Four Einhell machines, not one

Tyres, balls and air beds suit a pump that stops at a set pressure and stores nothing. That is the CE-CC at £46.99, the PRESSITO 18/21 at £59.99, the PRESSITO 18/25 at £59.98 and the hybrid at £84.98. Einhell’s page for the 18/21 states a tank of 0 litres. None includes a battery. The suitcase is the easy misread. The TC-AC 190 OF Set is £83.00, 230 V and oil-free. The 190 litre tank field copies the intake in the model name. There is no reservoir. It is 3.8 from 454 reviews, and pressure falls when the pump stops. A cordless tank is a third machine: 5 litres on one 18 V pack at £154.64, 6 litres on two packs at £141.95, and the SILENZZO at 8 litres and £214.98. They top a tyre and then run out of stored air. The mains receivers are the oil 24 litre at £129.95, the silent 24 litre at £169.93, and the 50 litre at 10 bar and £212.95. The middle number is the tank and the last number is bar. The leading 190 or 240 is intake.

Free air, not the intake number

The figure that matters is air delivered at the pressure your tool uses. Intake is always larger. Einhell’s PRESSITO 18/21 page states 14 litres a minute at 0 bar, 9 at 4 bar and 6 at 7 bar. The CE-CC maker page splits output as 12, 10 and 8 litres a minute at those same pressures. Six or eight litres a minute will finish a car tyre. It will not keep a spray gun wet. The 50 litre amazon field says 240 litres a minute. Einhell states 76 litres a minute at 7 bar for part 4010393, and 55 litres a minute at 7 bar for the silent 24 litre. The amazon raw does not print that 55. If the tool wants more than the pump replaces, a bigger tank only stores a short burst.

Battery, plug and noise

Every cordless listing here is body only. The TE-AC 36/150 needs two 18 V packs. UK mains are 230 V and the plug is BS 1363. A review of the oil 24 litre describes a continental plug and a PCL outlet. Einhell states 240 V on the hybrid cable. The amazon raw omits that voltage. Noise figures here are not one league table. The silent bullet says 57 dB LpA and the service sheet states 78 dB(A) LWA. The 50 litre amazon line says 95 dB, while the maker page states 77 dB(A) LpA. The suitcase and the oil 24 litre state 97 dB with no LpA or LWA label. The SILENZZO line of 14 decibels is not a measurement.

Which fork to take

If you only inflate tyres and you already own an 18 V pack, take the CE-CC. If you also deflate mattresses, take a PRESSITO, and take the hybrid when you want a cable as well. That split is on the Einhell cordless tyre inflator page. For a quieter garage, start with the silent 24 litre. For 10 bar, look at the 50 litre. The best Einhell compressor page names the top pick and the best-value pick. Oil has one lubricated listing, the TC-AC 190/24/8. Ten bar times 50 litres is 500, over HSE’s 250 bar-litre example for a work written scheme. A driveway is not that duty.

Common questions

Does the Einhell come with a battery?
No, on the cordless models in this set. The CE-CC, both PRESSITO bodies, the hybrid, the 5 litre, the 6 litre and the SILENZZO are body only. Mains receivers and the suitcase do not use a pack. Add a battery before you compare a Solo price with a 230 V machine.
Is 24 litres enough, or do I need 50 litres?
Twenty-four litres at 8 bar is the stored burst for light nailing, a blow gun and tyres, if the pump can refill it. Einhell states 55 litres a minute at 7 bar for the silent 24 litre, and 76 for the 50 litre. A bigger tank does not fix a tool that outruns the pump.
What does the 190 in TC-AC 190 mean?
On the mains TC-AC names, 190 is intake in litres per minute, not the tank. The suitcase field then says 190 litres of tank. On the oil model the tank is the 24 and the plate pressure is the 8.
Will it run a nailer or a spray gun?
A low-pressure spray gun was usable for one reviewer of the 24 litre oil model. A dual-action sander was not. The silent listing mentions stapling or nailing and does not name the tools. Match demand to free air at 7 bar. These listings do not guarantee a particular gun.
Why do some listings say 97 dB and the silent model 57 dB?
They are often different kinds of number. The silent bullet labels 57 dB as LpA. A 97 dB line is an unsourced sound level. The service sheet also states 78 dB(A) LWA. This set does not support a single noise winner.
Is a UK plug included?
A 230 V line does not guarantee a BS 1363 plug. A review of the 24 litre oil model describes a continental plug and a PCL outlet against BSP fittings. If it is wrong and you are not competent to change it, stop and use someone who is.
