10m endoscope camera buying guide

Updated: 22 October 2026

You are about to order a snake camera for a loft cable, a gap behind plasterboard, or a short pipe you would rather not open. The title will say 10 m, waterproof, and HD, and those words do not describe the same part of the tool. This 10m endoscope camera buying guide is how we read that amazon.co.uk shelf. On 21 October 2026 the five kept listings ran from £18.99 to £36.09. We used the bullets and the UK review texts, not a lab. The table is the [endoscope camera 10m comparison](/hub/measuring-equipment/endoscope-camera-10m). A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Read the length on the bullet, then on the cable

Trust the bullet and the coil, not the title alone. Every listing kept here states about 10 m of semi-rigid cable. One UK review of the Yamokizy says about 16 feet, not 10 m. Some UK reviews of the Ferdiiz AN112-10M say 16.4 ft against a bullet of 10 m. 32.8 ft in a title is 10 m. Measure the coil. A 10 m cable is not 10 m of pipe, and none of the five has a distance counter. A boundary distance is a survey, on the DIY drain camera guide.

Match the head to the hole

Stated diameters are 7.9 mm or 8 mm. The Ferdiiz P430-10M does not state a diameter, so do not invent one. An 8 mm head will not enter a spark-plug thread. Stated focus is a few centimetres: about 4–10 cm on the Yamokizy, about 1–10 cm or 2–10 cm on the phone Ferdiiz, and about 2–10 cm on the Ennovor. Vorth says close-up and gives no centimetre band.

Know where the picture appears

The Yamokizy SC08 at £36.09 and the Ferdiiz P430-10M at £23.99 use a 4.3 inch screen and say there is no app. Neither bullet mentions a memory card. Ferdiiz AN112-10M uses Usee Plus, Vorth uses UseePlus, and Ennovor uses SUP-ANESOK. The phone supplies the power. On Android, confirm On-The-Go. Vorth lists Android, Lightning, and USB-C on one line and a different adapter on another. That fork is the screen or phone page.

Read IP67 as a boundary

All five claim IP67. Under IEC 60529, also sold as BS EN 60529, that is dust-tight plus a temporary immersion test, commonly 1 m for 30 minutes on a small product. On these listings the claim sits on the probe. Keep the screen, the phone, and the plug dry. Vorth's one hour in 1 m of water is a seller sentence, not a certificate.

Stop if you needed a survey or a steerable tip

This shelf is a live look from outside a space, not a push-rod CCTV system and not a steerable probe. Distances and defect codes belong to BS EN 13508-2 and the WRc Manual of Sewer Condition Classification. A phone clip has neither. None of these five articulates. A spark-plug thread is outside the set.

Common questions

Is 10 m the length I will actually see down a pipe?
No. The bullet states the cable length, not how far the head travels through bends. These cables are semi-rigid and none of the five has a distance counter. A joint or debris can stop the head after a short push. A measured run to a boundary is a drainage survey, not a longer consumer cable. Measure the coil on arrival, because some UK reviews describe about 16 feet on a listing whose bullet says 10 m.
What probe diameter is in this set, and what will it not enter?
Where a diameter is stated it is 7.9 mm or 8 mm. That suits many wall gaps and a lot of domestic pipe. It will not pass a spark-plug thread, and it can bind in a tight vehicle gap where a slimmer probe is the usual trade choice. The Ferdiiz P430-10M bullets do not state a diameter. Focus, where stated, is only a few centimetres, so the head has to sit close to the surface you want to see.
Does IP67 mean I can rinse the handset?
No. Read IP67 as dust-tight plus a temporary immersion test, commonly 1 m for 30 minutes on a small enclosure under IEC 60529. Here the claim sits on the probe, not on the screen or the phone plug. Vorth's line about one hour in 1 m of water is the seller's sentence, not a certificate. Keep the handset and the connector dry. Sewage, heat, and oil are outside that test.
Do I need a memory card or an app to keep a picture?
The two screen cameras do not mention a memory card, and a UK review of the Yamokizy says it does not record. The picture leaves when you switch off. The three phone cameras can save a photo or a video if the lead stays connected, in Usee Plus, UseePlus, or SUP-ANESOK. You do not need a memory card for those. You do need a matching plug and, on Android, a phone that can host a USB device.
Why do some reviews mention 16 ft on a 10 m listing?
Reviewers sometimes describe the coil they received rather than the bullet. In this file, 16 feet and 16.4 ft appear on cameras whose bullets say 10 m. 32.8 ft is simply 10 m in feet. Measure before you rely on the length. If the coil does not match the description, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 is the route, inside the seller's return window.
What should I check before the return window closes?
Lay the cable against a tape and confirm about 10 m. Press a screen model's power button more than once, because that button is the repeated complaint on the Ferdiiz P430-10M. On a phone model, install the named app and save a short clip in the room before the head goes anywhere dirty. Check that a stated 7.9 mm or 8 mm head matches the hole. Photograph anything that disagrees with the bullet while you can still return it.
