Vole control comparison 2026

The best vole control products, compared.

Top pick: NAKAICUN solar 4-pack Best value: SWISSINNO wire trap, 2 pack – 61 points at about £4.99, the best score per pound here. Three UK reviews in the sample still report misses. Updated October 2026.

Peter F.
Peter F.Editor

A soft lawn, a shallow tunnel, or bark taken from a young tree is the usual reason to look at vole control. Nearly every title names moles and voles together, and many reviews are about molehills. Loose hills of soil point to a mole. Soft lawns and shallow tunnels point to voles. A bank beside slow water can be water-vole habitat, and water voles are protected. The field vole is absent from Northern Ireland. Before you set anything, read [water vole or field vole](/hub/pest-control/vole-control/sub/vole-control-water-vole-or-field-vole). Three UK reviews in the first 50 still report misses, so that badge is not a catch rate. Vole control means a device you place where a small mammal is already using a run. It is not a spray and not a poison. The twelve amazon.co.uk listings are tunnel snaps, a wire trap, a scissor trap, one scent pack, and solar sonic stakes.

The best vole control products in detail

NAKAICUN solar 4-pack

Rank 1

NAKAICUN solar 4-pack

∼£20

Our view

The NAKAICUN MY4 is a green solar stake listed at £19.99, 18 × 12 × 8 cm and 330 g, with a title that says a pack of 4. The star line is 5.0 from 33 reviews. Only 4 of 27 captured reviews are from the UK, and those four report less digging or an easy solar set, with no failure described. The bullet says 400 Hz pulses every 30 seconds, which is a stated frequency and not an ultrasonic one, plus a seller claim of up to 650 square metres and a wait of 2 weeks or longer. Waterproof is a word in the listing, not an IP number. The unit count says 1 against the 4-pack title. That 5.0 sits on a thin UK sample, so it is not a measured vole result.

Pros

  • States 400 Hz rather than only the word ultrasonic
  • £19.99
  • Four UK reviews report less digging or an easy solar set

Cons

  • Unit count says 1
  • Only 4 of 27 captured reviews are UK
  • No complaint in those four, so the gap is sample size
  • Waterproof is a word, not an IP number

Best for: A sunny lawn if you accept a seller coverage claim and a star line built mostly outside the UK sample.

Less suitable: Shade, or a buyer who reads 400 Hz as a tested vole result.

Common questions

Is the pulse ultrasonic?

The bullet says 400 Hz low-frequency pulses every 30 seconds. 400 Hz is not an ultrasonic frequency.

How many stakes does the listing count?

The title says 4. The unit count says 1.

How many of the captured reviews are from the UK?

4 of 27. They report less activity or an easy set. They do not describe a failure.

NIUBDHQ solar 4-pack

Rank 2

NIUBDHQ solar 4-pack

∼£26

Our view

The NIUBDHQ AR08M-C is a green solar stake at £25.99, 6.9 × 6.5 × 25 cm and 520 g, in ABS and polycarbonate. The title and the unit count both say 4, which is rarer agreement in this set. The star line is 5.0 from 3 reviews, all dated 1 September 2026, and one of those three calls it a 2-pack. UK reviews mention an easier screw-in set. The bullet claims IP65, up to 460 square metres, spacing about every 15 metres, and a wait of 2–4 weeks, and it says 5 hours of sun for 38 hours after you charge for at least two days first. You are told to wipe the panel. Three reviews on one date are not a season of use, so the matching pack count is the clearer fact than the stars.

Pros

  • Title and unit count both say 4
  • IP65 claimed
  • Dimensions include a 25 cm length
  • UK reviews mention an easier screw-in set

Cons

  • 5.0 from 3 reviews, all on 1 September 2026
  • One review says 2-pack
  • Effect claimed in 2–4 weeks, which is a seller line
  • Panel must be kept clean

Best for: A sunny garden if a matching pack count matters more than a deep review sample.

Less suitable: Shade. The bullet says charge for at least two days in the sun first.

What weather mark is claimed?

The bullet says IP65 and tells you to wipe the solar panel.

How long does the listing say to wait?

The bullet says 2–4 weeks, and to move the stake if new moles appear.

TOPsic solar 8-pack

Rank 3

TOPsic solar 8-pack

∼£30

Our view

The TOPsic Mru-002-U-8JX is listed at £29.99 with a title that says an 8-pack of solar stakes. The star line is 5.0 from 3 reviews: two mention moles and an easy set, and one says foxes stopped. None describes a broken unit. The unit count and the pieces field both say 1. The technical block lists 6 × 3 × 1 cm and 10 g, which does not match an 8-pack of garden stakes, against ABS plastic and stainless steel in the material line. The maximum-range attribute says 650 metres and the bullet says up to 7,000 square feet, about every 70 feet. A bullet claims about 4 hours of charge for 5–7 days, and waterproof with no IP numeral. The attribute target says mole, while the bullets also list voles, shrews, gophers, mice, rats and snakes.

Pros

  • Solar, with a 4-hour charge claim for 5–7 days
  • Three UK reviews, two about moles and one about foxes
  • ABS and stainless steel listed

Cons

  • Title says 8. Unit count and pieces say 1.
  • Weight 10 g and size 6 x 3 x 1 cm do not match an 8-pack of stakes
  • Range is 650 metres in the attribute and 7,000 sq ft in the bullet
  • One of three reviews is about foxes

Best for: Only if you can confirm the pack size on the live page. The file disagrees with itself.

Less suitable: A shaded spot, or anyone treating 650 metres and 7,000 sq ft as the same claim.

What did the three reviews cover?

Two mention moles and an easy set. One says foxes stopped. None describes a broken unit.

KSLDNZMA solar 8-pack

Rank 4

KSLDNZMA solar 8-pack

∼£27

Our view

The KSLDNZMA DAA854UK(AB)_XLY is listed at £26.99 as eight green solar stakes, 16 × 13 × 25 cm and 690 g, and the unit count also says 8. The star line is 5.0 from 2 reviews, both from the United Kingdom. One says it seems to be working, and the pair mention a quick install and UK sun. Neither describes a fault. The power-source attribute is a slash, while the bullets say solar. Waterproof is claimed with no IP numeral, and the stake is meant to sit at least 2 inches above ground so water does not enter. Coverage is a seller claim of up to 44 feet diameter, with stakes spaced about every 70–96 feet. Two reviews and a blank power field are the limit, even though the pack count matches.

Pros

  • Unit count matches the 8-pack title
  • Model code includes UK
  • Two UK reviews mention a quick install and UK sun

Cons

  • Power attribute is a slash
  • No IP numeral
  • 5.0 from 2 reviews
  • Coverage is 44 feet diameter, a seller claim

Best for: A sunny lawn if you want eight stakes and will ignore the blank power attribute.

Less suitable: A buyer who needs an IP rating or more than two reviews.

KQPNMJ scent pack of 8

Rank 5

KQPNMJ scent pack of 8

∼£16

Our view

The KQPNMJ pack is listed at £15.99 as eight plant-based scent pieces, each about 40 × 40 × 40 mm, with a claimed cover of up to 12 m² and a claimed life of about 60–90 days. It is rated 4.3 from 35 reviews, and 30 of the reviews in the file are from the UK. Some of those report moles leaving, and several buyers chose it because of a dog. At least one review says moles kept coming, and one review is about indoor mosquitoes rather than a lawn. The smell is the repeated limit: it stays on the hands, and one review says wear gloves. The title says ultrasonic, while the bullets and the reviews describe scent balls, not a powered stake. The unit count says 8 and the pieces field says 1.

Pros

  • 30 UK reviews in the file
  • Some report moles leaving
  • Chosen because of pets
  • £15.99

Cons

  • Strong smell. One review says wear gloves.
  • Moles kept coming in at least one review
  • Pieces field says 1 against a pack of 8
  • One review is about indoor mosquitoes

Best for: A lawn where you will not use a snap because of a dog, and you can tolerate the smell.

Less suitable: A buyer who wants an ultrasonic stake. The bullets describe scent, not a powered device.

Several UK reviews bought it because of a dog. Others say the smell stays on the hands and that gloves are needed.

How many pieces are listed?

The title and unit count say 8. The number-of-pieces field says 1.

SWISSINNO SuperCat, 2 pack

Rank 6

SWISSINNO SuperCat, 2 pack

∼£34

Our view

The SuperCat two-pack is the same tunnel snap twice, 360 g, at £34.39, against £17.99 for one of the family. It is rated 4.2 from 1,362 reviews. UK reviews in the extract call the set easier than scissor traps and the hole neater than a large dug pit. Seven of the first 50 reviews are from the UK. One of those says the animal was still alive between the jaws and was released, so a strike is not the same as a kill. The pieces field matches the two-pack title, but the probe and cutter are not in the box, and the target attribute still says mouse. The rank string matches the single SuperCat. Take the pair when you have two straight runs and will buy the cutter separately.

Pros

  • Two traps for a system with more than one run
  • UK reviews say easier than scissor traps
  • Neater hole than a large dug pit
  • Pieces field matches the two-pack title

Cons

  • £34.39 against £17.99 for one of the same family
  • Probe is not in the box
  • One UK review says the animal was held alive
  • Same Garden rank string as the single trap

Best for: Two straight vole runs, with the probe and cutter bought separately if you need them.

Less suitable: Someone who wants one trap only, or who cannot accept a strike that a reviewer found still alive.

What did UK reviews say about the strike?

Some report catches and an easy set. One says the animal was still alive between the jaws and was released.

SWISSINNO SuperCat, 1 trap

Rank 7

SWISSINNO SuperCat, 1 trap

∼£18

Our view

The SWISSINNO SuperCat single is a hand-powered tunnel snap, 22.3 × 5.9 × 9.5 cm and 147 g, listed at £17.99. The bullets put it in a straight run with a 6 cm opening, not deeper than about 15 cm, with no bait, covered against light and air, and checked within a day. Across 6,424 amazon.co.uk reviews it sits at 4.0 stars. UK comments in the extract call it easier to set than a scissor trap, and the handle drops when it fires. The same review set includes many mole attempts that fill the trap with soil, so a mound is the wrong hole. The title names field and meadow voles while the target attribute says mouse, and the model field is 1 541 001 while the part number is 1 543 001EU. Its Best Sellers Rank string matches the two-pack, so that rank line does not separate the single trap.

Pros

  • Easier set than scissor traps in UK reviews
  • Handle drops when it fires
  • No bait in the bullet
  • £17.99 for one named SuperCat

Cons

  • Many reviews are mole attempts that fill the trap with soil
  • Model 1 541 001 and part 1 543 001EU disagree
  • Rank string matches the two-pack in this scrape
  • Attribute target says mouse

Best for: A straight vole run not deeper than about 15 cm, if you can check the trap the next day.

Less suitable: A molehill, a water-vole bank, or a buyer who needs the probe and cutter in the same box.

Common questions

Does this listing include bait?

The bullets say no bait. The trap is pushed into a straight run and the handle shows when it has fired.

What does the listing say about depth?

The bullet says a straight run not deeper than about 15 cm, in a clean 6 cm opening, covered against light and air.

Why do the model numbers disagree?

The model field is 1 541 001 and the manufacturer part is 1 543 001EU. Both are in the same saved listing.

SWISSINNO wire trap, 2 pack

Rank 8

SWISSINNO wire trap, 2 pack

Our view

The SWISSINNO wire trap is listed at £4.99 for two, model 1 702 001, 19.5 × 8 × 5.5 cm and 170 g. The material field says iron and the bullet says copper-coated steel. The amazon.co.uk line is 3.8 from 277 reviews. Only 3 of the first 50 reviews are from the UK, and those three report a miss, earth pushed through without a trigger, and a long body that was hard to fit in a vole run. The printed set is a straight passage, about 5–7 cm in, then covered, with carrot, celery or potato optional on the ring. The title and pieces field say 2 while included components says 1 piece. A mole-protection sentence on the listing refers to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which the extract does not treat as UK law.

Pros

  • £4.99 for two traps
  • Bait can be fixed to the ring
  • Model and part number agree: 1 702 001

Cons

  • Only 3 of the first 50 reviews are from the UK
  • Those UK reviews report misses and a long body
  • Included components says 1 piece
  • The mole-protection sentence is about Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Best for: A straight shallow run where a short wire can slide in about 5–7 cm.

Less suitable: A branched or tight vole run. Three UK reviews in the capture say it was hard to place.

How many are in the box?

The title, unit count and pieces field say 2. The included-components line says 1 piece.

What did the UK reviews say?

Three UK reviews in the first 50: hard to fit a vole run, earth pushed through without a trigger, and more complicated than simpler traps.

SWISSINNO scissor trap

Rank 9

SWISSINNO scissor trap

Our view

The SWISSINNO scissor trap is one galvanised alloy-steel trap at £4.81, the lowest price in this folder, model 1 703 001, weighing 210 g. It holds 3.7 stars from 206 reviews. UK reviews describe a catch once the spot is right, and they also describe a trigger plate that will not hold, a strong spring, soil that fires the trap, and fingers at risk. One UK review reports rust and a weak spring after one use, against a title that says galvanised. Two dimension lines disagree: 9 × 9.5 × 19 cm and 8.6 × 19 × 9.5 cm. The recommended-use paragraph is the wire-trap text, including a bait ring this scissor listing does not describe as its own mechanism. The attribute target says mouse while the title says mole and vole.

Pros

  • Lowest price in the folder at £4.81
  • Some UK reviews report a catch once the spot is right
  • Alloy steel, title says galvanised

Cons

  • UK reviews: hard to set, loose trigger, soil fires it
  • One UK review: rust and a weak spring after one use
  • Two dimension lines disagree
  • Setting text matches the wire trap

Best for: A buyer who can latch a strong spring and will check the trap daily.

Less suitable: Anyone who finds the trigger will not hold, or who follows the wire-trap paragraph printed on this listing.

Noctra tunnel trap, 3 pack

Rank 10

Noctra tunnel trap, 3 pack

Our view

The Noctra TUNNELMLTRP is a stainless-steel tunnel trap sold as a 3-pack at £8.95, with a listed weight of 450 g. The amazon.co.uk line is 3.4 from 14 reviews. One UK review reports a mole in one day, and another links the trap to seasonal vole runs. Several UK reviews say the armed side fires while you set the other side, with near-misses on fingers, and that instructions are missing. The packed size is 7 × 10 × 1.5 cm, which does not match the length reviewers describe. The title says 3 pack, one review talks about a 5 pack, and there is no unit-count field. The title says rust resistant, with no IP mark.

Pros

  • Three traps at £8.95
  • Stainless steel in the material field
  • A UK review reports a mole in one day
  • Another review links it to seasonal vole runs

Cons

  • Hard to set. The armed side fires.
  • Finger near-misses in several UK reviews
  • No setting steps in the attribute block
  • 7 x 10 x 1.5 cm does not match the length reviewers describe

Best for: Someone who already knows a metal tunnel trap and can keep fingers clear of the spring.

Less suitable: A first trap, loose shallow soil, or a household that needs printed steps.

BOJYS solar 8-pack

Rank 11

BOJYS solar 8-pack

∼£29

Our view

The BOJYS BOJ-QSQ-XLJ-614-YX is a green solar stake at £29.47, with a title that says an 8-pack and a unit count that says 1. The only amazon.co.uk review is 1.0, dated 15 July 2026, and it says the device did not work and that moles dug around the poles. The bullet names three modes, vibration, beep, and both, with pulses every 20 seconds for 5 seconds, and it says to wait a week before an obvious effect. It claims IP66 and up to 650 square metres, spaced about every 30 metres. The size line is 6 × 3 × 1 cm against a weight of 540 g, so the technical block disagrees with itself. Material is not stated. On this file the pack count is unresolved, and the only review reports digging around the poles.

Pros

  • Three modes are named: vibration, beep, and both
  • IP66 claimed
  • Bullet states a week before an obvious effect

Cons

  • 1.0 from 1 review
  • That review says moles dug around the poles
  • Unit count says 1 against an 8-pack title
  • Size 6 x 3 x 1 cm against a weight of 540 g

Best for: Not a first choice on this file. The only review says it did not work.

Less suitable: Anyone expecting a result in the first week. The only UK review says moles dug around the poles.

BAI-LUU solar screw, 4 pack

Rank 12

BAI-LUU solar screw, 4 pack

∼£33

Our view

The BAI-LUU 057-new is the dearest listing here, at £32.56, an orange plastic screw stake of 15 × 10 × 5 cm and 500 g. The saved listing has no customer-review line and no review text, so there is no star rating to quote. The bullets say solar, tool-free, with no wiring, six frequencies in a random cycle, and IP66. The power-source attribute says electric. The title says a 4-pack and the pieces field says 1. Range is printed twice and does not match: 300 metres in the attribute and up to 3,000 square feet in the bullet, with a wait of about 4 weeks. The target attribute includes squirrel, raccoon, cat, snake, vole, groundhog and armadillo. Until the live page settles power, pack and range, this is a listing conflict with no buyer record behind it.

Pros

  • Screw-in stake described as tool-free
  • Six frequencies in a random cycle
  • IP66 claimed

Cons

  • Dearest price in the folder
  • Power attribute says electric
  • Range is 300 metres and also 3,000 square feet
  • Pieces field says 1. No reviews.

Best for: Only after you resolve electric versus solar on the live page. This file has no reviews.

Less suitable: A buyer who needs a star line, a clear pack count, or a range in one unit.

Common questions

Does the listing say solar or electric?

The bullets say solar, with no wiring. The power-source attribute says electric.

What range is printed?

The maximum-range attribute says 300 metres. The bullet says up to 3,000 square feet per unit.

Is there a star rating?

The saved listing has no customer-review line and no review text.

How we compared

Scores use the twelve amazon.co.uk extracts already in this folder. This is not a laboratory test and not a count of voles removed. Four blocks sum to 100. Listing conflicts sit inside the listing-fit points and are not deducted again. The top pick is the highest score. The best value is the highest score per pound, and a 5.0 from two or three reviews cannot win that badge.

1

Star rating

40%

Up to 40 points: amazon.co.uk stars divided by 5, times 40, then rounded to the nearest integer. No review line scores 0. Worked examples from the method file: 4.0 scores 32, 4.2 scores 34, 3.8 scores 30, 5.0 scores 40, and 1.0 scores 8.

2

Review confidence

20%

Up to 20 points: 20 times log10 of the review count, divided by log10 of 6,424, then rounded. The SuperCat single is the cap. One review scores 0 because log10 of 1 is 0. No review line scores 0.

3

Listing fit

20%

Up to 20 points when the title, pack count, power and set instructions agree on a vole job. Points fall when the target attribute says mouse, the pack fields disagree, the power field is blank or contradicts the bullets, two sizes are printed, or the setting paragraph belongs to a different trap.

4

Review sentiment

20%

Up to 20 points from what the captured reviews praise and what they repeat as a fault. A same-day cluster of three reviews stays at 6. Fewer than five UK reviews inside a larger capture stays at 10 or below. Repeated finger near-misses stay at 6 or below. No review text scores 0.

Vole control buying guide

Judge the animal, then whether you can check a killing trap every day, then whether the pack count matches the title. Water voles are protected. Moles are a different animal, and GOV.UK says no commercial mole repellent is approved.

What is vole control?

Vole control on this page means a device you place where a small mammal is already using a run. It is not a spray and not a poison. The twelve amazon.co.uk listings are tunnel snaps, a wire trap, a scissor trap, one scent pack, and solar sonic stakes. Buyers arrive with a soft lawn, shallow runs, or bark stripped from a young tree. Many reviews are about molehills. Hills of loose soil point to a mole.

Best for

  • Allotment keepers who can check a trap every day
  • A straight shallow run not deeper than about 15 cm

Not ideal for

  • A water-vole bank, or a ditch or pond edge
  • A household that cannot check a trap daily

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

A vole trap in a molehill

Hills of loose soil point to a mole. SuperCat reviews that describe a mound often say the trap fills with soil. A mole set, on the GOV.UK page, is at least 150 mm down in a main tunnel. A SuperCat bullet is a straight run not deeper than about 15 cm.

  2. 2

A review count treated as a UK vole trial

The SuperCat single shows 4.0 from 6,424 reviews, and its Best Sellers Rank string matches the two-pack. That line is not a UK vole trial. Fewer than five UK reviews inside a larger capture stay low in the sentiment block. A 5.0 from two or three reviews cannot win best value.

  3. 3

A snap left set for weeks

Stake listings mention a wait of two to four weeks. A killing trap is a different job: check it at least once a day. A coverage figure the same listing contradicts, in metres and in square feet, is not a measured wider effect.

What to weigh up

Species and the shape of the run

High

Species comes first. Hills of loose soil point to a mole, which the RHS treats as an insectivore, not a vole. Soft lawns and shallow tunnels point to voles. Field voles and bank voles are the garden rodents the RHS describes, and the Wildlife Trusts say the field vole is absent from Northern Ireland. A vegetated bank of slow water is possible water-vole habitat. Water voles are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

Daily checks and listing consistency

High

In England and Wales, section 8 of the Pests Act 1954 restricts spring traps. The Small Ground Vermin Traps Order 1958 exempts break-back traps commonly used for rats, mice or other small ground vermin, and spring traps commonly used for moles in their runs. Humane on a listing is not an approval. Scotland is outside that section of the 1954 Act. Check a set trap at least once a day. Some scissor and tunnel reviews describe springs that threaten fingers.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Unsure if it is a molehill

Loose hills of soil point to a mole, and a vole snap in that mound fills with soil in the SuperCat reviews. The KQPNMJ pack is scent, not a stake, at about £15.99, with 4.3 from 35 reviews. Some UK reviews report moles leaving and several buyers chose it because of a dog. The smell stays on the hands. It is not an authorised biocide in this file.

A straight run you can check daily

You can tell a shallow run from a molehill, and you can check a trap the next day. The SWISSINNO SuperCat single is the top pick at about £17.99. The bullets specify a straight run, a 6 cm opening, and depth not more than about 15 cm, with no bait. The attribute still says mouse, and the 6,424-review line is not a UK vole trial.

A dog or children, and a stake

You want a non-lethal stake and you can read the evidence limit first. The NAKAICUN solar 4-pack is about £19.99, with a stated 400 Hz pulse, which is not an ultrasonic frequency. The star line is 5.0 from 33 reviews, and only four of the captured reviews are from the UK. GOV.UK says no commercial mole repellent is approved.

Common questions about vole control products

Which listing is the top pick for vole control in 2026?
The top pick is the SWISSINNO SuperCat single, B000PKII2C, at about £17.99. It scores 79: 4.0 from 6,424 amazon.co.uk reviews, for a straight run with a 6 cm opening, not deeper than about 15 cm, checked within a day. The title names voles and the attribute says mouse. Many reviews are mole attempts that fill the trap with soil. The score is not a count of voles removed, and the shared rank is not a UK vole trial.
How much does vole control cost on amazon.co.uk?
From these twelve listings only. Under £10 sit the scissor trap at £4.81, the wire two-pack at £4.99, and the Noctra three-pack at £8.95. About £16 to £20 covers the scent pack at £15.99, one SuperCat at £17.99, and the NAKAICUN stake at £19.99. About £26 to £35 covers the other solar packs and two SuperCats at £34.39. Two SuperCats cost about twice one. A £30 solar pack is not a measured wider effect.
What should I check before I buy?
Start with the animal. Loose hills point to a mole. Soft lawns and shallow tunnels point to voles. A bank of slow water may be a water vole, which is protected. Section 8 of the Pests Act 1954 restricts spring traps in England and Wales. Humane on a listing is not an approval. SuperCat bullets specify a straight run, a 6 cm opening, and depth not more than about 15 cm. Check a set trap at least once a day.
Can I trap a water vole?
No. Water voles are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. In England, GOV.UK says intentional killing, injury or taking is an offence, as is damage, disturbance or blocking of a shelter. NatureScot says Scotland currently protects places of shelter, not the animal itself. Do not copy that line onto a field vole in a dry lawn. The field vole is absent from Northern Ireland. Call an ecologist if the damage is on a ditch or pond bank.
Do the solar stakes clear voles?
Not on the evidence in this folder. Coverage figures are seller claims, and several listings contradict their own pack count or range unit. GOV.UK says no commercial mole repellent is approved. The RHS says electronic mole devices may only move the animal elsewhere. Gorman and Lamb (1994) found no sign that 0–20 kHz scarers repelled radio-tracked European moles. A 5.0 from two or three reviews is not a clearance. Stake and scent listings sit in the vole repellent comparison.
Is the SuperCat an approved spring trap?
This file does not show an approval. Humane is not a legal class. In England and Wales, section 8 of the Pests Act 1954 restricts spring traps. The 1958 Order exempts common break-back traps and mole-run spring traps. Scotland is outside that section. The SuperCat bullets describe a straight shallow run and a check within a day. One UK review of the two-pack says the animal was still alive between the jaws.
When should I call someone else?
Call an ecologist when the damage is on a ditch or pond bank, when a trap cannot be checked daily, when poison is the remaining idea, or when an animal is injured and still alive. Poison is not in this folder. From 1 January 2025, HSE bars second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides in open areas. A vole trap in a molehill, or a review count treated as a UK vole trial, is a common mistake on this page.

Our verdict

The top pick is the SWISSINNO SuperCat single at about £17.99, for a straight run not deeper than about 15 cm, checked the next day. It is the highest score in this set, 79, from 4.0 and 6,424 reviews. The mouse attribute and the soil-filled mole attempts stay in that score. The best value is the SWISSINNO wire trap at about £4.99, 61 points, the highest score per pound. Three UK reviews in the first 50 report misses, so the badge is not a catch rate. The other ten listings have no badge. Water voles are not a target. These figures are not a laboratory test.
