PVC pipe comparison 2026: waste, duct and clear tube

The best PVC pipes, compared.

Top pick: Kair 100 mm duct – Highest score in this comparison, 9.2 out of 10, from 1,926 amazon.co.uk reviews. Best value: Kesote 7 by 9 mm tube – Lowest price in the set at about £4.99 for 3 m of clear 7 by 9 mm tube, for a low-pressure line, not for waste. Updated October 2026.

PVC pipe on amazon.co.uk covers more than one job. These nine listings are a 1 m black solvent-weld waste pipe, two 350 mm lengths of 100 mm ventilation duct, short rigid sleeves, and coils of clear flexible tube. The wrong row fails even when the stars are high. Match the outside diameter to the fitting and the length to the gap you measured. The clear tubes are sold as inside by outside. This set is 200 mm and 350 mm sticks, 1 m of waste, and coils of 2 m, 3 m, or 10 m. A 3 m length of 40 mm waste is not here. None of the nine prints BS EN 1329, BS EN 1566, or a WRAS number. How those jobs split is in the [PVC pipe buying guide](/hub/rods-and-pipes/pvc-pipe/sub/pvc-pipe-buying-guide). It does not make that 350 mm piece the waste pipe.

The best PVC pipes in detail

Kair 100 mm duct

Rank 1

Kair 100 mm duct

∼£10

Our view

Kair’s 100 mm by 350 mm duct is about £9.99, 4.6 from 1,926 reviews, with the United Kingdom named as the country of origin and a weight of 200 g. The bullet says both ends are female and that you cut it with a hacksaw. UK reviews use it on extractor fans and air-conditioning vents. They also say a piece arrived oval, that the wall is thin, and that it would not join dust-extractor hoses. Many texts describe 150 mm or a 1 m length, so the star line is not only this 350 mm row. It is the review-heavy 100 mm duct in the set. It is not the 25 mm waste pipe, and Fantronix lists the same nominal duct for about £8.54.

Pros

  • States United Kingdom as origin
  • Large review base for fan and vent use
  • Female ends match male duct fittings in the bullet

Cons

  • 1 mm wall
  • Oval arrival in a UK review
  • Review pool includes other diameters
  • About £9.99 against Fantronix at about £8.54 for the same nominal size

Best for: A short 100 mm rigid vent where you want the UK-origin line.

Less suitable: Solvent-weld waste, a buried drain, or a dust-hose joiner.

Common questions

Is this a solvent-weld waste pipe?

No. The title is a 100 mm by 350 mm rigid round duct. The bullet says female ends that take male duct fittings. Clips and bends are not included.

Why do some reviews mention 150 mm?

The spec for this ASIN is 100 mm inside, 102 mm outside, and 0.35 m. Reviews in the same extract also describe 125 mm, 150 mm, and 1 m pieces. Those are not this title.

Can it take pressure or be buried?

The extract gives no pressure rating. A UK review says the plastic is not particularly thick and would crack under pressure. The wall in the spec is 1 mm.

Fantronix 100 mm duct

Rank 2

Fantronix 100 mm duct

Our view

Fantronix lists the same nominal piece as Kair: 100 mm inside, 350 mm, white PVC, 1 mm wall, female ends, at about £8.54. The extract says Ukraine, 230 g, and 4.5 from 187 reviews. Buyers cut it for an air-conditioning vent, a 100 mm fan, and a dryer hose. One review expected 150 mm, found the pipe oval, and said to avoid it. Another says it is thin. Use it as the lower-priced 100 mm by 350 mm duct in this pair. Do not use the 150 mm sentences as the size of this ASIN.

Pros

  • About £8.54 for the stated 100 mm by 350 mm duct
  • Female ends and a hacksaw cut in the bullet
  • UK reviews for a 100 mm fan and a dryer hose

Cons

  • 1 mm wall
  • Origin Ukraine, not the UK-origin Kair row
  • 150 mm reviews sit on a 100 mm title

Best for: The same short 100 mm vent as the Kair pipe, at the lower of the two prices.

Less suitable: A 150 mm opening, a waste fitting, or a pipe that must hold weight.

Common questions

Will it fit a tumble-dryer hose?

One UK review says it fitted a dryer hose. The listing itself describes a 100 mm duct with female ends, not a named dryer brand.

Is the inside 150 mm?

The title says 100 mm inside and the bullet says 102 mm outside. Reviews that mention 150 mm do not match this title.

How do you cut it?

The bullet says a fine-tooth hacksaw. A UK review says it was easy to cut with a saw.

Kesote 7 by 9 mm tube

Rank 3

Kesote 7 by 9 mm tube

Our view

Kesote is about £4.99 for 3 m of clear 7 mm by 9 mm tube, with 4.4 from 4,658 reviews in the extract. Buyers cut it with scissors, run a solar pump, and siphon an aquarium. The same reviews say it kinks, smells, and can be too soft to stay on a tail. One text measures about 4 mm, which is not this 7 mm by 9 mm title, so that size note may be another variant. There is no pressure, no temperature, and no drinking-water approval. It is the best value in this set when you need a short, cheap, clear, low-pressure tube. It is not a waste pipe and not a 100 mm duct.

Pros

  • Lowest price in the set
  • Large UK review base for a clear 7 by 9 mm tube
  • Cuts easily, including with scissors

Cons

  • No pressure or temperature stated
  • Reviews describe kinks and a soft wall
  • Not rigid waste or duct

Best for: A small clear line for a pump, a siphon, or a cable cover.

Less suitable: Solvent-weld waste, mains pressure, or a garden hose.

Common questions

Does the listing rate this tube for hot water?

No temperature is printed in the spec or the bullets. A review that warmed the tube to fit it is not a rating.

Is it approved for drinking water?

The extract has no WRAS number and no food-grade line. Do not read the clear PVC as a drinking-water approval.

Why do reviews mention kinks?

Several UK reviews in the first 50 texts say the wall is soft, kinks, or twists. One calls it too soft to push onto a fitting.

eco-filtration 25 mm waste pipe

Rank 4

eco-filtration 25 mm waste pipe

∼£10

Our view

The eco-filtration pipe, at about £10.20 in this amazon.co.uk extract, is the only row that states a solvent-weld waste outside diameter: 25 mm, about 2.5 mm wall, 1 m, black. Five UK reviews call it the right size, and one says the joints fit without slipping. The listing count is 17 at 4.2, so those five texts are not the whole set, and none of them names a fault. Cement is not in the box, the country is not stated, and there is no British Standard number. It is the top pick in this set when the fitting is 25 mm solvent-weld. It is the wrong pipe for a 40 mm bath waste or a 100 mm fan.

Pros

  • States 25 mm solvent-weld waste
  • UK review says joints fit
  • 1 m, the longest rigid pipe in the set

Cons

  • Not 32 mm or 40 mm
  • Cement and fittings not included
  • No standard number and no country in the extract

Best for: A 25 mm solvent-weld pond, filter, or waste fitting.

Less suitable: A 40 mm basin or bath waste, or a 100 mm duct.

Common questions

Will this 25 mm pipe fit a 40 mm basin waste?

The listing says 25 mm outside diameter for solvent-weld waste fittings. It does not say 32 mm or 40 mm. A reducer is not in the box.

Is solvent cement included?

No. The included-components line is the pipe. The bullet says you joint it with solvent-weld adhesive.

Can it be used outdoors?

The bullet says the PVC is suitable for indoor and outdoor installation. It gives no UV hours and no temperature.

Unifizz 32 mm rigid pipe

Rank 5

Unifizz 32 mm rigid pipe

Our view

Unifizz is a dark grey rigid piece, 28 mm inside and 32 mm outside, 200 mm long, 2 mm wall, 66.8 g, at about £8.89. The star line is 4.1 from 22, and the five UK texts in the file are about length: strong, but too short, and dear for the length. The buyers say they did not check. A 32 mm outside diameter sits on a waste nominal size, but there is no socket and no solvent-weld sentence. Use it only when 200 mm is really the gap. The eco-filtration pipe is the 1 m waste row, at 25 mm outside, not 32 mm.

Pros

  • 32 mm outside diameter stated
  • Called strong in UK reviews
  • Dark grey if that colour is the point

Cons

  • Only 200 mm
  • Reviews centre on the short length and the price
  • No joint system and no country

Best for: A 200 mm dark grey sleeve at 32 mm outside.

Less suitable: A basin run, or anyone who has not measured 200 mm.

Common questions

Is 200 mm long enough for a waste run?

The title length is 200 mm. More than one UK review says that was shorter than the buyer had in mind. The pipe is a sleeve, not a 1 m waste stick.

Does the listing claim outdoor use?

The bullet says it can be a water pipe in direct sunlight without becoming brittle. There is no UV figure and no standard number.

What do you cut it with?

The bullet says a hacksaw or a pipe cutter, and says those tools are not included.

TOP-VIGOR 40 mm rigid pipe

Rank 6

TOP-VIGOR 40 mm rigid pipe

Our view

TOP-VIGOR is white rigid PVC, 36 mm inside, 40 mm outside, 0.35 m, with a 4 mm wall and 141 g, at about £8.89. That wall is the thickest figure in this set. The star line is 4.0 from two reviews, and the only text is that it arrived and was what was needed. A bullet mentions transparency while the colour is white, so that line does not describe this row cleanly. There is no pressure, no temperature, and no fitting system. It is a short thick sleeve, not a waste system and not a duct.

Pros

  • 4 mm wall stated
  • 40 mm outside is printed clearly
  • The one review does not report a fault

Cons

  • Only 0.35 m
  • Only two reviews, one text
  • No pressure or temperature
  • A bullet mentions transparency on a white pipe

Best for: A short, thick, white sleeve at 40 mm outside.

Less suitable: A long waste run or a 100 mm fan.

Common questions

Is this an aquarium pipe?

The extract does not say aquarium. The bullets say cable sleeves, DIY, racks, and lamps, and one line says water pipes.

How thick is the wall?

The spec says 4 mm. The weight is 141 g for 0.35 m. There is no pressure rating.

What did buyers report?

The listing shows 4.0 from 2 reviews. The only text says it arrived quickly and was what the buyer needed. There is no fault in that text.

Dcizlont 8 by 11 mm tube

Rank 7

Dcizlont 8 by 11 mm tube

∼£12

Our view

Dcizlont is the long clear coil: 10 m, 8 mm inside, 11 mm outside, about £11.69, 3.9 from 57 reviews. The spec says 5 bar. The bullet’s temperature is 23 °F to 149 °F, and it claims FDA, RoHS, and REACH. UK reviews use it on a condensate pump and a water softener, and they like that it is clear. One says avoid, with no defect. One disputes the diameter. It is the coil to open when you need about 10 m and a stated 5 bar, not when you need a rigid waste pipe. The food-contact line is not a Water Fittings approval.

Pros

  • 10 m, the longest tube in the set
  • 5 bar printed in the spec
  • UK uses named for condensate and a water softener

Cons

  • 3.9 from 57, below the Kesote stars
  • Temperature only in Fahrenheit
  • FDA claim is not WRAS
  • One review says avoid with no reason

Best for: About 10 m of clear 8 mm bore at a stated 5 bar.

Less suitable: UK wholesome water, or a rigid waste fitting.

Common questions

What temperature does the listing state?

The bullet prints 23 °F to 149 °F. The extract does not convert that to Celsius and does not give a hot-waste approval.

Is the FDA line a UK drinking-water approval?

The bullet claims FDA, RoHS, and REACH for food contact. There is no WRAS number in the extract.

Why does a review argue about 8 mm?

One UK review says the listing states 8 mm outside and the tube measures about 10 mm. The title is 8 mm inside and 11 mm outside.

TA-VIGOR 9 by 12 mm tube

Rank 8

TA-VIGOR 9 by 12 mm tube

Our view

TA-VIGOR is 2 m of clear 9 mm by 12 mm tube at about £8.89, with a stated window of -5 °C to 60 °C and 0.2 MPa. The wall is 3 mm and the weight is 135 g. Only eight reviews, at 3.7. One is pleased. One says the parcel folded the tube so it would not flow by gravity. The food-grade line has no UK approval number. Choose it when you need that stated temperature and a 9 mm bore in a short length. Kesote is cheaper per metre and does not state a temperature. Dcizlont is much longer and states 5 bar.

Pros

  • Temperature and pressure both stated
  • 3 mm wall, thicker than the other clear tubes here
  • Barbed-fitting claim is explicit

Cons

  • 3.7 from only 8 reviews
  • Folded in the pack in one UK review
  • 2 m only
  • Food-grade claim has no WRAS number

Best for: A short 9 mm clear line where you want a stated 60 °C ceiling.

Less suitable: A long run, a rigid waste, or drinking water on a UK supply.

Common questions

Can it take hot liquid?

The bullet states -5 °C to 60 °C and up to 0.2 MPa. That is the listing’s ceiling, not a hot-waste system approval.

Does it come with connectors?

No. The package line is one tube. The bullet says it suits most commercial barbed fittings.

Why might water not run downhill?

One of the two UK reviews says the tube was folded in the pack and the crease stopped gravity flow.

BroLuka 20 mm rigid pipe

Rank 9

BroLuka 20 mm rigid pipe

Our view

BroLuka is listed at about £6.49 as a clear rigid pipe, 16 mm inside, 20 mm outside, 200 mm, 15 g, from China. There is no star line. The included-components field says natural latex rubber tubing, which is not the title. Item dimensions also print 36 mm by 40 mm. Until a buyer confirms the parcel, this row is a short 20 mm sleeve on the title and a data conflict in the same extract. It is the cheap rigid-looking stick. It is not a reviewed waste system.

Pros

  • Lowest rigid-looking price in the set if the title is what arrives
  • 20 mm outside and 200 mm are stated on the title

Cons

  • No reviews
  • Components line says latex rubber tubing
  • A dimensions line does not match the title
  • No pressure, temperature, or standard

Best for: Only if you have checked that 200 mm of 20 mm tube is the object, and you can return it.

Less suitable: Anyone who needs a confirmed PVC waste pipe.

Common questions

Is this rigid PVC or latex tubing?

The title says PVC rigid pipe, 16 mm inside and 20 mm outside. The included-components line says one piece of natural latex rubber tubing. The extract has no review to settle that.

How long is it?

The title and the bullet say 200 mm. The spec item length is 20 centimetres. A dimensions line also prints 36 mm by 40 mm, which does not match the title.

Are there UK reviews?

The extract has no customer-review line and no review text.

How we compared

Nine PVC pipe listings on amazon.co.uk were compared from the display extracts and from public UK sources, including Approved Documents H and F, the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, and HSE CIS27. There was no lab test. The 1–10 figure is the display score divided by 10, and that score is a star conversion, not a measured test. A missing review line sits at 1.0. The top pick is the stated 25 mm solvent-weld job, not the highest star line.

1

Job and diameter

30%

Waste, duct, flexible tube, and a short sleeve are separate jobs. Waste is named by outside diameter. Clear tube is inside by outside.

2

Length against the gap

20%

The spec length has to match the gap. This set is 200 mm, 350 mm, 1 m, or a 2 m, 3 m, or 10 m coil. A pictured 3 m waste run is not here.

3

Joint

20%

Solvent cement on rigid PVC of one system, female duct ends for male fittings, or a barb for flexible tube. Cement is not in any box.

4

Stated limits

15%

Pressure and temperature count only where the listing prints them. No British Standard or WRAS number is read from a title.

5

Price and reviews in one job

15%

Shelf price in GBP and the UK review theme are compared only inside the same job. A duct star line is not a waste score.

PVC pipe buying guide

Separate the job before you compare price or stars. In this set that job is 25 mm solvent-weld waste, a short rigid sleeve, a 100 mm duct, or a clear low-pressure tube. A higher shelf price does not buy a British Standard that the listing never prints.

What is a PVC pipe in this set?

A PVC pipe in this comparison is a length of polyvinyl chloride sold on amazon.co.uk for a job the listing actually names. That job is solvent-weld waste, a short rigid sleeve, a 100 mm round ventilation duct, or a clear flexible tube for low-pressure transfer. Stars do not travel across those jobs. Kair’s 4.6 from 1,926 reviews is a duct score. It does not make that 350 mm piece the waste pipe.

Best for

  • A 25 mm solvent-weld pond, filter, or waste fitting
  • A short 100 mm rigid vent or a clear low-pressure line

Not ideal for

  • A 40 mm basin or bath waste, which this set does not sell as a long stick
  • A buried drain, a soil stack, or UK wholesome water

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Reading inside as outside

Solvent-weld waste is named by outside diameter. The clear tubes are sold as inside by outside. Swapping those numbers is a repeated review complaint, including on the Dcizlont 8 mm by 11 mm title.

  2. 2

    Ordering 200 mm while picturing 3 m

Unifizz and BroLuka are 200 mm. TOP-VIGOR and both ducts are 350 mm. The only 1 m rigid pipe is eco-filtration, and it is 25 mm outside. A 3 m length of 40 mm waste is not in this set.

  3. 3

Treating FDA as a UK water approval

A food-grade, FDA, RoHS, or REACH line is not a WRAS number. Wholesome fittings are product-specific under the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999. Cementing flexible vinyl is a separate mistake: solvent cement is for rigid PVC of one system.

What to weigh up

Diameter and job

High

Name the job before you compare stars. Waste, a 100 mm duct, a flexible tube, and a short sleeve are separate jobs. A duct star line is not a waste score. Solvent-weld waste is named by outside diameter. The eco-filtration listing states 25 mm outside. Brett Martin’s waste range, which is not one of these nine, is 32, 40, and 50 mm, so a 25 mm row is the wrong pipe for a 40 mm bath waste. The clear tubes are sold as inside by outside: Kesote 7 by 9 mm, Dcizlont 8 by 11 mm, TA-VIGOR 9 by 12 mm.

Length, joint, and stated limits

High

Match the length in the spec table, not the length you pictured. This set is 200 mm on BroLuka and Unifizz, 0.35 m on TOP-VIGOR, Kair, and Fantronix, 1 m on eco-filtration, and 2 m, 3 m, or 10 m of small clear tube. Unifizz reviews say buyers missed that 200 mm. A 3 m length of 40 mm waste is not in the set. Approved Document F wants rigid duct on an intermittent extract, kept to 2.0 m where practical, and it does not name 100 mm. A 350 mm offcut does not prove the extract rate.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

25 mm solvent-weld fitting

You have measured a 25 mm solvent-weld waste, pond, or filter fitting and you need about 1 m. The eco-filtration pipe is about £10.20, black, with a wall of about 2.5 mm. Cement is not in the box, and it is not a 40 mm bath waste.

Short 100 mm fan sleeve

You need 350 mm of 100 mm rigid duct with female ends. Kair is about £9.99, states the United Kingdom as origin, and has the larger review base. The wall is 1 mm. It is not a waste pipe and not a buried drain.

Our recommendation

View offer

Short clear low-pressure line

You want a cheap clear tube for a pump, a siphon, or a cable cover. Kesote is about £4.99 for 3 m of 7 mm by 9 mm tube. It states no pressure and no temperature, and reviews describe kinks. It is not solvent-weld waste.

Common questions about PVC pipes

Which PVC pipe is the top pick in this set?
The top pick is the eco-filtration 25 mm waste pipe at about £10.20. It is the only listing that states a solvent-weld waste outside diameter, a wall of about 2.5 mm, and a 1 m length. UK reviews in the extract say the joints fit. Cement is not included, there is no British Standard number, and it is the wrong pipe for a 40 mm bath waste or a 100 mm fan.
How much does PVC pipe cost in this comparison?
Captured amazon.co.uk prices run from about £4.99 to about £11.69. Kesote is about £4.99 for 3 m of clear tube. BroLuka is about £6.49. The ducts, the short rigid pieces, and the 1 m waste pipe sit from about £8.54 to £10.20. Dcizlont is about £11.69 for 10 m. A higher price in this set does not buy a stated British Standard. These are extract prices, not trade-counter prices.
What should you check before you buy PVC pipe?
Name the job, then the diameter the fitting uses. Waste is an outside diameter. Clear tube is inside by outside. Then read the length in the spec, because 200 mm and 1 m are both in this set. Check the joint: solvent cement, a female duct end, or a barb. Read pressure and temperature only if the listing prints them. A star line on a duct is not a score for a waste pipe.
Does any of these PVC pipes state a British Standard?
No. None of the nine prints BS EN 1329, BS EN 1566, BS EN 1401, or BS EN ISO 1452, and none prints a WRAS number. Approved Document H points at those standards for sanitary and below-ground PVC-U. Brett Martin’s solvent-weld waste, which is not one of these listings, is 32, 40, and 50 mm to BS EN 1566-1. That background does not move onto these titles.
Can you use the clear PVC tube for drinking water?
Not on the evidence in these extracts. Kesote has no WRAS number and no food-grade line. Dcizlont and TA-VIGOR mention food contact or FDA, and neither shows a WRAS approval. Wholesome fittings are product-specific under the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999. A polyethylene supply pipe is a different set: the PE pipe comparison. Do not put an unmarked tube on drinking water because it is clear.
Is the 100 mm duct a waste pipe?
No. Kair and Fantronix are rigid round ventilation duct, 100 mm inside, 102 mm outside, 350 mm long, with a 1 mm wall and female ends. Reviews use them on fans and vents. A UK review on Kair says the plastic is not particularly thick. Do not bury a 1 mm duct, and do not read a 150 mm review as this ASIN. Fantronix is the lower price of the pair, at about £8.54 against about £9.99.
When should you stop and call a professional?
Call a professional for a soil stack, a buried drain, a sewer connection, any wholesome supply, a boiler condensate the maker specifies, and an extract that has to meet Approved Document F. A 350 mm offcut does not prove the extract rate. Solvent cement at work needs ventilation, as HSE CIS27 describes. Reading inside as outside, or cementing flexible tube, is a buying mistake, not a reason to force the joint.

Our verdict

The top pick is Kair 100 mm duct, with the highest score in this comparison (9.2 out of 10, from 1,926 amazon.co.uk reviews). The best value is the Kesote 7 by 9 mm tube at about £4.99, the lowest price, for a short clear low-pressure line. None of the nine states a British Standard or a WRAS number.
