Outdoor rechargeable table lamp for a covered table

Updated: 2026-10-21

You are laying a table on a covered patio, a balcony or under a caravan awning, and the listing said outdoor. On amazon.co.uk that word often sits beside not water resistant. This page sorts the ten lamps in our [cordless lamp comparison](/hub/workshop/cordless-lamp) into a printed splash code, a review that mentions a code, and a straight indoor lamp. Bathroom zones stay on the [cordless lamp bathroom](/hub/workshop/cordless-lamp/sub/cordless-lamp-bathroom) page. We did not leave any lamp outside. Covered table or open rain

IP54 means dust-protected and splash-protected, not driving rain or a puddle. lights.co.uk says match the rating to a covered table or to open rain, and close the charge port. A retail rule of thumb, not a test of these ASINs, is IP54 for a covered terrace and something like IP65 in the weather. Nothing here prints IP65. dar lighting’s Munich, not in this table, is IP54 at about 190 lumens and around £85. Spray is acceptable. Submersion, pressure washing and coastal air are not. LEDVANCE’s Endura Style Table sheet prints IP54 and UKCA. Do not paste that onto a bullet that only says outdoor. The Litluzecozy calls itself an accent light at about 200 lumens. A menu may need more.

What this set actually prints

The warm-oak Litluzecozy at about £13.99 states IP54, says not to immerse the lamp, and allows a covered outdoor table while the indoor line still says indoor. It states 16 hours high or 32 low. Skip it for open rain. The white DSL04 prints IP54 and then says it is not waterproof. The OUTON at about £21.99 ticks waterproof with no IP numeral. A review says IP54 and limits you to covered splashes. The UPXNBOR at about £12.99 is the same pattern, and many reviews are shorter than 16, 9 and 7 hours. A review is not a specification. The fuaoddda and the INTELIVE tick outdoor and are not water resistant. Indoor jobs are on the best cordless lamp page.

Charge it after, not during, the damp

Copy dar lighting even for a printed IP54: recharge indoors once the lamp is fully dry, on the 5 V source the listing allows. Shut the port cover before you carry the lamp out. An open USB port is how splash becomes a dead lamp. Charge times are on how to charge a cordless lamp. The UPXNBOR says 0–5 °C may cut capacity to about 70–80%. Bring the lamp in overnight.

What all summer actually means

Do not leave any of these lamps out as a summer fitting. The review files already contain dead ports without the weather’s help. Do not charge a damp lamp on the wet table from an extension lead.

Common questions

Can I leave it on the garden table all summer?
No listing in this set supports that. IP54, where it is actually printed, is splash protection, and the Litluzecozy oak page says not to immerse the lamp. Retail guides treat a lamp that lives in the rain as a higher code, around IP65, which is not printed here. Bring the lamp in. A summer outside is how a USB port and a sealed cell fail, and the review files already contain dead ports without the weather’s help.
Is IP54 enough for rain?
It is a splash rating for a covered table, not a rating for driving rain. The oak Litluzecozy prints IP54 and tells you not to put the lamp under jets. dar lighting, on a different IP54 lamp at about £85, allows spray and rules out submersion and pressure washing. A light shower blowing onto an open table is already past the covered-table case. If the table is under a solid roof, splash is the fairer reading, and you still charge the lamp indoors once it is dry.
The listing says outdoor and not waterproof. What now?
Treat it as an indoor lamp. The fuaoddda and the INTELIVE both tick outdoor and say they are not water resistant. The linen shade on the INTELIVE and the linen shade on the fuaoddda are not outdoor materials. You can carry either out for a dry, covered evening and bring it back. You should not plan on rain. The specification row is the line to trust when it fights the bullet.
A review says IP54. Does the product?
Only if the specification or the title prints it. On the OUTON and the UPXNBOR, waterproof is a flag and IP54 is a review sentence about covered splashes. That is not the product table. On the Litluzecozy, IP54 is in the title. On the white colour of that lamp, the specification then says not waterproof, so even a printed title can be contradicted. Quote the row you can see, not the comment.
Where do I charge it after a damp evening?
Indoors, after it is dry, with any port cover closed. dar lighting tells you to recharge its IP54 lamp indoors once it is fully dry, and that is the right habit for the oak Litluzecozy as well. Use a 5 V source when the listing says 5 V. Do not charge it on the wet table from an extension lead. If it will not charge the next day, that is a dead port and a return, not a brightness setting.
Is a caravan awning the same as open rain?
No. An awning is a cover, which is why OUTON and INTELIVE reviews mention motorhomes and awnings. The INTELIVE is still not water resistant, so blown rain is a reason to move it. The OUTON’s IP54 mention is a review, not a specification, and it talks about covered splashes. A dry evening under the canvas is in range. A storm on an open pitch is not.
