Mobile garden seat comparison 2026

The best mobile garden seats, compared.

Top pick: Relaxdays trolley, green Best value: Cycayit castor stool – About £49.99 with 4.0 from 31 reviews, four swivel castors, and a stated tray. Updated October 2026.

A mobile garden seat is a low work stool on wheels for weeding, planting, or a similar job near the ground. In the UK you also look for a rolling garden seat, a garden trolley seat, or a garden scooter. You buy one so you can sit while you work a border, pots, or a path, instead of kneeling for the whole job. A fold-flat kneeler is a different product. You tell one layout from another by counting the wheels and reading whether they swivel or only run straight. Separate the seat height from the overall height of a handle. A seat that is easy to stand up from can be too high to reach the soil. Castors, two wheels, pneumatic tyres, and fixed wheels meet a lawn, a path, and a hard floor in different ways. Those differences are set out in [wheels and ground for a mobile garden seat](/hub/garden-furniture/mobile-garden-seat/sub/mobile-garden-seat-wheels-and-ground). A stated load is the seller’s figure, not a BS EN 581 seating test. Silence on a brake is not a brake.

The best mobile garden seats in detail

Relaxdays trolley, green

Rank 1

Relaxdays trolley, green

∼£99

Our view

The larger green Relaxdays trolley, model 10052741_53, is listed at £98.90 with a backrest, a cushion, a handlebar, a basket, pockets, and four pneumatic tyres, at about 14.8 kg. The star line is 4.5 from two reviews, and both captured texts are tagged Germany and also appear on the black sibling. Seat height is described as adjustable and no centimetre range is given. A Germany-tagged review says no tool is supplied and open-ended spanners are assumed. Stated load is about 150 kg. No brake is stated. Open this row when you want a backrest and a basket in the Relaxdays range, and treat 4.5 as a two-review line rather than a UK verdict.

Pros

  • Backrest and cushion, plus a handlebar
  • Basket, pockets, and an under-seat compartment
  • Four pneumatic tyres
  • Stated load about 150 kg

Cons

  • 4.5 from two reviews, both tagged Germany and shared with the black model
  • No seat-height range
  • Review says open-ended spanners are not supplied
  • No brake stated, and about 14.8 kg

Best for: You want the green backrest trolley and you can supply your own spanners.

Less suitable: You need a quoted seat height or a review sample larger than two texts.

Common questions

What is the seat height?

The listing says the seat height is adjustable and does not give a centimetre range.

Are tools in the box?

The listing does not say. A Germany-tagged review says no tool is supplied and open-ended spanners are assumed.

How many reviews are behind 4.5?

The star line says 2. Both captured texts are tagged Germany, and they match the black sibling.

Relaxdays trolley, black

Rank 2

Relaxdays trolley, black

∼£99

Our view

The black Relaxdays trolley, model 10052741_46, copies the green layout at £98.90: backrest, cushion, handlebar, basket, and four pneumatic tyres. The same two Germany-tagged texts sit behind the 4.5 line, so the black page is not a separate test. The material field says 100% rubber, while the bullets describe a steel frame, powder coating, pneumatic tyres, and a cushion. Item weight is 14.2 kg and the overall size is 110 × 46 × 86 cm, with no seat-height range. No brake is stated. The shared review says spanners are not in the box. Pick black for the colour after you have accepted a two-review sample and a missing height figure.

Pros

  • Black backrest trolley with basket and handlebar
  • Four pneumatic tyres and a cushion
  • Stated load about 150 kg
  • Same storage layout as the green 10052741

Cons

  • Same two Germany-tagged reviews as the green trolley
  • Material field says 100% rubber against steel-frame bullets
  • No seat-height range and no brake
  • Spanners not supplied, according to the shared review

Best for: You want the black 10052741 finish and you already know the green page’s limits.

Less suitable: You read 100% rubber as the whole trolley, or you need more than two reviews.

Common questions

Is the trolley 100% rubber?

That is the material field. The bullets describe a steel frame, powder coating, pneumatic tyres, and a cushion.

Are the reviews separate from the green model?

The two captured texts match B0GS74DFW9 and are tagged Germany.

Is a brake stated?

No.

Suntee fixed-wheel scooter

Rank 3

Suntee fixed-wheel scooter

∼£138

Our view

Suntee’s Garden Seat-A01 is listed at £137.72, the highest price in this set, with fixed solid wheels, a 360° seat and lock, a backrest, a basket, and a tool pouch. The amazon.co.uk line is 4.4 from 136 reviews, which is the largest sample here, though the 50 written texts in the file are tagged United States. Those notes say turning is hard because the wheels do not swivel, and the bullets say that fixed direction is intentional. One US-tagged review says the seat was too high to weed and was not adjustable, and the capture gives no seat-height range. The stated load is 400 lb, which is the seller’s figure rather than a BS EN 581 result, and no brake is stated. It is the top pick when you want that feature list and that review count, and you should leave it if you need a centimetre height or wheels that steer.

Pros

  • 4.4 from 136 amazon.co.uk reviews, the largest sample here
  • Swivel seat with a lock, plus a backrest
  • Basket and tool pouch on the listing
  • Solid wheels, so there is no tube to pump

Cons

  • £137.72, the dearest row in this comparison
  • Written reviews in the file are tagged United States
  • No seat-height range, and one US note says it sat too high to weed
  • Fixed wheels, so the seat swivels and the trolley does not

Best for: You want a backrest, a lock, and a basket, and you can work on ground where fixed solid wheels roll in a straight line.

Less suitable: You need a stated seat height in centimetres, or you need the wheels themselves to steer between pots.

Common questions

Do the wheels swivel?

The bullets say the wheels are fixed-direction on purpose and the seat swivels 360° with a lock.

Can the seat height be changed?

No seat-height range is in the capture. The handle is described as angle-adjustable. One US-tagged review says the seat was too high to weed and was not adjustable.

Where were the written reviews tagged?

The 50 texts in the file are tagged United States. The amazon.co.uk star line is 4.4 from 136.

Cycayit castor stool

Rank 4

Cycayit castor stool

∼£50

Our view

The Cycayit stool is listed at £49.99 with four swivel castors, a tray under the seat, and a seat-height bullet of 51–61 cm. Across 31 amazon.co.uk reviews the line is 4.0. A UK review in the capture says it should have a brake, and the listing never states one. The seat-height attribute also says 16 inches, which does not match the centimetre bullet, so measure it before you trust either figure. Comments in the file describe the castors as happier on a hard floor than on a lawn. The assembly text says tools and hardware are included, while the included-components field says no. It is the best value here for paving or a garage floor if you can stand up from a brakeless stool.

Pros

  • £49.99 with four swivel castors and a tray
  • 4.0 from 31 amazon.co.uk reviews
  • Stated load 150 kg in the bullet
  • Tools and hardware mentioned in the assembly text

Cons

  • Seat height is 51–61 cm in the bullet and 16 inches in the attribute
  • No brake is stated, and a UK review asks for one
  • Castors are a poor match for soft lawn
  • Included-components field says no, against the tools sentence

Best for: Patio, path, or garage work where you want a light castor stool and a tray at this price.

Less suitable: Soft lawn, a slope, or anyone who needs a brake to stand up safely.

Relaxdays rolling seat, green

Rank 5

Relaxdays rolling seat, green

∼£82

Our view

The green Relaxdays rolling seat, model 10050009_53, is listed at £81.90 with four air-filled tyres and a seat-height bullet of about 40–49 cm, set by rotating the seat. The star line is 3.8 from 11 reviews, and the two captured texts match the black sibling, so this is one sample shown twice. A UK review says it only moves from side to side. Stated load is 150 kg, with a storage compartment and assembly materials included. No brake is stated, and the backrest field is blank. The frame is listed as alloy steel with a polypropylene seat. Buy the green shell for the colour, and do not add these 11 reviews on top of the black listing as if more people had tried it.

Pros

  • Seat height about 40–49 cm by rotating the seat
  • Four air-filled tyres and a storage compartment
  • Stated load 150 kg
  • Assembly materials included

Cons

  • Star line is shared with the black 10050009
  • UK review: movement is side to side only
  • No brake stated and no backrest listed
  • £81.90 for an 11-review sample

Best for: You want this green pneumatic seat and you already accept straight-line rolling.

Less suitable: You need a separate review sample, a backrest, or wheels that steer.

Relaxdays rolling seat, black

Rank 6

Relaxdays rolling seat, black

∼£82

Our view

This is the black Relaxdays model 10050009_46, listed at the same £81.90 as the green seat and the same 3.8 from 11. The captured review texts match the green ASIN, so you are not reading a second group of owners. The seat field says polyester and another field says nylon, while the green file says polypropylene, so the colour is the clear difference and the material words are messy. Item weight is 11.3 kg, with a size around 81 × 42 × 54 cm. Seat height is the same about 40–49 cm by rotating, and the shared UK review limits movement to side to side. No brake is stated. Choose black for the finish once you have accepted that limit.

Pros

  • Black finish of the 10050009 pneumatic seat
  • Same 40–49 cm rotating height bullet as the green file
  • Storage compartment and 150 kg stated load
  • Assembly materials included

Cons

  • Reviews are the same two texts as the green ASIN
  • Polyester, nylon, and the green file’s polypropylene do not agree
  • Side-to-side movement in the UK review
  • No brake stated

Best for: You prefer the black 10050009 and you have already read the shared steering note.

Less suitable: You wanted a second, independent set of UK reviews, or a steering bar.

Do the reviews differ?

The two captured texts and the star line match the green ASIN. It is not a separate UK sample.

Relaxdays compact scooter

Rank 7

Relaxdays compact scooter

∼£74

Our view

Relaxdays model 10033040 is a compact seat with four pneumatic wheels, captured at £73.90, with 3.7 from 73 reviews. The title says 48–56 cm and the bullet says seat height about 42.5–50 cm, which is the same split the maker’s UK page uses for overall height and seat height. Reviews in the capture say the wheels do not steer. A Germany-tagged review says it rolls when you stand up, and no brake is stated. Storage is a compartment under the seat, and the stated load is 150 kg. The assembly field says no, yet the same capture includes parts and instructions that may not be in English. It is the pneumatic row with the deepest star line if you can work in a straight roll.

Pros

  • Four pneumatic wheels at £73.90
  • 3.7 from 73 reviews, the largest pneumatic sample here
  • Under-seat compartment
  • Seat-height bullet of about 42.5–50 cm, separate from the title

Cons

  • Title height and seat-height bullet are different numbers
  • Reviews say the wheels do not steer
  • No brake, and a Germany-tagged review says it rolls as you stand
  • Instructions may not be in English

Best for: A border or shed path where air-filled tyres matter more than turning while you sit.

Less suitable: Tight gaps between pots, or a slope where a brakeless seat can roll.

Lwuey two-wheel seat

Rank 8

Lwuey two-wheel seat

∼£39

Our view

Lwuey’s seat is the lowest price in this set at £39.00, and the title says two wheels plus a 360° swivel. The amazon.co.uk line is 3.6 from 14 reviews. A UK review calls it very low and very unstable, which sits next to awkward height fields: seat height 35 cm and overall height 25 cm. Another UK note says the photos seemed to show four wheels, so the title and the pictures do not agree. A bullet says it folds and that there is back support, with 136 kg in the attribute and 300 lb in a bullet. No brake is stated, and the item weight is 3.4 kg. Treat it as a cheap low seat only after you have checked the live wheel count.

Pros

  • £39.00, the lowest price in this comparison
  • Back support listed in the bullet
  • Folds, according to the listing
  • Light at 3.4 kg

Cons

  • UK review: very low and very unstable
  • Title says two wheels; a UK review questions the photos
  • Seat height 35 cm and overall height 25 cm do not tell one clear story
  • No brake stated, and only 14 reviews

Best for: A light, low seat for flat hard ground after you have confirmed how many wheels are on the live page.

Less suitable: Uneven grass, anyone who found low stools hard to rise from, or a listing you need to trust from the photos alone.

Relaxdays seat with steering bar

Rank 9

Relaxdays seat with steering bar

∼£82

Our view

Relaxdays model 10050010_46 adds a steering bar to a four-tyre pneumatic seat, listed at £81.90 and 13.6 kg. The star line is 3.5 from seven reviews. The only captured text is tagged Sweden and says the tyres do not hold air, which is the ordinary risk of a tube rather than a solid tyre. Seat height is about 40–49 cm by rotating the seat, with one shelf and a tool holder named in the bullet. No brake is stated and no backrest is listed. It is a different model from the 10050009 pair, which is why the bar matters if you need to point the trolley. The thin sample is why it does not outrank the compact 10033040 on review depth.

Pros

  • Steering bar named in the bullet
  • Four pneumatic tyres, shelf, and a tool holder
  • Seat height about 40–49 cm
  • Different model from the 10050009 colour pair

Cons

  • 3.5 from only seven reviews
  • Sweden-tagged text says the tyres do not hold air
  • No brake and no backrest stated
  • 13.6 kg to carry to the shed

Best for: You want a stated steering bar on a pneumatic seat and you can pump a tube.

Less suitable: You need a large UK review sample, or a backrest at this price.

No. This model is 10050010_46, 13.6 kg, and the bullet names a steering bar.

How we compared

Shelf prices, star ratings and review counts are the amazon.co.uk lines for the nine mobile garden seats in this comparison. There is no lab test, and no BS EN 581 pass is assumed. A stated load stays in the seller’s units. Stars are scored out of 30, the review sample out of 25, layout and clarity out of 25, and price against what is stated out of 20. No brake is stated on any row, so that gap is described in the text rather than deducted again on every score. A two-review line, or a star line copied onto a colour sibling, cannot outrank a larger sample.

1

Stars

30%

The amazon.co.uk star rating divided by 5, then multiplied by 30. A 4.4 line scores higher on this block than a 3.6 line. The star line is not a safety test.

2

Review sample

25%

Up to 25 points from the review count, with deductions for a tiny sample, texts shared with a colour sibling, or a written sample tagged outside the UK.

3

Layout and clarity

25%

Wheel story, whether a seat height is actually stated, a backrest, and storage. Points come off when two height lines disagree, or when the title and a review disagree on the wheel count.

4

Price against what is stated

20%

What the listing adds at that GBP price. A low price does not offset a UK note that the seat is unstable, and it does not buy a brake that the listing never states.

Mobile garden seat buying guide

Decide the ground first, then separate seat height from the height of the handle, and read whether a brake is actually stated. A seller load is not BS EN 581-2, and a star rating is not a UK sample when the written texts are tagged in another country. Prices below are the amazon.co.uk lines in this file.

What is a mobile garden seat?

A mobile garden seat is a low work stool on wheels for weeding, planting, or a similar job near the ground. In the UK the same search turns up a rolling garden seat, a garden trolley seat, or a garden scooter. A fold-flat kneeler is a different product. You are choosing a seat you can move beside a border, a pot, or a path, and then stand up from. The first check is the ground and the wheels.

Best for

  • Border and pot work on firm ground, where you can read the seat height and the wheel layout
  • A garage or a straight shed path, if you accept castors on a hard floor or pneumatic tyres that do not steer

Not ideal for

  • A slope, or anyone who needs a brake in order to stand up
  • A gardener who cannot rise without help, or who has been told to stay off the ground

Mistakes to avoid

  1. 1

Reading overall height as seat height

A title can print the overall height while the bullet prints a lower seat height. A seat that is easy to stand up from can be too high to weed.

  2. 2

    Trusting a four-wheel photo

A title that says two wheels can sit beside photos that look like four. Count the wheels on the live listing before you treat the picture as the spec.

  3. 3

    Treating pneumatic tyres as puncture-proof

Air-filled tyres can lose pressure. A thin review sample tagged outside the UK is not a British verdict, and steel left outside still needs a dry store.

What to weigh up

Ground and wheels

High

Count the wheels and read whether they swivel or only run straight. The Cycayit castor stool has four swivel castors. Comments describe them as happier on a hard floor than on a lawn, and a UK review asks for a brake the listing does not state. The Lwuey title says two wheels. A UK review calls that seat very low and very unstable, and another UK note says the photos seemed to show four. Relaxdays pneumatic seats use four air-filled tyres.

Height, rising and stated load

High

Separate seat height from overall height. Relaxdays model 10033040 is titled 48–56 cm, and the bullet says seat height about 42.5–50 cm. The maker’s UK page for that model splits the two figures the same way. The 10050009 and 10050010 bullets say about 40–49 cm, set by rotating the seat. Cycayit’s bullet says 51–61 cm and the attribute says 16 inches. Lwuey’s seat-height field says 35 cm and the overall height field says 25 cm.

Which option suits you?

Three typical situations, each with a recommendation from this comparison.

Borders and pots on firm ground

You are working pots or a border on paving or another firm surface, and you want a tray plus a seat height you can read. The Cycayit castor stool states 51–61 cm in the bullet, has four swivel castors, and is listed at about £49.99. The attribute also says 16 inches, no brake is stated, and the castors are a hard-floor layout.

A back while you work

You want a back to lean on, and you still need to be sure you can stand. The Suntee fixed-wheel scooter has a backrest, a seat lock, a basket, and the largest review line here, 4.4 from 136. The seat height is not stated, the written texts in the file are tagged United States, and no brake is stated. If you cannot rise without help, this stool is not the answer.

A shed path or garage

A hard floor suits castors, and a shed path is where pneumatic tyres earn their keep. The Relaxdays compact scooter has four pneumatic wheels, an under-seat compartment, and 3.7 from 73 reviews, at about £73.90. Reviews say the wheels do not steer, and the title height is not the seat height.

Common questions about mobile garden seats

Which mobile garden seat is the top pick in this set?
The top pick in this set is the Suntee fixed-wheel scooter. It has the highest score, 76, from 4.4 and 136 amazon.co.uk reviews, plus a backrest, a seat lock, a basket and a tool pouch, at about £137.72. The wheels are fixed and solid. The 50 written texts saved with the listing are tagged United States, and no seat-height range is given. The mark is this grid only, not a lab test, and no brake is stated.
Which listing is the best value?
Best value is the Cycayit castor stool at about £49.99, with 4.0 from 31 amazon.co.uk reviews, four swivel castors and a tray. The seat-height bullet says 51–61 cm and the attribute says 16 inches, so those lines do not match. No brake is stated, and a UK review asks for one. Comments describe the castors as happier on a hard floor than on a lawn. The mark is the price against what the listing states. It is not a claim that the stool is safe on a slope.
How much does a mobile garden seat cost on amazon.co.uk?
These are the amazon.co.uk shelf prices saved for this comparison, not a UK-wide price index. The entry rows are about £39.00 and about £49.99. The pneumatic seats sit at about £73.90 and about £81.90. The upper rows in this file are about £98.90 and about £137.72. A higher price here buys a backrest, a basket or a stated seat lock. It does not buy a stated brake or a standards report.
What should you check before you buy a mobile garden seat?
Count the wheels and read whether they swivel or only run straight. Separate the seat height from the overall height of a handle, because a seat that is easy to stand up from can be too high to weed. Keep a stated load in the seller’s units, whether that line says 136 kg, 150 kg or 400 lb. Silence on a brake is not a brake. Read the star line with the review count, and do not add a colour sibling’s shared texts on top of the first sample.
Is a stated load the same as a BS EN 581 test?
No. A stated load is the seller’s figure. BS EN 581-2:2026 bases seating tests on users up to 110 kg and does not cover wheel durability, height-adjuster durability or weathering. BS EN 581-1:2017 is about edges you can touch, not castors or height adjusters. On 8 October 2026 GOV.UK removed EN 581-1:2006 from the published presumption list. None of these listings cites those standards. A kilogram or a pound line on the page is not that test.
Do these mobile garden seats have a brake?
No brake is stated on any of the nine listings. A UK review of the Cycayit stool says it should have one. A Germany-tagged review of the Relaxdays compact scooter says the seat rolls when you stand up. Silence is not a brake. Do not treat a brakeless stool as safe on a slope, and do not tow a seat while someone is sitting on it. Those warnings are printed on other makers’ UK manuals, not on these nine listings.
How do you tell seat height from overall height?
Read the seat-height line separately from the title and from the overall height. On Relaxdays model 10033040 the title says 48–56 cm and the bullet says seat height about 42.5–50 cm. The maker’s UK page for that model splits overall height and seat height the same way. Other rows print about 40–49 cm, 51–61 cm beside a 16 inch attribute, or 35 cm beside an overall height of 25 cm. Two larger trolleys say the seat is adjustable and give no centimetre range.
What if the seat arrives faulty, or you cannot get up from it?
A split tube, a bent frame or a post that will not lock is a fault, not a comfort quibble. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives 30 days to reject faulty goods. A firmer seat than you hoped is not that fault unless padding was promised. If you cannot rise without help, or a clinician has said to stay off the ground, get advice rather than forcing a low stool. A garden bench comparison is a patio seat for two people, not a weeding stool.

Our verdict

The Suntee fixed-wheel scooter is the top pick. It has the highest score, 76, at about £137.72, with 4.4 from 136 amazon.co.uk reviews, a backrest, a seat lock, and a basket. Best value is the Cycayit castor stool at about £49.99, with 4.0 from 31 reviews, four swivel castors, and a tray. Neither mark is a laboratory result. No listing states a brake, and none cites BS EN 581.
