Einhell strimmer with battery

Updated: October 2026

The about £32.56 listing and the about £51.54 listing can look like one Einhell strimmer at two prices. They are not. One is a bare tool. The other states a 2.0 Ah battery and a charger in the box. This page is about an Einhell strimmer with battery: which of the eight amazon.co.uk listings include a pack, and what a separate starter kit does to the sum. The [Einhell grass trimmer comparison](/hub/lawn-and-garden-equipment/einhell-grass-trimmer) holds the table from 19 October 2026. Peter F. used those listings and Einhell’s UK pages. What Solo means in this set

On Einhell’s page for article 3411172, the GE-CT 18 Li-Solo is supplied without a battery and without a charger. That is what Solo means here. Five listings are tool-only: the blade Solos at about £32.56, about £39.95, and about £48.43, the 28 cm line Solo at about £64.95, and the 36 V tool at about £94.95, which needs two packs and includes neither. That last row is not a one-pack Solo. The 18 V Solos take one Power X-Change pack. Einhell’s approximate 40 minutes for article 3411172 belong to a 2.0 Ah pack this listing does not include. Blade versus line is a different decision, on the buying guide.

The two kits are not the same

Article 3411125 is the GC-CT 18/24 Li kit at about £51.54. The box lists a 2.0 Ah Power X-Change battery, a fast charger, and 20 plastic blades. The star line is 4.3 from 4,185 reviews. Item weight is 2.09 kg because the pack is included. The bullets describe a flower guard, not a rotating head. Article 3411197 is the GE-CT 18 Li kit at about £68.99. A battery and a fast charger are included. The amp-hour is not printed. The highlight says a rotating head and does not print the angle. About £17 more than the 2.0 Ah kit does not buy a capacity you can read.

Adding a battery to a Solo

A bare tool plus a starter pack is the right buy when you want a Solo the kits do not copy, such as the tilting head on article 3411172. It is a poor buy when you only wanted the cheapest way to own a 24 cm blade tool and a 2.0 Ah pack. Einhell’s own shop, on 22 October 2026, listed an 18 V 2.5 Ah starter kit, article 4512097, at about £30.95. That is not the 2.0 Ah pack inside article 3411125. Do not write 2.5 Ah onto the about £68.99 listing. About £32.56 on amazon.co.uk on 19 October 2026 plus that about £30.95 shop kit is about £63.51, above the about £51.54 kit, and the packs are not the same capacity. It is not an Amazon basket. Who should still pay for a particular Solo is on the best Einhell grass trimmer page.

Two packs, or no pack at all

Article 3411300 does not become a kit because it costs about £94.95. It is a 30 cm, 2 mm line trimmer, and the listing says two batteries are required and none are supplied. One starter kit leaves this tool half equipped. Two starter kits at about £30.95 each put the energy alone near about £62 before the shaft. The corded GC-ET 4530 at about £54.95 removes the battery question. Einhell prints a 10 m cable. You still need a 30 mA RCD, dry ground, and the cable over your shoulder. Keeping that lead out of the cutter is on the how to use page.

Common questions

Which of the eight include a battery?
Two. Article 3411125 at about £51.54 states a 2.0 Ah pack and a fast charger. Article 3411197 at about £68.99 includes a battery and a fast charger and does not print the amp-hour. The other five are tool-only. Article 3411300 among them needs two packs. The corded GC-ET 4530 needs none. The word kit is not a capacity.
What does Solo mean on Einhell’s own page?
For article 3411172, Einhell says the GE-CT 18 Li-Solo is supplied without a battery and charger. The same idea covers the other tool-only rows. Solo is the shaft and the cutter the listing names. It is not a ready-to-run price. The approximate 40 minutes on that brand page are for a 2.0 Ah pack this box does not contain.
Is £32.56 plus a starter kit still less than £51.54?
Not in the worked example. About £32.56 on amazon.co.uk on 19 October 2026, plus Einhell’s about £30.95 2.5 Ah starter kit on 22 October 2026, is about £63.51. That is above the about £51.54 Amazon kit, which states 2.0 Ah, so the packs are not the same size. Do not treat about £63.51 as an Amazon basket.
Why is the kit’s listed weight higher?
Because the pack is in the weigh-in. Article 3411125 is 2.09 kg with a 2.0 Ah battery included. The blade Solos at 1.2 kg and 1.35 kg are weighed without a pack. You cannot subtract and call the difference the battery’s true mass, and you cannot call the kit a heavier machine on that gap alone.
Does the 36 V tool count as a kit?
No. Article 3411300 at about £94.95 requires two 18 V packs and includes neither. The listing says it is supplied without a battery and charger. One 2.0 Ah starter kit does not complete it. It is a bare tool that happens to need a pair. Price two packs before you compare it with a kit.
Can I share the pack with a drill?
Yes, if the drill’s pack is an 18 V Power X-Change battery and the strimmer is an 18 V tool. That shared pack is why Solo exists. The 36 V trimmer needs two of those packs fitted together, so one drill battery will not start it. A Bosch or Makita pack will not fit. These listings describe an Einhell Power X-Change pack.
