Einhell cordless or corded table saw

Updated: 21 October 2026

The £269.04 price on the TE-TS 36/210 looks like a complete saw until you read the line that says the battery and charger are not included. This page is the Einhell cordless table saw set against the corded stand saw, the TC-TS 2025/2 U at £126.00. You either already own Power X-Change packs, or you are about to buy them, and you want to know when the lead is worth giving up. The [Einhell table saw comparison](/hub/power-saws/einhell-table-saw) holds the other two listings as well. This page does not re-rank the compact TC-TS 8 I, and it does not fix a fence. Peter F. wrote this on 19 October 2026 from the amazon.co.uk listings, Einhell’s page for article 4340450 and the datasheet. It is not a lab test. What the cordless listing actually is

There are two amazon.co.uk listings with the TE-TS 36/210 name, and they are not the same box. B08B6CGFKV is the Li-Solo body at £269.04, 4.6 from 394 reviews. The title says 36 V Power X-Change without battery. The item type name also says 18 V, and it says the battery and charger are not included. Two lithium-ion batteries are required. Einhell’s English page for article 4340450 states 2 × 18 V, soft start, and zero batteries and zero chargers in the box. An 18 V phrase does not mean one pack. Two 18 V packs are how this saw reaches 36 V. B09QT9JSGY is a different ASIN at £347.67. The title says 2 × 4 Ah and a twin charger. The star line is 5.0 from four ratings. The stored listing has no review text, no article number, no weight and no dimensions. The included-components line says only Battery. The wattage field says 36 W. Do not read 36 W as the motor. Check the live page before you treat £347.67 as a saw plus two 4 Ah packs and a charger. Einhell’s datasheet recommends packs of 2.5 Ah or more. UK reviews mention 5 Ah packs lasting well, and one buyer says a couple of hours of use is possible on two batteries. The listing speed of 500 rpm and the blade-length field of 30 mm on the body are bad fields. The highlight says 70 mm and a 210 mm blade. Amazon’s tooth count is 24. Einhell’s page says 40 teeth. Use Einhell’s article page for the blade, and ignore 500 rpm.

Cut and table against the stand saw

The cordless cut you can cite from Einhell is 70 mm at 90° and 45 mm at 45°, at 3,800 rpm, on article 4340450. The Amazon highlight matches the 70 mm. The table on the datasheet is 480 × 467 mm, and the weight on Einhell’s page is 13.15 kg. The bullets add an aluminium table, a soft start, pull-out width extensions on the right, an angle stop from −60° to +60°, and a blade that tilts continuously up to 45° to the left. The corded comparison is the TC-TS 2025/2 U, article 4340490, at £126.00, 4.3 from 4,675 reviews. The stand is in the title. The listing weight is 19.2 kg and the size is 113.5 × 89.6 × 87 cm. Einhell lists S1 1,800 W, S6 2,000 W, a 250 mm blade, 24 teeth and 5,000 rpm. The Amazon bullets describe a one-hand height and angle adjustment and do not give millimetres. Conrad’s retailer sheet for the same article lists 85 mm at 90° and 65 mm at 45°. That is Conrad, not a sentence on einhell.co.uk. DIY Garden’s soft-start claim for this corded saw is rejected here, because Einhell’s UK page does not list a soft start. Set the two heights beside their documents. Cordless, Einhell: 70 mm at 90° and 45 mm at 45°. Stand saw, Conrad only: 85 mm and 65 mm. The cordless saw is lighter without a stand, at 13.15 kg against 19.2 kg. Neither has a sliding carriage. Soft start on the cordless bullets is a listed function. It is not a claim you can move across to the TC-TS 2025/2 U.

What UK buyers said

Of 49 review chunks on the body, 24 are marked reviewed in the United Kingdom, and the themes here use only those. Buyers who already own Power X-Change packs say the saw makes sense. They describe a clean cut with a new or sharp blade, and several call it quiet. They take it into the garden and onto site. A joiner in the file uses it for MDF and plywood box-in work and for small house projects, and still uses a DeWalt table saw beyond those small jobs. One buyer reports cutting 75 mm hardwood and softwood, which is above the 70 mm Einhell states at 90°. Treat that as one owner’s report, not a new capacity. The complaints are specific. The saw needs two batteries, not one. The fence is fiddly and easy to clamp out of square, though buyers who set it carefully say the cuts stayed square. One buyer calls the construction mostly cheap plastic and says it cuts out on denser wood. On the stand saw, the UK file is much larger, and the praise is the motor for the price: pallet ripping, oak architrave, a big table. The complaints are assembly instructions, a fence that is not square, dust on the floor with a household vacuum, a very loud start, and breaker trips in more than one review. You are choosing between a lighter saw that stops when the packs stop, and a louder stand saw that runs as long as the socket does.

When corded, when cordless

Buy the TE-TS 36/210 if you already have two Power X-Change packs of at least 2.5 Ah and you need to leave the socket. The body at £269.04 is then a saw you can carry, with a stated 70 mm at 90°, for trim, shelving, MDF and plywood of the sort UK reviews describe. It is the wrong buy if those packs are still to be purchased and a 13 A socket is a few metres away. In that case the TC-TS 2025/2 U at £126.00 is the corded saw with the stand, the larger review file, and the motor reviewers use for heavier DIY, with Conrad’s 85 mm as a retailer height rather than an Einhell sentence. The kit at £347.67 is not automatically the better cordless buy. The components line and the empty review file mean you confirm the box, and you do not let 5.0 from four ratings outrank 4.6 from 394. If you only need a small corded bench and a stand is too much, that is the TC-TS 8 I, which this page leaves to the Einhell table saw buying guide. The best Einhell table saw page names the stand saw as the top pick when the socket is not the problem. A joiner who needs a site saw for the whole day, on stock above 70 mm, or on full sheets, should not treat the cordless Einhell as that saw.

Common questions

When is the cordless saw the right Einhell?
It is the right Einhell when the work is away from a socket and two Power X-Change packs of at least 2.5 Ah are already yours. UK reviews then use the TE-TS 36/210 for MDF, plywood, trim and small house jobs, and they call the cut clean with a sharp blade. It is the wrong Einhell when you still have to buy the packs and the TC-TS 2025/2 U can plug in at £126.00. The packs are the decision, not the star rating.
How many batteries, and what size does Einhell name?
Two. Einhell’s page for article 4340450 states 2 × 18 V, and the Amazon listing says two lithium-ion batteries are required. The datasheet recommends 2.5 Ah or higher. A title that says 18 V is still two packs. UK reviews talk about 5 Ah packs and about a couple of hours on two batteries. One pack will not run this saw as a 36 V tool.
What does £269.04 leave out?
It leaves out both batteries and the charger. The item type name says they are not included, and Einhell’s page says the box has none. You also do not get a stand. The highlight’s 70 mm and 210 mm blade are on the saw. The speed field of 500 rpm and the 30 mm blade field are conflicts, not extra capacity. Add the cost of two packs before you compare £269.04 with £126.00.
Is the kit at £347.67 the same saw with packs?
The title says it is the TE-TS 36/210 with 2 × 4 Ah and a twin charger. The stored listing has no article number and no review text, and the components line says only Battery. It may be that kit. It is not proven by the components line, and 5.0 from four ratings is not the 394-review file on the body. Open the live amazon.co.uk page and read the box contents before you pay the difference.
How does 70 mm compare with the stand saw’s 85 mm?
Seventy millimetres at 90°, and 45 mm at 45°, are Einhell’s figures for the cordless article. Eighty-five millimetres at 90°, and 65 mm at 45°, are on Conrad’s retailer sheet for the TC-TS 2025/2 U. The Amazon bullets for the stand saw do not state a millimetre height. You can cite 70 mm as Einhell. You cite 85 mm as Conrad. One UK cordless review reports a 75 mm cut. That does not rewrite the datasheet.
Will it replace a corded site saw for a joiner?
Not on the evidence in the UK reviews. A joiner uses it for box-in work and small house projects and keeps a DeWalt table saw for anything beyond that. One review says the saw cuts out on denser wood. The table is the compact aluminium top Einhell lists, not the stand saw’s 113.5 cm frame. For a day of sheet goods beside a socket, the corded stand saw is the closer listing, and even that has no sliding carriage.
Why do titles say 18 V?
The body listing’s item type name says 18 V beside a 36 V title, and the kit title leads with 18 V before it names the TE-TS 36/210. Power X-Change packs are 18 V each. This saw uses two of them. A shop line that calls the Solo an 18 V cordless saw is the confusion, not a second model. If the page asks for one battery only, it is not this table saw.
