Copper pipe comparison 2026: sizes, walls and uses

The best copper pipes, compared.

Top pick: PlumbUniverse 15 mm copper pipe, 1 m – It is the only straight metre of 15 mm copper in the set, at about £9.49, with 4.4 from 164 reviews. It does not state BS EN 1057, and reviews report dents. Best value: M METERXITY 10 mm copper tube, 3 x 300 mm – Three 300 mm tubes with a stated 10 mm diameter and 1 mm wall, at about £11.89. UK reviews say they cut and bend. Plumbing use is not answered. Updated October 2026.

A copper pipe search on amazon.co.uk is several products, not one length of plumbing tube. UK water and heating tube is seamless copper sold by outside diameter. Refrigeration coil and coated brake line are other families, and brass is not copper pipe. None of the plumbing titles states BS EN 1057. Judge each row by the printed material, the outside diameter, the wall and the length in millimetres. 100 mm is 0.1 m, and a 1 m stick is not a 3 m merchant length. How to separate those families before you compare a price is in the [copper pipe buying guide](/hub/rods-and-pipes/copper-pipe/sub/copper-pipe-buying-guide). Domestic fittings expect 15 mm, 22 mm or 28 mm. Table X is the light wall, at 15 by 0.7 mm, 22 by 0.9 mm and 28 by 0.9 mm. Is the usual refrigeration coil, under BS EN 12735-1 rather than the plumbing standard.

The best copper pipes in detail

PlumbUniverse 15 mm copper pipe, 1 m

Rank 1

PlumbUniverse 15 mm copper pipe, 1 m

Our view

The PlumbUniverse listing is 1 metre of 15 mm copper at £9.49, and UK reviews use that stick for a short under-sink or DIY repair where the pipe is recognised as 15 mm and fits. Across 4.4 from 164 reviews, buyers mention good quality and, more than once, delivery that arrived on time, with some of the outer packing described as strong. The listing allows solder-ring and compression joints, and it limits push-fit to water. The wall line prints “1” with no unit, and BS EN 1057 is not stated, so a gas mention in the bullet is not a reason to fit gas yourself. Reviewers who set the price beside a 3 m merchant or Screwfix length call 1 m dear. Bent, battered, or dented arrivals, including a slightly bent uncovered end, are the recurring fault. In this amazon.co.uk set it is the top pick when you need one straight metre of 15 mm and you check the stick for dents before you joint it.

Pros

  • 1 m of 15 mm copper, not a 100 mm offcut
  • 4.4 from 164 reviews for short repairs that fitted
  • Solder-ring, compression, and water-only push-fit stated
  • On-time delivery mentioned more than once

Cons

  • Dear beside a 3 m merchant length
  • Arrived bent, battered, or dented in reviews
  • Wall unit not stated, and BS EN 1057 is not named
  • Gas appears only as a bullet, with no competent-person note

Best for: A short 15 mm water or closed heating repair, if you inspect the metre for dents before you joint it.

Less suitable: A full run you could buy as a 3 m trade stick, or any domestic gas fitting.

Common questions

How long is this 15 mm pipe?

The listing states a 1 metre length and a 15 mm outside diameter. It is one straight copper pipe, not a 3 m merchant stick.

Which fittings does the listing allow?

It says solder-ring, compression, and push-fit. Push-fit is stated for water only.

Does the listing name BS EN 1057?

No. The listing does not state BS EN 1057 or a Kitemark.

M METERXITY 10 mm copper tube, 3 x 300 mm

Rank 2

M METERXITY 10 mm copper tube, 3 x 300 mm

∼£12

Our view

This METERXITY pack is three 300 mm copper tubes at £11.89, each 10 mm outside diameter with a 1 mm wall, and UK reviews say they cut and bend well. The rating is 4.4 from 55. Buyers in those UK notes call the metal genuine copper, mention decent wrapping, and treat the price as fair for a small craft pack. The stated uses are construction, machining, DIY, models, and wind chimes, and the listing asks whether the tube can be used for plumbing without answering. A review posted in Germany says bending was poor even after heating, and US notes mention a thinner-looking wall and a piece that was not hollow, which is not UK star evidence. The listing says surface oxidation can be polished off with fine sandpaper. In this set it is the best value when you want about 900 mm of 1 mm wall for craft work, and you are not buying a 15 mm tap tail.

Pros

  • 10 mm outside diameter and a 1 mm wall, both stated
  • UK reviews say the tubes cut and bend well
  • Three 300 mm pieces, 250 g, at £11.89
  • Oxidation is described as something you can polish off

Cons

  • Plumbing use is asked and not answered
  • Non-UK reviews report poor bending or a wall that did not match the pictures
  • No BS EN 1057
  • 300 mm pieces, so not one continuous metre

Best for: Models, light fabrication, and short craft runs where you measured 10 mm and a 1 mm wall.

Less suitable: A 15 mm or 22 mm water pipe, or anyone who needed a plumbing answer the listing does not give.

Common questions

Is this 15 mm plumbing pipe?

No. The listing states 10 mm outside diameter, 1 mm wall, and 300 mm length, three pieces.

Does the listing confirm plumbing use?

It asks whether the tube can be used for plumbing and does not answer that question. Stated uses are construction, machining, DIY, and models.

Can it be cut?

A UK review says the tubes cut and bend well. The listing also says surface oxidation can be polished off.

sourcing map 15 mm copper tube, 100 mm

Rank 3

sourcing map 15 mm copper tube, 100 mm

Our view

This sourcing map tube is 100 mm of 15 mm copper with a 1 mm wall, at £5.39, which is 10 cm and not a metre. The line is 4.3 from 273, and the same rating and largely the same review text sit on the 200 mm listing, so treat 273 as one pool. Reviews mention 100 mm, 200 mm, 4 inch, 8 inch, and 20 cm, so they are not all about this length. Praise is that the piece is copper, that a short length fitted a repair or a latch, and that one short piece arrived without knocks and did not leak. The repeated complaint is the length: buyers expected 1 m or 3 m and compared the price with B&Q, Wickes, or Screwfix. A squashed end appears, and one thin-wall split is written about 8 mm pipe, so it may belong to a shared variant. The listing asks about plumbing and does not answer. Order it only when 100 mm is the length you already measured.

Pros

  • 15 mm outside diameter and a 1 mm wall stated
  • Short repair or latch use appears in the shared reviews
  • £5.39 if 100 mm is genuinely the length you need
  • One note of a short piece that arrived without knocks

Cons

  • 100 mm, and reviews show buyers expected a metre
  • 4.3 from 273 is shared with the 200 mm listing
  • Squashed end in the review notes
  • Plumbing use is asked and not answered, and BS EN 1057 is not stated

Best for: A measured 100 mm piece of 15 mm tube for a tiny repair or a craft fitting.

Less suitable: Anyone who read 100 mm as 100 cm, or who needs a run longer than a palm's width.

Common questions

Is 100 mm a metre?

No. The listing length is 100 mm, which is 0.1 m. Reviews often say buyers expected a much longer piece.

Are the 273 reviews only for this length?

The same 4.3 from 273 and a matching review block appear on the 200 mm sourcing map listing, so treat them as one shared pool.

Does the listing confirm plumbing use?

It asks the question and does not answer it. Stated uses are machinery, DIY, crafts, and models.

sourcing map 15 mm copper tube, 200 mm

Rank 4

sourcing map 15 mm copper tube, 200 mm

Our view

This sourcing map listing is 200 mm of 15 mm copper at £8.02, which is 0.2 m and not 2 m. The title says a 1 mm wall, while the technical details line says 1 month, which is a listing error rather than a thickness. The rating is 4.3 from 273, matching the 100 mm ASIN and the same review text, so it is not a second group of 273 buyers. One review in that block says this is a 20 cm length of 15 mm tube. More than one review confuses 200 mm with 2 m, and buyers still compare the price with a merchant metre. The country-of-origin field says United Kingdom while the 100 mm twin says China, and the listing claims seamless construction without stating BS EN 1057. Use it for a 200 mm piece you have measured, and do not add the two star lines together.

Pros

  • Title states 200 mm, 15 mm outside diameter, and 1 mm wall
  • A review identifies the piece as 20 cm of 15 mm tube
  • Seamless construction is claimed on the listing
  • Same copper description as the shorter sourcing map tube

Cons

  • 200 mm is often read as 2 m
  • The 273 reviews are shared with the 100 mm listing
  • Technical wall field says 1 month
  • £8.02 for 0.2 m, with no BS EN 1057

Best for: A measured 200 mm offcut of 15 mm tube, if you already know it is 20 cm.

Less suitable: A 2 m run, or a score that treats this star line as separate from the 100 mm tube.

Common questions

How long is this tube?

The title states 200 mm. That is 0.2 m, not 2 m. A review in the shared block makes the same point.

What is the wall thickness?

The title says 1 mm. The technical details line says 1 month, which is a listing error, not a thickness.

Why is the review count the same as the 100 mm tube?

The same 4.3 from 273 and largely the same review text appear on both sourcing map listings. Do not add the two lines together.

M METERXITY 5 mm copper tube, 2 x 300 mm

Rank 5

M METERXITY 5 mm copper tube, 2 x 300 mm

Our view

The METERXITY 5 mm pack is two 300 mm tubes at £5.19, with a 0.2 mm wall, and the clearest UK review says that wall will not take a bend. The rating is 4.2 from 47. Other UK comments say the tubes arrived as described, at a good price, with prompt dispatch, and one calls the piece great copper pipe. The folding note says the tube creased even after annealing, and that the gauge is too thin except for a straight run. Texts in the same block also describe 10 mm, 4 mm, or a 1 mm wall, so they are not all about this title. One buyer returned a very thin gauge, and another said a tube arrived damaged. The bullets claim corrosion resistance and craft uses such as models and wind chimes. Buy it only when the run stays straight and a fold would not matter.

Pros

  • Lowest shelf price in the set, at £5.19
  • 5 mm outside diameter and 0.2 mm wall stated
  • Two 300 mm pieces for straight craft work
  • 4.2 from 47 reviews, with praise for price and dispatch

Cons

  • UK review says it folds when bent, even after annealing
  • 0.2 mm wall is a model gauge, not a plumbing wall
  • Review texts mix other diameters and walls
  • Damage in transit and a returned thin gauge appear in the notes

Best for: A straight model or craft piece where 5 mm and a very thin wall are what you measured.

Less suitable: Any bend, and any 15 mm plumbing joint.

Common questions

How thick is the wall?

The title and technical details state a 0.2 mm wall and a 5 mm outside diameter.

Will it bend?

A UK review says it would not take a bend without folding, even after annealing, and that the wall is too thin except for straight runs.

Is it a plumbing size?

The listing does not state a plumbing use. It is a 5 mm craft pack.

MospdyGear 1/4 inch brake pipe, 25 ft

Rank 6

MospdyGear 1/4 inch brake pipe, 25 ft

∼£17

Our view

The MospdyGear kit is 25 ft of 1/4 inch brake pipe at £16.99, the material line says copper-plated iron, and the title calls the same pipe iron-plated copper. The wall is stated at 1.5 mm, the weight at 800 g, and the colour as black, with 16 nuts in the box. The rating is 4.0 from 8 reviews. The listing has no review text, so there is no UK account of rust, flares, or fit to quote. The listing says the pipe bends by hand with basic tools, and it names hydraulic brakes, fuel systems, and transmission lines. It does not name a brake standard, MOT approval, or copper-nickel, and a thicker printed wall than the 0.71 mm kits is not evidence that this pipe resists salt. Ranked 8 in Car Brake Pipes on the captured page, it is still an eight-review file with nothing written underneath.

Pros

  • Material line says copper-plated iron, so the coating is not hidden
  • 1/4 inch, 25 ft, 1.5 mm wall, and 16 nuts stated
  • 4.0 from 8 reviews, the only starred brake file with a consistent diameter
  • £16.99 for a full 25 ft coil

Cons

  • No review text, so rust and flare comments are unknown
  • Only eight reviews
  • Not stated as copper-nickel
  • Title and material wording do not match each other cleanly

Best for: A 1/4 inch plated-iron coil with nuts, if you can flare and bleed the brakes and you accept a file with no written reviews.

Less suitable: A Kunifer replacement, or a pipe you would trust from stars alone.

Common questions

Is the pipe solid copper?

One brake line and 16 nut accessories. The stated tube length is 25 ft and the outside diameter is 0.25 inch.

The listing is 4.0 from 8 reviews. The listing has no review text, so praise and complaints are n/a.

PANTSLINE coated brake pipe kit, 32.8 ft

Rank 7

PANTSLINE coated brake pipe kit, 32.8 ft

∼£22

Our view

The PANTSLINE kit is a 32.8 ft coated brake line at £21.99, with 20 nuts and 12 extra fittings, and UK reviews say it rusted within about a year. The title says 3/16 inch and the technical details say 0.38 inch, so the diameter is not settled by the page. The wall is stated at 0.71 mm, the material field says brass and copper, and the item type is copper-coated tubing. Across 3.8 from 13 reviews, six UK texts describe a pipe that flared with a DIY tool, arrived neatly coiled, and did the job at first. The same file says the pipe was rusty after about 10 to 12 months, and one Volvo V40 repair then failed an MOT. An 880 bar figure is a listing field, not a working pressure we are treating as tested, and copper-nickel is not stated. The extra fittings do not offset a diameter clash and a rust complaint on the pipe you would leave under the car.

Pros

  • 20 nuts and 12 extra fittings in the kit
  • UK reviews say it flared with a DIY tool and arrived without dents
  • 32.8 ft, longer than the 25 ft coils
  • 0.71 mm wall is at least printed

Cons

  • Title says 3/16 inch and the technical field says 0.38 inch
  • UK reviews report rust in about 10 to 12 months
  • One replaced pipe failed an MOT on a Volvo V40
  • Not stated as copper-nickel, and the material field says brass and copper

Best for: No hydraulic brake repair in this set, until the diameter fields agree and you are not relying on the rusted examples.

Less suitable: A salty underside, a 3/16 inch nut you must match first time, or anyone reading the title as Kunifer.

Common questions

Which diameter is it?

The title says 3/16 inch. The technical details say 0.38 inch. Those figures do not match, so check the pipe before you rely on it.

Did UK buyers report rust?

Yes. Reviews say the pipe rusted in about 10 to 12 months, and one Volvo V40 repair then failed an MOT.

Is copper-nickel stated?

No. The item type is copper-coated tubing, and the material field says brass and copper.

BRRNOO 1/2 inch soft copper coil, 2 m

Rank 8

BRRNOO 1/2 inch soft copper coil, 2 m

∼£12

Our view

The BRRNOO listing is a soft coil titled as 1/2 inch copper, 2 m long, at £11.84, for refrigeration and plumbing. The wall thickness is not given, neither BS EN 12735-1 nor BS EN 1057 is named, and included components are marked No, so there are no flare nuts and no plumbing fittings. The item weight is 100 g for that stated 2 m coil, which is a very light parcel for copper tube of that length, and the colour field prints #143. The rating is 1.0 from one review, and the listing has no review text, so praise and the reason for the star are both unknown. Bullets claim an anti-corrosion coating and say the coil is flexible. The date first available is 17 June 2025. Treat it as an unspecified soft coil, not as refrigeration tube you can braze from the listing alone.

Pros

  • Title states a 2 m coil rather than a 100 mm stub
  • Flexible coil is what the bullets claim
  • No fittings are implied: included components are marked No

Cons

  • 1.0 from one review, with no review text
  • No wall thickness and no BS EN 12735-1 or BS EN 1057
  • 100 g for a stated 2 m coil
  • 1/2 inch is not a stated 15 mm plumbing size

Best for: Nobody in this set, until a later listing states a wall, a standard, and a review you can read.

Less suitable: A refrigeration joint, a 15 mm water repair, or a brake flare.

LZYDKH 1/4 inch brake pipe, 25 ft

Rank 9

LZYDKH 1/4 inch brake pipe, 25 ft

∼£15

Our view

The LZYDKH kit is 25 ft of 1/4 inch brake line at £14.99, stated as 6.35 mm outside diameter and 7.62 m, with a 0.71 mm wall and 16 flare nuts. The material line says copper-coated alloy, not copper-nickel, even though the title says copper brake pipe. There is no customer-review line and no review text, so rust, flare quality, and fit are unknown on this ASIN. The listing says you can bend the pipe by hand without specialised tools and cut it shorter. The vehicle-fit question is on the listing and is not answered. Colour is given as gold, weight as 780 g, and the manufacturer field says YYKYTG against the brand LZYDKH. No Kunifer alloy, brake-pipe standard, or MOT approval is stated. It is a coated 1/4 inch coil with nuts, and the missing reviews are the reason to leave it until you can check the pipe against the car.

Pros

  • 1/4 inch and 6.35 mm both stated, with a 0.71 mm wall
  • 25 ft coil and 16 flare nuts at £14.99
  • Flare named as the connector type
  • Length is long enough for more than one short section

Cons

  • No customer-review line
  • Copper-coated alloy, not copper-nickel
  • Vehicle fit is asked and not answered
  • No stated brake standard or MOT approval

Best for: A 1/4 inch coated line with nuts, only after you have confirmed that diameter on the car and accepted a listing with no reviews.

Less suitable: Anyone who wanted Kunifer, a reviewed pipe, or 15 mm plumbing copper.

BroLuka 28 mm copper tube, 100 mm

Rank 10

BroLuka 28 mm copper tube, 100 mm

∼£10

Our view

The BroLuka listing is 100 mm of 28 mm copper tube at £10.49, with a 1 mm wall and a stated weight of 70 g. The title calls it seamless T2 copper, and the material line claims at least 99.90 percent copper, cold-drawn. There is no customer-review line on the listing, so there is no star rating to lean on. Included components are marked NO. The listing mentions compression joints, flare connections, cutters, benders, and flaring tools, plus soft-soldering and brazing alloys. A burst figure of 35 MPa is a seller claim, not a cited UK working pressure, and BS EN 1057 is not stated. A 100 mm stub is not a 28 mm heating main. Buy it only as a short sample of that diameter, and only if you can accept a listing with no reviews.

Pros

  • 28 mm outside diameter, 1 mm wall, and 100 mm length all stated
  • Listing claims seamless T2 copper at 99.90 percent or more
  • Compression and flare fittings are named, with no fittings in the box
  • 70 g, so the parcel matches a short stub rather than a 3 m stick

Cons

  • No customer-review line
  • 100 mm is not a heating run
  • 35 MPa is an uncited seller claim
  • No BS EN 1057, and included components are marked NO

Best for: A measured 100 mm sample of 28 mm tube for a fitting check or a craft piece.

Less suitable: A gravity or pumped heating main, or anyone who needs reviews before they buy.

How we compared

Ten amazon.co.uk listings captured on 15 October 2026 are scored from 0 to 100. Stars, review volume, how clearly the listing states diameter, length and wall, fit for the stated job at the captured price, and UK review notes each have a fixed share. There is no pressure test and no laboratory score. Dents, a gas bullet with no BS EN 1057, a length read as a metre, a folding wall, missing reviews and a diameter clash are deducted.

1

Stars

25%

Up to 25 points from the amazon.co.uk star average: stars divided by 5, times 25, rounded half up. A listing with no rating line scores 0.

2

Review volume

20%

Up to 20 points from the number of ratings on that listing. A shared pool of 273 on the two sourcing map lengths is not counted as two samples.

3

Listing clarity

25%

Up to 25 points when outside diameter, length, wall with a unit, and the material line agree with the title. A wall printed as 1 with no unit, or a technical field that says 1 month, scores less.

4

Fit at this price

20%

Up to 20 points for an honest length for the stated job. A 100 mm piece cannot score like a metre, and the cheapest headline is not the point.

5

UK review notes

10%

Up to 10 points from what the UK review notes actually say. Stars with no review text score low. Dents, rust, a fold and a length mix-up are taken off the total.

Copper pipe buying guide

These ten rows mix plumbing tube, craft offcuts, one soft coil and coated brake line. Prices are the amazon.co.uk shelf figures from 15 October 2026, from about £5.19 to about £21.99. Read the material line, the outside diameter, the wall and the length in millimetres before you compare a price. A star rating is not a family match. The two sourcing map lengths share one 4.3 from 273.

What counts as copper pipe?

Copper pipe on these amazon.co.uk listings is several products, not one size. UK plumbing tube for water and gas in sanitary and heating use is the scope of BS EN 1057: seamless copper, usually sold by outside diameter. Domestic fittings expect 15 mm, 22 mm or 28 mm. Table X is the light wall, at 15 by 0.7 mm, 22 by 0.9 mm and 28 by 0.9 mm. Table Y is thicker. R250 is the usual straight stick. R220 is the usual refrigeration coil, under BS EN 12735-1 rather than the plumbing standard.

Best for

  • A short 15 mm water or closed-heating repair you can inspect for dents
  • Craft work where the outside diameter, wall and millimetre length are already measured

Not ideal for

  • Domestic gas fitting, which is Gas Safe work
  • A brake repair if you wanted copper-nickel or you cannot flare and bleed the line

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Reading 100 mm as a metre

100 mm is 0.1 m and 200 mm is 0.2 m. The sourcing map titles are those lengths. Reviews show buyers who expected 1 m or who read 200 mm as 2 m. Compare a price only after the length is the one you measured.

  2. 2

Treating coated brake tube as Kunifer

LZYDKH states copper-coated alloy. MospdyGear states copper-plated iron. PANTSLINE is copper-coated tubing with a brass and copper material field, and UK reviews report rust in about 10 to 12 months. None of them states copper-nickel or MOT approval.

  3. 3

Using a water push-fit on gas

The PlumbUniverse listing allows push-fit for water only. A gas bullet does not state BS EN 1057 and is not permission to fit gas. Domestic gas fittings are Gas Safe work under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.

What to weigh up

Family, diameter, length and wall

High

The first check is the family. Plumbing tube, craft offcut, refrigeration coil and brake line are not substitutes. Domestic fittings expect 15 mm, 22 mm or 28 mm outside diameter. Write that diameter down before you order. The only 15 mm metre here is the PlumbUniverse stick. The sourcing map tubes are 15 mm at 100 mm and 200 mm. METERXITY is 10 mm or 5 mm. BroLuka is 28 mm and only 100 mm long. BRRNOO states 1/2 inch and does not state 15 mm. Length on the short tubes is in millimetres.

Standard, joint and price per metre

High

A standard is only as good as the line that prints it. BS EN 1057 covers seamless copper tube for water and gas. None of these plumbing titles states it. Screwfix listed Wednesbury 15 mm by 3 m Table X at £15.60 including VAT and cited EN 1057. That stick is merchant context, not one of the ten amazon rows. Refrigeration coil is BS EN 12735-1. The BRRNOO coil names neither standard and gives no wall. Joints follow the family.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Short 15 mm repair

You need one straight metre of 15 mm copper for a short water or closed-heating tail, and you will check the stick for dents before you joint it. The PlumbUniverse listing is that metre, at about £9.49, with 4.4 from 164 reviews. It does not state BS EN 1057, and push-fit is limited to water.

Craft and model work

You measured 10 mm and a 1 mm wall, and you want pieces you can cut. The METERXITY pack is three 300 mm tubes at about £11.89. UK reviews say they cut and bend. The listing asks about plumbing and does not answer, so it is not a tap tail.

A 1/4 inch brake coil

You have confirmed 1/4 inch on the car and you can flare and bleed the brakes, or you are handing the coil to a garage. MospdyGear states copper-plated iron, 25 ft and 16 nuts, at about £16.99, with 4.0 from 8 reviews and no review text. It is not copper-nickel.

Common questions about copper pipes

Which copper pipe is the top pick in this comparison?
The top pick is the PlumbUniverse 15 mm copper pipe, 1 m, ASIN B07HJ7TH8C, at about £9.49. It is the only straight metre of 15 mm copper in the ten listings, with 4.4 from 164 reviews. UK notes use it for a short repair that fitted, and they also report dents. The wall line prints 1 with no unit, and BS EN 1057 is not stated. Push-fit on that listing is for water only. A gas bullet is not a reason to fit gas yourself.
Which listing is the best value?
The best value is the METERXITY 10 mm pack, ASIN B0DTYSQYPB, at about £11.89. You get three 300 mm tubes, a stated 10 mm outside diameter and a 1 mm wall. The rating is 4.4 from 55, and UK reviews say the tubes cut and bend. The listing asks whether it can be used for plumbing and does not answer. It is craft tube, not a 15 mm tap tail, and it does not state BS EN 1057.
How much does copper pipe cost on these listings?
Shelf prices in this amazon.co.uk capture run from about £5.19 to about £21.99. The 5 mm craft pack is £5.19 and the 15 mm by 100 mm tube is £5.39. The 15 mm metre is £9.49. The 10 mm craft pack is £11.89. Brake kits are £14.99, £16.99 and £21.99. A merchant comparison, not an amazon row: Screwfix listed Wednesbury 15 mm by 3 m Table X at £15.60 including VAT. A 1 m amazon stick is poor value per metre unless you need less than a trade length.
Is 100 mm of copper pipe a metre?
No. 100 mm is 0.1 m, and 200 mm is 0.2 m, not 2 m. The sourcing map 15 mm tubes are those two lengths, at about £5.39 and about £8.02. Both show 4.3 from 273 with the same review text, so that count is one pool. Reviews show buyers who expected 1 m or 3 m. Order either tube only when you have already measured 100 mm or 200 mm.
Does any plumbing listing here state BS EN 1057?
No. BS EN 1057 covers seamless copper tube for water and gas in sanitary and heating use. None of these plumbing titles states that standard or a Kitemark. Table X 15 mm is a 0.7 mm wall and R250 half-hard on published size tables. A 1 mm craft wall, or a line that prints 1 with no unit, is not that table. Do not treat a seller bullet as the standard.
Can I use these listings for gas or for a brake repair?
Domestic gas fittings are Gas Safe work. The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 require competence, and a gas mention on the PlumbUniverse bullet is not permission to fit gas. Coated brake pipe in this set is copper-coated alloy or copper-plated iron, not copper-nickel. UK reviews on the PANTSLINE kit report rust in about 10 to 12 months. If you cannot flare and bleed brakes, use a garage. Ferrule compression joints are not an acceptable brake repair.
When is copper pipe the wrong material?
Copper in this set is a short water or heating tail, a craft offcut, a soft coil, or a coated brake kit. It is the wrong row for a buried plastic main. Cold-water plastic pipe is a different comparison, on the PE pipe page. None of these copper listings is a 3 m Table X stick. If the job is a kitchen tap, measure the outside diameter of the pipe you are replacing before you match 15 mm or 22 mm.

Our verdict

The PlumbUniverse 15 mm by 1 m stick is the top pick because it is the only straight metre of 15 mm copper in the set, at about £9.49, with 4.4 from 164 reviews. It does not state BS EN 1057, reviews report dents, and the price is dear beside a 3 m merchant stick. The METERXITY 10 mm pack is the best value when the job is craft tube: three 300 mm pieces, a stated 1 mm wall, about £11.89, and UK reviews that say the tubes cut and bend. The £5.19 pack folds. The £5.39 tube is 100 mm. Coated brake kits are a separate family, and none of them is stated as copper-nickel.
