Einhell leaf blower or vacuum

Updated: October 2026

The bag looks like the end of the job, until damp stalks sit in the tube and the leaves you wanted shredded are back on the grass. An Einhell leaf blower or vacuum decision is a pile you can rake or sheet, against a sack that UK reviews only trust on dry material. Prices sit on the [Einhell leaf blower comparison](/hub/lawn-and-garden-equipment/einhell-leaf-blower). We compared those amazon.co.uk listings on 22 October 2026 and did not run a lab test. Blow if the pile is the job

Buy a blower if you will rake the pile or blow it onto a sheet. Six bodies in this set only blow. The GE-CL 18 is 1.33 kg on one pack. The GP-LB 18/200 states 670 m³/h, still on one pack. The GE-LB 36/210 states 816 m³/h and needs two packs. The GP-LB 36/230 lists 890 m³/h. A highlight on that model mentions suction, and the bullets do not, so this comparison keeps it as blow-only. Some UK reviews of the GE-LB 36/210 say that blower moves wet leaves as well as dry ones. Those comments are not a result for a vacuum. If the leaves only need to reach a pile, the bag is extra weight. The buying guide keeps the price and volume criteria.

What the vac listings actually include

Three bodies collect, and all three are Solo. The VENTURRO 18/210 takes one 18 V pack. The capture is about £114.95 and 3.05 kg, with 500 m³/h suction and a catch bag the listing calls 45 litres. Einhell recommends 3.0 Ah or larger. The 10:1 shred line is a listing claim. We did not measure the pieces. The VENTURRO 36/240 needs two packs, at about £123, with 740 m³/h stated. The GE-CL 36 also needs two packs, at about £126.67, with a 45 litre bag. Amazon does not print an air volume for it. Einhell.co.uk lists 720 m³/h. UK reviewers like fewer empties when the shredder is working. That praise sits next to the blockage reviews.

Where UK reviews say the vac stops

The repeated failure on the VENTURRO 18/210 is a blockage. Across 4.0 from 1,770 reviews, leaf stalks and wet leaves stop the path. A MyToolShed note says dry oak is manageable and damp stalks choke it. Nature is Calling records that Einhell’s instructions both allow slightly damp material and caution against it. The VENTURRO 36/240 is 3.7 from 658 reviews. UK texts say the bag outlet blocks. The GE-CL 36 is 3.9 from 4,945 reviews. The vacuum stopped after a few weeks for more than one buyer, and the blow/suck switch clogs with damp debris. Clear a jam with the battery off. Aim and a blocked tube are in how to use an Einhell leaf blower.

When the bag is still the right tool

Buy a vacuum only for dry leaves you want shredded into a bag, and expect clogs when the leaves are damp. If you already own one pack of 3.0 Ah or more, the VENTURRO 18/210 is the vac that matches that constraint. If you already own two packs and you have read the harsher files, the VENTURRO 36 and the GE-CL 36 are the twin-pack bags. They are not the next step up from the GE-LB 36/210 for a blow-only tidy. If you only need a pile, stay with a blower. A rake or a sheet finishes the job without the clog path. Do not blow soil, stones, or acorns through these vacs and expect the reviews to be wrong. A swollen pack belongs with returns rather than with another suction attempt.

Common questions

Should I buy a vac if I only need a pile?
No. A blow-only body is the lighter tool for a pile you will rake or sheet. The GE-CL 18, the GP-LB 18/200, and the GE-LB 36/210 do not carry a collection path that can clog. Buy the bag when you want dry leaves shredded, not when you only want them in a corner of the lawn.
Will the VENTURRO suck wet leaves?
Do not buy it for that. UK reviews of the VENTURRO 18/210 describe blockages on stalks and wet leaves, and a reseller note says dry oak is manageable while damp stalks choke it. Einhell’s instructions, as Nature is Calling reports, both allow slightly damp material and caution against it. A boost line on the VENTURRO 36 does not override those blockage reviews.
What is the 10:1 claim?
It is a listing claim: the shredder is said to reduce leaves by about ten to one. This comparison did not measure chip size or bag count. UK reviewers like fewer empties when the blade works, and they also describe the path stopping. Treat 10:1 as the manufacturer’s ratio, and treat clogs on damp material as the limit. The GE-CL 36 page names a 45 litre bag, not a shred test from us.
Does the 36 V vac need two batteries?
Yes. The VENTURRO 36/240 and the GE-CL 36 each need two 18 V Power X-Change packs, and neither box includes them. The VENTURRO 18/210 takes one pack, with 3.0 Ah or larger recommended. One mower battery will not start the 36 V vacs.
Is a blower plus a rake enough?
Yes, when you do not need the leaves shredded into a sack. Blow the dry drift onto a sheet, then rake the corners. That avoids the vac path, where stalks and damp leaves stop these three models. It is also the better route on gravel, because stones do not belong in the intake. If the mat is too wet to lift, start with the rake.
