Best mini chainsaw

Updated: 22 October 2026

“Best mini chainsaw” means two different things on a UK screen, and they do not share a score. One is a magazine test of a Stihl or a Husqvarna. The other is an amazon.co.uk star line that may be shared with a second ASIN. This page says who the top pick and the best value in the twelve-listing [mini chainsaw comparison](/hub/forestry-tools/mini-chainsaw) are for, and who should skip them. Peter F. compared those listings on 21 October 2026 and did not run a lab test. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Two kinds of best

A star sort answers one question: which of these twelve amazon.co.uk lines is highest, and which price still looks reasonable beside it. Gardeners’ World, on 5 January 2026, and The Telegraph’s list tested branded pruners, led by the Stihl GTA 26. They do not price these ASINs. Putting their verdict on a Seesii would invent a test. The method here is the public listing: stars, review count, bar, packs, the oil note, and whether the review text belongs to that ASIN. A chain brake counts only where the listing claims one. Criteria without a crown are on the mini chainsaw buying guide.

Top pick in this set

The top pick is the Seesii CH700R at about £49.99: a 6 inch saw, two 4000 mAh packs, a manual oiler, a safety lock and an auxiliary handle. The listing is 4.5 from 9,284, the joint highest line in the folder. The same line, including the opening UK reviews, is on the 8 inch CH850 at about £69.98. Do not add the counts. Comments mention long battery life, weak gloves, and a tensioner that loosened. The bullets say 1000 W and 1.4 kg. The spec field says 900 W and 3.7 kg. Oil is not included. A chain brake is not stated. Skip it if you need a stated brake or a sample that belongs only to this ASIN. The M8 Boost, at about £59.99, has an 8 inch bar fitted, a spare 6 inch bar, two 4000 mAh packs, and its own 4.4 from 1,695 reviews. The seller still caps cuts at 6 inches.

Best value in this set

The best value is the Angseen SKU002010 at about £33.99: a 6 inch kit, two 2.0 Ah packs, two chains, and 4.4 from 2,512 reviews. Reviewers praise the cut. Complaints are packs that died mid-job, one pack that failed after three uses, and a handle broken in delivery. The brake is not stated. The title says brushless and the spec field says 700 W. The oil bottle is listed and the fill is not. A WD-40 tip in a review is not the oil to buy. The Rivlox at about £28.48 is 3.8 from 9 reviews, including a chain that kept coming off and a saw that died after about ten uses, so it is not the budget winner. The NovorikX at about £89.98 is the stated dual-brake and 2.4 A UK-charger option, at 3.8 from 86 reviews. The brake and the stars are different evidence.

Stihl, Husqvarna and Webb

Gardeners’ World, 5 January 2026, names the Stihl GTA 26 with a 10 cm bar and about 25 minutes, £114 bare in the table and £119 tool-only in the review. The same article lists the Husqvarna Aspire P5-P4A at £179.99 and the Webb Eco WEV20PSB2 at £89.99, and prints 2.89 kg for the Stihl. Stihl UK prices the tool-only GTA 26 at £119 including VAT and says to use both hands. Action Lawn lists a set at £159 including VAT and 1.2 kg excluding bar and chain. Quote one source. Do not average the weights. None of those prices is the Seesii or the Angseen on amazon.co.uk. If you want a magazine-tested pruner in that £119–£180 band, buy the branded saw. If you want two 4.0 Ah packs at about £50 and accept the shared 9,284, the CH700R is the buy inside this set. A trunk belongs on mini chainsaw vs chainsaw.

Common questions

What is the best mini chainsaw in this amazon.co.uk set, and for whom?
Inside these twelve listings, the top pick is the Seesii CH700R at about £49.99, for a 6 inch bar and two 4000 mAh packs, with a manual oiler. The listing shows 4.5 from 9,284, shared with the 8 inch CH850, including the opening reviews. Skip it if you need a stated chain brake or a review sample that belongs only to this ASIN.
What is the best value, and who should skip it?
The best value is the Angseen SKU002010 at about £33.99, with two 2.0 Ah packs, two chains, and 4.4 from 2,512 reviews. Skip it if you want 4.0 Ah packs, a stated chain brake, or a listing whose brushless claim and 700 W field agree. The Rivlox at about £28.48 rests on 9 reviews that include early failures, so it is not the value pick.
How does that differ from the Stihl GTA 26 in UK magazine tests?
The GTA 26 in Gardeners’ World and The Telegraph is a branded 10 cm pruner. Stihl UK lists the tool-only saw at £119 including VAT, and the magazine write-ups cite about 25 minutes. The CH700R is an amazon.co.uk kit at about £49.99 with a 6 inch bar. They were not put on the same bench. A magazine score applies to the Stihl, not to the Seesii.
Why is the 8 inch Seesii not the top pick when it shows the same stars?
The CH850 shows the same 4.5 from 9,284 because the opening UK reviews match the CH700R. Paying about £69.98 instead of about £49.99 buys the 8 inch bar, not a second sample. Oil is still excluded and a chain brake is still not stated. For Seesii reviews that do not open that way, use the M8 Boost and its own 1,695 reviews.
Is the NovorikX a better pick because it claims a chain brake?
It is the better pick only on that criterion. It is the only listing here with a claimed dual brake and a stated 2.4 A UK charger, at about £89.98 and 3.8 from 86 reviews. The title does not say mini, and the bullets say 530 W while the spec field says 2.3 horsepower. It is not the top pick on the star line.
What must the page not call a lab test?
The star lines, the shared review text and the magazine articles are public sources. These saws were not used to cut timber, the watt figures were not verified, and Gardeners’ World’s Stihl result was not merged into an amazon.co.uk ASIN. Top pick means the highest listing score inside this set, with the shared-review limit attached.
