UV resistant artificial plants

Updated: 21 October 2026

You are about to stand a household faux plant in sun, on a patio, a balcony, a fence or a south-facing sill, and the listing has a UV tick. UV resistant artificial plants, on this amazon.co.uk shelf, are not one promise. A special-features tick, an indoor and outdoor field, and a UK maker's one-year fade line are three different sentences. Wind is a fourth. The twelve listings and their prices are on the [artificial plants comparison](/hub/houseplants/artificial-plants). Peter F. did not leave these plants in a UK summer and call it a test. What the UV line is doing

Leaf's outdoor guide, reviewed 29 September 2026, guarantees one year against fading on their UV-stabilised plants only. That year does not move onto an amazon.co.uk tick. Blooming Artificial describes UV resistance as a stabiliser in the plastic at manufacture, not a spray you add later, and they do not refund fade when an indoor plant is put outside. Green Envee's year is the same kind of limit: their products, their terms. Do not copy those years onto this set, and do not spray a tick into a guarantee. UXORSN mixes plastic and silk and still states no period. Form and the pot are on the artificial plants buying guide.

Sun through glass

Leaf treats sun through glass as exposure. A south-facing window and a patio at noon are the same fading problem for a plant sold as indoor. The Der Rose two-pack is the clear clash at £10.99: usage says indoor, features say UV, water and weather resistant, and no period is stated. The Monstera is indoor at £16.99 with UV on the features. AlphaAcc is indoor at £19.99 with UV on the features, and a UK review says it looks more realistic out of direct sunlight. Lafecuw, Elecoutek, RV MURTS and DazSpirit have no UV line. The Leaf ficus at £33.99 has no outdoor field. Do not send it outside.

Which listings in this set say outdoor

UXORSN is the row whose usage field says outdoor: £25.99, twenty stems, no pot, UV resistant, no period, 4.8 from 56. UK reviews from a sunny window box said it is too soon to judge fade. It is the top pick, and 56 ratings are not a summer test. The Der Rose four-pack at £14.99 says indoor and outdoor, with UV and no years. CQURE at £9.99 says indoor and outdoor, with fabric leaves. Plan 12 vines of 7 ft, not 213 metres. It is the best value for a garland, and one pack is not a fence.

Wind, weight and a fence

For plants actually sold as outdoor, Leaf's rule of thumb is a heavier planter, a sheltered corner, and moving a tall piece before a storm. The Monstera's 4.3-inch pot tips in a gust, and its field is indoor. AlphaAcc at 1.13 kg is still indoor. UXORSN is 640 g of stems, so the planter you add is the weight that matters. CQURE coverage is thinner than the photos, and one buyer received 11 strands. Fixing a plant to a balcony is a professional job, not a knot from this page.

What this page will not promise

No listing here states a number of years outdoors. A UV tick is not Leaf's year, Blooming's chamber, or Green Envee's guarantee. CQURE's non-flammable bullet is not a fire certificate. For most of these twelve, the wording cannot face UK sun for a stated season.

Common questions

Do UV resistant artificial plants survive UK sun?
Only in the sense the seller stated. Leaf guarantees one year against fading on their UV-stabilised outdoor plants, not on an amazon.co.uk tick. In this set, UXORSN says outdoor and UV resistant and states no period, and UK reviewers said it was too soon to know. A tick without a year is not a summer test.
Is a special-features UV tick a one-year guarantee?
No. Leaf, Blooming Artificial and Green Envee each attach a year to their own outdoor or UV-stabilised products. Der Rose, Bafenli, CQURE and UXORSN do not state that year. Fade resistant, on Bafenli, is a different phrase again, and it is not a UV line.
Can an indoor-only listing go on a balcony if it also says UV?
The usage field is the one to follow when it says indoor. The Der Rose two-pack, the Monstera and AlphaAcc put UV on the features and indoor on the usage field. Leaf would treat a balcony as sun and wind. A feature tick does not overturn the indoor field, and it does not add a fade period the page never printed.
Will fake plants fade in a south-facing window?
Leaf counts sun through glass as exposure. An indoor-only plant on that sill is in the same fading category as a patio, even with no rain. Choose a usage field that says outdoor, and still do not invent a year. The Leaf ficus here has no UV line, so it stays a room plant.
Will one 12-pack of ivy cover a fence?
Not as a solid screen. CQURE's bullets are twelve vines of 7 ft, and reviews say the coverage is thinner than expected. Use it as a garland you can see the gaps in. The length to plan from is 7 ft a vine, matching 2130 mm for one strand, not the 213 metre field.
Do you need a heavier planter, and who may fix it to a balcony?
Leaf's rule of thumb is extra weight, a sheltered corner, and moving a tall piece before a storm. UXORSN needs a planter you supply. The Monstera's small pot tips in a gust, and its field is indoor. Fixing a plant to a balcony is a fall risk for a professional, not a knot from this page.
