Realistic fake plants

Updated: 21 October 2026

You want greenery that still looks plausible from about a metre, and the amazon.co.uk title has already said realistic. Realistic fake plants, in this set of twelve, means a shape you can open after the parcel, in a size the listing actually states, for a spot the usage field allows. It does not mean a silk claim in the title, and it does not mean the highest star average. The prices and the clashes are on the [artificial plants comparison](/hub/houseplants/artificial-plants). Peter F. updated this on 21 October 2026. This is not a lab test. If you buy through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Plausible from a metre, not from the title

A close-up and a view from a metre are different tests. Leaf's own checklist is for their trees, not these ASINs. Crushed leaves are normal. Missing stalks are not. Stars run from 4.1 with 543 reviews to 4.8 with 56, which is not the same evidence as 4.3 from 19,822. UXORSN's twenty outdoor stems are the top pick because the comparison score is the highest. CQURE is the best value at about £9.99. Neither means a leaf will pass for a living plant in your hand. The checks are on the artificial plants buying guide.

Hanging trails and the ivy bag

The Der Rose four-pack is £14.99, trails 20.1 to 33.9 inches, indoor and outdoor, UV with no years. The two-pack is £10.99, about 32–34 inches, usage indoor, 4.1 from 543. Lafecuw is £10.99, vines stated at 100 cm, indoor only, 4.2 from 758. CQURE is £9.99, twelve fabric vines, 7 ft in the bullets, 4.3 from 19,822. Use 12 × 7 ft, not 213 metres. One pack is not a fence.

Desk pots, plastic and pulp

Bafenli is £7.99, a 7-inch plastic four-pack, fade resistant only, 4.2 from 640. It is a shelf, not a floor plant. Elecoutek is £15.99, pulp, do not submerge, 4.3 from 706, with no single height and a damp base that broke. RV MURTS is £14.99, pulp, 4.3 from 104, with cracked pots in the reviews. DazSpirit is £16.99, bullets about 8 × 7.5 cm against a 10 mm table line, 4.3 from 59. Use the bullet, and air them one to two days if they smell.

One floor plant you shape, and one that is already potted

The Monstera is £16.99, 28 inches, matching 71.1 cm. You click on 18 leaves. The 4.3-inch pot tips in a gust, and the usage field says indoor, 4.3 from 2,100. The Leaf ficus is £33.99, 90 cm on both height lines, wired, 3.2 kg, 4.5 from 3,820, with no outdoor field. Pull it into shape for a floor corner. The ceramic in the pictures is illustration only. The top pick is still the outdoor stems.

The clay pot, the outdoor stems, and the skips

AlphaAcc is £19.99, about 12.8 inches, 1.13 kg, indoor, 4.5 from 2,658. Skip it if you need one species: the page says succulents, a fiddle leaf fig, a snake plant and Ficus. UXORSN is £25.99, twenty plastic and silk stems, no pot, outdoor, UV resistant, 4.8 from 56. UK reviews used a sunny window box and said fade is too soon to judge. Keep pulp off a wet ledge.

Common questions

Which of these fake plants looks plausible from a metre?
After you shape it, the Leaf 90 cm ficus has agreeing height lines and 4.5 from 3,820 reviews. The Monstera can read as a floor plant once 18 leaves are clicked on, at 28 inches. A 7-inch pack can still look like plastic from a metre. Nothing here was a lab test of most realistic. The top pick is the UXORSN stems, not that ficus.
Does a 4.8-star listing beat one with thousands of reviews?
UXORSN is 4.8 from 56 reviews. CQURE is 4.3 from 19,822. The thin file is not a fade test. The top pick is still the UXORSN stems, because the score is the highest and the usage field says outdoor. That does not make 56 ratings a year in the sun. Best value is the CQURE ivy at about £9.99.
Is the Monstera ready to stand in the corner?
No. It arrives as a pot, a rhizome, 18 leaves and moss. UK reviews say you click each leaf on and straighten the branches. The pot is about 4.3 inches wide, and a porch gust tips it. Budget the evening, and keep the usage field in mind: it says indoor, even though features mention UV.
Are the mini 4-packs realistic or just small?
They are small. Bafenli states 7 inches. Elecoutek and RV MURTS are called smaller than the photo, and DazSpirit's usable size is an 8 cm pot bullet, not the 10 mm table line. They can dress a shelf. They are not a stand-in for the 90 cm ficus or the 28-inch Monstera.
Which hanging set is for indoors only?
Lafecuw's usage field says indoor, with water resistant and no UV line. The Der Rose two-pack's usage field also says indoor, despite UV and outdoor-decor features. The Der Rose four-pack is the one whose usage field says indoor and outdoor. CQURE is a garland, indoor and outdoor, not a potted trail.
What do you skip if the pot will get wet, or the spot is a patio?
Skip Elecoutek, RV MURTS and DazSpirit's pulp pots on a wet ledge. A damp Elecoutek base broke in a UK review. For a patio, skip indoor-only fields, including Lafecuw and the Leaf ficus, which has no outdoor line. A UV tick with no year does not overturn an indoor field.
