Best artificial plants UK

Updated: 21 October 2026

You have a lifestyle photo of a full green corner, and the basket on amazon.co.uk is a 4-pack the bullets put at about 7 inches. Best artificial plants UK is less a hunt for a magic brand than four checks in order: the form, the size line, the pot, and whether the listing is actually sold for sun. The twelve listings in this set, from £7.99 to £33.99, sit on the [artificial plants comparison](/hub/houseplants/artificial-plants). Peter F. compared those listings with public UK sources, updated 21 October 2026. This is not a lab test. If you buy through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Which form you are actually buying

Trail length is the drop from a hook, not a tree. Der Rose's four-pack is £14.99, trails 20.1 to 33.9 inches. The two-pack is about 32–34 inches at £10.99. Lafecuw states 100 cm vines at £10.99. Bafenli is a 7-inch shelf accent at £7.99. Floor pieces are the 28-inch Monstera at £16.99, 18 leaves you click on, and the 90 cm Leaf ficus at £33.99. CQURE is twelve 7 ft ivy vines at £9.99. UXORSN is twenty outdoor stems at £25.99 with no planter. Who each one is for is on best artificial plants.

The size line that beats the photo

UK reviews say plants are smaller than the photo, even when people read the dimensions. Measure in centimetres, and use the bullet when the table is the pack. Bafenli's 7-inch bullet sits next to 14 × 17 × 12 cm. The Monstera's 28 inches matches 71.1 cm. DazSpirit's bullets say pots about 8 × 7.5 cm, and the table says 10 × 10 × 10 mm. CQURE's bullets say 12 vines of 7 ft. The height is 2130 mm, one vine, while a length field says 213 metres. AlphaAcc's 12.8 inches and 32.5 cm agree, but the title, bullets and type field do not name one plant. An unexplained clash means the size is unknown.

Pot, weight and what the picture hides

Plastic wipes down. Pulp does not. Elecoutek says do not submerge the pots, and a damp base broke in a UK review. RV MURTS is pulp too, with cracked pots in the reviews. DazSpirit mixes pulp pots with plastic hanging pots. AlphaAcc is clay at 1.13 kg. The Monstera's 4.3-inch pot, on an 839 g plant, tips in a gust. UXORSN includes no pot. Ceramic planters in the Leaf ficus pictures are illustration only.

Indoor field, outdoor field and a UV tick

A UV tick is not a year. Leaf's one-year fade line belongs to Leaf's own UV-stabilised plants. Bafenli says indoor and outdoor and only fade resistant. The Der Rose four-pack says indoor and outdoor, with UV and no years. The two-pack, the Monstera and AlphaAcc put UV on the features while usage says indoor. Lafecuw, Elecoutek, RV MURTS and DazSpirit are indoor. Direct sun, including through glass, is the wrong spot for an indoor-only field.

What this guide will not decide

This page does not rank the twelve. Crushed leaves are normal. Missing stalks are a description problem, and section 22 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 is the usual 30-day right to reject. No file here has a fire certificate. Do not treat AlphaAcc as one species, or CQURE as 213 metres. Prices on this shelf run from £7.99 to £33.99.

Common questions

What should you check before you buy artificial plants in the UK?
Check the form, then the size bullet against the dimension table, then the pot and the weight, then whether usage says indoor, outdoor, or both. A UV tick with no period is not a year outdoors. Stars come after those four lines. These twelve run from £7.99 to £33.99, and this page does not name a winner.
Why do fake plants look smaller than the photo?
The photo is styled, often in a larger planter than the box. UK reviews here, including people who read the dimensions, still call desk packs smaller than the picture. Bafenli states 7 inches. Measure the shelf in centimetres and use the bullet when the table is only the carton.
Is a 7-inch 4-pack a floor plant?
No. Bafenli's 7-inch bullet is a desk or shelf accent, four plants at £7.99. A floor piece in this set is the 28-inch Monstera or the 90 cm Leaf ficus. Leaf's own rule of thumb, about 30–40 cm of air above floor foliage, is for their plants, not a claim that a 7-inch pot becomes a tree if you stand it on the floor.
Does indoor and outdoor mean full sun?
It means the seller ticked that usage field. It does not state a fade period. Bafenli says indoor and outdoor and only fade resistant. The Der Rose four-pack says indoor and outdoor and UV resistant, still with no years. Listings whose usage field says indoor should stay off a patio, even when a feature line mentions UV.
What if the dimension table and the bullets disagree?
If the table is the carton and the bullet is the plant, use the bullet and say so. DazSpirit's 10 × 10 × 10 mm line cannot be an 8 cm pot, so the table is unusable. CQURE's 213 metre field does not match 12 × 7 ft. When you cannot explain the gap, treat the size as unknown rather than averaging the two numbers.
When is this the wrong buy?
It is the wrong buy for a shop ceiling or an escape route, because none of these files has a fire certificate. It is also the wrong buy if you need one species name from AlphaAcc, or a one-year fade promise copied from a UK retailer's own UV range. Those promises belong to the products that state them.
