Which Gardena hose

Updated: 22 October 2026

You already know the brand, and amazon.co.uk is still offering Comfort Flex, HighFLEX, SuperFLEX and Liano Life as if they were one product. Which Gardena hose you take depends on the order of the questions. Measure the walk first, then choose textile or spiral mesh, then read what the carton contains, and only then treat the bar figure as a burst rating. The seven shelf prices, from £17.81 to £79.99, stay on the [Gardena hose comparison](/hub/garden-watering/gardena-hose). This page does not crown a winner. Peter F. read those amazon.co.uk listings on 21 October 2026, with Gardena’s UK hose pages and Ofwat’s water-pressure note. There was no lab test. Start with the metres you will walk

Gardena’s UK hose page sorts gardens into length bands before it sorts families. A balcony or a small garden sits in 10–15 m. A medium garden sits in 20–25 m. A larger plot starts at 30 m. The band is a walk from the outside tap to the furthest bed, plus slack for a reel or a corner. In this set the short hose is the Comfort Flex 13 mm, 10 m, at £17.81. The 15 m Liano Life is £39.98. The 50 m Comfort HighFLEX is £79.99, listed at 6.69 kg. A border thirty metres from the tap stays dry if you buy the 10 m hose because its star line is the strongest here. The 20 m HighFLEX, article 18063-20, needs one extra look. The title, the scope line and a dimension line say 20 m, and a separate item-length field says 200 centimetres. Treat that field as a clash and read the live title. Listed weight and why the bar number comes later are on Gardena hose length and pressure.

Textile Liano or a spiral-mesh Original hose

Gardena splits this shelf into a textile family and an Original spiral-mesh family. Liano Life is the textile one we kept: a PVC inner tube under a woven sheath, printed at 22 bar burst. Gardena’s UK Liano page states 15 years after registration. The lengths here are 15 m, 25 m and 30 m. Gardena also says Liano can be up to 50 percent lighter. That is the manufacturer’s claim. These listing weights do not demonstrate it: the 10 m Comfort Flex lists 1 kg and the 15 m Liano lists 1.8 kg. Comfort Flex in this set is only the 10 m. Its bullets say the hose can be used up to a water pressure of 25 bar, and they state a 20-year guarantee. HighFLEX is the 30 bar step. SuperFLEX is the 35 bar step, and Gardena’s UK Original table gives that family 30 years after registration. The amazon.co.uk lines for HighFLEX and SuperFLEX do not print a warranty year. Power Grip is named on the spiral bullets and is not named on the Liano bullets. The construction choice is Liano Life or a spiral Gardena hose.

These listings are the hose, not the tap connector

Every kept scope line in this set names the hose. The Comfort Flex title says without parts. SuperFLEX reviews say the connector in the photograph was missing from the carton. A UK outside tap is a separate fitting, often a G 3/4 inch thread, and the 13 mm end needs its own hose connector. The 15 m Liano, article 18445-20, is the row that looks like a set and then reads as a hose. Gardena’s UK page for that article number includes connectors and a nozzle, with a 15-year registration warranty. The amazon.co.uk listing prints the same article and the same GTIN, says one hose, adds “package may vary”, and states a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Read the live bullet on the day you order, and keep the set page apart from the hose bullet. The tap piece and a square cut on a crushed end are on how to fit a Gardena hose.

Read 22 to 35 bar as burst, not as your tap

The figures run from 22 bar on Liano Life to 25 bar on Comfort Flex, 30 bar on HighFLEX and 35 bar on SuperFLEX. Gardena’s Original page presents that climb as a burst ladder. Comfort Flex bullets phrase 25 bar as a water pressure the hose can be used up to. The other titles more often say burst. In both wordings the number rates the hose. It sits far above what a household supply is required to deliver. Ofwat states a minimum of 0.7 bar in the communication pipe, described as seven metres of static head. A higher bar number can matter if you want the top of Gardena’s ladder, or the registered warranty printed beside it. It does not tell you that the outside tap runs at that pressure, and it does not add metres to a hose that stops at the patio. Some retailer grids print Liano near 35 bar. Gardena’s UK Liano page says 22 bar for Liano Life. Use 22.

Common questions

Should I buy Comfort Flex, HighFLEX or SuperFLEX?
Comfort Flex in this set is the 10 m hose at £17.81, with 25 bar in the bullets and a 20-year line. HighFLEX is the 20 m at £57.88 and the 50 m at £79.99, both at 30 bar on the title, with no warranty year on the listing. SuperFLEX is the 30 m at £69.99 and 35 bar, and stored UK reviews still mention kinks. Choose the length first. The family name follows the metres you will actually walk.
When is Liano Life the better fork?
Liano Life is the better fork when you will coil the hose by hand and you accept a 22 bar burst rating. The lengths here are 15 m, 25 m and 30 m, from £39.98 to £55.76. Gardena’s “up to 50 percent lighter” line is their claim, and these listing weights do not demonstrate it. Power Grip is not stated on the Liano bullets. If you want the 30 or 35 bar step, stay with HighFLEX or SuperFLEX.
Are connectors in the box on these listings?
The scope line on each of these seven listings is the hose. The 10 m title says without parts. SuperFLEX reviews say the connector shown in the photo was absent. The 15 m Liano title says the package may vary, while the included line still names the hose. Budget for a tap connector and a 13 mm hose connector before watering day.
Does a higher bar number mean a better hose on a normal UK tap?
A higher bar number is a higher place on Gardena’s burst ladder, from 22 bar on Liano Life to 35 bar on SuperFLEX. Ofwat’s minimum in the communication pipe is 0.7 bar. The outside tap is not supplying 35 bar because the title prints that figure. The higher mark can sit beside a longer registered warranty on Gardena’s site. It still leaves a short hose short.
Does the 4.7-star Comfort Flex mean it is the one to buy?
The 10 m Comfort Flex is 4.7 from 5,318 amazon.co.uk reviews, the strongest rating in this set, at £17.81. That line is a star score, and our table uses it as a rating score. It describes a 10 m hose. A garden that needs 20 m or more is outside the reach of that listing, however many people were pleased with the short coil.
