Corded or cordless mini circular saw

Updated: 22 October 2026

The socket decides more than the brand. A corded or cordless mini circular saw in this set starts at £36.54 if you can plug in. A £58.99 bare tool is not finished until the battery you own is one the listing and a review both accept. Peter F. compared the ten amazon.co.uk captures in our [mini circular saw comparison](/hub/power-saws/mini-circular-saw), dated 20 October 2026. Depth stays on the [85 mm or 115 mm mini circular saw](/hub/power-saws/mini-circular-saw/sub/mini-circular-saw-85mm-or-115mm) page. When the plug is the match

Near a socket, the match is a corded 230 V saw, from the HYCHIKA at £36.54 to the DOVAMAN at £69.32. You pay for a motor and a lead, not a pack. A 2 m cable is printed on the HYCHIKA, the Enventor 85 mm and the Enventor 705 W, and missing on the other three. Plug type is not in these captures. Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, regulation 35, requires a BS 1363 plug, or the stated conversion-plug route with a BS 1362 fuse. That is a check on the saw in your hand.

What a kit puts in the box

A kit names the battery and the charger. The DCA ADMY125 at £89.99 puts one 20 V 4.0 Ah pack and a 2 A charger in the bullets, and shows 4.5 from 26 reviews. The details line says two 12 V batteries are required and included. Those sentences cannot both describe the carton. The WORKPRO at £129.99 lists a 4.0 Ah pack and a fast charger, stated at about two hours, plus 24T, 60T and diamond discs, with 4.7 from 25 reviews. A B&Q Excel kit is a different shelf, and its price stays there. Who each kit is for is on the best mini circular saw page.

A bare tool is not a platform

The HuuppHip and the JOJOCY, both £58.99, ship without a battery or a charger. One UK review says DeWalt PowerStack packs do not run the HuuppHip, and the saw is not a DeWalt tool. The JOJOCY claims a Makita 18 V battery and states that none is included. It is not an OEM Makita tool. Without a confirmed battery, the finished price is the DCA or the WORKPRO. Depth still comes first, in the mini circular saw buying guide.

Runtime and the lines that disagree

WORKPRO reviews mention short life on 12 mm ply. That is a complaint, not a measured runtime, and the same review says the laser uses LR44 cells rather than the 20 V pack. “About two hours” is the charger claim, not the cutting time. The DCA lists 4,200 rpm and 6,700 rpm and no runtime, and its 20 V bullet disagrees with a two-times-12 V details line. Corded pages clash too: 750 W against 1,300 W on the HYCHIKA, and 580 W against 1,300 W on the Enventor at £42.89. None of that invents a UK plug, a brake time or a decibel figure. Beside a socket, stay corded.

Common questions

If I already have a socket, is a corded mini circular saw enough?
For laminate or shelves within reach of the lead, yes. The corded captures run from £36.54 to £69.32 and do not ask you to own a battery platform. A 2 m cable is printed on the HYCHIKA, the Enventor 85 mm and the Enventor 705 W, and missing on three other corded rows. A socket does not make a 27 mm saw cut a 47 mm stud.
Which of these saws include a battery and a charger?
The DCA bullets include one 4.0 Ah pack and a 2 A charger, at £89.99, though the details line says two 12 V batteries. The WORKPRO includes a 4.0 Ah pack and a fast charger, at £129.99, with the charge stated at about two hours. The HuuppHip and the JOJOCY, both £58.99, include neither. The six corded saws use a lead instead of a pack.
Is £58.99 cheaper than a corded saw once I buy a pack?
The £58.99 is the bare HuuppHip or JOJOCY without a battery. A corded saw here can be £36.54 to £69.32 with no pack to add. Once you price a DeWalt or Makita battery and charger, the bare tool is no longer the cheap row. If you have no pack yet, the DCA at £89.99 is the kit that states a battery in the bullets.
Will my DeWalt PowerStack pack run the HuuppHip saw?
One UK review says it does not. The listing claims other named DeWalt 18 V and 21 V packs and says the battery is not included. A review is not a compatibility chart for every pack code, and a seller’s list is not a DeWalt warranty. If PowerStack is what you own, leave this row. The genuine UK DCS571N is a different, tool-only DeWalt saw and is not in this comparison.
Does the JOJOCY take a Makita 18 V battery, and is one in the box?
The listing claims a Makita 18 V battery and says the battery is not included. It is not sold as an OEM Makita tool. The box is the saw, two 150 mm blades, one 125 mm blade, keys, gloves and goggles. Eight reviews, at 3.8, are too few to treat that fit claim as settled. Confirm the pack with the seller if you already own one.
