Wooden garden swing buying guide

Updated: 22 October 2026

The amazon.co.uk title already says wooden, sometimes two-seater, sometimes outdoor, and the price in this set sits between £19.99 and £266.66. What decides the purchase is the job the box does, the species line, and both load figures when the page prints two. This wooden garden swing buying guide walks those checks in that order. The [wooden garden swing comparison](/hub/garden-furniture/garden-swing-wood) holds the nine listings. Peter F. read the saved lines on 22 October 2026. This is not a lab test. Seat, bench, or frame

From £19.99 to £47.49 the kept rows are hanging seats: KINSPORY, Pellor, Favuit, and AnExer. None includes a frame. The wider Favuit at £68.85 still has a seat field of 1. Furinno at £145.83 states two seats and names metal chains. SAM at £221.07 is about 120 cm wide, with one load of 120 kg. Both need a joist. The TP Forest Acorn is £159.99 and the seat is not included. MDDKOP at £266.66 claims an A-frame and prints no assembled width.

Species and what the box actually lists

Wooden is not a species. KINSPORY has no timber name. Both Favuit listings say wood and stop. AnExer’s field says oak and wood, and the inch title does not match 44 × 28 × 3 cm. MDDKOP says solid wood and stops. Keep the exact words where a species is printed. Pellor’s bullet says sustainable beech. The material field says beech, pine. SAM names teak, with the brand field junado. Furinno names dark red meranti treated with teak oil, so teak oil is the finish. FSC on the TP frame means certified pine or spruce. It does not put a seat in the carton. Pellor lists rope of 150–210 cm and two buckles. SAM does not name ropes or chains. Budget a missing part before you compare the price with a complete set.

When two load lines disagree

Pellor’s 220 lb and 100 kg are one claim. AnExer’s 441 lb and 200 kg are the same pattern. They are still listing claims. None of the nine extracts cites EN 71-8, so a printed kilogram is not a certificate. Furinno’s bullet says 156 kg and the field says 220 pounds, about 100 kg. Those are different claims. Keep both. The 66 cm Favuit field says 550 pounds, the bullet says 550 lb (250 kg), and the part number is SMQQ01-330lbs. A size bullet still says 56 × 25 cm while the field says 66 × 30.5 × 5 cm. KINSPORY has no weight limit. A missing number is not a high number. TP prints 60 kg, with a five-year rot bullet and a one-year parts field.

Stars that do not belong to one size

KINSPORY’s 4.5 from 1,142 names neither timber nor load. United Kingdom reviews describe splits and outdoor break-up within a year. The two Favuit ASINs both show 4.4 from 71, with matching openings and a seat field of 1. Pellor’s 4.3 from 596 includes a UK rot update after three months. AnExer’s 4.5 from 42 includes a rope that failed at the holes in about two weeks. SAM’s 3.8 from 44 has no United Kingdom header. MDDKOP has no review line. Which listing fits is the best wooden garden swing page. How you attach a seat is how to hang a wooden garden swing. Whether you need a branch or the empty TP frame is tree swing or wooden swing frame.

Common questions

Is a wooden garden swing a seat, a bench, or a frame?
In this set it is one of those three. KINSPORY, Pellor, AnExer, and both Favuit rows are hanging seats. Furinno and SAM are two-seat benches. The TP Forest Acorn at £159.99 is a frame, and the seat is not in the box. MDDKOP’s title claims an A-frame and prints no assembled size. Match the box line before you compare stars.
The bullet says 156 kg and the field says 220 pounds. Which line do I use?
You keep both. On the Furinno Tioman, 156 kg and 220 pounds are different claims, because 220 pounds is about 100 kg. Pellor and AnExer are different: their pound and kilogram lines match. A matching pair is still a listing claim, not a certificate. None of these extracts cites EN 71-8.
Does teak oil mean the bench is teak?
On the Furinno listing, the timber named is meranti. A bullet says dark red meranti treated with teak oil, so teak oil is the finish on that page. The SAM bench is the row that names teak in the title and in a bullet. The brand field on that ASIN is junado and the manufacturer is SAM. Oil on one bench does not rename the species on the other.
The TP frame is £159.99. Is the seat in the box?
The amazon bullet says the TP New Forest Acorn is supplied without a seat, and included components list the frame only. You still need a compatible seat. The listing load is 60 kg and the age line is 6 months to 8 years. The five-year rot bullet and the one-year parts field are both printed. They are two lines on one listing, not one guarantee you can merge.
Why do two Favuit seats share 4.4 from 71?
The review openings on the 56 cm ASIN match the 66 cm ASIN. The star line is not a separate sample for each width. The 66 cm field is 66 × 30.5 × 5 cm, while a bullet still says 56 × 25 cm. A two-seater review title does not change the seat field, which says 1 on both.
What should I check before I hang anything?
You need a support that can take a moving load, a species line you can read, and every load figure the page prints. Plasterboard and a plant pergola are not that support until someone qualified says so. RoSPA’s home sheet asks for at least 200 mm of ground clearance and ropes that are not crossed.
