Einhell lawn mower for a small garden

Updated: October 2026

A small UK garden is often a front patch and a back lawn the width of a terrace. You do not need a 46 cm deck to keep that tidy, and you do need a carton that will start. This Einhell lawn mower for a small garden stays inside the 30–34 cm cards, plus the corded 37 cm model if a socket is simpler than a battery. The wider kits are the wrong chapter. The whole set is on the [Einhell electric lawn mower comparison](/hub/lawn-and-garden-equipment/einhell-electric-lawn-mower). Peter F. read the saved amazon.co.uk listings on 22 October 2026. We did not mow a terrace as a test. A qualifying purchase can earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

What counts as small in this range

Einhell's UK hub, as maker guidance, points at a width up to 33 cm for lawns up to about 250 m². Screwfix's generic cordless guide, not a test of these ASINs, says about 30–34 cm suits a small garden because the mower turns between beds. The narrow cards are the 30 cm kit, the 30 cm Solo, the 32 cm Solo, the 33 cm kit and the 33 cm Solo. The RASARRO 36/34 title says 34 cm and a cell says 36 cm, at about £237.99 with two packs. That is the wrong budget for a terrace. The corded GC-EM 1600/37 is 37 cm and belongs here only as the socket alternative. A bigger lawn is the Einhell electric lawn mower buying guide.

The 30 cm kit and its limits

The GE-CM 18/30 Li kit is the starting point if you do not already own a pack. It is about £83.94, 4.2 from 9,541 reviews, with a 30 cm cut, a 25 litre box, a 3.0 Ah pack and three axial heights from 30 mm to 70 mm. The weight cell is 9.32 kg. It is a push mower. Gardeners' World called it a light small-lawn mower and faulted the collector and longer grass. UK reviews agree: short grass is fine, the height change is stiff, and the runtime fades as the lawn grows. If the first spring cut is long, leave this kit. The high first pass is on the how to use an Einhell electric lawn mower page.

33 cm with a battery, 33 cm without

The GE-CM 18/33 Li kit is about £149.95, 33 cm, with a 4.0 Ah pack, and 4.3 from 7,288 reviews. UK reviews say it is easier than a lead on a small garden, and that the battery slot is fiddly. Bullets say there is no collection bag. A highlight mentions a 30 litre box. Do not treat 30 litres as settled. The 33 cm Solo is about £119, 4.6 from 968 reviews, with a stated 30 litre box and no battery. It fits only when a pack is already on the shelf. The dimension cell of about 47.6 × 17.3 × 38.6 cm is not a credible size for the whole mower. The 32 cm Solo is also about £149.95, with no battery and both 180 m² and 270 m² printed. The best Einhell electric lawn mower page still names the about £83.94 kit as best value on a small lawn you cut often.

When a lead or a wider deck still makes sense

The corded GC-EM 1600/37 is 37 cm, about £114.99, 4.5 from 298 reviews, with a 10 m lead and a 38 litre box. If the socket covers the grass, it is a small-garden tool just outside the 33 cm band, and you are not buying a battery. UK reviews still mention a short lead. It is the wrong answer when the cable must cross uncut grass, which is the Einhell corded vs cordless lawn mower argument. The about £448 46 cm kit is overkill: 24.1 kg, wheel drive stated, 3.8 from 22 reviews, and a battery line that disagrees with itself. A 43 cm GE-CM 43 at about £239.94 is the same kind of step up. Leave both unless the garden is no longer small. If the grass has been left for a month, strim or take high passes before you blame a 30 cm deck.

Common questions

Should I buy the kit or the Solo?
Buy the about £83.94 GE-CM 18/30 Li kit if you need a pack in the carton. Buy the about £119 GE-CM 18/33 Li Solo only if you already own a Power X-Change battery. The Solo's 4.6 from 968 reviews does not include a battery. The kit's 4.2 from 9,541 is the larger sample, with a 3.0 Ah pack and charger.
Why is the 32 cm Solo the same price as a kit?
The GE-CM 18/32 C Li BL-Solo is about £149.95 and does not include a battery. The GE-CM 18/33 Li kit is the same about £149.95 and includes a 4.0 Ah pack and charger. The bare tool prints both 180 m² and 270 m², and it has no UK review text in the saved file. Matching the kit's price without the pack is not a saving. Prefer the carton that can mow, unless the packs are already yours.
Does the 33 cm kit have a grass box or not?
The listing says both. Bullets on the GE-CM 18/33 Li kit say there is no collection bag and mention side discharge. A highlight mentions a 30 litre box. The area text conflicts as well. Do not treat 30 litres as settled. Check the current amazon.co.uk images, or choose the 18/30 kit, which states 25 litres, if you need a collector you can name.
Will one 3.0 Ah pack finish two small lawns?
Sometimes, and the reviews do not promise it. The about £83.94 kit includes one 3.0 Ah pack. Owners of the 33 cm Solo say one pack may not do front and back. If both areas are pocket-sized and dry, one pack can be enough. If either lawn is long, plan on a recharge. This page does not invent a spare-pack price.
Do I need the 46 cm wheel-drive mower for a terrace?
No. The GC-CM 36/46 S Li BL kit is about £448, 24.1 kg, 3.8 from 22 reviews, and the only card here that states wheel drive. It also conflicts on whether one or two 4.0 Ah packs are included. A terrace in the 30–34 cm band does not need that weight.
