Top pick: Oairse 16.5 inch white orchid in glass Best value: Olrla pink orchid in a grey pot – Longest review file under £20, 4.4 from 1,136, with height lines about 2 cm apart, on a different ASIN from the top pick. Updated 21 October 2026.

Peter F.Editor

An artificial orchid on amazon.co.uk is almost always a potted moth orchid, a, with arching stems, broad leaves, blooms and buds, sold so the flowers never fall. People in the UK buy one after a living moth orchid dies, or for a bathroom, office or care setting where watering will not happen. The Royal Horticultural Society says a living needs to stay above about 16°C, in bright filtered light. The height in the bullets should match the specification line, the pot should say ceramic if you need ceramic, and UK reviews should say whether it looks real up close or only from across the room. How to read a size field that disagrees with itself is in the [artificial orchid buying guide](/hub/houseplants/artificial-orchid/sub/artificial-orchid-buying-guide).

An artificial orchid on amazon.co.uk is almost always a potted moth orchid, a, with arching stems, broad leaves, blooms and buds, sold so the flowers never fall.

The best artificial orchids in detail

Oairse 16.5 inch white orchid in glass

Rank 1

Oairse 16.5 inch white orchid in glass

∼£32

Our view

The Oairse is a white orchid in a clear glass vase with moss, stones and acrylic faux water, at £31.99 with 5.0 from 12 reviews. Four written UK reviews are short and positive: attractive, well packed, ferns as well as leaves, and cheaper than other prices that reviewer had seen. Three further reviews in the file are German and also positive. No UK complaint is written, which is not the same as a large test. The bullets say 20 flowers and an overall height of 16.5 inches, with a vase diameter of 5.1 inches and a weighted base. The item weight is 300 g, which sits oddly next to that weighted-base claim. The dimension line is 40 by 19 by 19 cm and does not say which axis is the 16.5 inch height. Branches bend and cannot be taken out. A damp cloth is the care line. At this price you are paying for glass and faux water on a sample of 12 stars.

Pros

  • Glass vase, acrylic faux water, and 20 blooms in the bullets
  • Four UK reviews, all positive, inside a 5.0 from 12
  • Branches bend, and the care line is a damp cloth
  • £31.99, below the ceramic Briful

Cons

  • Only 12 reviews
  • Item weight 300 g sits oddly next to a weighted-base claim
  • 16.5 inches is not pinned to one axis on the 40 by 19 by 19 cm line

Best for: You want a glass centrepiece and you can live with a small review file.

Less suitable: You need hundreds of UK reviews, or a heavy ceramic pot.

Common questions

Is the water real?

The bullets say clear faux acrylic water in a glass vase, with no refills. Included components are a glass pot and artificial water.

Can the branches come out?

The bullets say the branches cannot be taken out, and that they can be bent to a point. Height in the bullets is 16.5 inches, with a 5.1 inch vase diameter.

What do the UK reviews mention?

Four UK reviews call it realistic, well packed, or better value than higher prices the reviewer had seen. One mentions ferns as well as leaves. No UK complaint is written in the file.

GreenBrokers 65 cm white orchid

Rank 2

GreenBrokers 65 cm white orchid

∼£80

Our view

The GreenBrokers is a six-stem white real-touch orchid in a silver ceramic pot, listed at £80.26 in this file with 4.8 from 7 reviews. A public check the same day, 19 October 2026, was about £108.21, so the shelf price moves. Three written reviews are all from the United Kingdom and all positive: realistic, a good size on a table, and worth the money to those buyers. No complaint is written. The bullets say 65 cm and a pot of 20 cm by 13 cm, while the dimension height says 70 cm. Weight is 5 kg, which is the only heavy piece in the set. The flower-count field of 6 sits next to a six-stem title, so you should not treat 6 as a bloom count. Recommended uses include covered outdoor spaces, without a UV certificate in the file. Seven stars and three kind paragraphs are a thin base for the dearest listing here.

Pros

  • Stated ceramic pot and 5 kg, so it sits still on a table
  • 4.8 from 7, with three positive UK texts
  • Six stems and a real-touch claim around 65 cm
  • The only large heavy piece in this set

Cons

  • Seven reviews, and the written sample is three texts
  • Bullets say 65 cm and the table says 70 cm
  • £80.26 in the file, about £108.21 on a same-day public check
  • A flower-count field of 6 is ambiguous next to six stems

Best for: You have a sturdy table for a heavy white orchid and you accept a small review file and a moving price.

Less suitable: A glass bathroom shelf, a fixed budget, or anyone who wants hundreds of reviews at this price.

Common questions

How big is the GreenBrokers orchid?

The bullets say 65 cm, with a pot 20 by 13 cm, and six stems in the title. The dimension line says 33.5 by 33.5 by 70 cm. Item weight is 5 kg.

What is the pot?

The title says a silver ceramic pot. The container material field says ceramic. The flower colour field is white.

What do the written reviews say?

Three UK reviews call it realistic, a good size on a table, and worth the money. None of them describes a fault. The star line is 4.8 from 7.

Briful 17 inch orchid, silver ceramic pot

Rank 3

Briful 17 inch orchid, silver ceramic pot

∼£39

Our view

The Briful is a silk orchid in a silver ceramic pot at £38.99, with 4.6 from 635 reviews, and the first 50 texts in the file are from the United Kingdom. Reviewers say people think the flowers are real, and one husband tried to water it. The ceramic pot is called expensive-looking, and buyers mention bathrooms, fireplaces, conservatories and care-home gifts. The bullets say 17.3 inches (44 cm), with 16 blooms plus buds on three stems, and the dimension height is 43.9 cm, so the height lines nearly agree. Weight is 1.19 kg. The recurring complaint is that it is shorter or fatter than expected, and some returns are for height. One reviewer felt underwhelmed at about £40 for three branches. Another says the pot looks more gold than the silver in the photo. Real-touch wording is in the bullets and the material field says silk and ceramic. It is the strongest combination in this set of a stated ceramic pot and a large UK review file, with the height still smaller than some buyers pictured.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 635 reviews, with UK texts of people trying to water the flowers
  • Ceramic pot stated, about 44 cm, and 1.19 kg
  • Three stems and 16 blooms at £38.99
  • Bullet height and the table height nearly match

Cons

  • Returns because it was shorter than the buyer expected
  • Pot tone called more gold than the silver in the photo
  • About £40 feels dear to buyers who wanted more than three branches

Best for: You want a ceramic table orchid with a long UK review file and you have measured about 44 cm of height.

Less suitable: You need a 65 cm plant, a pink colourway, or a pot under £20.

Common questions

Is the pot ceramic?

Yes. The container material is ceramic, and the bullets describe a silver ceramic pot about 13.5 cm wide and 11.9 cm high.

How tall is it?

The bullets say 17.3 inches, converted as 44 cm, with three stems and 16 blooms. Item weight is 1.19 kg. The dimension line is 44 by 13.5 by 43.9 cm.

Why do some UK buyers return it?

Written UK reviews include returns or disappointment because it was too short, smaller than expected, or the pot looked more gold than silver.

Avoeco 15 inch fuchsia real-touch orchid

Rank 4

Avoeco 15 inch fuchsia real-touch orchid

∼£20

Our view

The Avoeco fuchsia orchid is two wire stems, nine blooms and five buds, at £19.99 with 4.6 from 140 reviews. The bullets say 15.2 inches and the dimension height is 38.6 cm, so the size lines agree more closely than most of this set. The pot is plastic with a terracotta look, 4.7 inches wide, not clay. UK reviews say family thought it was real, and one partner tried to push a moisture sensor into the potting medium. The same UK texts say the petals are more purple than the pictures, and one review on this fuchsia listing describes a white orchid, so the colour file is mixed. The first 50 reviews also include Canada, the United States, France and Germany. A non-UK review in the file reports a broken branch and calls it plastic rather than silk. The material field says polyester and plastic, while the bullets say real-touch silk. It is an indoor listing. One UK review says it spent most of a winter outside and still looked new, which is a single story, not an outdoor rating.

Pros

  • 4.6 from 140 reviews, and 15.2 inches matches a 38.6 cm table height
  • Real-touch wording, wire stems, nine blooms and five buds
  • Terracotta-effect pot at £19.99
  • UK reviews of people treating it as a live plant

Cons

  • Fuchsia photos called more purple by UK reviewers
  • The pot is plastic, not clay
  • The review file mixes countries and at least one other colourway

Best for: You want a mid-height real-touch orchid near £20 and you are happy with a purple-leaning fuchsia.

Less suitable: You need the colour in the photo, a ceramic pot, or a UK-only review file.

Common questions

Is the terracotta pot clay?

The container material field says plastic. The bullets describe a terracotta-effect pot, 4.7 inches wide and 3.9 inches high.

What colour is it?

The colour field says fuchsia. UK reviews say the petals look more purple than the pictures.

How many flowers are there?

The bullets say 2 stems, 9 blooms and 5 buds. The flower-count field says 14. Bullet height is 15.2 inches, and the table height is 38.6 cm.

dallisten 19 inch white silk orchid

Rank 5

dallisten 19 inch white silk orchid

∼£24

Our view

The dallisten 19 inch is the taller white silk Phalaenopsis at £23.99, with the same 4.5 from 26 and the same review texts as the 16 inch. One UK reviewer does name this 19 inch size and says the white silk flowers look realistic in a living room. Other texts in the shared file still say it looks cheap up close, was returned as plasticky, or could have been sturdier. The bullets say 50 cm. The dimension line says 40 by 12 by 12 cm. Weight is 660 g, and the pot material is not stated. Usage says indoor and outdoor with no UV line, on silk. Paying £6 more than the 16 inch does not buy a separate review count. If you order this size, you are trusting one named comment plus a height the table does not confirm.

Pros

  • One UK review names the 19 inch and calls the silk realistic
  • Wired stems and 660 g
  • White silk Phalaenopsis at £23.99

Cons

  • Bullets say 50 cm and the table says 40 by 12 by 12 cm
  • The review count is the same file as the 16 inch
  • Close-up plastic and a return sit in that shared file
  • Outdoor is ticked with no UV line, on silk

Best for: You specifically want the taller dallisten and you have measured the space against both height figures.

Less suitable: You want an independent review file, or a pot material you can read on the page.

Common questions

How tall is the 19 inch dallisten?

The bullets say 50 cm. The dimension line says 40 by 12 by 12 cm. Item weight is 660 g.

Is the review score separate from the 16 inch?

The saved listing has the same 4.5 from 26 and the same review texts as the 16 inch file. One reviewer does name the 19 inch.

Is it sold for outdoors?

The usage field says indoor and outdoor. There is no UV-resistance line. The plant material is silk.

dallisten 16 inch white silk orchid

Rank 6

dallisten 16 inch white silk orchid

∼£18

Our view

The dallisten 16 inch is a white silk Phalaenopsis at £17.99, and the amazon.co.uk line is 4.5 from 26 reviews. Those texts are the same as the 19 inch file, and reviewers name the 19 inch and the 22 inch, so this is not a sample of the 16 inch alone. The bullets say 41 cm. The dimension line says 35 by 11 by 11 cm. That gap is too wide to treat either figure as the height on a shelf. Weight is 620 g, and the pot material is not stated. UK comments in the shared file praise a lifelike look from a few feet away and a pot with some weight, then mark it down as not sturdy, plasticky against the photos, and no better than a discount-shop orchid. One buyer returned it. The usage field says indoor and outdoor, with no UV line, on silk. You are paying £17.99 for a size the page does not agree on, judged by reviews that may belong to a taller plant.

Pros

  • Silk and wired stems at £17.99
  • Shared reviews include a lifelike look from a few feet away
  • 620 g, heavier than the Olrla

Cons

  • Bullets say 41 cm and the table says 35 by 11 by 11 cm
  • The 26 reviews are shared with the 19 inch and mention other sizes
  • Pot material is not stated, and a plasticky look is a return reason

Best for: You already know which dallisten height you are ordering and you will measure the carton.

Less suitable: You want reviews that name this 16 inch size, or a height you can trust before checkout.

Common questions

How tall is the 16 inch dallisten?

The bullets say 41 cm. The dimension line says 35 by 11 by 11 cm. Those two figures do not describe the same height.

Are the reviews only for this size?

The saved listing repeats the same reviews as the 19 inch dallisten, and some reviewers name the 19 inch or the 22 inch.

What is the pot made of?

The specification table does not state a pot material. The included component is a container, and the plant material is silk.

Velibobo orchid, set of 4

Rank 7

Velibobo orchid, set of 4

∼£19

Our view

The Velibobo is a set of four polyurethane orchids at £18.99, rated 4.5 from two United Kingdom reviews. Both texts are positive: pretty and vivid for shelves that cannot take weight, bought because live orchids died within weeks, and thought of for a windowsill, bathroom ledge, desk or coffee table. The same reviewer calls the pots extremely lightweight. The dimension line says 20 by 20 by 20 mm, which cannot describe a 200 g set of four plants, and no bullet gives a height, so you do not know how tall they are. Special features list washable and UV resistant, which is the only UV tag in this comparison, without a test method. The flower-count field says 6 while the pack says 4. Two reviews cannot tell you whether the UV line survives a British summer. You are buying four small pots for light shelves, not a measured plant.

Pros

  • Four plants at £18.99
  • Washable, and the only UV-resistant tag in this set
  • Two UK reviews like them on light shelves
  • Bendable stems

Cons

  • Only two reviews
  • Height printed as 20 mm, which is not usable
  • Pots called extremely light, and the flower count disagrees with the pack of four

Best for: You need several light pots for narrow shelves and you can accept an unknown height.

Less suitable: You need a centimetre height, a heavy base, or more than two opinions.

Common questions

How many orchids are in the box?

Number of items and the bullets say 4. The included-components line says 4 bouquets. The flower-count field says 6.

The bullets say they are washable with water, and special features list washable and UV resistant. The two UK reviews are the whole written sample.

How tall are they?

The dimension line says 20 by 20 by 20 mm, which does not match a 200 g set of four plants. No bullet height is given, so the height is not known from this file.

Olrla pink orchid in a grey pot

Rank 8

Olrla pink orchid in a grey pot

∼£19

Our view

The Olrla pink orchid is one stem with seven heads and five buds in a grey plastic pot, at £18.99 with 4.4 from 1,136 reviews. The first 50 texts in the file are overwhelmingly from the United Kingdom. Reviewers call the PU petals softer than ordinary silk and say visitors thought the flowers were real, including in a bathroom and on a sunny window where a live plant was a poor fit. The same file includes returns for a plastic look, a plant that was very small, and a colour that was not the dark blue the buyer expected. The bullets say 43 cm and the table says 41 cm, which is close enough to plan a shelf, unlike the dallisten clash. At 300 g it is the light listing that UK reviews say falls over in a little wind outdoors. The usage field says indoor, and weather resistant is only a feature tag. The pot field says plastic, while the bullets say melamine. This is the longest review history in the set at a shelf price under £20, and it still splits on whether it looks real up close.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 1,136 reviews, mostly United Kingdom in the opening sample
  • PU petals, seven heads and five buds, about 41 to 43 cm
  • £18.99 with a long record of bathroom and table use
  • Height figures disagree by only about 2 cm

Cons

  • 300 g, and UK reviews say it falls over in a little wind
  • Close-up reviews call it fake, and some buyers return it
  • Usage says indoor; weather tags are not a UV rating

Best for: You want the best-documented pink shelf orchid under £20 and you will keep it indoors.

Less suitable: You need a heavy ceramic pot, or a plant that reviews agree looks real at arm's length.

Common questions

Is the pot ceramic?

No. The container material field says plastic. The bullets call the pot melamine and milky, 11 by 11 cm.

The bullets say 17 inches, which they convert as 43 cm. The dimension line says 10 by 10 by 41 cm. Item weight is 300 g.

The usage field says indoor. A UK review says a light plant falls over in a little wind and is better indoors. Waterproof and weather resistant appear only as feature tags.

Wenhuidr white orchid, marble-effect pot

Rank 9

Wenhuidr white orchid, marble-effect pot

∼£17

Our view

The Wenhuidr is a bendable white orchid in a grey marble-effect plastic pot at £16.99, with 4.4 from 56 reviews and about 30 written texts from the United Kingdom. Reviewers describe people touching the flowers to check they are real, and they use it where living orchids died, including a south-facing conservatory and a sunless porch. The pot is called weighted, with a marble pattern and faux pebbles, and one bathroom-shelf review says the petals wipe clean. The dimension line is 12 by 30 by 12 cm, which does not give a clear overall height, and several buyers still say it is slightly smaller than they expected. The material field says rubber while the bullets say silk. The title says one white pot, but the items field says 2 and the included line mentions hydrangea flowers. One buyer returned it because the flower centre looked fake, and another says the build may not last. The bullets tell you to air it for 48 hours if there is a factory scent.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 56 reviews, with UK texts about close-up checks
  • Marble-effect pot described as weighted, at £16.99
  • Bendable stems and a damp-cloth line
  • UK use on a bathroom shelf and a dining table

Cons

  • 12 by 30 by 12 cm does not give a clear overall height
  • Silk in the bullets, rubber in the field, and a pack-count clash
  • Called smaller than expected, with one return over a fake-looking centre

Best for: You want a wipeable white orchid around £17 and you will ignore the conflicting pack fields.

Less suitable: You need a stated centimetre height, or a pot the listing calls ceramic.

Jonuin 53 cm film orchid, pink

Rank 10

Jonuin 53 cm film orchid, pink

∼£13

Our view

The Jonuin film orchid is a pink-purple plant in an 8 cm white plastic pot, listed at £12.99 with 3.8 from 15 amazon.co.uk reviews. The bullets and the dimension line both say 53 cm, with three stems and 13 blooms, which is a clearer size story than several dearer listings in this set. Seven written reviews are from the United Kingdom. Buyers who kept it mention the shape, a Christmas gift, and flowers fixed into the pot rather than loose in polystyrene. One review calls the quality very poor and would give no stars, without saying what failed. Another calls the white pot very basic and hides it inside a second pot, and a third says it is obviously artificial from close up. The petals are film, sold as softer than silk, and the bullets say a damp cloth is enough. At 610 g it is heavier than the Olrla, though the pot itself is still plain plastic.

Pros

  • Bullet height and the dimension line both say 53 cm
  • Three stems and 13 blooms at £12.99
  • Listing says the film petals wipe with a damp cloth
  • A UK review says the flowers are fixed into the pot

Cons

  • 3.8 from 15 reviews, including one unexplained very poor
  • White plastic pot called basic
  • Looks artificial from close up

Best for: You want a cheap indoor film orchid and you will drop the white pot into a nicer cover.

Less suitable: You want a ceramic pot, or a review file larger than 15 before you spend even £13.

Can you wipe the petals?

The bullets say the film petals are washable and that a damp cloth is enough. The usage field says indoor.

Alyphyly white orchid in a wine glass

Rank 11

Alyphyly white orchid in a wine glass

∼£14

Our view

The Alyphyly is a white plastic orchid in a glass wine-glass vase, listed at £13.99 with dimensions 11 by 15 by 36 cm and a weight of 862 g. The saved listing has no customer-review line and no review text, so there is no star rating to lean on. The bullets say the flowers, leaves and grass are plastic and that the pot is glass, and they list a bathroom and a balcony among the rooms. The usage field still says indoor. A festive scent is printed, which is an odd line on a plant sold as decoration. You cannot tell from this file whether the stems bend, how many blooms there are, or whether anyone in the UK thought it looked real. The glass vase is why it is heavier than several plastic-pot orchids at a similar price. Without a review, a thin flower count would only show up after it arrives.

Pros

  • Glass vase rather than a printed plastic pot
  • 862 g, heavier than the lightest pots in this set
  • Bullets say no daily care
  • £13.99

Cons

  • No rating and no written reviews in the file
  • Bloom count and whether the stems bend are not stated
  • Usage says indoor while the bullets name a balcony

Best for: You want a glass vase at the bottom of this price band and you accept an unreviewed listing.

Less suitable: You need UK reviews, a stated bloom count, or a plant you can judge before it arrives.

Common questions

Is the vase glass?

The container material is glass, and the colour field says wine glass vase, white. The bullets say the flowers and leaves are plastic.

Are there any reviews?

The saved listing has no customer-review line and no review text, so the rating is not stated.

Does it need water?

The bullets say no daily care. They do not give a separate height in a second unit. The dimension line is 11 by 15 by 36 cm.

How we compared

Scores use the eleven amazon.co.uk listings kept in this comparison, the prices and star lines on those pages, and the review notes for the same ASINs. Shelf date 19 October 2026. This is not a laboratory test. A star average is not a realism test, and weather resistant without a UV line is not scored as balcony use. Weights sum to 100. The highest score is the top pick. Best value is the strongest review file under £20 whose height lines nearly agree, on a different ASIN.

1

Amazon evidence

35%

Stars on amazon.co.uk, then a hard deduction when the count is under 30, and none of this block when the file has no rating. A review file copied across the two dallisten sizes is scored once, not as two tests. A 5.0 from fewer than 30 reviews is not a top pick.

2

Listing fit

35%

Height bullets and the dimension line within a few centimetres, a pot material you can read, and a petal word that is not contradicted on the same page. A 20 mm size line, a pack-count clash, or silk versus rubber on one page scores down.

3

Review outcome

20%

UK texts that describe a close look, a watering mistake or a return score higher than three short compliments. A missing review file scores none of this slice.

4

Value

10%

Shelf price in GBP against a height and a pot you can compare. £12.99 does not outrank a ceramic pot with hundreds of reviews on price alone. £80.26 does not outrank that ceramic pot when the sample is seven reviews.

Artificial orchid buying guide

Choose the height and the pot before the star rating. A film orchid in a plastic pot, a silk plant and a ceramic table piece are not the same purchase, and an inch title is not a measured shelf height.

What is an artificial orchid?

An artificial orchid is a potted faux moth orchid, sold so the flowers do not fall. On amazon.co.uk it is almost always a Phalaenopsis shape: arching stems, broad leaves, blooms and buds. People buy one after a living moth orchid dies, or for a bathroom, office or care setting where nobody will water it. The Royal Horticultural Society says a living Phalaenopsis needs to stay above about 16°C, in bright filtered light, in bark compost that is moist but never sat in water.

Best for

  • Households that have lost a living moth orchid and want the look without bark or feed
  • A bathroom, dim landing or sunny conservatory where a live plant scorches or rots

Not ideal for

  • A balcony, unless that listing states UV resistance
  • A glass shelf asked to hold the 5 kg GreenBrokers

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

    Reading only the inch title

Several listings disagree with their own dimension line by more than a few centimetres. If they do, treat the height as unknown. Do not plan a shelf from the title alone.

  2. 2

    Putting silk in the shower

Silk is the material UK care guides tell you to keep away from shower spray. A film or polyurethane petal with a damp-cloth line is the bathroom fit. A feature tag that says weather resistant is not a UV rating.

  3. 3

Treating the dallisten reviews as two tests

The 16 inch and 19 inch files repeat the same 4.5 from 26 and the same texts. Reviewers name other sizes. That is one shared pool, not two awards, and the height lines still clash.

What to weigh up

Height and the specification line

High

The first check is the centimetre height for the shelf or the table. Titles on amazon.co.uk use inches, and several pages in this set disagree with their own dimension line. The dallisten 16 inch bullets say 41 cm and the table says 35 by 11 by 11 cm. The 19 inch bullets say 50 cm and the table says 40 by 12 by 12 cm. Velibobo prints 20 by 20 by 20 mm, which cannot describe a 200 g set of four plants.

Pot, weight and petal material

High

Pot material and item weight decide whether the plant stays upright and whether the finish is what the photo suggests. A terracotta or marble look can be plastic. Avoeco's container field says plastic, with a terracotta effect. Wenhuidr's says plastic, with a grey marble effect that reviewers call weighted, plus faux pebbles. The Olrla field says plastic while the bullets say melamine, and the item weight is 300 g.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

After a live orchid dies

You want the look without bark, feed or a warm east window. The Briful is the top pick: a stated ceramic pot, about 44 cm, 1.19 kg, and 4.6 from 635 reviews, including someone who tried to water the flowers. Measure the height before you order. Returns in that file are for a shorter plant than the photo suggested.

Bathroom or a dim landing

You need a plant where watering will not happen. The Olrla is best value at about £18.99, with PU petals and a long UK file that includes bathroom and sunny-window use. It is 300 g, and reviews say it tips in a little wind. Keep silk out of shower spray.

A heavy table piece

You have a sturdy table and you want a white orchid that sits still. The GreenBrokers states a ceramic pot and 5 kg, with six stems, at £80.26 in the file and 4.8 from 7 reviews. A same-day public check was about £108.21. It is the wrong weight for a glass shelf.

Common questions about artificial orchids

Which artificial orchid is the top pick?
The top pick is the Briful at about £38.99, a silk orchid in a silver ceramic pot, rated 4.6 from 635 amazon.co.uk reviews. It scores 91, the highest in this set: the pot is stated as ceramic, and the height lines nearly agree at about 44 cm. UK reviews include people who tried to water the flowers. Returns cite a shorter plant than expected, or a pot more gold than silver. Best value is the Olrla at about £18.99, with 4.4 from 1,136 reviews.
How much does an artificial orchid cost?
On these eleven amazon.co.uk listings the file prices run from £12.99 to £80.26, read on 19 October 2026. Entry is about £13 to £20, from the Jonuin to the Avoeco. Mid is about £24 to £40: the dallisten 19 inch at £23.99, the Oairse at £31.99 and the Briful at £38.99. GreenBrokers is £80.26 in the file. A public check the same day was about £108.21, so that premium price moves. These are printed shelf figures, not a market average.
What should you check before you buy?
Check height, the petal word and the pot before the star line. If the bullets and the dimension line disagree by more than a few centimetres, treat the height as unknown. Read whether the page says film, silk, polyurethane or real-touch, and whether those words clash. A marble or terracotta look can be plastic. Ceramic is only where the container field says ceramic. Then check that the reviews are about that size. The two dallisten files repeat the same texts.
Is a marble or terracotta pot ceramic?
Not unless the listing says so. Avoeco's container field says plastic, with a terracotta look. Wenhuidr's says plastic, with a grey marble effect. Briful and GreenBrokers state ceramic. The Olrla field says plastic, while the bullets say melamine. A printed stone effect is not a ceramic pot, and it will not weigh what the GreenBrokers does at 5 kg or the Briful at 1.19 kg. Read the container field, not only the photo.
Can you put an artificial orchid in the bathroom?
Most of these listings are indoor. Silk is the material UK care guides tell you to keep away from shower spray. A wipeable film or polyurethane petal is a better fit for steam than silk, and a glass shelf needs a light pot. The Olrla is 300 g, and UK reviews say it tips in a little wind. None of these files is a waterproof rating, and a weather-resistant tag is not a UV line.
Will an artificial orchid survive on a UK balcony?
Only an explicit UV line supports a balcony, and most of this set is indoor. Sun through glass still fades an indoor piece. Velibobo is the only listing here with a UV-resistant tag, and the file gives no test method, on 4.5 from two reviews. Dallisten ticks indoor and outdoor on silk, with no UV line. Weather resistant on the Olrla is a feature tag, and the usage field says indoor. Do not read a balcony into a room list.
How is this different from artificial flowers?
This page is potted moth orchids only. A loose stem is a different product and is not in the table. If you want mixed stems, a bouquet or a wider faux-flower listing rather than one orchid in a pot, start with artificial flowers. Height, a stated ceramic pot and a review file that names this plant still decide an orchid. Stars alone do not, and a 5.0 from fewer than 30 reviews is not a top pick here.

Our verdict

The top pick is the Briful at about £38.99. It scores 91, the highest here, as a silk orchid in a stated silver ceramic pot, rated 4.6 from 635 reviews, with bullets at 44 cm and a table height of 43.9 cm. UK reviews include people treating the flowers as real. Returns in that file are for a shorter plant than expected, and for a pot more gold than silver. Best value is the Olrla at about £18.99, a different ASIN, with 4.4 from 1,136 reviews and height lines about 2 cm apart. It is 300 g, and UK reviews say it falls over in a little wind. Skip the Briful if you need a plant near 65 cm or a pot under £20. Skip the Olrla if you need ceramic, or a look that reviews agree is real at arm's length.
