How to use a cordless paint sprayer

The gun is on the bench, and the search wants to hand you a US viscosity table or an airless tip chart. Those numbers belong to other machines. This is how to use a cordless paint sprayer when the only steps you can trust are the ones these listings print, plus the tin in your hand. Read the tin before the cup

Dulux Decorator Centre’s spray FAQ says you thin only as the datasheet says, and that a stiff paint which will not flow off a stirrer is the one to consider thinning. That is the rule for these guns as well. A 10 percent thin is not a universal setting. One UK review of the ToCzernobgol gun mentioned about 10 percent on a shed. That is one job, not a spec for the other guns. If the tin says brush only, stop. Fence brand bans, including standard Fence Life, sit on the cordless fence paint sprayer page.

The cup and the nozzle in this folder

Use the viscosity cup as that listing’s tool, not as a shared clock. Do not paste a US drain-time table or Einhell’s manual onto these ASINs. Cepolawa claims a maximum of 100 DIN-S. The listing does not convert that figure, so neither should you. Longzhuo’s bullet gives a 3:1 thinning example, and only with suitable coatings. It does not say varnish is approved. Nozzle sets differ. ToCzernobgol and Cepolawa list 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm. Helangel and SenDeluz list 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm. Longzhuo lists 1.0 mm, 1.8 mm and 2.5 mm. Tilswall does not print diameters in the amazon bullets. Lionbow lists nine nozzles and no widths. Start, then spray a card

Tilswall’s note is the clearest start in this folder. Point the nozzle away, half-press the trigger for two seconds, then use a full trigger. Lionbow’s note says keep the bottle upward. Do not soak the handle. Those two instructions are not a script for every ASIN. Spray a piece of card before the panel. Helangel claims a distance of 200–250 mm. No other file here prints a distance, so do not invent one for Tilswall or Longzhuo. If the gun only blows air, stop rather than adding thinner by guesswork. Mask what you do not want painted before the first trigger.

Clean before it sets

Tilswall says clean within 15 minutes. Helangel says immediately. SenDeluz, ToCzernobgol, Cepolawa and Longzhuo give you a brush and a needle and no minute limit, which does not mean the cup can wait until morning. Warm water and a little washing-up liquid suit water-based coatings. Solvent-based coatings need the cleaner that matches the tin. Lionbow is the exception on water: a needle and wet wipes, not a rinse under the tap. Every other gun still needs the brush and needle from the box.

When it spits or only blows air

Reviews on these listings name thick paint, a dirty nozzle, and, on Lionbow, suction that never starts. One Helangel complaint is noise with no paint, including on a water test, so the fault is not always the coating. Do not invent a pressure setting. These files do not print bar. Health and Safety Executive guidance on spraying solvents is about a mask and ventilation, not a mixing ratio. Isocyanate coatings are not a DIY sequence. Common questions

Can I pour emulsion in straight from the tin?
Only if that tin’s datasheet says the product is sprayable without thinning. Dulux Decorator Centre tells you to follow the datasheet, and to consider thinning when the paint will not flow off a stirrer. A US table that says latex needs no thinning is not a rule for these guns. If the tin says brush or roller only, do not force it through the nozzle.
Whose viscosity number do I use?
Use the number that listing prints, and nothing else. Cepolawa claims 100 DIN-S and does not convert it. Longzhuo’s 3:1 example applies to suitable coatings on that bullet. Shop Joe’s 25–40 seconds and Einhell’s drain time belong to those cups. If your listing has a viscosity cup and no seconds, the cup is a comparison tool for that gun, not a published clock.
What does Tilswall mean by a two-second half-trigger?
Point the nozzle away from you and from the work, hold the trigger halfway for two seconds, then press fully. The listing calls that a soft start. It is not a flow-rate setting and it is not printed on the other six guns. After it, spray card before you spray the panel.
How soon do I have to clean?
Tilswall says within 15 minutes. Helangel says immediately. The other listings in this folder do not print a minute limit, and Wagner’s UK line is that sooner is easier. Water-based coatings take warm water and a little detergent. Lionbow’s nozzle is cleaned with a needle and wet wipes, not a rinse under the tap.
May I rinse the Lionbow nozzle under the tap?
No. The Lionbow note says the nozzle is not cleaned with water. Use the needle and wet wipes, keep the bottle upward, and do not soak the handle. Distilled water belongs in the bottle for water-based mixes, which is not the same as washing the tip. The other guns use the brush and needle supplied with them.
Why does the gun spit or blow air?
Spit usually means the mix is too thick or the nozzle is dirty. Air with no paint means the gun is not picking up: a tube off its seat, a Lionbow bottle not kept upward, or a nozzle that will not align for suction. Helangel reviews include noise and no paint even on a water test. There is no pressure dial in these files to turn up.
