The best oval pools, compared.
Top pick: Funsicle Oval Oasis Best value: Bestway Steel Pro MAX oval – The same listing is the best value. The other three cost more and, as filed, do not include a pump you can treat as UK mains. Updated October 2026.
An oval pool is an above-ground basin longer than it is wide. You look at one when a round pool will not sit on a narrow lawn. This amazon.co.uk set has two seasonal frame kits about 33 in (0.84 m) high and two steel-wall shells, at 1.20 m and 1.50 m. On these four listings, the useful checks are whether the title size matches the attribute block, whether a filter pump is in the box, and whether that pump is for UK 230 V rather than 110 to 120 V. It has no star line, and its size and material attributes contradict the title. Voltage, box contents, wall height and footprint are set out in the [oval pool buying guide](/hub/swimming-pools/oval-pool/sub/oval-pool-buying-guide). A frame hangs a liner on tubes or poles. A steel wall is a sheet shell with a separate liner. These listings do not give that extra width, so the footprint on the title is not the whole space the pool takes.

Question 1 of 2
How deep do you want the water?
The Funsicle Oval Oasis is a herringbone frame oval at about £748.46, with a title of 9 ft 10 in by 6 ft 7 in by 33 in. Amazon shows 4.0 from 41 ratings, and every review in the raw file is marked United States or Canada, so that figure is not a UK score. Those texts praise the assembly and then say the wall-mounted FiltraBoost pump is too weak to keep the water clean, stops, or leaks. The bullets state that pump at 110 to 120 V. The file does not mention 230 V or a BS 1363 plug, so a UK socket is the wrong supply for the pump as printed. A skimmer that overflows while someone is swimming, pinholes, and a broken connector also appear in those texts. Litres are not stated, and a claim of four to five people sits next to reviews that call the pool smaller than that. You would pay more than for the Bestway and still be holding a pump you should not plug in here.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A buyer who already has a 110 to 120 V supply and accepts a pump that reviewers call weak.
Less suitable: A UK garden that needs a pump on a 230 V BS 1363 socket.

Common questions
Will the included pump run on UK mains?
The bullets say the FiltraBoost 400S is 110 to 120 volts. The raw file does not mention 230 V or a BS 1363 plug.
Are the 41 reviews from the UK?
No review in the raw file is marked United Kingdom. They are marked United States or Canada. The listing average is 4.0 out of 5 from 41 ratings.
What do reviewers say about the pump?
Several say the pump is too weak to keep the water clean, stops, or leaks. A skimmer overflow while swimming is also described.
The Planet Pool oval is the largest and dearest shell here, at about £1,936.75, with a title and a matching attribute of 6.00 m by 3.20 m by 1.50 m. The bullets state 0.8 mm steel and a 0.6 mm UV-stabilised blue liner, thicker steel than the Summer Fun line, and they say the pool can be partly or fully recessed. The box text lists the wall, the liner, mounting accessories, Q4 and Q2 handrails and a grounding set. The included-components field still says skimmer, and a filter pump is not named. Capacity and weight are absent. The only review, marked Italy on 4 September 2025, is the single word “Orribile”, so the 1.0 from one rating describes no fault you can check. Assembly is required. A 1.50 m wall is real depth, and you still leave the page without a pump, a litre figure, or a UK owner account.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A garden that can take a 6 m by 3.2 m shell, including a recess, with a separate filter already budgeted.
Less suitable: A small lawn, or anyone who wants UK reviews and a pump in the box.

Common questions
Can this Planet Pool be sunk into the garden?
The bullets say it can be placed partially recessed or recessed. They do not describe the excavation or the backfill.
Is a filter included?
The included-components field says Skimmer. The box text lists the wall, liner, mounting accessories, two handrail types and a grounding set. A filter pump is not named.
What does the single review say?
It is marked Italy on 4 September 2025 and consists of the word “Orribile”. No fault is described. The listing average is 1.0 out of 5 from 1 rating.
The Bestway Steel Pro MAX oval, model 5613ZE, is a frame kit at about £548.61 whose title measures 10 ft by 6 ft 7 in by 33 in and states 969 gallons. The bullets name a filter pump, a Type I cartridge and a repair patch, and they claim a ClickConnect build in about 40 minutes. The raw file has no amazon.co.uk star line, so none of that has a UK owner sample behind it. The dimension attribute prints 3.05 m by 3.05 m, a square, and the material line says Cardboard while the bullets say a three-layer Tritech liner. No voltage and no plug type are stated, which leaves the mains unconfirmed and at least avoids a printed 110 to 120 V claim. Thirty-three inches is splash depth, and 31.8 kg is the empty carton rather than the water. It is the top pick in this set, and the best value, because it is the cheapest listing that names a pump and does not state the wrong mains. Leave it if you need the size block to match the oval title, or if you want to stand in the water.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A household that wants a seasonal splash oval with a pump named in the box, and that will check the delivered size against the title.
Less suitable: Anyone who needs standing depth, a size attribute that matches the oval title, or a confirmed 230 V plug.

Common questions
Does this Bestway set include a filter pump?
The included-components line says one pool and one filter pump. The bullets also name a 330-gallon filter pump, a Type I cartridge and a repair patch.
What size is printed on the listing?
The title says 10 ft by 6 ft 7 in by 33 in. The dimension attribute says 3.05 m by 3.05 m by 0.84 m, which is not an oval footprint. Treat the attribute block as conflicting.
Does the listing state a UK plug?
No voltage and no plug type are stated in the raw file.
The Summer Fun oval, part 341005, is a steel-wall shell at about £1,528.90. The title gives 3.00 m by 5.00 m by 1.20 m and 13,500 litres, with 0.45 mm steel and a shipping weight of 250 kg. That 1.20 m wall is the first listing in this set an adult could stand in, and 13,500 litres is about 13.5 tonnes of water if you treat a litre as about a kilogram. The included-components line is a skimmer, the bullets add a return nozzle, and they recommend a stable concrete base plate. A filter pump is not named, and the raw file has no star line. The size attribute reads 5 m by 1.2 m by 1.2 m, so the width does not match the 3.00 m in the title, and the material field says PVC. The listing also says assembly is not required, which sits oddly against a 250 kg shell. Buy it when standing depth is the point and the slab and the pump are already in the budget.
Pros
Cons
Best for: A household that wants a 1.20 m oval and will budget a concrete base and a separate filter.
Less suitable: Anyone who wants a complete kit with a pump, or a footprint they can trust from the attribute block.

Common questions
Does the Summer Fun set include a filter pump?
Included components say Skimmer. The bullets add a return nozzle. A pump is not named.
What base does the listing recommend?
The bullets say a stable concrete base plate is recommended for construction.
Do the dimensions agree?
The title says 3.00 m by 5.00 m by 1.20 m. The attribute line says 5 m by 1.2 m by 1.2 m, so the width does not match the title.
Shelf prices and review lines are the amazon.co.uk figures stored for these four listings on 16 October 2026. They are not a live reload. The editorial score on each card is a 0–100 figure for this set only. It is not the star rating times 20, not a fill test, and not a laboratory score. It does not say which oval pool is best in Britain.
Box and mains
35%A filter pump is named and the listing does not print 110 to 120 V: high, because 230 V and a BS 1363 plug are still unstated. A pump printed at 110 to 120 V scores low. A skimmer with no pump named scores low. A missing pump is not deducted again elsewhere.
Listing clarity
20%Title size, attribute size and the material line should agree. A square attribute on an oval title, a Cardboard material line, or a width that does not match the title scores low. A clash already scored here is not deducted again.
Depth and volume
20%A stated wall of 1.20 m with litres scores highest. A stated wall of 1.50 m and no litres is next. A 33 in title is splash depth. 969 gallons is left as gallons because the listing does not say US or imperial.
Price in this set
15%The captured shelf prices are £548.61, £748.46, £1,528.90 and £1,936.75. The lowest price scores highest inside this set only. It is not a survey of other shops.
Review evidence
10%No star line scores zero. A 4.0 from 41 ratings with no UK-marked review text is partial credit. One non-UK review is a thin file. Review texts marked United States, Canada or Italy are not UK owners.
Start with construction, then wall height, then what is actually in the box. A star line does not answer those three. The four prices below are amazon.co.uk shelf figures stored for this comparison, not a live reload on 16 October 2026. A frame at splash depth is a different purchase from a steel wall you can stand in. Neither steel-wall listing is a complete kit as filed.
An oval pool is an above-ground basin longer than it is wide. In a UK garden you buy one when a round pool will not sit on a narrow lawn. A frame hangs a liner on tubes or poles. A steel wall is a sheet shell with a separate liner. Straight sides need braces or under-floor straps. These listings do not give that extra width, so the footprint on the title is not the whole space the pool takes. This set has two seasonal frame kits about 33 in (0.84 m) high and two steel-wall shells.
The Bestway title is an oval, 10 ft by 6 ft 7 in by 33 in, and the attribute block prints 3.05 m by 3.05 m. The Summer Fun title is 3.00 m by 5.00 m by 1.20 m, and the attribute line does not match that width. Do not average the two lines into one footprint.
Summer Fun and Planet Pool list a skimmer. A skimmer is not a filter pump. Neither included-components line names a pump, and none of the four lines names a ladder. Budget the filter, and the way in, as separate purchases.
The Funsicle bullets state the FiltraBoost pump at 110 to 120 V. UK supply is 230 V. The file does not mention a BS 1363 plug. The Bestway listing leaves voltage unstated, which is not the same as a confirmed UK plug.
A frame hangs a liner on tubes or poles and, in this set, stops at about 33 in. A steel wall is a sheet shell. Summer Fun states 0.45 mm steel, a 1.20 m wall and 13,500 litres. Planet Pool states 0.8 mm steel, a 0.6 mm liner and a 1.50 m wall, with no litres. About 1 kg per litre means Summer Fun’s stated volume is about 13.5 tonnes. That listing asks for a concrete base plate. The Bestway empty weight of 31.8 kg is the carton, not the water.
UK supply is 230 V. The only voltage printed in this set is the Funsicle’s 110 to 120 V. Bestway names a filter pump and a Type I cartridge and does not print that voltage. It also does not print a BS 1363 plug, so the mains stay unconfirmed. Summer Fun and Planet Pool name a skimmer, not a pump. Planet Pool’s box text adds handrails and a grounding set, and the bullets claim a partial or full recess without describing the excavation.
Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.
You want a seasonal oval where a round pool will not fit, and about 33 in of water is enough. Start with the Bestway frame at about £548.61, then check the delivered size against the title. The attribute block prints a square, and the material line says Cardboard.
You want a wall an adult can stand in, and you will budget a concrete base and a separate filter. The Summer Fun shell states 1.20 m and 13,500 litres at about £1,528.90. The box list is a skimmer, not a pump.
You can take a 6.00 m by 3.20 m shell at 1.50 m, and a recess is already in the plan. The Planet Pool listing matches its own size line and states 0.8 mm steel, at about £1,936.75. Capacity is absent, and the pump is not in the box.
The top pick is the Bestway Steel Pro MAX oval, about £548.61. The same listing is the best value: it is the lowest price in this set, and it is the only row that names a filter pump without printing 110 to 120 V. It has no star line, and the size and material attributes contradict the title. Summer Fun, Funsicle and Planet Pool each cost more and, as filed, do not give you a pump you can treat as UK mains. Awarding one of those three would invent a best-value product this set does not contain. The scores rank four listings. They are not a laboratory test.
