Alexa thermostat cost UK: shelf price is not the bill

Stored amazon.co.uk prices for an Alexa thermostat run from £42.99 to £164.99. A missing hub, bridge, or optional tado AI Assist can still sit on the bill.

You are pricing a first smart heating control, and the amazon.co.uk baskets refuse to line up. The Alexa thermostat cost UK households should write down is the shelf price, plus a hub, a bridge, or a border router when the box leaves it out, plus an optional subscription if you choose one.
These are stored amazon.co.uk prices from our Alexa thermostat comparison, captured on 16 October 2026. The lowest sticker in the set is £42.99. The lower cluster is about £43 to £63. Listings that include a hub sit at about £130 to £165, and a Hive kit with a hub is £164.99. None of these numbers is a fitter's invoice.
This page is from Peter F., editor for DIY & tools. Prices are the stored amazon.co.uk listings plus tado's UK AI Assist price, £3.99 a month or £29.99 a year. No boiler was opened and no thermostat was lab-tested. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
In short
Stored Alexa thermostat prices here run from £42.99 to £164.99. The about £43 to £63 cluster and the about £130 to £165 hub cluster are shelf prices. A bridge or hub can be missing from an add-on, tado AI Assist is an optional £3.99 a month or £29.99 a year, and a Gas Safe visit has no price on this page.
Alexa thermostat cost UK: three shelf bands
The Beok two-wire combi thermostat, ASIN B0FHW6PTPM, is £42.99, the lowest of the ten. Two KETOTEK listings share £44.99 and do different work. ASIN B0833N4ZZ3 is the electric underfloor thermostat. ASIN B08FHWJY7L is the boiler thermostat whose name includes 3 A, the best value row. The tado V3+ wireless starter, ASIN B08LP1LS5T, is the top pick at £57.50, and that price includes the bridge. The Meross MTS215B, ASIN B0F32CMSDS, is £59.99. The Beok wireless boiler thermostat, ASIN B0H2CR3V79, is £62.99. The Meross sticker does not say a boiler receiver is in the carton. The £20 between the Beok rows is only £62.99 minus £42.99, a weak basis for a rule that every wireless kit costs £20 more.
Above that cluster, the tado Smart Thermostat X wired add-on, ASIN B0CWPG6G5W, is £79.99 and comes without a bridge. The Hive thermostat with the hub not included, ASIN B0DCGNQ17S, is £104.96. The buying guide sets box contents next to the cable you have. The hub cluster is the tado Wireless Smart Thermostat X starter, ASIN B0D9QBPV51, at £129.99, and the Hive thermostat with the Nano 3 hub, ASIN B0DCGMD9KX, at £164.99. Leave off any Hive Mini or other street price that is not one of these ten rows. The best Alexa thermostats page ranks these listings rather than a frozen basket.
Hub, bridge, and add-on traps
The Hive gap is £60.03. Pay £164.99 on B0DCGMD9KX when the house has no compatible hub. Price £104.96 on B0DCGNQ17S when a hub is already there. Hive's shop treats included parts as model-specific, so the brand name is not a single bill. The V3+ bridge is already inside £57.50, so that starter and the Hive kit with the Nano 3 hub are £107.49 apart. The KETOTEK boiler row is £12.51 less than the V3+, and neither label promises the ASIN suits your wires or your cylinder.
A cylinder that needs its own channel can be a different box from a heating-only kit. Our Alexa and hot water page is where that channel is sorted out. At £79.99 the tado X wired add-on undercuts the X starter at £129.99 by £50, and it arrives without a bridge. This comparison has no separate bridge ASIN, so that £50 is not a price for a bridge on its own. If a compatible bridge is already in the house, the add-on is the hardware line. If you are guessing, the £129.99 starter is the shelf total you can point at.
Some kits join the home network through a border router, a Wi-Fi hub, or a brand bridge. This comparison prices that box only when the ASIN names it: the Nano 3, the bridge inside the V3+ starter, and the X add-on that arrives without a bridge. There is no standalone border-router row, so keep the line blank until you have an ASIN and a price. V3+ and X are different products, and a bridge from one family is a poor assumption for the other.
The optional subscription
No subscription price is stored for Hive, Meross, Beok, or KETOTEK. Copying tado's fee onto those brands would invent a bill. The plan this page can quote is tado AI Assist, from tado's UK product page: £3.99 a month or £29.99 a year. Twelve months at the monthly price is £47.88, which is £17.89 more than paying £29.99 for the year. Over three years at the annual rate the same price comes to £89.97, more than the V3+ sticker of £57.50.
The V3+ at £57.50 plus £29.99 of AI Assist is £87.49. The same starter plus twelve monthly payments is £105.38. The X starter at £129.99 plus the annual plan is £159.98. The Hive kit with the Nano 3 hub stays at £164.99 in this sum, because no Hive monthly figure is stored beside it. tado also publishes a savings line on that product page. That line is the manufacturer's claim about gas. It is not a measured result for your house, and it is not a discount off the shelf price. This page does not list which features sit behind AI Assist.
Work a tradesperson can still add
The amazon.co.uk price is the parcel, not the installed price. This set has no national tariff, so a UK-wide installation cost would be fiction. Opening the boiler case is a job for a Gas Safe registered engineer, so ask for a quote. A room head on existing wires can be a shorter visit. Who can fit a thermostat in the UK separates those jobs. A new gas boiler in England is a Boiler Plus question, and that rule sets no sticker here. The Boiler Plus page is where it starts and stops.
The Beok two-wire combi at £42.99 matches a two-wire combi wall. A neutral or a boiler receiver is a different product, such as the wireless Beok at £62.99. Cable, a back box, and a Gas Safe visit have no price on this page. Both KETOTEK rows are £44.99, and electric underfloor heating is not a boiler. If B0833N4ZZ3 omits a floor probe, that sticker understates the floor job. Smart Life is not one of these ten titles. If the KETOTEK boiler stat or the Meross is silent about a receiver, leave that line blank.
What to leave off the total
Write four lines at most: the ASIN, a network box only if that ASIN omits one, AI Assist only for tado and only if you want it, and labour only after a quote. Leave out a national installation fee, a Hive Mini, a border-router price, a star rating, and tado's gas-savings claim used as a discount. Leave out a floor probe and a generic receiver until they have prices of their own. The best value label on the £44.99 KETOTEK boiler row still leaves a hub kit, a floor kit, and a combi control as three different jobs.
A first tado V3+ home, with no bridge already owned, is a short sum. Write £57.50 for B08LP1LS5T, and treat the bridge as already inside that starter. Add £29.99 if you want AI Assist for a year, which makes £87.49, or add nothing if you do not. Until a fitter's quote exists, the known total is £57.50, or £87.49 with the annual plan. A first Hive home, with no hub already owned, is £164.99 for B0DCGMD9KX, with AI Assist left off. A house that already has a compatible Hive hub prices B0DCGNQ17S at £104.96 and then stops. Adding the £164.99 kit as well would buy the hub twice on paper.
A first tado X home that starts from the wired add-on writes £79.99 and then a blank bridge line. If that blank is unacceptable, replace the pair with the starter at £129.99. Add AI Assist only if you want the same optional plan. Then check the live amazon.co.uk basket, because a stored price from 16 October 2026 can move, and read whether the title says hub, bridge, starter, or add-on before you treat the sticker as complete.
