AAA cells are required on the battery levers and are not in the box. Yocdunm's emergency USB cable is not included. DHEISHA describes a USB port and says not to charge the cells that way. Swokely uses a USB-C port and prints power as four 2A batteries, not included.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Internal timber door

You are fitting a bedroom, kitchen or home office door and you want the largest amazon.co.uk review file in this set. TEKXDD states 35–55 mm, at about £39.99, with 4.2 from 1,011 ratings. It does not print Wi-Fi on a protocol line.

Key and code, no app

You want a fingerprint, a password, two cards and two keys, and you do not want an account. The Yocdunm lever is the lowest shelf price here, about £31.99, for doors of 35–50 mm. The 5.0 score is from nine ratings.

Remote guest codes

You need the listing itself to say Wi-Fi, for a code when you are not at the door. Swokely prints Wi-Fi on the protocol line, at about £72.99, with 3.8 from 12 ratings. One UK review says the guest code fails on the first try.

Common questions about fingerprint door openers

What is the best fingerprint door opener in 2026?
The top pick is the TEKXDD Smart Lock-0421: about £39.99 on amazon.co.uk, 4.2 from 1,011 ratings, for doors of 35–55 mm. The bullets claim left- or right-hand fitting and no drilling, without a bore or a backset. Four AAA batteries are not included, and several reviews say an NFC card was not in the box. There is no protocol line, so skip it if the listing must say Wi-Fi. It leads this table because the review file is the largest. This is not a laboratory test.
How much does a fingerprint door opener cost?
In this amazon.co.uk set the levers with a review line sit between £31.99 and £40.99. The AccessShield bolt kit is £54.99 and the Swokely Wi-Fi lever is £72.99. Simpled is £279.99, the only listing here inside the Which? band of about £200 to £300 for a typical smart lock. Which? also puts a conventional front-door lock replacement around £90 to £170. Those bands are not these lever prices. The levers cost less because they replace a handle and a latch, not a multipoint gearbox.
What should I check before I buy a fingerprint door opener?
Check the door family first. Internal timber with a tubular latch can take a lever. A uPVC or composite front door with a multipoint lock needs a euro cylinder or a handle made for that gearbox. Then measure thickness. Do not treat a no-drilling line as a measurement when the same page mentions a hole around 54 mm. Keep a second way in: a PIN, a card or a mechanical key. Read whether the protocol line says Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. An app is not the same thing as Wi-Fi.
Will a fingerprint lever fit a uPVC front door?
No listing kept here is a euro-profile cylinder for a UK multipoint door. The levers quote timber bands from 30–55 mm to 35–60 mm, and both DHEISHA pages also say the lock fits most US doors. AccessShield is a mains bolt for a flush wooden or iron frame, not a gearbox. Simpled is a double-sided lock at £279.99 with no thickness in millimetres. Police advice on euro cylinders points to a TS 007 three-star cylinder or Sold Secure Diamond (SS 312). Call a locksmith before you drill a multipoint door.
Do I need Wi-Fi on a fingerprint door opener?
Only if someone must issue a code when they are not standing at the door. Bluetooth means the phone has to be near. Do not infer Wi-Fi from the word app. In this set the protocol line says Wi-Fi for Swokely, AccessShield and Simpled. TEKXDD names Tuya in the bullets and has no protocol line, and one review says it has no Wi-Fi. A Wi-Fi lock should be treated as in scope of the UK product-security rules from 29 April 2024. A Bluetooth-only latch may sit outside that net.
Should I put a camera beside the lock?
A fingerprint lock does not show you who is outside. If you want a view of the door as well as a code, read a camera beside a smart lock. Keep the jobs separate: the lock is the credential, the camera is the picture. Do not assume a Tuya lock and a camera share one account just because both apps exist. For a short let, storing fingerprints is special-category data for an organisation, and you still need another way in. A family bedroom is a different case.
Are the batteries included, and what if the latch jams?
On the levers in this set, four AAA batteries are required and are not in the box. A USB or USB-C port is described for an emergency opening, and several listings say not to charge the batteries that way. A flat battery is not automatically a fault under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Faulty goods can be rejected within 30 days; after that the retailer gets a chance to repair or replace. A latch that jams someone inside needs a locksmith, not more force on the door.
Are the DHEISHA silver reviews a separate set?
No. The silver DHEISHA page shows 4.2 from 96 ratings, and the review texts in that file match the black ASIN B0DQKFHBNR. Colour on the silver page is silver, while the part number is printed as Black Smart Door Lock. The protocol line says a proprietary app, not Bluetooth. Thickness is still 30–55 mm timber, and the shared review text includes latch failures. Treat that text as one sample, not two. A 5.0 from two or nine ratings is not a durability result.

Our verdict

The top pick is the TEKXDD Smart Lock-0421 if your door is about 35–55 mm and you want the largest review file in this set. The best value is the Yocdunm lever if you want a key and a code at about £31.99 and you do not want an app. Neither is a euro cylinder for a multipoint front door. Swokely is the lever whose protocol line says Wi-Fi, on 12 ratings. We did not run a laboratory test.
