What you are actually buying

A cordless table lamp here stays lit without a mains lead: a sealed cell, a USB cable and a touch control. The small MJ PREMIER is the exception, two AAA cells and a replaceable bulb at 29–33 lumens, a night glow rather than a reading light. The Litluzecozy bullet states up to about 200 lumens and calls the lamp an accent light. The fuaoddda states up to 350 lumens at 3000 K. If you need a ceiling’s worth of light, this is the wrong category.

Runtime, charger and colour

Milliamp-hours are not hours. The OUTON says up to 13–120 hours. The fuaoddda says 12 hours at full brightness and over 270 hours on low. The long number is the dim end. Lamp Library’s retailer rule of thumb is about eight hours at a medium setting. The MJ PREMIER glass listing allows only a standard 5 V charger, not a fast charger and not anything above 5 V. Water lines you can trust

Outdoor on a bullet is not an IP rating. IP54 is dust protection and splash protection, not a shower jet. Only the Litluzecozy oak listing prints IP54 and says not to immerse the lamp. The white listing prints IP54 and then says it is not waterproof. Both share 4.4 from 62 reviews. Do not add them to 124. The UPXNBOR and the OUTON tick waterproof and print no IP numeral. How this shelf is priced

How long should the battery last?
Ask which brightness. A useful listing ties hours to high and low, as the Litluzecozy does with up to 16 hours and 32 hours, or the fuaoddda does with 12 hours at full brightness. A span such as the OUTON’s 13–120 hours is the dim end at the long number. Lamp Library’s retailer rule of thumb is about eight hours at a medium setting you would actually use. Reviews on the UPXNBOR often report about an hour to about four hours, so the bullet is not the only evidence.
Is USB-C enough, or do I need a special charger?
The cable is often included and the wall plug is not. Where the listing says 5 V, use a standard 5 V adapter. The MJ PREMIER glass lamp forbids a fast charger and anything above 5 V. A higher-voltage phone charger is the wrong default even if the plug fits the cable. The AAA lamp does not use this step: it takes two AAA cells.
What colour temperature do I want for a living room?
For an evening room, start at 2500–3000 K. The fuaoddda states 3000 K and the small MJ PREMIER states 2700 K. 4000 K is a neutral white. 6500 K is a daylight step and looks harsh after dark. RGB colours, where a listing offers them, are for effect and do not replace a Kelvin figure for the white light.
Does outdoor on the listing mean rain?
No. Outdoor plus not water resistant, which is how the fuaoddda and the INTELIVE are filed, means you treat the lamp as indoor. A printed IP54 is splash protection, not a lamp you leave in the rain. A review that mentions IP54, on the OUTON or the UPXNBOR, is not the same as a code on the specification row.
Is a 4.9-star lamp the one to buy?
Not from the stars alone. The small MJ PREMIER is 4.9 from 30 reviews, and the file has three positive texts. The glass MJ PREMIER is 4.2 from 1,064, and the INTELIVE is 4.5 from 237. A short, very high line is weaker evidence than a larger file with a slightly lower average. Read what the reviews say failed, not only the first digit.
What is a sensible budget on amazon.co.uk?
In this capture, a specified USB lamp sits around £13 to £23, and the glass decorative lamp is about £35.99. Under £11 you are looking at the Eglo, which does not state a runtime. Trade lamps with a full IP54 data sheet cost more, up to £85 for the dar lighting Munich, and they are a different shop. Match the budget to the line you needed, then check the price on the day, because these figures are the 19 October 2026 listings.
