Keter garden shed buying guide

Updated: 22 October 2026

You already want a Keter resin shed, and you are working out whether a mower, the bins, or both will fit. A 6 × 4 or 4 × 6 label on amazon.co.uk is a shop name, not the floor you can use. This guide checks the body, the centimetres printed in two places, then the lock and the review count before you trust a star line. We looked at five amazon.co.uk listings on 19 October 2026, priced from £137.99 to £639.29, and did not lab-test them. A qualifying purchase can earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. The rows are on the [Keter garden shed comparison](/hub/garden-supplies/keter-garden-shed).

What you are actually buying

The set is three bodies, not five sizes of the same shed. The Store-It-Out Nova (B08XQVQPQ5, £137.99) is a horizontal resin box, 122 × 61 × 108.8 cm inside. You load it from the front, and you cannot stand inside. Shelves are not included, and the 5 year line on the title belongs to this store alone. The page calls it water resistant, which is an untested claim. The walk-ins are the DWA 4 × 3 (£250), the Manor Pent (£550) and the Manor 4 × 6 (£639.29). Each has a plastic floor plus a hasp or a lockable door, and each still needs a second person for the roof. The bundle (B0C7VHWYKL, £334.01) is a 4 × 3 plus a 270 litre box, so the extra money buys a second container, not a larger room. If a wheelie bin does not clear the Nova’s interior and the front lip, the cheaper store is the wrong body.

Read the centimetres, not the feet

A foot label is a marketing size, and the usable floor shrinks once the walls and the door take their share. The Manor Pent is sold as 6 × 4, with a bullet interior of 169 × 97 × 169 cm. Six feet is about 183 cm, so the interior is already shorter than the name, and 97 cm will not take a mower and a person side by side. Keter’s separate Manor 6 × 5 is not an ASIN in this set. Two listings print blocks that disagree. On the 4 × 3, the bullets say 94 × 128 × 196 cm and the item block says 198 × 104 × 121 cm. On the 4 × 6, the title says 130 × 192 × 198 cm and the item block says 192 × 192 × 198 cm, so the 130 cm side disappears. If two blocks disagree, do not average them, because the average is a floor neither block printed. Who should skip which listing is on best Keter garden shed.

Lock, floor and reviews

A hasp is a place for a lock, not the lock itself. None of the five listings includes a padlock, and a Pent reviewer notes that the latch screws can be reached from outside. Buy the padlock before delivery day, and fit it before you leave a bike or tools inside. The floor panel is not the foundation. Walk-in bullets include a plastic floor, and Keter’s UK notes still ask for a flat wooden or concrete base. The Nova page says a foundation is not required, and anchor screws are not in these kits. How the base sits against a fence, and how height is counted, is on Keter shed base and planning. Read the stars only after the size is settled. “880 kilograms” copies the Nova’s 880 litre volume, and “71 grams” on the bundle page is not a load rating.

What this guide will not decide

Screw order and a roof that will not sit are assembly, not a buying criterion. If the carton is already on the lawn, use how to assemble a Keter shed. Boundary distances stay on the base page. Warranty years do not travel with the brand. The Nova title says 5 years, a Darwin page states 15 years, and Keter’s UK sheds index describes a limited 10 year warranty for the Manor collection.

Common questions

Is the Store-It-Out Nova a shed you can stand in?
No. The Nova is a horizontal 880 litre store, 122 × 61 × 108.8 cm inside, and you load it from the front. Standing beside a mower needs a walk-in. The 880 kilograms line is the litre figure with the wrong unit.
What does 6 × 4 mean on the Manor Pent?
It is the shop label, not the floor. The Pent bullets give an interior of 169 × 97 × 169 cm, shorter than six feet and too narrow for a mower beside you. Check those centimetres against the object you own. Keter’s Manor 6 × 5 is a different shed and is not this listing.
Why does the 4 × 3 page show two different sizes?
The DWA 4 × 3 prints 94 × 128 × 196 cm in the bullets and 198 × 104 × 121 cm in the item block. The 4 × 6 title’s 130 cm side is missing from an item block of 192 × 192 × 198 cm. Do not average the two sets.
Is a padlock in the box?
No padlock is listed on any of the five. You get a hasp or a lockable door, and you supply the lock. A Pent reviewer says the latch screws are reachable from outside, so the door hardware is not a finished lock. Buy the padlock before the shed arrives, and fit it before you store anything you would mind losing.
Which listing has enough UK reviews to read?
The Nova is 4.4 from 15,025 reviews, and the Pent is 4.4 from 1,230. The 4 × 6 has 93 reviews, in Italian and French, so that text is not UK experience. The 4 × 3 has 8 and the bundle has 3.
