Best door stop alarm

Updated: October 2026

You want one name for a weekend away, a second if you have two inward doors, and a reason to leave the rest. Best here means a door stop alarm whose amazon.co.uk reviews belong to that ASIN, and a power source you will have on the night. It does not mean a lab winner, and it does not mean the wedge stops a burglar. Prices are the 19 October 2026 shelf figures, from about £7.69 to about £16.99. The rows are on the [alarm door stop comparison](/hub/door-and-window-security/alarm-door-stop). Peter F. did not test these in a lab. What best can mean here

A door stop alarm here is a wedge for an inward-opening door. It adds a little friction and a siren. police.uk still wants the door locked. Swing and gap come first in the door stop alarm buying guide. TECKNET is 4.4 from 557 on its own listing. KERUI's MZ09 pair is 4.4 from 12, not the single's texts. Both Mengshen pages show 4.3 from 2,290 as one pool. Miangerrn is 5.0 from one rating. Jognee is 4.0 from 85, and two of six captured texts say faulty.

The rechargeable pick and who should skip it

TECKNET's TK-HA003 is the top pick when you will charge it at home. It is about £13.99, with USB-C, a sensitivity roller, and a 36-month warranty if you register. Reviewers often needed two hours, not the one hour on the bullet. No gap is stated. Reviews are mostly hotel, Airbnb, and Travelodge nights. One unit sounded when tapped and stayed quiet on several doors. Skip it if the cell may be flat. The night-of steps are on how to use a door stop alarm.

Pairs, 3-packs, and the shared Mengshen line

KERUI's MZ09 2-pack is the best value for two inward doors if your gaps clear about 8–10 mm. It is about £12.99, 4.4 from 12 of its own reviews, with one 9V each not included. A small gap plus carpet let the door push the alarm along. Mengshen's 3-pack is about £16.99 against about £8.98 for the single, and both share the 2,290 line. Per wedge the pack is cheaper only if all three work.

Skip these situations

Do not take the KERUI single, MZ08, as the default. It is about £8.99, and one reviewer fitted the 9V and the unit became very hot and smelt of burning. Miangerrn's Y-104 is about £12.90. The only review found AAA cells after a hotel issued the wrong key. A 5.0 from one rating is not a reliability record. Jognee is about £7.69 with a 10–25 mm gap, and two of six captured reviews say it did not work. The size line is a 10 mm cube. If the door has no gap, compare a handle alarm.

Common questions

Which door stop alarm has the most real reviews?
TECKNET TK-HA003, B0FYM9RR5T, at 4.4 from 557 on its own listing. Mengshen's 4.3 from 2,290 is shared by the single and the 3-pack, so it is one pool. Miangerrn's 5.0 is one person. KERUI's pair is 4.4 from 12 of its own texts, which is real and small. Most reviews only helps after you know the pool is not borrowed from another ASIN.
Is the Mengshen 3-pack better value than the single?
Only if you need three wedges and all three work. The 3-pack is about £16.99 against about £8.98, so the sticker price per unit is lower. Both pages show the same 2,290 ratings. Reviewers say the 9V is not supplied, and one pack had a dead unit. Item weight of 97 g is not a sensible figure for three stops. Buy three PP3 cells with it, and test each one before you travel.
Is a 5.0 score meaningful if only one person rated it?
No. Miangerrn's Y-104 is 5.0 from one rating. That review is a useful story: AAA cells in that box, two volume levels, very loud, bought after a wrong-key incident. It cannot tell you the failure rate, the gap, or whether the next unit includes batteries. A single five-star line is not a reason to skip a product with hundreds of its own ratings.
Which one should I pack if I will not buy a 9V?
TECKNET, if you charge the USB-C cell before you leave. KERUI, Mengshen, and Lomuna all need a PP3 that is not in the box. Jognee uses LR44 and does not say they are included. Miangerrn's only review found AAA cells in the box, which is not a listing promise. A rechargeable wedge with a flat cell is as useless on the night as a 9V wedge with no battery.
Which one should I avoid if a review mentions heat?
The KERUI single, MZ08, B0GWGTPV8S. One of nine United Kingdom reviews says the unit became very hot and smelt of burning when the 9V was fitted. The 2-pack is a different ASIN, MZ09, with different review text, and that heat note is not in the pair's file. Any wedge that warms up in your hand should be switched off and the cell removed.
Is the cheapest the best for a trial?
Jognee at about £7.69 is the lowest shelf price, with a 10–25 mm gap on the bullet. It is a fair trial only when you can return it quickly if it is dead. Two of six captured reviews say faulty or returned, the size attribute is a 10 mm cube, and no sensitivity switch is described. A trial you cannot test before a trip is the alarm you do not have.
